Nice atmosphere, live music was great. Steak was cooked perfectly as asked for. Probably the best steak meal I've ever eaten.Garlic bread and chips were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My partner and I arrived late on a Friday night after work, we hadn’t had tea and the supermarket was shut. Our hotel had suggested dinner across the road at the grand hotel, it was amazing. We went back again for our second night of our trip. Best nachos I’ve ever had!! All reasonably priced and such good food! All staff were friendly and one of the girls recognised us when we went back the second night and welcomed us back. Will definitely be going back next time we are in akaroa!!

Stopped in for some bar snacks and a couple of drinks before the drive home. Great open outdoor area on a nice day. Friendly bar staff and bar snacks were reasonably priced and tasty. Will definitely be back!

Great location. Amazing staff. Great selection of food and drinks at amazing prices. Clean and tidy. The Seafood Chowder and Cheesy Garlic and Herb Loaf was absolutely amazing

Absolutely beautiful meals, served with alot of care to detail. Location was comfortable and relaxed.

Called in for some lunch. Casual, friendly pub. Food we had was delicious and good portion size.

Had a lovely Sunday roast here and it was delicious. A nice atmosphere (a good fire going in the winter!) and a good selection of drinks.

Wonderful experience had. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Drinks were great as was service. Enjoyed playing pool while waiting for dinner service to start and would definitely return and recommend.

Went to the grand for lunch I had mussels and partner had lamb salad both were excellent , great out door area and game area for kids, was so good went back and had meal tonight. Highly recommend and try the mussels
