Review Kfc - Albany

Had a fantastic service tonight 14 Oct 2023 approximately 7pm. Despite how hectic it was, their young team of staff were extremely helpful with ordering, my order was ready in 10 minutes as promised. I also got an upsize Fries due to buns not available. The young manager was also very courteous. Thanks guyssssss. Keep up the great work !!! So different than the service the night before 13 Oct 2023 around 9.45pm. Took 30mins Drive through, no Boneless crispy chicken so ordered 2pc quarter pack, got 2 small pieces (instead of 1 big & 1 small), no serviettes...not happy on Friday night...

During our last visit the tables, chairs, and floors were not very tidy. There were crumbs of food on the tables and seating. The floor was also wet from a spilt beverage which was not immediately cleaned up so the floor was slippery and grimmey looking (maybe the staff rostered were not enough and they were certainly busy). This place has excellent service, & makes good k-fry though so maybe next time we will stick to just picking up our order instead of dining in.

worse experience of my life placing an order with KFC Oteha Valley Rd 6 times I repeated my order and still she stuffed it up were the manager had to take over, and the order still wrong and I was made to feel like it was my fault, maybe if they stopped trying to up sell and listen to the bloody orders they might get it right worse incompetence of staff ever and then i paid for items I didn't get. Absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who really wants KFC try Browns Bay or Silverdale or Takapuna at least you get what you order.

Ordered a KFC Krusher here. I came in at the Happy Hour which meant that there was $2 Krusher’s. <br/><br/>The waiter at the till told me that the $2 Krusher is the small one and that there was the Regular and Large ones also. I opted for the Regular one while my friend opted for the $2 one. <br/><br/>However, when I got the order with my friend she gave us 2 Krusher’s that were identical in size. I told her if this was the small Krusher since I ordered the regular one. <br/><br/>She told me that this was the regular one and that she said to me that I didn’t want the $2 Krusher and wanted to pay more for it. <br/><br/>I paid more cause I was expecting a bigger size but I got the same size as my friend who order the $2 one. <br/><br/><br/>This is very misleading. I wish I could give 0 stars. <br/><br/>Waste of time here.

Forgot to make half my order, not the best kfc thats for sure.

I ordered 2 colonel's lunch. One gave me 3 wings and another one gave me 1 chicken. Fuck! Never go there again

Don’t ever order the kfc delivery ! 1 hour later and we still waiting for food ! <br/>Phoned and the manager is not helpful and they first say the order is in its way then I get told the driver has not arrived an hour later ? <br/><br/>Don’t waste your time !

Never have specific menu items, don't go out for a $2 Krusher or a Zinger Burger, chances are they're out of ingredients or cups. Facilities aren't that great either.

Who doesn’t like KFC right? We really like their Nashville chicken edition, hope they bring it back someday. This branch is standard. Fast service but staff seems to can’t be bothered.

Worst taste experience in KFC<br/>I bought 4 pieces of original recipe,chips, supposed to have those it on beach,<br/>Chips is fine,<br/>But I could smell some burned smell and strange flavour from the chicken,like some smoking,<br/>I felt through up,<br/>Then we went back to there for returning,<br/>They gave us new one straight away, 3 pieces was fine ,but last piece was also like same as like burned smell,<br/>They gave us another new piece again, but new one also smells same,<br/>And they gave another one again also bit same smell, i feel lazy to open again,<br/>I m surprised that why they even try to smell it , and why they don’t know the difference of their food they cook every day,<br/>It’s absolutely burned or some plastic was into deep fryer,<br/>I m a chef ,i would check taste by myself if I something happen like this time,<br/>They aren’t professional,what a embarrassing,<br/>I feel sorry for Colonel Sanders<br/>

Chicken is fresh and tasty on certain days, but on other days it's soggy and salty. It goes up and down, so it depends on the luck of the day as to whether the chicken will be good or bad. Servers often get the order mixed up, but I have always been so lazy to drive back and correct the order.

We had our stop over to eat something last night and we are really upset with the sizes of the chicken. Please see the attached photos. What happen kfc?

it was a lovely morning on the 24th of August. I woke up late from a wild night at fergs and I was craving some KFC for breakfast. I called up my mates and told them to get in the mighty tezz. Considering this has always been my go to kfc, extremely disappointed, never in my life have I had such dry AF chicken it wasn’t eatable and the chips were brown and soggy even the dog didn’t eat them. Out of the 10pce of chicken we got only 2 of the drum sticks were the most eatable but it was still dry

Disappointed with the food. Would give 1 star, but my first visit was quite okay so leaving 2 stars instead. The second time I went, the chicken was refried. The coating was much darker than usual and hard, not crispy. Bought one whole bucket for the family, and much of it was uneaten.

Worst KFC in the world！ I waited for at least 30 mins for my fast food. Everything is TOO SALTY !we can’t eat the chips because they were too salty,the chicken pieces were very dry and over cooked and too salty. I won’t come here again!

I just noticed that they deleted my review because I was complaining about how they forgot a whole burger from my order, and it wasn’t the first time they forgot items in my orders. KFC’s going all big brother on us. Screw this KFC, don’t come to Albany. Go to the Windsor Park one - staff are much more competent and I’ve never had a wrong order or missing items in the decade I’ve gone to their store. Only about 2-3 years with the Albany branch and have already encountered a handful of missing items. Useless.

Worst KFC experience ever! The wicked wings were obviously refried/reheated! Dry and tiny shrunken tasteless pieces of salmonella waiting to happen!!!! Gravy was old and lumpy! Ridiculous! Very disappointed!

Seriously!!!??? Are KFC using baby chickens now. We paid full price for separate pieces of chicken. Two of the four pieces were this size. Also our chips were cold...no seasoning....and they gave us potato and gravy instead of gravy.

I wanted to rate zero. I have been there over 10 times in the last 3 months. Each time I only order 12 or 20 wicked wings as its the only thing I like from KFC. Unfortuntely every single time I got was all drumsticks no wings at all (I found only one wing once). Excuse me? If drumsticks the only type you offer then change your menu to wicked drumsticks!!!

Foods always amazing staff is always friendly and restaurant is clean this is my local and have never had a problem with it chicken is alway nice and tasty

Went through the drive thru last night great service and we got our food fast but I felt sick after eating it and was up all night vomiting! Safe to say I will never be having KFC again

This is without a doubt the worst kfc I’ve been to chicken is always dry and service is bad seems like staff need more training they get the order wrong way to often and appear unapologetic. The owner/manager of this store needs to make some serious changes because it’s getting a bad reputation.

If you like waiting for 35 minutes in the drive-thru outside of a rush hour time, then this KFC is for you! Me and 2 other cars reversed out of the drive-thru as the wait time was ridiculous. 18 minutes of that time was waiting at the order screen, waiting for my order to be taken.

We enjoy KFC every now and then and this is our closest store. Food ok, (today they have run out of patties for the snack lunch special.... but oh well had to change the order). What I don't like is how filthy this store has become. It's on the decline and we may start going elsewhere. The tables are a sticky mess.... the floors too. Litter in the gardens and pathway leading in. Come on KFC Albany, lift your game. You may be a fast food chain but you have a reputation to uphold.

Been here multiple times over since 2015. There's a few things that hasn't changed and they are <br/><br/>1 - long wait times, expect at least 20 minute wait for "fast food"<br/>2 - dirty environment — everything in the store is greasy, down to the tables and the chairs to the drink dispenser, it just gross me out. <br/>3 - food quality, the chicken is often over cooked and dried out. <br/>4 - staff competence, the staffs are rude, messes up orders way too often. I once ordered 3 piece chicken and they only gave me two. It's elementary to have counting abilities while working in a restaurant no?<br/><br/><br/>My conclusion:<br/>Don't come here. It's a waste of a restaurant because the location is just perfect, parking is fantastic. Shame and wasted potential. Tsk.

Food ordered:<br/>Wicked Meal<br/>Bacon Lover's Stack Burger<br/>Bread Rolls x6<br/><br/>Bill: $50.40<br/><br/>We'd basically already made the decision to start giving our business to Texas Chicken instead, but with the new items on the menu (BBQ & Cola Wicked Wings and Bacon Lover's Stack, I'm looking at you) we figured we'd give KFC one last shot to redeem itself. Saying it was a "bad mistake" would be an understatement - if this was KFC's chance at scoring the game-winning try, they basically fumbled the ball, tripped and face-planted. <br/>Firstly, there was no point in us going there really, as our main motive was to try the new items on the menu, which we were unable to do. For whatever reason, you cannot order the BBQ Cola Wicked Wings with any packs/deals... including the Wicked Meal, which is basically their main Wicked Wings pack. I assumed this must come down to a price difference, but upon checking the menu there is only a 10c difference between your generic wings and the new ones. When we asked if we could simply pay the difference (let me repeat... a 10 cent price gap), we were advised "Nope".<br/>We were able to try the new Bacon Lover's Stack burger, but it was almost inedible. It's basically a KFC Double-Down in a burger bun. The normal DD is greasy enough - throw in a bread bun that has soaked up all the grease and you have one unpleasant burger to eat. Considering that it's $12.50 just for the burger, you can't help but think of other places who offer gourmet burgers for less. <br/>The actual chicken pieces were typical of what KFC is renown for - tiny pieces that are full of flavour and even more grease. Yes, KFC's chicken is arguably more flavoursome than its competitors, but personally I'd rather larger pieces of healthier looking chicken any day, than the dodgy pieces KFC offer up.  <br/>Considering KFC also cost us $50+, when a similar meal at TC would cost us less than $40, I can't see us going back to KFC any time soon.
