Review Lushingtons Cafe - Ashburton

Loved this beautiful cafe 😍 they had a new employee training here this weekend and she was doing an outstanding job! 👍 Everyone was very friendly and the food was delicious, and portions were generous ☺ Great garden centre too for a browse after breakfast, would highly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a fun place for food, giftshopping or gardening 😍

Stopped by for breakfast and was very impressed by the restaurant setup. The eggs benedict was one of the best we've had. Coffee was nice too.

If you are wanting wedges definitely come here! They make the best wedges with cheese bacon,spring onion,sour cream and sweet chili sauce! Their toasties are very delicious too! Dont get my started on how tasty their iced chocolates are 🤤 Good prices!

We stopped there to grab a quick bite and coffee to take away in the middle of a road trip. The cheese puff was amazing. Best I've ever had, light and fluffy. I'll definitely stop there next time I drive past.

Absolutely recommend lushingtons, wonderful knowledgeable staff. Perfectly made hot coffee and the best steak sandwich and fries in the south island. Six star If I could!!

Good little stop on the outside of Ashburton. Nice garden centre with a good Cafe and plenty of food options. Can be busy but staff friendly.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way south. Smashed avocado was outstanding, as were the pancakes and eggs benedict.

The service was so friendly and eager to serve and the food was amazing ,i had the lamb salad ,every mouthful was sumptuous 😜✌💛

Took my Mum for a lunch for her birthday with my kids. A lovely setting and some good food although I had the steak sandwich, requested to be cooked medium and was well done. My Mum had the Devonshire tea & hers came to the table 20 mins before the remaining meals. We wanted to order cheesecake as a birthday treat & waited for service that never came. I gave up & ordered a piece to takeaway instead when paying. Then proceeded to wait 15 minutes !!!! Disappointing

On our way home from Christchurch and full of the flu we called in for a hot chocolate...WOW it was the yummiest...just what we needed...we'll be back!!

I had heard this is a wonderful place. Unfortunately we went on Mother's Day and although cafe only half full the staff were not coping. People who arrived well after us were served a long time before us. Our cakes arrived without cream or yoghurt. Coffees were cold. It felt pointless to mention this at the time as when we asked for the cream for cakes it arrived after we were finished despite trying to wait for it. I would try again as this may have been exceptional but as I was passing through don't know when that would be.

Fabulous regular meeting place for weekly coffees and meals. Berry smoothie best ever!! Well done!

Stopped here for our morning cup of coffee driving from Timaru to Akaroa. Great coffee, and it's been hit and miss here in NZ, and delicious homemade muffins and slices. Lovely nursery and gift shop too.

Best wedges in town. Always a nice atmosphere. Lovely staff.

eggs were terrible, i had poached & my partner had fried, both over cooked. hate to say we wont be back in a hurry
