Been coming here since I was a child. Still slaps. The chicken fried rice is honestly so amazing I've never had one as good as theirs. Whenever I have people over and get takeaway they always love the fried rice.

Really yum takeaways. Lot's of lovely fresh vegetables and large pieces of meat. Always great flavour and great service. Great value for money.

This is my 2nd visit, 1st time I bought burgers but this time I liked their Fish & chips..both are top quality and definitely will go again..👍

Came to get Chinese food for this takeaways was well worth the money spent very fresh tasty food highly recommend the steak black bean was awesome and the chicken chow mean was awesome so tasty and fresh veggies I will be coming back here . And the two old couple that run this takeaways were so friendly and lovely to deal with even gave us a free drink blessings to there hospitalaty .

Lovely family and great food - esp. the vegetables which were cooked to perfection. We were sad when we lost our local, Lokmins, but these guys are even better! Very happy to find you.

The meal way very poorly cooked and had no flavor. The chips were too oily and the chicken and vegetable dishes were over cooked and the chicken meat was brown. I don't mean to be disrespectful but not a nice place to eat at in my opinion

Ordered pork chow mien and chicken chow main. The noodles were soft and gluey they were clumpy and disgusting. Limited variety of verges that were over cooked and the the favour was bland and a milky colour sauces. I had visitors who wanted Chinese Takeaway. I had said that wasn't keen as last time they were awful. We certainly won't go back. The second bad experience there and to make matters worse don't take credit card<br/><br/>

I saw the good reviews and decided to try this place out since I live nearby. It is in quite a hidden place, not exactly central Albany.<br/><br/>It was quite a disappointing meal, I ordered a curry pork and veges and a potato fritter. The rice was in huge hard clumps and the potato in the potato fritter was raw and the outside was super hard. The pork and vegetables were okay. The only upside was that service was fast.<br/><br/>Overall, I wouldn't order these items again, I might try some other things on the menu.

I have only been to sun horse once, however I will not go back again. Aside from the lovely service, the sweet and sour pork was totally over cooked, resulting in hard and not chewable meat that had zero flavour. The chicken chow mien veges were fresh, however there was big blobs of gelatine which instantly put me off. Overall, not a very satisfying takeaway experience.

Just been to our favourite Chinese take aways!! Awesome service and<br/>lovely people, we even got a free treat tonight! Try the vegetarian special. Yummy food, sweet n sour, fried rice, chow<br/>mien, chicken satay all our<br/>favourites!!!! We recommend you try yourself.

Chinese food is great! :) - European food is average - Chips are good & Fish is pretty average but large. <br/>This is my go to Takeaways for Chinese.

Read some good reviews about this takeaway, but the truth is that I haven't had a good experience.<br/><br/>The meat of my Burger was worst than McDonald's, and I think the pineapple just didin't match with the rest of the ingredients.<br/><br/>The chips were very good though, and the price is petty cheap.

Best Chinese takeaways in Auckland! The owners are always so friendly and the portion sizes are amazing for the price you pay! We always get sweet and sour chicken, vege fried rice and a vege chow mein. There are so many other choices as well. I will come back every single time I want Chinese food and I encourage people to do the same!

I came to order from Sun horse again and it has been quite a while since i have ordered from them. The food i must say didn't look very fresh especially the vegetables but i loved their sweet sour pork. Their chips were crispy but it had too much salt. I don't think i will order anything else from this shop except for their sweet and sour pork.

Excellent food, best Chinese food on the north shore. Sweet and sour chicken is awesome , great food and great service definitely recommended

Sun Horse has the best Chinese food on the shore! We have tried several places before, but always go to Sun Horse now. The noodles are gorgeous, veges are cooked just right, and the chips are great. Nothing is greasy, and my husband and boys love the combination dishes. For me, as a non meat eater, there is a great selection of dishes. And if you are just after fish and chips the batter is wonderfully crispy!

We are very picky about our Chinese food.<br/><br/>After Torbay's Golden Wong went through a range of different owners - we tried almost every Chinese takeaway in our neighborhood.<br/><br/>Sun Horse has been the best so far. We love their big home-made spring rolls, sweet n sour chicken with no grisly chicken bits and bbq pork fried noodles. <br/><br/>Simply the best IMHO.

This is our local chip shop and this review is about their chips. We think they are the best chips in our area; cooked just enough to have a crunch to them without being burnt and lightly salted. Yum.
