Sweet As Bakery - Akaroa - Photo album

Was recommended by my baker friend. Good job at baking!! Muffin is light fluffy and delicious. Coffee is great!! Lots of seats in the front yard. Beautiful place to have afternoon tea!! Croissant looked great as well.
I posted this to the "French Bakery" business in Akaroa but I think they are called Sweet As Bakery and moved to a different location which is registered in google as a French Bakery. Anyway: The photos doesn't do the meals any justice. We were in Akaroa on a sunday morning and nothing was open! W
Not smart but just what I was after, a French inspired Kiwi cafe that knows bread and breakfast European style. Not that I could have any (bread, croissants et ) 'cos I'm a coeliac, but could still appreciate its ambience and expertise. My coffee was good.
It is not France but they try hard. Good selection of pastries, croissant and sandwiches. Good for breakfast and to stock up for snacks to take on hikes or other outdoor activities. Staff friendly.
Very good place for lunch. The food is delicious. Chowder is amazing. Tables outside I think need new clothes.
Perfect place for your breakfast. It was pretty nice to see a different type of bakery than here in NZ are. No fried food at all, finally. Delicious pastries close to the French one. I Recommend this place!
Perfect spot under the trees. Staff should remember always to keep cashier area tidy and uncluttered and always keep attention to tables being wiped and cleared promptly. This will ensure more five star experiences. I'm giving five stars for outside for the warm atmosphere with beautiful purple boa
Hot chocolate was lovely and the chocolate muffin was to die for. Staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful.
Great little place. Cozy and also there is amazing food. Try the baguette fresh in the morning!
Excellent all round. The crepes are divine. Eggs Benedict were fantastic. Fantastic staff- smiling and friendly and very engaging. Wonderful outdoor seating. Definitely returning again and again and again
I really enjoyed the coffee and there was a bit of a collection of croissants and bites. Only had morning tea there but there was a menu for food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Only annoying about the outdoor is the sparrows flying around but this is a thing about all outdoor places. But its plenty o
Came here twice. The server that we had was absolutely lovely, she even made up a sandwich for us when all the sandwiches on offer were sold out. She was very attentive and asked us a few times whether we'd like dressing with our sandwich and whether we'd like any other sauces. The sandwich itself
Coffee was great! The pastry's were next level delicious and the panini was on eof the best I've had! Great service all around, would highly reccomend to enjoy a coffee here out in the sun.
