Review Revive Vegan Cafe - Auckland Central

Tim Stark
We would have eaten every meal here during our 4 day stay in Auckland if it had been open for dinner! After a long haul flight from the States, we were looking for healthy food to bring us back to life and Revive was the perfect spot. There were simply so many healthy choices as well as friendly staff members who helped guide us in our choices. While there is seating here, our first meal was a take away, but we returned the next day and dined there. Thanks for providing healthy food within the realm of fast food restaurants!

Staff was kindly greeting, I ordered medium hotpot w green bean salad and I loved it. All the foods were delicious and well nutritional. Always wanted to try vegan cafe and I finally made it here!

Would give 5 stars if there was an accessible entrance somewhere. I use a wheelchair and am thankfully ambulatory so I was able to get out and my partner brought my chair up the stairs for me but others aren't able to do the same. Food was flavourful and filling and didn't leave me feeling slow and lethargic like most places. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and staff were very friendly. I'll definitely check back next time I'm in Auckland and I hope one day there will be an easier way to get in. In the meantime I'll be recommending this place to all of my abled friends since I think it's perfect otherwise!

A gem in Auckland Central. I came on a Friday and tried a delicious Pumpkin and Poppy seeds Dahl. Ayano and Mathias were my hosts and provided great customer service. This place combine good quality, a nice environment and additionally, a varied and tasty food offer. It worths a visit if you are in the city!

Good variety of quickly served vegan dishes. A bit tight inside but friendly staff and lively atmosphere

Pretty good vegan food that just needs a tad bit of balancing. Food: while we totally understand that Revive is very much the cafeteria style of food service, there are some minor improvements that could be made to take this place to the five star level for us. A great example would be a savory pie special (sort of a shepherds pie). The flavors were fantastic and the TVP was generous. However, the TVP absorbed all the moisture and the dish was incredibly dry. A gravy or sauce was much needed to balance the dish's textures in the mouth. Similarly, many of the salads seem to have very similar flavor profiles. As such, if you pick the wrong salads, you may feel like you're eating the same thing over and over. Regardless, it was all good and we would go back for lunch anytime. Service: kind and quick for cafeteria serving. No complaints! Atmosphere: a little basic, but clean and modern!

I love going here for the vibrant, healthy vegan food but the food often repeats on me, not sure if it's a particular herb or spice. That being said I love their nut butters and pantry supplies. And I tried a hazelnut cacao smoothie that sent me to heaven 3 times! Every week the menu changes, so you'll never get bored of what's on offer. A downside is you have to access the cafe via stairs. If you have a pram it is a bit of a pain, if you have a wheelchair you're out of luck - but there is another accessible cafe in the city, you just won't be able to sit in to eat. I'm actually visiting here from the UK and I have to say the cost of food is pretty good for a city centre based cafe. People say NZ is expensive and I can see that in other places around the city/country but this cafe has reasonable prices. Everyone should come here for their excellently prices nut butters. Compared to the supermarkets like countdown they are super cheap!

Found Revive Café online store when looking for a specific item, found it on the website and at a great price. I then scrolled through the other items they provide and I am impressed, so I made a purchase. Turn around from order to delivery was super quick and everything came well packaged and recyclable. I would highly recommend Revive Café online store. I hope to get in to the actual café as the menu looks amazing.

My healthy eating/living journey started with Revive on Lorne St back in the university - I even bought two of their cook books😄. This is your vegetarian food heaven - their meals change daily and salads weekly! 🌽🥕🍅🍆🥦🍠🥒🥔 Had their Millet Salad today - millet have uniquely high content of nutrients, try it! 👍

Got it as a present from my partner's work 🥰 Love the compostable packaging, portion size and variety. The mocka slice is the most delicious chocolatey slice I've tried! I wanted to eat the whole box at once! Not sugary, full of goodness and a nice pinch of salt. It definitely lifted my spirit. We tried their lasagna as well and my little toddler ate the whole thing! Made our family so happy and we'll definitely be ordering again❣️ great option as a care package for friends or family members who are sick or need a bit of emotionally support.

Delicious vegan food. Full of flavor and very filling. Definitely would go back.

I love the food here. The menu changes weekly and one can never get bored. They have huge variety ! It’s great place for a quick and healthy lunch and the flavours are unique. Another great things about this place are the revive cook books. They offer a huge variety and are definitely a must for anyone who is passionate about cooking. Most recipies are simple and practical. They could however look at the portion size. It’s starting to shrink.

Absolutely delicious, nutritional food. So glad I found this place on my first day here in Auckland as will certainly be visiting again before I leave!

I ordered the Museli lovers box on line on the 20th July and received it on the 21st July, extremely good delivery service as I live in Marlborough on the south island. Just had the pecan, almond & cranberry crunch and it was delicious, fresh and crunchy. My fiancée also tried and loved it. Looking forward to trying the other 3 types of cereal. First time purchasing and eating from Revive and I am looking forward to ordering and trying more .

Lovely food, although I order the frozen meals and I would rather pay for shipping than rely on NZ couriers who are absolutely unreliable with their delivery. Last time it took 4 days from CBD Auckland to West Auckland. Perhaps time to check out other courier companies

My goodness the food here was so good .Unfortunately I discovered Revive just a few hours before I was about to leave the country or I would’ve come here more often .Tastes amazing .The coconut curry with cauliflower rice was fantastic .Salads were filling .

Awesome concept - delicious, healthy and flavoursome meals at a very reasonable price. Perfect place to pick up dinner after work. Also obsessed with their frooze balls!

Went here for quick lunch meet up with friends, they have pumpkin risotto cake with mushroom sauce for special of the day, which is so yummy. Also ordered lime smoothie which is very refreshing. Never know that vegan food can be this yummy. Love it

Very fresh and price is reasonable

Rating 4. Super popular lunch spot. Surprisingly lots of choices for a Vegan cafe. Most of the salads looks good. I got a small with my a Dorf salad & an Asian quinoa miso salad, topped with beetroot hummus. All of it tasted great, and was filling enough for me for lunch. So don’t be put off by the Vegan label and go try it.

Always fresh, delicious, and so many options. Great value for money.

I thought this place would be expensive seeing as it is healthy food but it's not and both the quality and portion is great. Very impressed with the price of the salad box, I got the regular size which allows you to choose 3 salads and it lasted me both lunch and dinner. I think the small size would be perfect for me for lunch at only $9. Their website is handy as it lists the weekly salad options. I've tried their pumpkin/tofu salad and it is amazing, and love how creamy the potato salad is. Their hot box option also looks like a bargain. Service is fast but friendly. Tidy interiors for those wanting to eat there, otherwise it is very takeaway friendly.

Love Revive salad. They change menu weekly and I always go check their website to see the updated menu. Love most of their salads. If you want something healthy, revive is the must go place.
Crackerjacker
Out of the two revives this is the best although I already thought the other one was great. It's got really healthy food, and I think it is quite cheap for the amount of food you get. I didn't sit and eat today but got it take away but the environment looks like one I'd like to sit for a bit a catch up on my emails. I got the Mexican burrito with a salad. They were very very nice it was only until after did I realise they were vegan. Filled me up and would definitely have it again. Revive, Wyndam, I will be back

Honestly a 5 out of 5 does not justice. Revive Café's meals are not only delicious, but good for the soul. My partner who is not vegan is keen to head back - think that speaks for itself. I was also really impressed by how environmentally-friendly the store was. Highly recommend!!!

Revive is a great place for a healthy affordable lunch. Their selections change every week so it also never gets boring. It's particularly good value to get a grabone voucher which sometimes halves the price.

I had a regular box, which allowed for a hot meal and a salad. I chose a spinach and mushroom filo pie with a ribbon noodle salad that had scrambled tofu, peanuts, peppers and carrots with a Thai chilli and lime dressing. The pie was a large chunk with crispy filo pastry edges and it was still warm. The spinach and mushroom was a great combination accented with feta cheese. It was kind of quichey, but I really liked it.

The noodle salad was also standout and I'm hoping it'll be back next week so I can get it again. It wasn't spicy at all, just tangy with occasional chilli bits. The noodle texture was smooth and flat and the scrambled tofu and other ingredients gave the dish a deep flavour. It was a surprising amount of food and more than enough for a heavy lunch.

They also offer complimentary hummus, which this week was roasted red pepper. It was very smooth and went well with the noodle salad, but I felt it was a little tasteless in comparison to the salad. The hummus would work far better with rice or more leafy salads.

Overall, this was delicious and healthy food that came in a generous portion too.

Eating at Revive never gets boring! Each day they have new hot and cold options. Today I tried the new jackfruit red curry and it was delicious! Plenty of food for a filling lunch. Make sure you sign up for their emails to get the VIP discount card!

Great place to stop by when you are in the city. Warm, delicious, home cooked healthy food. Great vegetarian and vegan dishes. Lots of drink options as well.

How did I not know about this place?

Clean - relaxed atmosphere -
Temperature perfect ✅

Food $14.50 for a large serving

In which I chose Moroccan Tagine & Red Beans with Brown Rice which was full of flavour /
Perfectly seasoned

The x2 salads I got

Balsamic Lentils w Beetroot & Peppers
although not bad it was my least fave with a more than tart finish / aftertaste

Succotash w Chickpeas = beautiful ✅
Wonderful flavours which complimented each other in every way - I was afraid of finishing it
So quickly as I was craving more.

Hummus - slightly under seasoned but very good

Also had a almond & raw cacao hot drink
Which was amazing !

Can't wait to come back, may even see me tomorrow !
Quality, wholesome meals every single time! Black bean hot pot with some beetroot hummus and Asian slaw. Friendly helpful staff and cool music!

I am normally a meat lover, so this was an adventurous attempt for me.
I got a regular box for $12, ordered 3 salads, ceasar, mushroom risotto and quinoa. They are so flavourful that i have forgotten they didn’t have any meat in them! Would definitely come back to try other hot meals. Wyndham St store was quiet and spacious, great place to go for a quiet lunch.
Jasmine
It is a nice little place with salads and other healthy foods. Great options for vegetarians also. The prices are very fair too, and it is a cozy little cafe. Fast, easy and healthy. Would absolutely recommend it.
Jamez Hill III
Came here for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. I am not usually a fan of vegetarian, however the salads were incredible. I ordered the vege chilli, which was flavoursome though I do personally prefer meat in mine. For those that want clean eating, with great flavours and colour this is the place to go. I even got a hold of his latest cookbook which is a must if you want to impress your family this coming christmas and new years.
Shaurya Shrishrimal
Best salads in town 🙋🏻‍♂️ come here for the best veg options which are pretty less if you look at it. The hospitality is just great and they have great music

Vege eaters delight. Good choice of salads and soups. No excuse to eat unhealthy now. Very good value as well and service with a smile. What more could you ask for.

The best healthy lunch you can find in the CBD- always a great selection of food at sun $15- this is my go to if I am ever buying lunch but don't want to fall asleep at my desk
Hope
I eat here way too much I think I'll have to invest in the cook books asap #savemesometupe
I enjoy it all but the chickpea, rice salads and anything with peanuts are my favouritest I wish they had the beetroot hummus everyday and I eat to many of them oat cookies mmmmm
Ffionachua
Pretty nice for a meatless cafe! For all you meat lovers out there, I'd say don't judge this book by its cover.

I don't usually like vegetables but revive makes non meat dishes just as tasty with lots of sauces, cream and curries.

I also like how they change the menu every week, giving people that are not big fans of vegetables variety and a reason to keep going back there.

There's also a great selection of food types: eg salad, lasagnas, fill pastries, soups, curries. So it's not all the same.

Latha Karthigaa
Very tasty healthy food. Lot of options.. always something new. Love it! There are healthy soups, hot drink, almonds and milk. So yummy....., we like to come everyday and will recommend to others.

I have only been to their Lorne Street one and I must say that this one is a lot more spacious! But the food remains delicious and oh so filling! Had their curry+rice and salad and it was the perfect choice for this cold winter day. Will be back to try out other dishes!
Zeyn Shah
A very refreshing meal to pick you up for the rest of the working day. Excellent service with very welcoming staff. What else can you ask for!
Vita
Great atmosphere and wonderful range of wholesome food that doesn't burn a hole in your pocket. I particularly like your 'Not Butter Chicken' as it omits the heavy cream in the original recipe and still tastes great.

Food is good, vegan and vegetarian friendly, and very healthy :) tad expensive, but worth it :)

Service is good.

The cafe has a Nice vibe about it.
Emmi Kähkönen
Food is so delicious, fresh & healthy and price for it is not bad at all! Many options available so something for every vegetarian people + friendly staff👍🏽 Defenitely recommend!
Carron Chessum
This is a great little cafe in the heart of the city. Lovely clean facility. Sit in dining or takeaway options. Vegetarian menu with a large range of both hot and cold options. Everything I have tried here has been delicious and I am not a vegetarian. I even own two of their cookbooks now!
Hannah Richardson
Food was not that good at all. Just tasted like dry vegetables chucked into the plastic box. I'm pretty sure they are paying people to add reviews here. Please do not mislead customers.
Gabriella Balaskó
Revive Cafe is the best vegetarian in downtown, fast service, good food, lovely staff. My favourite is the warming hot pots, especially on a cold winter day!
Melinda Copestake
Healthiest place in town for lunch. Lovely customer service and filling, nutritious meals. Wide variety of salads, and a must-try breakfast! Highly recommend!
This is a nice place to have lunch alone or with some friends..calm place away from the hustle bustle of the city.
I have been to the Wyndham st branch twice and really like there options.
They have small box, normal and large box options which perfectly fit for anyone with different appetite. I had a heavy breakfast so decided to go for a small salad box option. I tool Italian couscous with olives and beetroot carrot salad. The first one was good not so great for me as I don't like the taste of Olives( I didnt notice that the salad includes Olives while choosing). The beetroot carrots salad was awesome. The combination was just perfect with raisins and sunflower seeds. They do top up the salads with either green pea hummus or normal hummus.
My partner took Kale and roasted tofu salad which was good too.
Last time I opted for a chickpea salad which was also good.

Revive is my ultimate fave healthy joints in Auckland. The staff here are so lovely and they always have a smile on their face.
The salads and hot foods are seriously so delicious. They use nothing but the best ingredients and their homemade hummus is amazing😍😍
Definitely recommend
LOVE PERTH/AUCKLAND FOOD
Delicious vegetarian! Friendly service. Great for a quick healthy take away. The hot options, curry, Dal etc are divine. Keen to try the breaky bowls

Great food and dining experience. Clean place. Good music. Friendly staff. I will definitely be back and recommend this cafe to all my friends.

I've been to Revive a few times for breakfast, giving me an opportunity to try most things on the breakfast menu. They have a good range of options available - a mix of hot and cold. The puddings and muesli are nice, as is the compot. I found the hot choices rather uninspiring: the 'world's best thai scrambled tofu' was anything but - it was dry and salty. Tuscan breakfast veggies were nice but slightly odd for breakfast - more like something you'd have leftover from last night's dinner. Roasties were soggy and insipid from sitting around too long. I'd love to try them Revive again for breakfast but I don't think I'll be rushing back for those options. With a little more creativity (egg-free shakshuka, chickpea pancakes, oatmeal waffles for example) this might be a more attractive breakfast option. They are currently running a 50% discount voucher promotion which is good because $12 for a regular box is a little optimistic. Plus, it would be nice if the morning staff could at least feign enthusiasm - nobody likes to see a long face early in the morning.

Always love going to revive for its filling, healthy and affordable meals. I love how the hearty soups are back in winter, and how the rotating menus every week provide variety so there's always something new. I especially love how Revive is in town, so convenient for a pop down from work at lunchtime! Also love how the menus are posted online for the week so I can pick out what to have before I go!
Oksana Zhang
Came here after seeing all the good reviews about this place, so decided to try it out myself.

The portion to price was preeeetty disappointing, so if you're after something filling, you can vouch for other places to eat.

Flavour wise was ok, nothing as amazing as the other reviews described though, it was just another salad.

Service lady seemed kind of done with the day as well, blank expression and drab.

Price: 5/10
Food: 6/10
Ambience: 7/10
Service: 5/10

I used to go the Revive Cafe on Lorne street all the time! I had it for the first time in a while for lunch today and it was so good.. I'll probably be eating here a few times a week now that I work so close.

I ordered the beetroot and cos lettuce salad. The beetroot salad was a mix of grated beetroot and carrot, raisins, spices and seeds. It was really flavourful. The cos salad was also good, loved the feta in it although I'm not sure if the feta was vegan feta or actual feta, either way it tasted so creamy.

My only complaint would be that the options are usually very hearty and filling such as potato, chickpea, noodle, pumpkin salads etc (carb heavy) would love to see more green salads with kale, spinach and fresh herbs or chilli in it.

Overall revive is a really great place for a fast, healthy and tasty vegetarian meal.
Dave Keen
This is one of the few places where you can get genuinely health and really tasty food in down town Auckland. All the options I picked were great and the smoothies are super. Only reason is this isn't a 5 out of 5 is it closes quite early in the evening (7pm I think) and the staff when I was there weren't as vibrant as I would of expected in such a neat place, they seemed a but tired.
Alice Chan
The new Revive breakfast menu is fantastic! It's hard to find quick breakfast options in the CBD that aren't just carb and sugar bombs. I love the ability to have sweet and savoury options.

The tofu yoghurt is a must try and you'll be pleasantly surprised. I can definitely say I am officially a tofu yoghurt devotee!
HayShanna
The portion sizes and value for money is great and you feel so healthy and virtuous afterward even if you've stuffed yourself! So many yummy salads to choose from and there is hummus to put on top. The hot pots are really nice on a cold day. It feels less pretentious (in my opinion) than some other raw food or vegetarian places in the city. Filling and healthy, you can't go wrong here.
Tan.ned
I love revive. Best health conscious cafe ever! :D I really am a big fan of their smoothies. Guilt free and they taste amazing! I highly recommend the peanut butter and Banana smoothie!
Pattarintorn Emmy Jusakul
You might say that I exaggerate but this place is a paradise for people who want to eat healthy.
I ordered small box which cost me $8 and I was completely full for my lunch.
The taste was phenomenal.
The price was reasonable.
Yet,the best part was the service from staff.
I will definitely come back here again.
Vaibhav Ajmera
Nice salad options. Mostly Vegetarian options are available.
Ambience is also pretty good. Should be tried specially for salads. Need to try the hot meal as well.

Revive is one of my go-to work lunch vendors. I'm in the city 5 days a week and after months of eating burritos every day, I went off the beaten track and found this branch.

When I get around to having lunch (usually late, around 3pm) Revive is rather quiet, which is ideal for me since I work somewhere that is constantly bustling. The food is wholesome and incredibly filling - I usually pick two salads and struggle to finish both, which isn't an issue because the compostable takeaway containers that the food is served in make it easy to bring leftovers home.

The decor is modern, yet very comfortable. When it's quiet, this is the perfect place to enjoy a good book over a nourishing meal during a busy day.
Veronica Te
This place is amazing. Their food is so delicious you'll forget it's so healthy. They have a variety of options that you can choose from depending on which sized container you purchase. They also have a seating area upstairs.

Whenever revive is on grab one I never hesitate to buy the maximum of 7 vouchers. At one point I was eating this every day for two weeks!

I would usually get the three salads and occasionally get the vegetable frittata. The couscous is by far my favorite it’s light, fluffy, packed full of flavor (sometimes couscous lacks flavor) and fills you up.

If you’re looking for a healthy lunch at a decent price then check this place out! You won’t regret it and the staff are all cool too.
Alex
Decent wholesome food but very expensive in relation to portion size. Would come back again but would be sad to see money leaving the wallet for what you get in return. The $5 vegan lunches at the University of Auckland are a great alternative, a lot more food and the same if not better flavours and tastes.
Michelle Hwang
Had a regular size salad box for only $5.00 with one grab*ne voucher. Normally It's able to choose three different salads, but I chosen the Kumara & Red bean one and the Roasted Tofu one. Tasty and fresh. Staff was very nice, talked to me with a smile on his face.
Oly Su
Being a vegan Revive is my go to place for many years, and it's always been a pleasant lunch trip.

The food is very healthy, flavoursome and very unique. I often struggle to pick my salads as they all looked really delicious.

After lunch I feel quite refreshed and don't get that grogginess from eating greasy fast meals.

The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.

You get really good deals signing up to their newsletter and I think Grab One has Revive coupon some times.

Overall, I admire Revive's natural, wholesome food philosophy, and it's truly a gem in the CBD.
Carly Hanna
Absolutely delicious vegan food in a central place in Auckland CBD. Shared a hot pot and salad with my friends so we could taste every salad available and I couldn't even decide which one was my favourite, they were all so good! The staff is very friendly and the environment is nice and cosy. Can't wait to come back here again!
Danny
Now I am not a big fan of vegan food - but for some reason it's hard not to rave about Revive. The food here is genuinely great tasting, along with being healthy and there being ample vegan/gluten free, etc. options. Revive has a changing menu which gets cycled every few weeks or so. Options vary from hot-pot meals, to lasagne and frittatas to salads. They have two sizes - priced around the $10 and $13 mark respectively. They have also come out with new biodegradable takeaway containers to make you feel even less guilty about eating out.

What's even better is that the place is always kept exceptionally clean and the staff are very bubbly. Its not easy to balance healthy with delicious, but Revive manages to get it just right.
Georgie @ Georgieats
Revive is one of my favourite lunch places in Auckland's CBD. I have been coming here for about five years now and I love their delicious vegetarian salads, dahl, curries, soups and many other dishes! Here is a taste of what you might find on their menu:

- Revive Raw Salad with beetroot, carrot and mint- Israeli Couscous with pumpkin, homemade aioli and green beans (I am not a pumpkin fan, but this salad makes it surprisingly taste good!)- Moroccan tagine with chickpeas on brown rice- Leek and feta frittata with potato and free range eggs- Mexican 'not chicken' and bean stew on brown rice... and so much more!

This branch in Wyndham Street is great - tons of seating and they are open till 7pm Monday to Thursday, making it not only a great lunch spot, but a healthy dinner option before a show or movie too!

Revive also sells smoothies and great lunch box snacks which you can purchase at the counter - their bliss balls are moorish! And, if you fancy recreating Revive's dishes at home, the owner, Jeremy Dixon, has released five cookbooks, which you can purchase in most stores or on Revive's online website.

Note: They now have new eco-friendly packaging, which is used for dine in and take out (see picture). Also, if you sign up to Revive's newsletter, you will receive a recipe each week, great tips for living a healthy lifestyle and printable $4 off vouchers - bonus!!!
WeiTing Ashley Shyu
Although I prefer the Lorne Street Revive over this one, the food is still the same quality - fresh, tasty and healthy. I've purchased several vouchers from GrabOne before because I'm a fan. It's just a bit of a mission to head to the city just for a meal at Revive, therefore I don't find myself coming here (or the Lorne Street branch) as often as I'd like!
Claudia Serra
LOVE this place and the food. Usually wait until a voucher comes up on Grabone to eat here. The new eco friendly packaging is wonderful and I love that the salads stay the same through the week but the main dishes change daily! The portions here are generous. I've never had a meal here that I didn't enjoy. Always feel great after eating at Revive :)
Ryan
The nicer of the two branches, wydham has more seating and busier (food seems fresher.) Tried quite a few of the hot meals and salads now, good concept with all items being vegetarian/vegan. I didn't mind it despite being a big male + meat eater.

Suggest going for the heartier salads, roast veg or noodles otherwise you might struggle to fill up if you're a big eater. The dishes are flavoured and spiced well with natural ingredients. Quality eat.

Great for workday lunch, even better if you can snack a grab one (they run them often).
Ximena
Me gusto este lugar... Me tome una sopa del dia que era de tomate y una ensalada que la puedes elegir, rico, rapido y saludable. Además algunos de los que atienden hablan español.
Jess Kingi
Revive is my favourite work day quick lunch option! I am not a vegetarian but revives food is so full of flavour I don't miss the meat. My go to is a regular salad which gives you three choices from their broad selection which definitely leaves me nice and full.

I also like revives story and their aim to fuel their customers with food with quality nutrients and I definitely feel fresher and ready to face my afternoon after (especially in comparison to other venues lunch options).
Hungusmcfatty
Reliable vegetarian eatery in the CBD for a quick, filling lunch.
The salads are quite substantial with plenty of variety. Choices range from potato, to rice noodles, and Caesar.
The portions are quite generous and the fare has a sweet and creamy touch. It's probably suited for people who want sustained energy from vegetarian fare or a hearty post-workout meal.
It's hard to pay the sticker price when vouchers are super accessible -look out for them in GrabOne and email newsletter which you can sign up in store or via their website.
The dhal hot pots (served on top brown rice alongside a salad) are quite nice.
Mary Underwood
Great handy location for that healthy alternative to fast food...and it's fast. Simple to choose. Lots of staff to take your order with a great selection of salads. May well become my new favorite lunch time haunt.
Victoria
Revive is great, always consistent and delicious vegan options. The staff are always really friendly - like the Wyndham location, the atmosphere is a little nicer and there's plenty of seating. Great when you're able to get a grabone offer too!
Madicattt
If you're looking for a salad for lunch, Revive is where you need to go.

With a rotating salad menu (you can check their website for this weeks rotation) you can pick a selection of salads for $6.50 (small - 2 choices), $11 for for three or $13 for four. I'd suggest that unless you're starving the small actually is all you need, for me the regular makes me feel extremely full. And I like to eat.

They also do a selection of hot meals like dahl and frittatas etc. If you can't decide what you feel like you can get a small container of hot pot to go with your salad for $1 - it's great if you want a lil something warm.

Everything on the menu is vegetarian and quite often gluten free as well and it's all delicious.

The only thing I'd keep in mind is that they rely heavily on garlic to flavour things. If you're avoiding gluten because you've got IBS (and follow FODMAPs) this can be way worse than eating gluten itself.

If you're not keen on paying $11 for a salad, keep an eye on Grab One - they often do deals. If you're a student, make sure that you sign up to their mailing list - they send out coupons regularly.

#challenge

Eaten here twice and used vouchers. Was a bit disappointed that the vouchers didn't include the whole menu, although the food was delicious. I would recommend the chickpea curry salad.
Angelica Wilson
Got some vouchers off grabone for $7.50 and added extras on for only a couple dollars in store. It ended up with me having a HUGE plate of food. 4 different salads and a quiche. Beetroot salad, chickpea salad and cous cous salad. Warm ginger tea and recipe books available to read. If you're in the cbd and are keen for a quick heathy meal this is definitely for you ✌️

Finely got the chance to eat here and it did not disappoint. I had a small salad which had a mixture of two different ones in the cabinet. A raw beetroot energy salad and a chermoula rice mixture. Both were so so delicious that I'll be anticipating my next visit.
A++

Great place for a weekday lunch. My only comment is it'd be nice to have some more tofu based salads or another salad aside from the Caesar and the raw one that isn't so carb heavy. Tried the green curry mingle today and it was yummy. I always feel so good after one of their salads.

Absolutely the best restaurant I have ever been to for lunch. I have bought their cookbooks too which live up to their high standard of food preparation. I have sadly stopped going 3-4 times per week because their GrabOne voucher price went up, but if it ever goes back down to $6.50 I will be back in full-swing! In the meantime, I'll cook from their recipes from home.

I am lucky enough to work near here and eat lunch here whenever possible.
This place is a vegetarian's dream. Their salads are all full of flavour and their vegetarian hot pots always satisfy a hungry belly (I'm especially fond of their faux butter chicken). I also recommend their cookbooks for anyone who needs some Vegetarian inspiration. Not too expensive especially considering how full I am after eating here, and quick even when the lines are long. Also, they often have vouchers on grabone to get more for your money!

I am so thankful for this safe haven in the cbd where I can eat chickpea salad and tofu curry in peace! The best place for filling healthy salads great selection and such good value!!! Mega chill, never had an issue with service except some of the staff aren't as chirpy as the others but I dont really care this isn't a restaurant it's kind of just classy fast food and I love flipping through their recipe books that they leave out so you can go home and have the same thing you had for lunch for dinner! Anyway Auckland needed this place desperately, other healthy places like tank even habitual fix a little bit are so overrated revive saves my life

Auckland's best kept non meat eating secret. Well, it's not really a secret because the line is always HUGE. The food here is really well priced and amazing! if you are going to stop in, make sure you go after 1:00pm, otherwise you will be stuck in a huge line. It moves quickly...but no one likes lines. They always do deal vouchers too which is great - so keep an eye out for those!

Absolutely delicious, super-healthy vegetarian food at reasonable prices. The portions are very generous and the dishes always contain a good mix of protein and carbs, so a Revive lunch will keep you full right through to dinner-time. I'm not vegetarian, but Revive is my go-to place when I'm buying lunch. Highly recommended!

Ok. So the FIRST time I went there, the girl behind the counter stood at the back and chatted away to her friend even after she saw us, and when she finally got out a whole line built up, and she skipped us and served someone else. Pretty bad, but we decided to give it another try yesterday and were yet again disappointed.

We came in and waited by the counter for 5-10 minutes before being served and we were the only people there, and when we ate our meal it was so bland I couldn't finish it.

Never coming back.

I am so glad I found Revive! This cafe is a great option for grab and go healthy food in the city! The large portions keep me filled up all day and the fresh vegetable dishes make me feel great! I'm loving the student deals that I receive via email. Can't get enough of this place!

The food was absolutely scrumptious and I'm by no means a vegetarian. Tasted fresh, delicious and was also really filling. Service was also quick and friendly.
However, when I almost finished my mushroom & feta cannelloni I found a couple of long black hairs inside of it. Gross.
Completely ruined the impression of the cafe. If it wasn't for this incident, I would be coming to this cafe at least couple times a week, but now I probably won't be back. I mean, come on, aren't employees working in the kitchen required to wear protective caps? These are basic sanitary norms...

Delicious, healthy food and friendly service - even my non vegetarian friends love coming here! I have recently become a vegetarian and the range of meals/salads offered here has made the transition easy. Looking forward to warming up this winter with your wholesome soups.

Healthy and tasty food served by a friendly team at very reasonable prices. The lunchtime rush is testament to its popularity.

Great to find this place around the corner from my hotel. Yummy food and friendly service, well worth a look.

went to Revive looking forward to the great food and friendly service we had experienced when last there, approx 1 year ago.Have come away feeling VERY disappointed...food bland...no dressings for the shrivelled salad...person on front service obviously didn't want to be there...even remarked to us"hope you're not going to change your mind" when we asked him about the salads! We did not enjoy our food at all...vibe has left this once great little Vegetarian Restaurant. We will not be back.

For people who enjoy healthy vegetarian food, this restaurant is a must. There are also vegan options available and gluten-free which is a huge bonus and seldom if ever found elsewhere.

The service is good, The salads superb and frequently changing so there's always something new to try.
The hotpot is tasty but I just wish they served it in larger helpings. They are extremely generous in their voucher system which is available via the website.
Get their weekly newsletter to receive them, plus free recipe and other things.

I was fairly sceptical when a friend asked me to go to a vegetarian cafe on Fort St. But it was amazing. It was buzzing with heaps of people. The range of salads is the best I have seen. And the meals we had (we all shared) were excellent. They do not have that good a range of sweets unfortunately but I suppose it must be hard with healthy food. I also signed up to their database thingie on their website and I receive a free meal voucher - amazing. Will go back as often as I can.
