Review Bully Hayes Restaurant & Bar - Akaroa

Noon W.
A little bit hesitate after reading the reviews. But still give it a go since not many shops open this early. The atmosphere was lay back and nice. The breakfast was big and great. The waitress looks a little intimadating, but was helpful about the menu. And later we ask for plates to share our food, and something elses several times and got everything we ask for. So everything is great ๐Ÿ˜Š

Ever dependable. We have dined many times at Bully Hayes Restaurant, with different people. Our visit today was an enjoyable and satisfying as always. As group of 8 vegetarians, we had 2 x bread & dips platters, 1 garlic load, 1 x 3 cheese croquettes and 2 x Margherita pizzas. The wait time for food was very less, the food came quicker than expected. Everything was well presented and delicious. We all had a satisfying meal. They seem to have expanded the menu, offering more choices for vegetarians like us. I would happily dine here again.

We had breakfast at the Bully Hayes. It was recommended to us by the lady who works at the Lโ€™Escargot Rouge. Everything was amazing, the food, the service, everything. The portion sizes were good as well. Will definitely recommend it to everyone and we will definitely eat here again.

Was looking forward to the "famous" chowder but the mixed reviews steered us to a safer option - seafood paella and the Chatham Island blue cod. Both were delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. Thanks!

Great service with great food. Ordered beast board for dinner then came back another day for lunch.

One of the better Eggs Bene's out of quite a few places we had brekky at on our tiki tour of the South Island.

Great food coupled with good views across the harbour. The menu is pretty huge with lots of food and drink options, including a separate kids menu. The kids menu included an activity pack which had heaps to keep the kids entertained. Meals are quite pricey; even the 'light meal' options were at the top end of the thirties with just a few dollars difference between those and the main meals.

We(5) had brunch twice it was so good. Wonderful service and quick. I had vegetarian feast, others had eggs Benedict and french toast. Big servings.

Enjoyed the pork and bacon pizza with devil sauce. The salmon dish was good. Service here was great. We were given some marshmallows for our baby boy.

Great friendly customer service. Opened lunch menu earlier than normal as we were shipped in and doing a tour. Went back again in the calendar after tour that us how good it was. GREAT LOCATION! Must have Green lipped mussels ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

We enjoyed our breakfast here two years ago so we had to return again! No, itโ€™s not the cheapest breakfast but it tastes great and is all very fresh. The options on the menu are extensive from breakfast to dinner and lots of excellent drinks choices. Fully recommend a stop for breakfast or lunch here with such excellent views over the bay / harbour of Akaroa. Excellently served (by Lovepreet) as well with the order 100% correct (Sounds simple but with changes or Vegetarian & Vegan options mistakes are often made).
