Review Hilltop Tavern - Akaroa

Didn't actually go in, 5 stars for the stunning view that we stopped for!

Hilltop Tavern is a wonderful for many reasons and I'll be listing some of them in this review. - Great venue inside and outside seating with enough seats so you can bring friends and/or family .A great view and a paddock with when I was the one big wooly sheep. -The staff are lovely people that make the experience even better - The food there is to die for. The meals there are divine and the taste and quality will never let you down Those three reasons are three of many reason of why to go to the wonderful Hilltop Tavern

Good restaurant with million views and can play with sheep. We stop During way to Akarua. This road have many curve. Drive need to be careful.

Great view from the hilltop of the harbour while we enjoyed lunch & a drink outside with our dog 🐕 Gluten-free pizza was pretty good & we didn't have to wait long.

Walked in about half full asked how long a wait for food got an honest answer 'no wait on pizza' ordered pizza and bam five mins later hot pizza and chips being served. Friendly service great views

Amazing view point!! There were a lot of people because of the weekend, but we did not wait. The food came out quickly and it was really delicious!

You will struggle to get a wood fired pizza and a beer with a view like this, anywhere in the world. Definitely worth a stop on the way to Akaroa.

A visit to the Hilltop Tavern is a must if you are in the Akaroa area. The views from the Tavern are amazing, especially looking down over the Bay. This is a delightful place for morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea. The drive up is very scenic too.

Lovely place, the food is tasty, pizzas are great, service is very good and welcoming. The view is fantastic and there's even a playground for the kids! What more could you ask for?

Excellent! Stop inside, the food is as spectacular as the view. I don't understand the bad reviews. Under new ownership; got to meet the family & they were great! My children wouldn't be who they are today if I hadn't stopped...and I don't even have kids yet ;)

WOW!!!! This place is amazing!!!!!! The view is breathtaking!! We tried the bread board and it was pleasant! Well worth the trip!!! The scenery is epic! Most beautifull spot ever! Will return just to sit and look at the veiw. STUNNING!!
