We really enjoyed our meal at Docks Bar & Seafood Grill. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful and engaged well with us and our two little children. The server brought the children some activity packs to do while they were waiting for the meal. The fish was delicious and fresh and the chips were yummy. Our son had the children's meal, which he enjoyed and he even ate the fish and liked it. We definitely recommend Docks Bar & Seafood Grill, and hope to go there again in the future. Thank you!
The nicest seafood I have had in ages. The blue cod was melt in your mouth. The batter was translucent and so crispy. The prawns were so plump and moist and utterly delicious. Lovely friendly staff and a nice setting. Couldn't believe there weren't more people.
A must visit place in Ashburton.
Worth visiting the South Island for. Fresh seafood cooked to perfection. Batter wafer thin and pure crispiness without being at all oily. Great selection of different fish. Very knowledgeable owners. And a very good price!
The best fish & chips I have ever had in my entire life. Better than any in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Raglan, Tauranga, Coromandel, Manawatu, and Wellington (I eat a lot of fish and chips). The Gurnard melted in my mouth like butter with the most gorgeous flavour and an absolutely perfected batter, you could truly taste that it has come from fresh, cared for, quality ingredients. I will be driving here from Christchurch anytime I ever feel like fish and chips again. 10/10 Food, service and atmosphere!

Had a fantastic meal at Docks . I love seafood and what is served here is top notch . The cured fish salad is one of my favorites, along with Cervice.
My wife , while she enjoys seafood , chose this time try the Ribeye steak , a new addition to the menu . She said it was wonderful, beautifully cooked and for the price , pretty hard to beat !

The only place we've found in Ashburton to get a good craft beer (had Three Boys and Fermentist on tap). Plus if you're not into seafood, you can order some amazing italian pizza from next door but still sit in.
What a find!! Beautifully cooked blue cod. Sundae incredible. Fab staff. Lovely n clean. Absolutely must come here If u r in Ashburton. .....we will be back❤
