Sims Bakery - Ashburton - Photo album

Service was fantastic, food was only decent. Savoury pies had too much flour, while the sweet treats were a bit too sweet, perhaps just not to my liking. There were a lot of customers going in and out of the shop though. Oh and my mom loves their hot chocolate so that’s worth trying :)
Always a good place to go for yummy pies and sweet treats. Everyone loves the savories.
Fantastic pies. Lovely short crust pastry. Definitely recommend.
Nice stop before we drove to Christchurch. Really pleasantly surprised about all the choice of hearty, creamy, fruity pies... so hard to make a choice! Also some nice coffee and good that you can sit outside.
The chilli sausage rolls are amazing, great range of food and drinks. They make a great coffee as well.
yummy creamy donut and very friendly staff... nice place for stopby. A unisex toliet is located at the carpark next to the bakery.
Stop for a quick bite. There is a wide variety of baked goodies at an affordable price. Staff are kind...
Delicious food. Great staff
This bakery was amazing. It had come highly recommended, and they weren't wrong. Always good when you see all the truckies and workmen calling in. It was busy! Lovely staff as well. Worth a visit if you are in Ashburton.
Absolutely fantastic food plus service...
Nice pie and bacon and egg slice coffee great
One of my most favorite bakeries, the pies/ sausage rolls are clean to eat ( no pastry falling everywhere or filling falling out of the seals), plus they are full of filling! The breads you can buy stays fresh for days and is definitely worth the stop on your way past.
Nice lunch had here and a lovely boysenberry tart. Took home some frozen treats to have later and these are also great. Would definitely come back if in town.
Great pies and sandwiches! Our favourites is the Trucker's Pie and Pork Belly. Chilli Sausage Roll is a goodie too. Friendly ladies always delightful in the early morning.
Slightly out of town at the side of the road. Load of locals stopping to pick up goodies and a drink. The smell is just the best - freshly baked bread
We had the trucker’s pie, steak&mushroom pie and potato mash pie, all were very hearty, filling and delicious! The ladies behind the counter were lovely and always greeting us with a warm smile. Highly recommend as a stopover for a quick bite between Christchurch and Lake Tekapo. There’s seating out
Epic Bakery, a classic old school establishment. You've got a big choice of cakes, biscuits, and slices all the classics like Lolly Cake, Belgium Biscuits, Apple Shortcake, and Gluten free options. Then filled rolls and sandwiches lots of options there and pies. Plus fresh bread, and Buns that can
