Great food! Ordered the bluecod and swapped out the regular chips for seasoned wedges instead based on a tip by someone here. Added a seafood chowder too. Bluecod - flaky and fresh. Seasoned Wedges - plump and well seasoned. Seafood chowder - heavy on white onions, and chock-full of seafood like mussels. Service on the other hand, was a little slow, not sure if it's because they had to prepare the food from scratch. But the wait is worth it for the food! Atmosphere - try sitting outside and catch the sunset while you eat. Great views.

We tried Food at this lovely place on Thursday afternoon. Food was very tasty, quantity was very generous. I forgot my wallet at the table and realised when I reached Christchurch. I had about $800 in cash and my bank cards. I phoned the restaurant and spoke to Brent and was amazed at Man's honesty. He made sure my Wallet was sent to me in Christchurch via lovely Courier guy. It's hard to find such honest people now a days. Thank you so much Brent. I will definitely be back.

Ultra friendly service i highly reccomend them. Great batter on the fish. My first fish and chips got sacrificed by seagulls but they were kind enough to make me another one even though it was not there fault. DONT FEED THE BIRDS. Great place and ultra friendly staff!

Best value for money in the area! We bought the seafood mix and loved the variety. The salad that it was served with was very refreshing.

This is a pretty good fish and chip shop. The elephant fish was very good, the batter was crispy and flavourful whilst also not being too oily. The squid curls were fantastic I highly recommend everyone to grab half a dozen of these. The only problem I have with this place are that the chips aren’t very good, they were cooked well but they had almost no taste to them, very little seasoning and looked like they were store bought. If you’re gonna get a scoop of chips I suggest getting a pottle of gravy to go along with it.

We've been here 5 times and every time has been consistently scrumptious food. Serving sizes are right, service spot on and the fish is tasty as. It's always a special time for us having our fish and chips next to the ocean as the sun sets. Thanks for the memories!

One of the best fish n chips I've had..and I'm from Gizzy, where I do pride in the fish n chip shops there.. They even have garlic butter iykyk 👌🏾 Great place to visit, even if it's just for the day.. Fishing is easy as too.. 5 stars hearty 👏🏾

Stunning spot to hook into some quality fish and chips. Batter was crisp, fish fresh AF. Was craving homemade onion rings, sadly not to be this time. Service super friendly, fast to fry. Worth going for a wander up the shoreline to eat. Seagulls surprisingly not too aggressive? Highly recommend.

This place is always pack so be ready to queue or share your table. The food is OK and the price is reasonable. We tried the fish and chips and seafood chowder. They both are OK. Recommended to try if you happens to be in akaroa and would like some seafood with reasonable price.

The best. Walked past it before it was open in the morning. Coming back, it was packed with people and the line was out the door. The operation was effective so the wait was not too long. Most people ordered fish that comes wrapped in paper. We ordered the Blue Cod Fish and Chips meal and it came in a box with utensils, salad, dressings. It is simply one of the best fish and chips that I have tasted. Plenty of seats inside and outside the shop. Highly recommended.
