The Wharf - Akaroa - Photo album

Nice, clean setting right by the water. The restaurant was really on theme and had nice ambience. For our starters we order the oysters and for mains we ordered the special fish and chips and Bengali seafood curry. The seafood was fresh as you’d expect from a waterside restaurant and curry was surpr
What a beautifully situated restaurant thus is. The service was super friendly and the food did not let it down one bit. It was bloody fantastic :). We both had the salmon and the kids had the chicken tenders and pizza which were generous portions too.
Stopped in for snacks as we missed lunch and ended up leaving quite full! Dad had the chowder which he very much enjoyed, Mum and I shared olives, chicken liver parfait and bread with dukka, all were good. Service was ok, not particularly hospitable but the guy who we paid at the end was warm.
Can't comment on the hotel, but the restaurant is really good, friendly service and food was good, albeit quite pricey, but that's to be expected in this type of location. Lots of reviews are unhappy with the seafood, luckily Im not into that. I ordered the Porterhouse steak with parmesan sprinkled
I absolutely LOVED this restaurant. It was so amazing. From the friendliest of staff to the amazing food. It was my first time at Akaroa and I'm so glad I stopped by at the Wharf. Definitely coming back here...
Great spot for some local oysters and other seafood dishes. Place can be busy when the ship is in the harbor. Local craft bear on tap and fresh oysters by the dozen or half dozen.
Great food, beer and wine selection. We really enjoyed the seafood platter for 1 overlooking Akatoa harnour.
Good lunch meal for the burger with chips. It's a great lunch to have. Out door seating great view while having your meal

Just a charming little seaside seafood restaurant in the heart of downtown Akaroa. Great food and friendly service!
Great food with a cosy seating area outside. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Excellent location. Rooms tidy. View and balcony a plus. Downstairs restaurant and bar good.
Had eggs bennie with bacon, was very well presented and tasty. Good long black ☕️ as well. Great outside area to take in the views, well worth a visit. 👍
