Review Copper Spot Cafe - Albany

My workmates and I dine here regularly. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices, generous portions! Had the shrimp dumpling salad for lunch today and it was delicious. My fellow 4 diners all loved their food. The presentation of the dishes is outstanding. Definitely will return again and again!!!

This place is a real treat. The staff are so prompt, kind, and friendly! The food is delicious, especially the sweet and spicy chicken. I would skip the toasties, unless you are looking for a very safe food option. They are a little bland. But everything else on the menu sings with flavour and the cabinet food is super tasty. And their spicy chai is actually spicy and flavourful. Would recommend this - and we will be back.

4.5 stars. The coffee here as well as their cabinet food have great attention to detail and tastes great and comforting. However the interior seating does feel a bit tight and makes it hard to fully feel relaxed.

Lovely place we never been to before. I have to say we left quite impressed, bellies very full and satisfied. Very interesting twist to the standard beef burger, the bulgogi patty gave it a sweeter taste. Missus had the Creamy Mushroom, and says its good. When she says anything is good... Its usually a 5 star for anyone else :) Will definitely return

Great food, strong coffee, free WiFi and friendly service! You can’t go wrong here. It’s quickly become an Albany favorite for me. Try the green tea frappe — it’s creamy and delicious. Such an addictive cold drink for a hot summer day. Lovely outdoor seating area too. Variety of both cabinet & menu items is impressive. I’ll definitely be back!

A nice new cafe in Albany area. Warm and sweet atmosphere in store. Friendly staffs. We have the beef burger, Salmon benedict and lamb pasta; they were all wonderful. Good coffee to end our lunch.

nice interior design, staff are all helpful. brunch Menu is designed so good that matched asian taste. price are reasonable, we got both big portion size of our orders. And the flavor is out the gate, literally surprised me, I had the lamb, which was soooo good, and my bf also highly commented his omelette. well done chef!

I popped in here to have brunch while the kids were at a party at clip and climb just down the road. What a fantastic place to eat! Will happily come back here again, delicious food, beautifully presented, great atmosphere, fantastic, Staff!

This is a lovely cafe. It has a very comfortable atmosphere from the space and fresh air of the outside seating to the close and cozy feeling on the inside. The food was fine but the coffee was great. Will come back again

This was a bit of surprise. Stuck in the office wasteland of Albany, we went in a weekend, had a great brunch which meant satisfied us for most of the day. Nice food, reasonable prices, and most importantly good coffee. So don't be put off by the location - it's worth a visit.

I enjoyed a lovely lunch at Copper Spot Cafe and Eatery and would definitely come back to try some other items on their menu! However there are some rooms for improvement at this cafe!<br/><br/>I experienced friendly service and prompt seating and serving. I ordered a tropical smoothie and the spicy chicken burger which came with hashtag fries, tomato sauce and aioli.<br/><br/>I asked the waitress what fruits were in the tropical smoothie and she mentioned mango, passionfruit, pineapple and banana. Unfortunately, my smoothie did not taste "tropical" at all and tasted like milk with a hint of banana and coconut. There was a piece of dried strawberry and a couple of pieces of dried banana inside my smoothie and the glass rim had coconut flakes stuck on it. The smoothie was also white (as seen in my photo), even though I was expecting it to be yellow or orange due to the "tropical" fruits mentioned by the waitress.<br/><br/>I was really looking forward to my drink and was disappointed that it did not look or taste "tropical" because it lacked the appropriate fruits. Paying $8.50 for a milk and dried banana smoothie was not worth it!! :( Next time, if the staff knew there was a fruit shortage, they should tell their customer and ask if they wanted a different smoothie instead.<br/><br/>The spicy chicken burger and hashtag fries I ordered were very yummy and made me feel better after my not so impressive smoothie. The chicken was tender and crispy and the rest of the burger fillings complemented each other well. My only complaint about the chicken was that it was not spicy at all. The hashtag fries were crispy and flavourful.

Proudly our new breakfast and coffee spot. After living in Albany we struggled to find a good local spot before we found Copper Spot! Awesome food, great coffee and a super friendly team! A++++

Got the eggs Benedict with salmon, and was very satisfied with the meal. Plating was aesthetic, eggs were perfectly runny, good amount of smoked salmon, soft and buttery scone. The things that were different about this dish were the potato hash, beetroot relish, and crumbed courgettes: these 3 added more texture and flavours and complemented each other as well as the normal ingredients very well.

My girlfriend and I love the food. The ambiance is just right, our type of place and dishes. I will surely be back, having a better zomato offer would be awesome 😊

I came here for lunch with a friend after seeing the high rating of the place. The customer service was friendly, the food presentation was lovely and our meals came out quick. Unfortunately, they experience as a whole did not meet expectations as the coffees were terrible and the food did not taste as good as it looked. I will not be coming back here.

I came to Copper Spot with my mum, brother and dog. What I love about Copper Spot is that they have an outdoor area, which is pet friendly. You also have to order at the counter, which is low key bad because you are tempted by their cabinet food (I almost fell into that trap). My brother got the beef burger with fries and an iced chocolate, my mum got the scallop risotto and I got the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and sourdough, instead of toasted bread. <br/><br/>The food took awhile to come out compared to other cafes but I can’t really complain much as it was worth the wait. My eggs were so delicious! Probably one of the best scrambled eggs I’ve had since it wasn’t overly greasy and buttery, it was more watery which I actually prefer. I topped it off with a lot of pepper and it was the perfect protein rich lunch! The smoked salmon was pretty good but a bit expensive for the amount given and it was also store brought. My brother really enjoyed his burger, especially the fries. He said they tasted fresh and crispy, comparing them to the Kimchi Project’s fries. Mum loved her risotto and it smells fantastic too! <br/><br/>I would come back to Copper Spot if I’m in the area as they also offer 1+1 food.

Nice and modern decor. Comfortable environment. My friend came a few times already but it's my first time, we both have Zomato Gold. Scallops Risottos the most eye catching dish for me in the menu, we both have the same ...lol, delicious. Will come again. 👍👍👍

Ordered Meat Lovers Panini from the snacks showcase, excellent quality, filling n good amount. Quick service. Too good for the price n much better than a big sub. Went impromptu as was nearby for work. Very good small place housefull. Must try. Will go again for sure to try other offerings. Cheers

We came here for breakfast the other day. Both of us had ordered the portobello mushroom stack. The food came after 20 minutes, which was not quick but acceptable. However the dish is lovely both in presentation and taste. It was full of flavour and I especially enjoyed the lentils.<br/><br/>I also ordered a flat white coffee which I feel the quality was below par.<br/><br/>Overall I did enjoy my stay here, I would definitely come back again.<br/><br/>Ambiance - 4/5<br/>Taste - 4/5<br/>Value - 4 with zomato gold, 3 without

I ordered the portabello mushroom stack. Generous serving of mushrooms, cooked nicely with a bit of chew; eggs poached perfectly; and accompanied by healthy and tasty lentils. I loved this dish and I love that their menu has healthy options with interesting ingredients. Decent coffee (black) and quick, efficient service. Will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes. I’ve had the Thai beef salad and chicken salad here before but I felt that they were very heavily dressed, although super tasty. I guess it’s just a personal preference. Love love love the portabello stack though!

We called into The Copper Spot Cafe and Eatery for lunch. We decided to sit outside under cover in a very pleasant dining area. We used our Zomato Gold option without difficulty. We chose two big breakfasts from the ample menu. The ambience was really good and both breakfasts arrived quickly. The food was truly delicious. Our only feedback was the sausage as it wasn't overly tasty (a different sausage and we'd have given 5 stars :)

First off the decor is gorgeous and all the staff were incredibly friendly.We ordered the chicken salad and the mushroom stack and loved both the meals. Everything was cooked perfectly and even though every indoor table was full our meals came out promptly. We will for sure be back to try the rest of the menu and of course some coffee too. I can imagine dining in the outdoor area on a nice summers day would be lovely.

My burger meat was slightly warm, didn't enjoy it, my wife salad was nice part from the beef meat being really dry, felt like it was cooked yesterday and heated up in the microwave.<br/><br/>Customer service was great, the Waitress always smiles.<br/>But they didn't even give us any knife or folk, had to go look for one.<br/><br/>Overall its a good place, jusy disappointed of my meal

A really nice cafe, we used our gold 1 + 1 on food here. The creamy mushrooms and pasta were really good, lots of flavour and decent portions. <br/>The kids pancakes were slightly stale but the staff happily replaced them with pancakes that were much more fresh and offered my son a cookie to apologise. So all in all customer service was really good and the food was great! <br/>❤️

Thai beef salad has no flavour at all and the beef is dry and tough. The beef in the burger is not fresh, but chips are nice. Flat white looks good but drinks like medicine. Smoothie is good. Will not visit again.

Came here last Saturday morning for a brunch and was quite impressed by this place!! The food was well presented and the coffee was great!  Love the ambiance of this place, very enjoyable.

Came by bright and early on a Sunday morning for a good breakfast to kick start the day.<br/><br/>There were a range of food options available on the menu, but was quite limited for the veggie options. Nonetheless, I ordered the corn fritters which was a new addition to their menu. The presentation of it, as well as the other dishes ordered amongst us, looked very pleasant and appetising! I found the corn fritters to be slightly too dry but all in all it was nicely done. The big breakfast and the eggs benedict (not pictured) all looked very tasty too! As for serving size, I thought it was a good portion, but prices tended towards the more spendy side for a typical breakfast.<br/><br/>Once we ordered, the food and drinks came promptly and the staff were quite approachable too. The aesthetics of the place was on point. It gave off a clean, simple yet unique touch with the copper utensils and matching brown tables and hanging lights.<br/><br/>Food: 6/10<br/>Ambiance: 7/10<br/>Service: 7/10

A great place to come for a cute brunch date. The staff are very friendly and there's a wide selection of both cabinet food and menu food. An amazing cafe with some of the best customer service I’ve ever had. We celebrated a birthday and the waitress was so attentive and accommodating for our group. The food is so delicious and their fruit smoothies are the best I’ve had as they are more sorbet, less milky which I enjoy.<br/>Overall, excellent service, amazing food. One of my go to cafes in Auckland.

Waiting time a little bit longer but we understand that it was a super busy weekday, luckily we had a table, the food was great and the location is good.

We've gone for brunch here for the last four Saturdays and have enjoyed it each time. We've probably tried six different dishes and they were all consistently good. Service is fast and the staff are all really friendly. Always seems busy, but there's lots of parking and we've always managed to get a table without a wait.

I loved that it came with both an English muffin as well as a potato rosti, the flavours were great and I thought the courgette chips were a very unique touch - definitely the highlight of the dish.<br/><br/>The interior of the place was very modern and new. I particularly liked seeing them store their plates, teapots, cups etc on shelves up top, with plant leaves snaking around the structures like vines. Service was very warm and friendly.

We came here last Sunday afternoon and you could definitely tell that this is a popular food spot! The presentation of the food was stunning. I mean, just look! The taste was pretty average ~ I wasn’t amazed or anything. The ambiance was quite enjoyable, which is always a bonus!

Cool presentation, really nice aesthetics, good deal for Zomato Gold members but honestly food just isn’t that great. Big breakfast arrived looking real well plated but individual elements were bland, dry and the dish overall somehow made you feel tired of eating?? ...needless to say, we couldn’t finish everything and had to takeaway (crisscross fries was good but how bad do you have to be to botch up fries amiright) but for what it’s worth, I would give it a second chance and order something else next time. Service was alright and they use Coffee Supreme, which is always a win in my books.

Favourite place in Albany for breakfast. We’ve been multiple times & it is apart of Zomato Gold which is a bonus for us! All meals are great sizes - we’ve tried most of the breakfast menu.... service and speed of food is great.

Food was Above average. Nice decoration and presentation. Food came out fast but taste is a bit ordinary. My chai latte has some small lumps. Is it supposed to be like that? Also very limited free parking available. You do need to pay to park in the street.

Coffee was great! Wasn’t too satisfied with our meals though - we had the mushroom stack but we felt the portion was quite small for $19 and there were far too many lentils, maybe even more than there was mushrooms 🤔

Located on the hill behind Albany mall, if you&rsquo;re over the crowds near the mall you should check this place out. They have tables both inside and the covered outside area. <br/><br/>Using Zomato gold we ordered their big breakfast and mighty beef burger. The food was great, portion size was very satisfying. One thing that was concerning was that the paint on the black plates that the food was served on scratched off when we used our knives to cut food. I also felt that the rosti from the Big breakfast menu could have been taken out of the fryer too early, still cooked but not crunchy enough.<br/><br/>I&rsquo;ve had their haloumi eggs benedict as well. The plating is pretty with edible flowers. But the ingredients (poached eggs, fried courgette and halloumi) didn&rsquo;t complement each other when eaten together, it was better to eat each ingredient separately, like a deconstructed. So I was disappointed with the taste. <br/><br/>There are cute pieces of copper decorations to emphasise their name. The overall service, atmosphere and coffee is excellent! I have never had any problems with parking which is very convenient.

We ordered the Egg Benne and The Kiwi. The flavour was good but for some reasons both of our dishes are cold; I also had green tea latte which the coffee flavour was light but still taste good. Overall I am happy to come back again to try different dishes and coffee.

The food were OK bit underseasoned though. Good location. Staff was friendly. Coffee for some reason didn't hit the spot. We ordered hot chocolate, flat white, latte;all of these was so diluted.

I have lived in S.Korea for 3years and this is absolutely my new favorite brunch spot on the Shore! It felt like I was back in Seoul in the neighborhood of Garosu-gil. The restaurant had a relaxed feel and is beautiful decorated. The staff are friendly and the food was surreal! Even the large coffee were a decent size as you’d expect!

Lovely Korean fusion cafe in Albany. I simply love their modern yet elegant interior decor. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had to wait a bit for the food to arrive as the cafe was quite busy when we came. However, the food really makes up for the wait: nicely presented & tasty. The portion is quite good too. This cafe very worths the go especially if you have Zomato Gold. Definitely come back!

Great ambience. it would have been nice if they would have cleaned the table for us as it was slightly dirty but I could see they were fairy busy. we ordered mighty beef burger and scallop risotto. the burger was nice but little hard to eat. the scallop was quite disappointing. It was very very dry. it looked pretty but it was so dry that I could eat it with my fork. might come again to try other foods but I wouldn't recommend the risotto.

Initially the food was actually amazing. They have a great creamy mushroom and chicken pasta of the day. However, we’ve now been there 3 times and 2/3 times we’ve found pieces of hair in both of our meals. My partner had an omelette and found one inside and I had one under my piece of bacon. Although food is really good, the hygiene levels need to be taken more seriously as the odds of this happening to me twice within a couple of weeks are extremely bad.

The staff were super friendly and the service was quick. It's nice to be able to park so close too with their designated carparks - which can be hard in Albany!<br/>The food was pretty good - we got the eggs Benedict and it was well presented and filling. The only thing that let it down was that the hollandaise had a very mild taste, and not that sharp flavour hit that you usually get with hollandaise. <br/><br/>However, the other food on the menu and the cabinet food looked amazing - so we're going to go back and try more of the menu!

Wonderful place. Very friendly staff and decently sized portions. Been there twice for the burger which was above average and the soba noodles which were very refreshing and deliciously cooked prawns. Ice chocolate was great too!

After living in Albany for quite a while we found it hard to find a great local cafe until we found Copper Spot. This has become our favourite place to eat. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Brilliant food and clean and tidy

We had a beef burger and soba noodle salad. They both had a good presentation but a little lack of source and taste overall. Beef patties were a bit dry. Chips were nicely done crispy and soft inside. Good friendly customer service.<br/>Overall it’s an averages experience to me.

Food quality was not good. The fish burger not tasty. Fried eggs with super black egg white. They fried the sunny side up egg together with the stain of their pan and serve to customer. Told them and they just said was the stain of pan. No intention to say sorry about this horrible fried egg. Won't go back again.

Early weekday breakfast service was a bit slow due to only 1 person doing coffees and taking orders. Enjoyed my cuppa and have mixed feelings about food. Bene was served with hmm sweet fluffy thick bread which was not nicely matched with all other savoury flavours. The zucchini chips were also something unusual but I liked it 😋

Ordered the avocado on toast which was average. The avocado was mixed with sth sour (vinegar maybe?) which totally covered the original taste of the food itself but the kumera cake was a highlight

Copper Spot Cafe & Eatery is located on top of the busy Westfield Albany Mall so it’s easy to find parking with plenty of off-street parking on the weekend. <br/><br/>Food was delicious but must say it took waaaay too long. I waited 45 minutes to get my meals - we ordered the chicken salad and the big breakfast. The big breakfast had some parts that were cold and some that were hot. Overall food was delicious but just would’ve been a lot more enjoyable if the wait wasn’t as long. We did receive an apology when it arrived which was nice. <br/><br/>Service wise, we weren’t greeted or seated when we arrive until we asked someone as they walked past us.

We went to Copper Spot today for brunch and ordered the house fish burger, beef burger and a kids pasta. Food was great and portions were very big My daughter didnt quite like the spaghetti bolognese as it had chunks of carrots. It was a pleasant visit :)

Been here couple times and enjoyed it everytime. Love the matcha latte and soba noodle salad, so refreshing and tasty. A great place for a simple meal or a coffee.

Was recommended with place by Zomato and I can definitely say it was worth the trip! The presentation of the food is immaculate and the combination of flavours on every dish is to die for. First of all this cafe is gorgeous, decorated all in copper with glass windows looking outside ☺️ the dishes are also plated beautifully, which is a nice touch 👍🏼 I ordered the eggs benny with halloumi and my mate ordered the kiwi. The play on hollandaise was good but I just felt myself craving some proper hollandaise to be honest 😅 the courgette chips were a nice touch - thoroughly enjoyed those but that was the only component of the dish I really loved 🤷🏻‍♀️ The bread was very sweet and didn’t suit the dish at all - trust me I’m all about asian bread when it suits (typically a little sweeter), but I found that it didn’t suit the dish very well and all I wanted was an English muffin 😬 Halloumi was also a little undercooked and could have done with some crisp. Overall a beautiful place to eat, but the eggs benny definitely needs a bit of work!

Had heard good things about this place so we stopped in to try and we were pleasantly suprised. We ordered the eggs bene and the slow cooked lamb both were amazing and beautifully presented. The staff were very accommodating and helpful so far has been a a favourite place for brekky will definately be coming back

Pretty cafe at albany! We had egg benedict with smoked salmon, big breakfast, ice americano and green tea latte. Unlike other cafes that normally serve rosti or potato cake for your benedict, they used zucchini fritters which is quite good and special. However, their sausage from the big breakfast was a little over fried, turned out it was abit too hard. Green tea latte n iced americano were both good! Staffs are friendly and we like the ambient alot too. Will come back again to try other food from the menu.

Nice food. I ordered 2 coffees, egg Benedict with bacon and Avo lovers. The guacamole on avo lovers was refreshing and the kale chips also so crispy. Egg benedict was good too. The coffee was good too. On the other hands, the toilet was not so clean, probably because it is the sharing one. Customer service was okay.

Finally got the chance to try this cafe in albany for lunch. Nice vibe and decor with copper highlights - hence the name. <br/>They serve their dishes with care. Both of our dishes looked beautiful & they taste just as good too. The chicken salad was deceivingly filling, as there was a mount of salad topped with fried shavings on top for a texture contrast. <br/>Their coffee is always on point too!<br/>

Food was okay. Nice amount of sauce, egg was poached perfectly. Croquette was nice and crunchy. Flavours were a bit too rich and didn’t work that well together. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our food and felt quite heavy afterwards. But staff were really nice.

What a fantastic addition in Albany, this is a gem! We arrived on a sunny Saturday afternoon and chose to sit outside in their patio. <br/><br/>The menu offers all the essentials you would ask for in a cafe; yet each have their own twists! <br/>We got the Salmon Omelette, The Kiwi, and Parti-Coloured Chicken Salad to share between 2; plus a Green Smoothie and Strawberry and Banana Smoothie.<br/><br/>Food arrived with just enough time for you to be craving for their food, but right before you get hungry! <br/>All of their dishes are elegantly presented with generous portions and good prices!<br/><br/>- Salmon Omelette (7/10). Delicately perched on the plate with slices of cooked salmon, I was pretty excited to try this. The omelette itself was a bit on the dry side, and perhaps not as thick as it should be. It was also a bit on the bland side, I would recommend seasoning it yourself. The salmon, however, was cooked wonderfully - moist, soft, and cooked to perfection. Perhaps the mushrooms, tomatoes and other elements could be better integrated into the dish; such as mushrooms mixed with the omelette batter so that the omelette is more exciting in terms of texture and flavours! My friend thought this was really good though! <br/><br/>- The Kiwi (9/10). I saw that this was one of their more popular dishes, so I ordered this without a second thought. It's hearty without being heavy, and gives you a taste of different textures and culinary techniques. Everything sits on some bread to soak and mop up the flavoursome sauces! The pulled lamb melts in the mouth and was an absolute delight to eat! I think the chefs can be a little more courageous with the spices and seasoning of it though; it's great as it is but needs something punchy to lift it up! The croquettes had good flavours and was soft inside with a crispy coating - well done! The rosemary and kumara puree was the perfect condiment to balance everything out, and the poached egg was the perfect cherry on top! <br/><br/>- Parti-Coloured Chicken Salad (10/10). This exceeded my expectations! What a spectacular EXPLOSION of textures, colours and flavours! Each mouthful was like a party in the mouth. The warm chicken pieces were cooked beautifully without being dry and well-seasoned; and the kumara was warm and soft. The topping of fried kumara/potato strips ontop further heightened the texture game in this dish. By contrast, the non-warm ingredients like corn, pomegranate-flavours quinoa puffs, and lettuce made it an unusually satisfying experience - everything just pops! What really attracted me was the carrot puree! That was bang-on the money - full of flavour and intricately pulled everything together! This was my personal favourite! <br/><br/>Smoothies were deliciously refreshing, albeit the Strawberry & Banana one was a bit on the sweet side for my liking. I actually saw another drink in their photos that has a gradient from purple to pink to yellow; but sadly it was a seasonal/limited drink and I missed out! <br/><br/>The good thing about Copper Spot is that their patio is covered with transparent covers so you don't get the unwanted flies and all of that heat; whilst still getting the view looking out onto the lake! There is also a lot of indoor seating available too! Service is extremely friendly and prompt; in most instances your food would arrive altogether, perfect for photos and so no-one has to wait that long! It seemed like the baristas were really experienced in this field, plus they used the coffee brand Supreme.<br/><br/>Meals came out pretty fast, we went with a group of 6 the meals came out within 20 minutes. <br/>We ordered, French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Beef Burger, Big Breakfast and Omelette.<br/><br/>French Toast was very fancy. Colourful diced fruits, bacons, chunky toasts topped with candy floss and maple syrup.<br/><br/>Eggs Bene was quite unique too. Copper Spot Cafe and Eatery is a beautiful neat cafe located in Albany with indoor and outdoor covered seating. <br/><br/>The staff are very friendly and attentive, welcoming us with lemon water and great service. <br/><br/>We ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, bacon eggs Benedict, hashtag fries (so yum!), French toast and coffees. <br/><br/>My friend described her mocha as “perfect mix of chocolate and coffee flavours”, highly recommended!<br/><br/>The eggs in the Benedict were perfectly cooked, however instead of traditional hollandaise sauce they use a green sauce made from herbs and tasted a bit odd. The eggs Benedict also had pieces of fried courgette which didn’t go well with the rest of the flavours of the eggs Benedict. <br/><br/>Next came the French toast, we were very surprised how pretty the dish was! It was so instagrammable and tasted really good. We enjoyed the caramelised banana with the thick bread and bacon, definitely worth a try!<br/><br/>Overall, Copper Spot is a great place for brunch and photos for all you instagram foodies. Came here on a Sunday lunchtime...there was only one indoor seat left when I’d arrived showing how popular this place is! The staff was efficient and they provide table service which is always nice :) I had a very polite lady serve me and she was super fast with clearing plates 👍🏼 Yummy food and dessert (I had a salmon omelette and carrot cake from the cabinet). Nothing much I can say for improvement, would come again!!

This cafe has a great atmosphere. The styling is slick and quirky at the same time - I absolutely love it. The styling does not end with the decor, though. Even the food was presented very well - and it was also beautifully cooked. I had "the kiwi" (slow cooked shredded lamb), which was excellent. The coffee was en par with that, too. The whole experience was rounded off with very friendly service. A lovely place to eat!

Avocado lovers must try the pita! The coffee is nice, the food is delicious. I love the muffins and Kumara cake here, best partner with coffee. I also like the hot cake, kids love it too. The beef burger is tasty and juicy, yummy~

Bulgogi is Korean fire meat that is marinated and grilled on a BBQ. I was expecting a delicious charcoal styled tasting pattie, which was spicy. What I got was a sloppy wet tasteless pattie that was semi sweet. The burger actually came with two tasteless sloppy wet patties. See photo to see how wet the burger was. I didn’t get any gherkin either. <br/>Hash tag fries were ok. Overall, disappointed with the burger.

Our local cafe from work as it sits directly across the road which is super convenient.<br/><br/>Have eaten there a handful of times over the past months and every time the food has been consistently good and of a high standard. Nothing to out of the ordinary food wise but they do have some interesting looking drinks.<br/><br/>Copper is everywhere and does work for the rather small space. Nice cozy place, with beautiful decor. Food is alright, it seems to me that they are giving the kiwi style breakfast a little Japanese twist. Overall I really enjoyed the coffee and food.

Really love the decor inside the cafe, there's not much space within the cafe itself though. Ordered the chef's egg benedict, 'the Kiwi', and hot chocolate. Food were okay, it's yum but nothing exceptional. They look really pretty though. Service was quick and friendly but their food prices are on the steep side compared to other cafes in the area.

Lovely decor and the place looks nice. My wife and I came here for brunch. I ordered the “Hit the spot” and she ordered “Eggs Benedict”. The “Hit the spot” was basically their big breakfast, presented really nice. My only comment is the sausage was a bit dry on how it was cut and cooked. Staff were friendly and polite. A popular new cafe in Albany is the Copper Spot and after reading several very positive reviews we decided to try for ourselves. The place was full and had a nice buzz - it also has an outside dining area with good views, but the weather meant inside was the order of the day. The menu offers a small but excellent selection and we went for "Hit the Spot" (big breakfast) and the "Kiwi". These were not just substantial meals, but works of art on a plate. Hit the Spot was served on a slate platter and comprised a castle-shaped sculpted chorizo, two eggs, oven roasted tomato, portobello mushrooms, kumara rosti bites and bacon, decorated with smears of beetroot purée and blobs of goats cheese mousse, accompanied by a mini sage bread loaf - fantastic. The Kiwi comprised slow-cooked pulled lamb, kumara rosti bites, rosemary and kumara purée, spinach, walnut mini loaf and kumara crisps - superb. The food is exceptionally good, very tasty, beautifully presented, and very good value for money. Also the service is welcoming and very efficient. We strongly recommend this cafe, and we will certainly be back!

We had the Advocado Salmon bagel from the bakery counter and Advocado Lovers from the kitchen. I asked for my poached eggs to be cooked a bit more and they did it perfectly, not too runny but not well done, love it!The bread also had a good texture. Maybe a bit more decoration as the Advocado mash turned into a bit yellowish colour. The Salmon bagel had a taste of sweetness which I think should be reduced. Overall lovely experience and a great destination to catch up with friends.

Came to try out this new cafe in Albany a few days ago. Lovely setting and friendly service. However, the eggs Benedict I had that day wasn’t so impressive. The hollandaise sauce was thin and watery for some reason, and lacked flavour. The eggs were cooked well though. The bread at the bottom was soggy and bland, I think something with a bit more crunch or flavour would serve the dish better. Especially because there were only 2 thin slices of prosciutto, meaning the dish lacked a highlight, flavour and balance. The price wasn’t reflective of the serving portion, I wished there was more substance in the dish. Good start for a new cafe, but I hope this cafe will evolve over time.

This cafe is small, but it’s absolutely beautiful. The decor when you enter just blows you away and the touches of copper everywhere are wonderful. Everything about it screams comfort and class. The coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had and the food is a gastronomic delight.
