Finally McDonald made the right coffee for us. Not bitter not too sweet. Not burn milk and not cold. After a long time drinking coffee. We found a right barista for this large mocha. Made into perfection. Thank you for this coffee. You made our day. Will definitely come back for my mocha. Super clean store too despite of very busy time. Well organised and staffs are friendly. I’ve got my order correct. No frame at all. Cheesy pleaser with Mayo and steam buns. Easily transacted with a young fella. Best of luck guys. Thank you.

We had a great time at McDonalds Albany. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly. There is a large number of self service kiosks to order from. You can see that the staff really take pride in their work, it makes for a great experience.

I love it when I order a cheeseburger here and I order extra for every thing and they sauce it out to the max and if I ask for two extra gherkins I get like 15 I love that. Keep it up🤌

Great and friendly service at the self ordering machine. Staff were well-trained and able to give clear answers. Customised order for the classic Happy meal hamburger and was delivered exactly the way he liked. The tables were clean and service stations were well stocked. The only down side was the wall mounted TV was showing music videos which were not young children appropriate.

Every time I’ve come here they never give sauce with nuggets even when specifically asked for it. They have changed their raspberry soda to a much more watered down option. Staff interrupt you when placing order. Not happy

Every now and then I treat myself to a strawberry (THICK) shake, which is usually yum elsewhere. The one I got today was anything but yum. Obviously made in a rush, it was runny and the syrup hadn’t been mixed through properly. I get that McD’s is often busy, but how hard is it to make a strawberry thick shake? I considered taking it back, but the queues were horrendous, so I simply tossed it.

Rushing out the door in the morning we decided to swing past "maccas" to grab some breakfast and some coffees. We ordered right away as we got in and soon after recieved our food. In a rush we decided to start eatting out food while we waited for our coffees. After we had completely finished our meal we still had not heard our number called for our coffees. We decided to go see what was taking so long after about 15 minutes of after we ordered. They told us that our number had already been called and picked up and asked us for a reciept which we had unfortunately already thrown away as we had finished our food 5 minutes prior. He was understanding and agreed that he would make us our coffees again. I ordered mine with soy originally but when it was remade it no longer had soy. We think someone must have grabbed our coffees before they had a chance to call out our number or something. Not sure. Was thankful that the man working remade our coffees for us. Kindness goes a long way.

This is a wonderful place in general except for a few critical areas. Dining in is quite a wholesome experience with the smart ordering system and mac cafe. Moms would understand when I say saturday morning goes by fast after ordering from the big touch screen and some happy meals. My little ones are engaged, which means some downtime for me. <br/><br/>The place has been renovated not to far back and everything is still clean. I avoid going the some other macdonalds because of the sticky tables and all, but this place is not that. So, as a mom hoping to figure out a quick brunch/breakfast for the kids.<br/><br/>But as just me, it is not so good. The point of drive throughs are to pick up meals/drinks/snacks up fast. you order, and pick up from your car after a short time frame. But for two times now, I had to park and wait for my snacks and coffee. Even the snacks and coffee came separately. It took time, and just too much hassle for a simple drive through. I wish the person taking orders is a tad bit more amicable. I feel like an unwelcome guest every time I order through a person (I guess ordering from the smart system is an alternative). <br/><br/>My advice is enjoy the nice facilities and the happy meals. Don't use the drive-throughs.

Gotta be honest, this is pretty much like every other Maccas I've ever been to. Unfortunately though, it used to be open a lot later (Zomato says 24 hours, but in fact they close at 11pm). They still do have drive thru available but it does take a bit longer than usual because they tend to have a lot less staff than usual.<br/>It did take them a good 10-15 minutes for an order of chicken nuggets but they were pretty courteous and apologised anyway.<br/>Food: 3/5<br/>Service: 3/5

McDonald's Albany... Well where do i start. I have been here more than 5 times. I was refused service once because they were closed, but they closed 15minutes early. Their soft serve machine never works..<br/><br/>I got the mcrib today. It was dry, and not saucy.<br/><br/>I didn't give them a 1 star because there are the occasional youngsters who work there and are polite.

Absolutely revolting customer service around 10PM. Would recommend avoiding this place around that time. Should educate the Manager on duty who did not apologise after arguing I ordered a medium when I had paid for a large. She then aggressively threw my paper bag in the bin to intentionally offend me. I treated with respect but received the opposite. I now have no respect left for her. How can someone like this even be a leader? AVOID this branch at night.

Took 25 mins to get a salad at 10pm. Manager refunded my money but when I got to the car the chicken was cold and the wrong type I ordered something completely different. Have used drive through twice in past two months have always been very long wait times

The option to use the interactive screen to order is always preferable. I have seen it in just two stores (there may be more) at Britomart and here.<br/>It is fairly clean, the service is okay and the food is okay too. Nothing really stood out nor do I have anything to complain about.

One of the better McDonald's in Auckland. However as with all fastfood outlets there are always the dysfunction, the rush hour rage and less-than-professional service. Not one to take your heartthrob to, but overall I would recommend this McDonald's.

Reading others reviews it seems like this has been happening for awhile. Came to dine-in at about 9pm in a Tuesday and the door was locked, there were people inside trying to get out. The manager ended up coming to the door and said that the were closed and was telling everyone to get out.

Totally recommend this branch if you like throwing money away for no food! As an added bonus they take excessive minutes from your life because the teenaged staff just can’t be arsed. That part is free!<br/><br/>Don’t bother with this branch. Personally, I’ve always had terrific service and quality with the Constellation branch. Made the mistake for the second time of going to this Albany branch. Idiot. Should’ve known better, because out of the two times that I’ve been to this branch, I’ve had missing food items from both orders. The first time was a while ago so I don’t remember and didn’t bother leaving a review because as annoying as it was, (especially because the staff were rude, lazy and immature) once is probably a mistake. But twice makes you wonder if this is a trait. It wasn’t even busy - I ordered using their self order machines and by the time I’d finished, I was pretty much the only person they were serving at the counter, 8:30pm on a Thursday night. The drive thru wasn’t busy either. Yet they completely forgot our fries. Which was the whole point of ordering a combo, since we already had drinks at home. So twice now, they’ve taken our money and not given us what we’ve paid for.<br/><br/>A few weeks ago, I found myself at the Manukau McD’s on a super busy Sat night. The place was lined up with people and the drive thru was lagging back to the car park. The orders naturally came out slow, but understandable considering the volume. Yet they got the orders exactly right and the food was hot and fresh. The customers looked bored waiting but happy with their orders once they got them. So I’m failing to understand how a massive team running around like headless chickens in a small kitchen was able to send off happy customers while a big and dead branch with lots of staff but minimal customers was unable to fulfill some basic orders. It’s a shame they won’t let us upload videos to Zomato. The moment of disappointed silence as we take out each item from the bag and see that there are no fries is kind of funny and endearing in a sad way.<br/><br/>And on your only solution other than making the whole trip back for the fries is to leave feedback in their pathetic comments app. They gave us a free voucher for small fries though. We just can’t wait to use it next time only to find that we didn’t not actually get it in the bag 😃

I've come as early as 3am when they don't have enough people to keep the service going (they literally said they don't have enough staff on to open... rostering issues?) and often have a no service period from 4:30am to 5am (some kinda changeover?) which is not ideal for a place that advertises as being 24/7. I finish work at 4am and often need to go to the constellation McDonald's instead. Can't complain about the food, it's another McDonald's, nothing special.

One of 2 worst McDonald’s branch i’ve been too. I went there and stayed on and off from 0900 to 1500 hrs., and during that time, the hardened feces on the soap dispenser that i have reported to the crew from 0900 hrs., remained in the female toilet until i left. The restaurant was not even busy the whole time i was there between those hours going in and out from one appointment to the next. Unlike McDonald’s along akoranga drive, their place is spotless and the crew are fast and efficient, and very friendly! Another worst McDonald’s branch is along glenfield road opposite glenfield mall. The place is a mess, no toilet papers, and the crew seems in a bad mood, banging furnitures while working!!! Horrible place!!!

Abysmal service. Poor customer service. Limited knowledge.<br/><br/>I was using one of the self-service kiosks to log my order and strangely I noticed that the menu was different on the machine I was using to the one my girlfriend was using. For example, there was no $6 Double Cheeseburger combo on my machine whilst my girlfriend could find it on her machine.<br/><br/>Second, the medium menu has “FREE upgrade to large” label on it, or something along that line, but when I chose the large size, it still gave me the large price. When I clicked on medium, it didn’t give me option to upsize for free, too. Which, of Course, made me baffled.<br/><br/>Then the lady who was cleaning the floor near us asked me if I needed any help. I explained the free medium-to-large upsize issue, but she thought I didn’t understand what the word ‘upsize’ meant or the difference between ‘medium’ and ‘large’. However, with all due respect, I believe she was mentally challenged so I couldn’t blame her for not being able to help me. I appreciated that she was offering me a help.<br/><br/>Then I spoke to one of the ladies in the counter about it. She said she couldn’t help me cos she didn’t know how to operate those machines. So she called the manager, and I showed the manager what was on the machine’s display. At first she wasn’t even sure about it, and she said to me “maybe it hasn’t started yet” before saying to me that it’s actually an upgrade for the Monopoly ticket thingy. Didn’t make much sense but whatever. Didn’t want to argue too much.<br/><br/>And so I ordered my meal from the machine, but the machine’s keypad didn’t work so I had to pay at the counter. Goodness me.<br/><br/>When the order finally came, I asked the lady for a tray since I was going to dine in. The lady said they were running out of trays. Pointing out a pile of unused trays right behind her, I said, “what’s that?”; she gave one to me, whispering a quiet “sorry”.<br/><br/>The whole experience that I had today was so disastrous that I had to spend times writing this review. Trust me, I’m not a needy & demanding person, but the whole thing happening at McD’s Albany today was extremely unprofessional and their staff & manager’s knowledge and customer skill were totally absent.<br/><br/>Stunning. Stunningly horrifying.

The food and service is good everytime I come here. However, it is a shame that the shake machine is not working majority of the time I choose to purchase from there. The staff are very friendly and up front about this and offer remedies and refunds. Their service is sometimes on the slower side, but I am never disappointed once I get my meal.

Went to the maccas in Albany this morning because I needed a caffeine fix and was in a bit of a rush, so decided to go to the drive thru instead of finding a cafe. Found it very efficient, the staff were friendly, nothing exceptional but still good. This is the first time i have had a coffee from McCafe and I am quite impressed. I've never been before because when I think of maccas I don't think of good quality and I like good quality coffee, but this coffee is almost just as good as any other coffee.

Just wanted some food on a Saturday evening on the way home popped through the drive thru to be met with no one at the voice box. I see that the worker keeps running back and forth from the payment booth and needs his hand held while doing payments as another worker had another customers card and joked that he should use the pay wave device to pay for other orders too. I find them highly unprofessional and quite rude. They then got the order wrong multiple times when we spoke clearly to them and then took 10 minutes to make a bloody cheese burger. One of the worst Mcdonald' s resturaunts I have ever been too. Not impressed at all. Unfortunately the is no negative 5 option.

A Tale Of Two Tummies
Food ordered: <br/>1x small fries<br/><br/>Bill: $19.10<br/><br/>To be fair, I usually avoid this McDs as I've had nothing but below-average experiences with them - whether it's been half-filled drinks, frozen drinks full of pockets of air or cold chips. This time definitely took the proverbial cake though. I made the mistake of going through their drive-thru on a Friday afternoon, simply wanting to order a small fries. At the first window the girl asked if I wanted to use pay-wave and oh-so-innocently I agreed. I drove up to the second window and instead of being met with a small bag filled with golden fries, I got a handful of cash and small change thrust at me. Thinking they must have me mistaken, I told them that the money wouldn't be mine, as I'd just ordered a fries using my card. Nope - the girl had somehow overcharged the crap out of my card and they were giving me the difference back in small change. Of course, using pay-wave just before the weekend, I couldn't even see exactly how much I had been charged until the following Monday. Safe to say those were the most expensive fries I've ever ordered.

By far the worst McDonalds I've been to.  Today the staff in the drive through were surly and dismissive.  I don't expect much, but a hello and thank you would be nice.  To add to the insult, the chips were soggy and the drink was some unidentifiable liquid, but not the Sprite I ordered.

have been here multiple times for both drive through and dine in. The staff act like they do not want to be there and they always get the order wrong or the food is cold! when we came in for dine in they took 30 mins just to get our food done when its suppose to be fast food.... i honestly would rather drive to constellation and get better service and my order on time, hot and the correct food i paid for! i have emailed multiple times and never heard back and even rang and left messages when i got home and realized half my order was missing!

I would give 0 if I could! Super rude drive through!! Miss Grumpy at the payment window immediately asked me to park for my frugal order of a single cup of long black, as they always do here. Don't bother going there unless you want rubbish service and a rude awakening to your morning. It isn't too hard treating customers with decency and common courtesy.

McDonald's are very Environmentally Friendly, by Serving my Meal on a used tray they can reduce waste i also get to eat the left over pie from the meal before! shakes are fun as i got to mix it myself. overall i had an experience.

Love the create your own taste option! I don't normally like Maccas but with this option I can have a relatively healthy burger - no bun etc and choose all my favourite ingredients. It's a bit on the pricey side however, and takes a lot longer to be made.

Went here tonight in order to try the make your own burgers only to find out you can't make chicken burgers. It sucked, but hey, nothing they can do about it. Instead, we decided to just order from the counter. After being ignored for a little while, whilst four or so staff stood around doing nothing, we were finally served.<br/><br/>Relieved to be done with dealing with the rude chick behind the counter we waited for our food, keen to dig in to some deliciousness. However, when we got our order we found out our order had not be taken correctly. Maybe if the chick on counter had being paying attention, rather than hurrying to get back to the conversation her coworkers were having, this would not have been a problem.<br/><br/>The food itself was at its usual McDonalds standard, so what we had expected. The service, however, was not up to scratch.

My son and a friend went to try MacDonalds 'Make you Own Burger' with Angus beef patties and caramelised onion and toppings of choice.  He was very impressed with the quality brioche buns used, toppings available, service and price.  The person who was dedicated to this area of the restaurant, also brought out special packaged towelettes to wipe your hands after, and asked how they enjoyed their burgers etc. This sounds like a much better option for MacDonalds Customers, and something I'm looking forward to trying myself.  Also currently enjoying their Coffee and Muffin combo options via drive through and in store.  $4 -$ 6  (small to large)  Barista coffee and Muffin combos.

VERY unimpressed with the Albany McDonalds on Don McKinnon drive in Albany, I ordered a burger and asked for no onion/pickles, only to find when I got home that there was indeed onion/pickle inside the burger - while it is easy enough for me to pick them out, if I had been a person with an allergy, I would have ended up in hospital.<br/><br/>To add insult to injury, when I phoned the restaurant, the night staff simply picked up the phone and hung up without even responding and did this repeatedly when I tried calling again.<br/><br/>I have made a complaint to the head office, but I would suggest that people avoid this particular branch if they are going to treat their customers in this manner.

Drivethru has terrible service. They don't respond at the speaker things. They cannot bother using the frozen coke machine, especially when there are specials going. It seems to be broken or being cleaned all the time. Management must pay the staff extra to not give serviettes as I constantly have to ask for them.
