Review Everest Dine - Auckland Central

Very delicious 😋 Nepalese foods, we like spicy curry goat, chicken momo, and lamb. Such a surprising me. It's very yummy, and all the dishes are tasty and beautiful. Definitely will be back to have dinner again.

Dined in with a bunch of colleagues on Friday evening. We all had a Nepalese dinner experience. The staff was nice, the ambiance is cool. And the food is amazing. I ordered Everest home style curry medium spicy and it was delicious 😋 Definitely we’ll be back! Highly recommended.

I recently visited this Nepalese restaurant and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance was lovely and the chef's cooking skills were truly magical - every dish was bursting with authentic Nepalese flavors. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Hats off to the team who have created such a wonderful dining experience!

Great experience. Very nice meat platter, mango lassies, chicken choila, and a vegetable curry. Medium spice could be slightly spicier. Had a very nice dessert too. Wonderful evening. Thank you
mmm
Entre and drinks are amazing. main course took abit arrive, a customer arrive after our entre had delivered and finish his main course before us and left, our main course still hadn't arrive. Though, the main course is especially good although It did taste warm instead of fresh out the kitchen. Edit: It turns out it was a misunderstanding and lack of communication on my side, I didn't know we need to say we're ready for the main course, for it to be prepared and served.

The food was absolutely delicious and large portion size. The service was next level, so friendly and they helpfully explained each dish because we hadn't tried Nepalese before. Highly recommend!
Celine Kim
Really enjoyed the food. Definitely coming back to try other dishes as well. Cozy and nice atmosphere, lovely staff!

Excellent customer service and very very delicious food. The staff is polite and well trained. Nice options for vegetarians. The cocktail mango drink was amazing. It feels like we are having food at Himalayas. Nice ambiance. Keep it up.

Great place. 17 of us from curry club turned up and they treated us like royalty. Full explanation of the menu was had. Super easy and great value. Food has great depth of flavour. Some of it is spicier than the other bit that was ok. Recommended.

Beautiful decor and nice ambience. Staff members are also very attentive and polite. We ordered vegan Thali, Fish curry, vegan chilli momos. All dishes are delicious and brings us right back to Nepal. Menu has lots of vegan options too. Will definitely recommend Everest Dine if you are looking for authentic Nepalese cuisine.

First time trying Nepalese food, decided to just get the idea of how the food tasted. It was really delicious! I was surprised I finish everything on the plate lol. Thank you . Now I'm looking forward to visiting Nepal.

Located in Parnell, Everest Dine is a quaint yet colourful dining outlet bringing the Nepalese cuisine to Auckland. The ambience of the place is amazing. Lit with makeshift glass larntens as ceiling lights and Himalayan rock salt shaped candle lights on the table the decor takes you back to Nepal. Wooden and clay masks, khukri, eyes of god (bhuddha eyes/wisdom eyes) and Buddha prayer flags adorn the place. The food is good and priced moderately (in sync with the upmarket place based on its location). The waiting staff is very sincere, friendly and hospitable. Food service and time is also good. Overall a well managed place and must try in Auckland.

Food was decent. The Nepalese curries were decently tasty while not being overly oily like many restaurants make them. That being said I wouldn’t say there was anything super stand-outish. They also let us bring in our own birthday cake with no extra charge which is quite rare for restaurants to do nowadays.

One of the Best Indian restaurants we’ve been so far(and we have been in more than 10 Indian restaurants in Akl), great food and the service is really good as well. Quality/Price matches very well and that is what makes this restaurant a great place for dinner or lunch. We love it. Aah an important point to highlight is that the food here tastes like: it was prepared the day before, and this is a key thing for Indian food (curries)specifically Chicken Tika masala or curries with Lamb 🐑.

When we arrived at Everest Dine we were greeted and seated at a table of our choice. The surroundings are appealing and the service efficient. Plenty if options for food choices and the flavors are varied and mouth watering. Please try this restaurant it deserves your patronage.

Would definitely recommend! Great selection of vegan dishes as well. The owners and staff were lovely. The chilli momos are the best! You get a portion of ten which is a really decent size! We ordered the chilli momos and the vegan platter and it was soo much for two people (who eat a lot).

We have moved to Parnell and we are closeby to all restos. Have eaten here 4 times in a month. I’ve always been craving for Everest chicken and Ledobedo. I also appreciate their Lunch menu which is a good portion for $15 and includes 2 Naan already! All staff are all nice and friendly. Looking forward to try their Momo’s.

First time ever trying Nepali food and I must say I was blown away With how flavour packed everything was. It was absolutely incredible and the guy who was serving us who I believe is the owner or manager not sure was extremely helpful with great recommendations for what to try and what actually went into the dish. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.

Great food with good ambience. Have visited the same restaurant at their previous address number of times and this was our first visit to their nee address and we were not disappointed. Steamed chicken momo will be my recommendation any day and Chicken sadeko is a great entree option as well.

Enjoyed the food and drinks 😊

Service was awesome. Go for the momos, lamb skewers were tender, goat curry and palak paneer were delicious. Highly recommend!

So yum! Everest Dine have opened today for breakfast and dinner, and it is amazing! Quick and friendly service, big portions, delicious food (perfectly cooked poached eggs, delicious rosti, yum as mushrooms and a perfect coffee)

Could not recommend more!

Last night I tried Nepalese cuisine for the first time! The meals at this restaurant manage to combine authentic flavours from both Indian and Chinese cultures 🤯 I loved every dish I tried as they were packed full of fresh meat which had been marinated with various spices 🌶 The owners were also lovely and welcoming which always makes the experience even better. If you are looking for a restaurant which provides a range of cuisines then Everest Dine is perfect for you 🥰

I have been here several times and i have never been disappointed a single time. I tried their Chicken Thali and to be honest it gave me a nostalgic feeling as i was craving for a good Nepalese food. Hats off to all the guys from Everest Dine!!
Ishaan Kochhar
Best godamn momos in auckland
Kushant Mansukhani
Ordered authentic Nepalese chicken ledobedo which was properly cooked with Naan and the chicken momo's was really good too, the only thing which can be improved is veg Momo's 😛
Anyway nice place, nice food and great service.
Kudos to the team 🤘
Retina Rimal
Amazing Nepalese food! Best momos and thukpa in Auckland. Will Be back for sure 😍
Nirazan Adhikari
One of the finest typical nepalese authentic food with fresh clean and excellent services. Highly recommend this place for nepalese and indian food. They also do specials and shared platters which was great to share between friends with varieties of drink options..
Sharad Kc
Great food, excellent service, complete Nepalese touch. Chicken mo:mo is lit, if anyone wants a full nepalese starter than Nepalese Platter is pretty good deal. Surely going back again!
Ujjwol Bhochhibhoya
I visited here with my family to try some Nepalese food. Momo was awesome, chicken sekuwa and chowmien awesome. Chicken korma and garlic naan... One of the tastiest of thier kind
Khanal Gaurav
One of the best Nepalese Restaurant in town. Great place for family and small parties and get together.

Great ambience and quality food. In love with Mo: mo especially..
Mohan
Things that reminds you of home the most is family, friends and food. The food here took me straight back to my home, eating the food made by my mother. The traditional vibe and ambience is only surpassed by the taste and the quality of the food. Heavily recommended if you want to experience the real taste of Nepal.
Raam Krishna Reddy
Food was really disappointing, I have ordered chicken, lamb and fish some how they all taste same and food is really expensive. I don’t why this restaurant got too much hype and high prices .. am never gonna come back.. not worth coming back
Paulkuru2
ordered from Uber eats. I haven’t eaten such incredible Indian food before.

Lots of very tender moist chicken thighs in our dish just perfect will be my new favorite can’t wait to dine in now

Awesome butter chicken and Goat curry..... not bad for dumping lovers as well !!!!!! Customer service was excellent !!!! Highly recommended for a beautiful meal 🥘.
Vedika
This was a great 👍🏻 place.... it’s just that the 🐐 🍛 goat curry had a bit too much ginger flavour in it
Another one was the ginger pickle I don’t know why it was so gingery
Apart from that, it’s a great place and
I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
It is great
Even the waitress we had was soooooo nice
Foodie In The House
Love Indian food and since coming to NZ have struggled to find one like we have in the uk bingo I found one best I have had and believe me I have tried hundreds top marks

If you ever have a cold, try their Chicken Thukpa. The blend of spices in the soup is beautifully balanced with the Sichuan pepper delivering the knockout punch.
Epicure
This place is good. I used to love their thupka soup but recently they have reduced the quantity and it was like from 3 serving to 1 serving. This change was not good compared to price which was not changed. Their food is good. But they should maintain the quantity as well.
Todd
Had always seen this place above crunch towers and was curious about Nepalese cuisine. Restaurant is very spacious without feeling cavernous. Menu was broad with many dishes to choose from including a lot of indian ones. Waiter was informative and helpful with recommendations. Food was pricey. 20+ for a curry. Curry was good, hard to compare as it was my first Nepalese experiance but was tasty!
I'm Hungry
Very disappointing food, not authentic at all and the Momo's because of which I went here we're the worst I have ever had. Place is gorgeous, staff is excellent but the food was just any other average Indian restaurant only double the price. We ordered everything Nepali - thukpa, Momo's, chicken ledobedo, lamb ledobedo, thakali chicken and the only one which was ok was the lamb ledobedo. The Momo's we're a chinese dumplinh version of Nepali Momo's - the chutneys no spicey at all unlike the nepalese. Sorry not returning ever.

First time at this place and it been an awesome night tonight at Everest.

Must try this place if you haven't been here before .
We have ordered Paneer tikka & Manchurian starter
Malai Kofta , Palak Pneer & Paneer butter masala etc. Which was delicious.

Their veg Manchurian was outstanding A++
Don't think else where in Auckland we can find Manchurian with Same taste.

Delicious food
Excellent Customer service
Polite & Friendly Staff
One of the best restaurant in Auckland.
Will visit again.
Thanks Everest & Team 👌👍

So the ambience is ok - a bit dated. Some culturally appropriate background music, and the place was very clean. I ordered the lamb entree and Everest Chicken which sounded a bit more interesting than typical Indian dishes listed. The lamb smelt interesting... but tasted amazing!! Who knew, I love Nepalese food. Unfortunately then the music went a bit Indian-tech/trance mid meal. The chicken was a let down, like a spicy tomato soup. So only can give a 3. Will review if I try something else for main!

Located at the Auckland most beautiful location.
Everest proves to be as promising as Parnell itself. I celebrated my Birthday over here in January and after that been here couple of times. The vegetarian food is amazing with perfect quantity and not that Expensive rates.
Enjoy your food with nice wine when u visit...;)

I have been to this location many times, but under a new name every time. I know Nepalese cuisine is very similar to the Indian's, but how similar is something I can't be sure of, so we tried to pick dishes with more Nepalese flavours.
Complimentary Papadum with a dipping sauce started the way. We had "Mo:Mo" chicken & lamb dumplings, and fish Tikka as starters. The dumplings looked very similar to the Chinese ones; its wrappings were not as delicate but the meats were juicy. Next came the garlic Naan; it smelled nice & rich in flavour too. Both chicken bhuteko Ledo & lamb jomsom came with rice - they were both rich in taste & very tender. We also had chicken Thukpa which was noodle soup with chicken. The dessert of Gulab jamun didn't look as good as shown on the menu, otherwise, we might have picked Khir (Nepalese rice pudding) for trial. My picks of the day were fish Tikka & noodle soup.
(Food - 4/5; Service - 4/5; Ambience - 3.5/5)
Visited on 10 March 2018

Heard a lot about this Everest, but not as good as I expected. It’s just like another Indian restaurant, but the place is vibrant, nice seats, great lighting, staffs were good, only the quality of items need to go up, colouring is not the answer to attract people. even many other Indian restaurants are doing that, people like me hate colored food.

Great location along Parnell Road. Parking could be a bit tricky on the road as its always full . No available carpark spaces on site. Staff served us was ok not very friendly though. Food was served after 10 minutes and tasted rich and good. Ordered Thukpa (Nepalese Chicken noodle soup),Thekhali & Chicken Ledobedo. I really like their butter and garlic naan, so fresh and yummy.Price range for a dinner meal is from $21, understandable for its location and food quality. Clean environment and good vibe. Would recommend as it's a Nepalese/Indian fusion of flavors!!

Delicious food, always! The Nepalese dishes are unique and highly recommended. Tandoori chicken is a favourite with the kids. Wonderful service!!

Was very curious to have the Nepalese food for the first time. Surprisingly there isn't much of a difference in the Indian and the Nepalese cuisine. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic, especially the chicken Momos and the lamb gravy.
Lia Yosaatmadja
I haven't had Nepalese food before. I was excited to go there with my awesome colleagues.

I had one of their Nepalese lamb curry with thick gravy. It was lovely. Not too rich and not too overwhelming. How ever, i must say the highlight of the night was the garlic naan. They were super amazing! Love the fluffy bread and the crispy garlic on it.
Lovely service, they actually did an awesome job with 17 of us on a big table. Will definitely come back for more things.

I really liked this place. Not the typical indian food you taste but has very nice touch to other traditions blended in which creates a great mix. Has similarity more with Bangladeshi food which aren't available in nz. However try chef's special on Nepali food menu and am sure you'll enjoy. Great service and reasonable price.

Maybe the only Nepali restaurant in Auckland that has a reasonable emphasis on the "Nepali" part when it comes to the menu. Decent momos, Nepali mains and Indo Chinese. Nice service and ambience as well. I highly recommend this joint to anyone interested in trying something from the subcontinent that is not your run of the mill butter chicken, tikka an biryani. Although they serve these too.
Anitha Narayan
Fantastic food and service- went here for a birthday lunch and their $20 meal deal is a steal ( with 1 starter, main and a beer/wine) and they allow BYOW as well. The fish madras curry we ordered was amazing as was the main starter and the chicken starter.. highly recommended to anyone keen for Nepali Indian food!!

This Nepalese eatery is located on Parnell road and it's quiet popular.Ambiance was quiet simple, service was good but food was really nice.
I ordered lamb dumplings which were a true flavour bcoz previously I have eaten Nepalese food and it was very near to it.
Then we ordered chicken bhuteko which was featured in Nepalese specialty but taste was exactly the Indian home made chicken, so didn't find it exciting, yeah garlic naan was v good.

Overall, a nice and quiet place, you should visit at least once.

Rare to find Nepalese cuisine along with regular Indo-Cinese stuff. Good ambience. Spacious. Friendly staff.
Food was good. Food felt fresh and tasted the way it would in India.
Though nothing special in drinks. Ordered a masala tea but, someone missed the masala in the tea. :)
A good experience altogether.

This place deserves a 5.0 rating. The staff are lovely. Our waitress was so welcoming and friendly. The place is cozy and extremely clean. The food was absolute top notch. My husband tried the goat curry and I had the muttar paneer and both were excellent. Plus it's reasonably priced for Auckland. We are definitely returning

Decided to dine in here instead of take away and it was phenomenal. Service was beyond anything I could ever expect & the food was out of this world. Order take away all the time! Pretty affordable for the food and quality you get & hands down best Indian in Parnell!

I wish this place was more popular it's a shame it's a little hidden because it's so good 😍😍😍

Pathetic!!!!!! Customer service given by the owner manager was really very bad. We ordered two plates of dumpling take away over the phone today near about 9pm. When four of us reach there we had a sudden change in plan to have those over there and then and we requested the man standing at the counter the same. The reply which we got from that person was shocking. He said just two plates of dumpling you cant have it over there because the order is too small for dine in. This was when I decided not to visit this restro ever as we are there regular customers spending heaps over dinner in the past few days and the response we got from the person was actually not valid. I would seriusly recommend my friends and partners not to visit this kind of restro ever from now ownwards.

We enjoyed the meal, service, ambiance, staff and cleanliness standard. It has a nice feel to the place and the food was very well presented. I'd recommend for sure and would go there again.
Maria
Had a lunch special here: entree, main and drink for a set price. The food was very tasty, I recommend trying their Nepalese dishes. Got some of the Indian dishes as take away recently and they were ok, but a bit overpriced for your standard Indian take away fare.
Annie Wilson
I'm not an Indian fan (after a terrible experience elsewhere). But we came here for a birthday, the food is quite good.
I ended up ordering samosas, and mango chicken and it was prepared fresh. Will be coming back!
Food Reviewer
Oh yes, a perfect dine in place overall. Great food and ambience. Staff are well mannered and have a great knowledge of their menu. The waitress was very kind and friendly, advised her to recommend a few dishes. They all came out perfectly well. One of their goat curries and chefs special lamb shank was really well made. A big thumbs up!!
Benedict Uy
Came for a birthday dinner since it was recommended by a friend. It wasn't too hard to find, upstairs down an alley where Casa Del Gelato is. We went on a Monday evening and it wasn't busy.

I wasn't too sure what Nepalese food was apart from momos, the dumplings. To start we had one set of chicken and lamb momo as well as the lamb choila. It was all really nice. The flavours and spiciness was really enjoyable. I liked the lamb momos best of the lot. The presentations of the entrees was quite impressive.

For mains we ordered three curries and naan for four people. We had the goat curry, the Everest fish curry and the Thakali chicken. They were ok and out of the three I found that the chicken was the nicest. I wasn't fond of the fish once since it was a bit too sour.

The waitress we had was really attentive and did make the night quite pleasant. Nice food and service so a place worth trying.

If you are in Parnell and are in search of a mix of wonderful flavour's and extremely well presented food, look no further. And if you are considering going to any of the Indian restuarants in Parnell, forget it, go to Everest Dine, the food and some of the dishes are clearly Indian influenced, but you will also be able to have Nepalese specialities and the presentation of dishes that you get here is nothing like the lack-lustre presentation that you'll get at your typical Auckland Indian cuisine restaurant - the kitchen at Everest Dine clearly put a lot of effort into not only ensuring that your taste buds are in for an experience, but your eyes are also presented with something to admire and most dishes come with a delicious side salad on the plate, something that really helps to differentiate itself from so many other restuarants that provide cuisines from the general geographical area around and surrounding Nepal.

My colleagues and I first went there with our Nepalese colleague who recommended Everest Dine based on the authenticity and for the Momos (Nepalese dumplings).

I am vegetarian so can only comment on a subset of the menu, but the vegetable manchurian is my pick. Hard to describe, but they are vege balls with an extremely delicious gravy. Actually I've tried all of the vege starters and they are great! Any of the mains that I have tried are great, but I'm usually quite content after having the vege manchurian, quite filling.

Definitely try the Kulfi for dessert - either Mango or Pistachio - you will be back for more!

I go there often with colleagues for the $20 lunch (which gives you an starter, main and drink) and occassionally for dinner and we are always very pleased with not only the food but the extremely warm, welcoming and attentive staff.

This is a glowing review, and I don't usually write reviews, but I think this place deserves it and I want to help these guys. I think if they were situated in say Sandringham or Dominion Road, Everest Dine would be well known. But because of their location, just back off / away from the road front, I suspect that a lot of people may not know that this gem exists! Please support these guys and go try, you will thank yourself for it :)

So a friend suggested there was finally a Nepalese restaurant in town and with much excitement we booked a dinner for 8 at this place. Parnell is full of character, cheer and good food- never disappoints. It's always a pleasure to visit Parnell.
However the problem I have with this one is you can't call yourself an Italian restaurant and serve French food- it's deceptive and almost like you are fooling people into believing so. Except for MoMos there was nothing that was exactly not like any Indian takeaway joint. Nepalese chicken curry is not Bhuna chicken!!!
Though the service was excellent, the restaurant well decorated, clean cutlery spotless table cloths but I refuse to even rate a place if I feel cheated. I would have happily given this place a 4 if it didn't claim for what it was not.- Disappointed!
Liam Buckley
I dined here with my family and had a great evening everyone enjoyed their meals. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was really tasty with generous portions and was served promptly. Will definitely be back.
Kaushikc_32
This was a place which we wanted to try for a long time. The service from the start was really good. The starters were really tasty, presentation was amazing. Loved the mommos and the sauce that was served along with it. The quantity was less compared to the price but the taste made up for it. .
Richa Khattar Goyal
Good food.. I went specially to have momos.. (Nepalese dumplings) as they taste better than any other dumplings.. try the spicy sauce.. as that's the best way to have momos.. they have a range of entrée to try from. Curries are nice and not creamy.. so u enjoy the flavours more... their cheese Naan is to die 4.. you can just have it by itself, no need to have any curry along with... will definitely go there again..
Cee
The food here is ok but not great. Be careful with phone orders - if you ask for their 'lunchtime takeaway special' they won't tell you if you've picked the 'wrong' curry and will charge you almost half as much again and stiff you on the naan bread.
Medium_Rare
Nepalese cuisine was enticing enough to convince my friends and I to try out this establishment in Parnell.

Pretty busy on a Saturday night, the buzz and chatter was pleasant which gave us hope that we had found a gem in Parnell.

We ordered some dumplings to kick things off, they were REALLY good. As good as the entree was the mains were disappointing. For our main we ordered butter chicken, Everest lamb, prawn curry, beef Everest and the thupka ( noodle soup ).

The mains were disappointing because the curries we felt were bland, nothing different to your normal Indian joint. We also had garlic naan and cheese naan. The naans were awesome. Thupka had heaps of flavouring and was a bit thick, however it's an excellent dish for winter.

Showstopper: the dumplings here are fabulous.

Overall Grade: B

Excellent food every time we've eaten here or had take away. Tandoori chicken, Nepali chicken curry, naans, kheer all yummy. And the service is very good and friendly!

Who even knew there was such a thing as Nepalese cuisine? Could this be the first restaurant in NZ (or even the southern hemisphere) to offer Nepalese enlightenment to us unqualified amateur diners? We ordered a random selection of exciting offerings from their takeaway menu. 'glutten free', or should it be glutton free :-) is liberally sprinkled on the menu, does anyone actually care, or am I just being intolerant (pun intended :-)? The momos were fantastic (everyone is getting on the dumpling bandwagon it seems), momos being Tibetan style dumplings with Nepalese spices. There were no complaints with the food. Fish tikka was great, as was the Thakali chicken. Service super friendly, and the interior dining area nicely set up for patrons looking for a cosy space.

This place is hard to spot if it wasn't for the fact that I did a search for Indian food in Parnell on my entertainment book app. Lovely place, but the interior was pretty dark - could do with a bit of light or candles on tables (hard to see our menu). Unless you're going for intimate - then that's a different review altogether haha.

The Nepalese twist to their Indian dishes is interesting from a marketing point of view. But to be honest, the only difference I can spot is that Nepalese dishes aren't as 'thick/creamy/heavy' as their North Indian counterpart. Nepalese dishes are a wee bit more tomato puree based or something.

Anyway, our server was super polite, very obliging and impressively knowledgeable. He kept on coming over to refill our glasses or asking if he could take away the dishes/changing plates, even as far as wanting to pour my masala tea for me. Very sweet of him (if not a wee bit overbearing).

Food was tasty - hard to fault. Their papadoms are yum - not quite the standard papadoms you'd get from other Indian restaurants. Definite crunch, tastiness and lightness to it.

Pricing wise - well it's Parnell. You're looking at $3-4 more than your Raviz. Haha. But I guess you're paying for the service (and perhaps the location as well).

The restaurant was tucked in a corner of Parnell village with not proper signage.

We just happened to land up dinner here. The food was utter disappointment from us. We had way better Indian or Nepalese food in past.

Momos were probably the only good thing I might have liked.

However must I say service was outstanding. Our server was polite, interactive and knowledgeable.

Having passed this place many a time we decided to try this place out last night. We walked in without a reservation and was promptly seated at a table. Having had a lot of Indian cuisine, this was a different experience entirely.

Apart from the main normal menu, there was also a monthly chefs special which we opted to order from. The complimentary papadom type crackers was served in a cute edible basket which was a nice touch to start with.

We had the chicken sticks to start it which was serve with a nicely spiced Nepalese chutney. All very well spiced and subtle layers of flavour on the palate which made each mouthful a delight. There was also the intriguing aftertones of other flavours that then pleasantly lingered on you palate which didn't seem to detract or repulse.

The mains of the lamb shank and goat curry were equally expertly prepared with with same subtle layering of flavours. Although we asked for it spiced hot and medium but in actuality it was very mild in its chili heat which was a surprise but again not a negative point. The laccha paratha was flaky and extremely tasty and in itself could have been eaten on its own.

Overall a very enjoyable meal and definitely a place to frequent again

It is an understatement for me to say that this is one of my all-time favourite restaurants.

The food is absolutely outstanding at an unbelievable price. We originally tried Everest Dine expecting restaurant decor/facilities and food commensurate with the mid-range cost of the main meals. We were blown away by both. I'll say again that the food is absolutely amazing. As a vegetarian I have rarely found restaurants which allow repeat (and repeat and repeat!) visits without exhausting the menu. At Everest Dine I never ran out off new things to try (although I did always couple the new dishes with my favourite butter paneer masala!).

What really sets Everest Dine apart from other restaurants in a similar price range (and even much higher price ranges) is the service of the staff. From the moment you arrive you are greeted at the door and treated with 5-star fine-dining service. The team there are terrific and always trying to please. They are infinitely accommodating of patrons wishes.

We have made a point of taking visiting family and friends to Everest Dine and they have all been equally impressed. This is our venue of choice to celebrate birthdays and any other occasion we can dream up!

We are leaving Auckland for England soon and we are heart broken to lose this as our local restaurant of choice. Fortunately the Everest Dine business also has outlets in London!

I cannot sing the praises of this restaurant enough!

This restaurant is located in a very cosy and convenient place in Parnell.

Clean and fresh interiors give you a very Nepalese ambience.

Service is super fast and the staff members are very welcoming. The person who was taking our orders was extremely courteous.

Food was amazing with the momos being my favourite here.

I'll recommend this place to all the curry lovers who like a few variations in their spices.

Everest Dine is an awesome little spot tucked away in Parnell. They are the restaurant around doing authentic dishes from Nepal. I have been here a few times and not been disappointed yet. Great for dinning in and take-away. Lots of great veggie options as well.

One of my Indian friend recommend me this place to have some nice Indian and Nepalese food. He was right! The food was nice and the service was good too. Our waitress seems to be shy, but she did her best to answer our questions of the dish.

right from the moment you enter, the service is excellent. we were welcomed by warm and friendly staff members and quickly seated and served. the food we ordered was traditional and light Nepalese curries which were fantastic.
located in the heart of Parnell right behind the Casa Del gelato, walk straight past there and into Everest Dine for the peak of Nepalese dining experience. highly recommended for all

We were exicited to dine at Everest ! On Valentines day! But the Service was below average.Order Chicken Momos to start at 8.00 pm and got them at the table by 8.30, Well 30 minutes of starvation for the stater we got over it in no time , as we were starving.Surprise surprise! Chicken momos turned out to be Lamb momos ! Funny we finished them as we were super hungry after the wait!Ordered Chicken Biryani with Butter Prawns and Garlic Naan for the main which took an hour 15 minutes ,Butter Prawns were delicious and the biryani was not authentic bit soggy! And finally tiny little icecream which took 30 minutes.Overall good food- Bad Service. Thanks for the food we are done for one visit!

Went for my birthday last week and had an amazing night!
Waiters are smiling, really nice and give good advice.
Food was great - thali - rich and then you are really full.
Homemade ice cream is perfect.
I highly recommend this place where you will find again the nepalese/mountain atmosphere.

I had stupidly not read a Groupon voucher that was for lunch only and we turned up 2 days before expiry for dinner ! (I did tell them it was a voucher booking when making the reservation !) After much haggling (much !), they agreed to accept the cost value of the voucher towards dinner. It as a shame that they made an issue out of the voucher as at no time once our mistake was pointed out did we argue for full value, only the cost price of the voucher which is reasonable.

We are not large eaters and ordered 5 entree dishes in order to sample as many varieties/dishes as possible. We were not disappointed. The flavours were unique and whilst some dishes are typical Indian fare, the only such dish we tried was the onion bhaji which actually was nothing like any other onion bhaji we had had before. It was scrumptious and not overpowering in onion flavour, nor greasy. All the other dishes were exceptional and the 5 ample for the 2 of us.

The menu is extensive and it is our intention to return to sample some more new tastes and treats as soon as possible.

Prices are very reasonable and the decor and seating is extremely comfortable and smart.

We decided to dine out tonight. A after a quick trip up the road, we arrived at Everest! The restaurant is a littler tired but modern.

However, the service was great and the food was amazing! The momo 's were amazing! And although we all ordered from the Nepalese menu, the meat was amazingly cooked :-) Will definitely going back again

Take a box of Nepalese momos, these lovely meat filled dumplings - look at the delicate patterns - and enjoy the sun in the nearby Parnell Rose Gardens. So good!. I first got introduced to Momos in a local Nepali restaurant in Bordeaux, where we got to try out different shapes of momos and sauces. At Everest Dine there are only chicken and lamb momo options, and both come with tomato chutney on the side.

Lovely food! Everything was delicious and timely to arrive, and we were a very big group. The curry I ordered was great, and the garlic naan was amazing. Staff were very friendly and patient haha... only downside is that the portions are quite small considering the price.
Restaurant's ambience was lovely and it's very big so it can fit lots of people

#EverestDine - a Nepalese Delish for all, went there to try the Nepalese dishes, with all the hype surrounding it, With its international sublets in Japan and the UK went there to try if the taste is authentic Nepalese. I was welcomed very warm heartedly and i could find this as more of a Family oriented hospitality, rather than a staff welcoming you. The food were exceptional and went there the second time with my collegues. They were pretty amazed with the rich aromatic flavours of the foods. I am going there again, with new people everytime, and would support them as compared to the other Nepalese restaurant which arn't many in numbers though. This is a place to be in and try MoMo, remember to dip it in sauce and eat it full, Enjoy it. Try the Himalayan Ala(alcohol) from Nepal. I can write so much .. but you guys must give it a try, the best Nepalese Restaurant in City.

We have been there more than 10 times.
Sandhya has been taking care of us every time we have been there and we find her a great asset to the restaurant.
She is always smiling, attentive, had good sense of humor and is very knowledgable about the menu.
We keep going there for a great ambience, amazing good and very humble and friendly staff
Excellent all the way.
Last minute call and I was glad to be invited along to a zomato foodie meet up here, it was a pleasant surprise when I found out we would be expecting Nepalese cuisine. A cuisine in which I'm not entirely familiar with.

The service started off great, and maintained the whole evening, the entrées were delicious, and the various Currys as our main course were a great showcase of the cuisine, the cottage cheese curry being a favorite amongst many, the garlic Naan could have used a few more lashings of garlic butter for my liking.

A good night indeed, will be returning soon

I was lucky enough to be invited to a Zomato meet up at Everest Dine the other night. Everest Dine specializes in Nepalese, a cuisine in which I haven't yet had the pleasure to try. I was definitely excited with the variety of dishes we got to try tonight!

From the second I walked in, the service was impeccable. The wait staff here were very attentive and catered to our needs well. They were also knowledgable when we had questions about the food. I don't think I can fault the service at all!

Most of us started off with mango lassi for our drinks, which was very nice. Entrees came next and we were treated to a wide selection, all of which were plated beautifully. We tried the Papadum Platter, mo mo lamb dumplings, the chicken breast, the Everest Lamb Sekuwa and the Aloo Lakali, a potato and chickpea dish served with their special Nepalese chutney. My favourite had to be the chicken, which was so soft and juicy! When paired with the hot mint sauce we got given, it tasted delicious.

For our mains, we were treated to a wide variety of curries. A favourite on our table was the palak paneer, a green cottage cheese curry cooked in a spinach gravy. We were surprised to find out that a difference between Nepalese and Indian curries is that they don't add cream or butter in their curries! This didn't take away from the taste however, it was still rich and creamy. The naan bread we got to try was the cheese naan and the garlic naan! Both were seriously amazing. I preferred the garlic naan over the cheese naan slightly. Both naans were quite chewy and doughy and I personally loved that.

For dessert, we got to try Kulfi! There were two flavours: pistachio and mango. The pistachio flavours were more toned down but had subtle hints of ginger. The mango one was delicious as well!

I had a lovely night at Everest Dine! Service was top notch and the food was delicious from start to finish. I really enjoyed my experience at my first Zomato meet up! Thank you Everest Dine and Zomato NZ for a great night! #zomatonz #zomatomeetup

Tucked away down a cute alley and up a flight of stairs in Parnell, this relatively new restaurant specialises in Nepalese food, which I was excited to try for the first time. The restaurant has lovely interiors and warm soft lighting (perfect for food photos!), along the most professional and attentive service that I've received in a long time.

We started with drinks, of which most of us ordered the mango lassi. They arrived quickly and were very flavourful and creamy. Next came an assortment of entrees, all beautifully presented and packed with flavour. My favourites were the Chicken Breast, which were super juicy and tender, and the Aloo Lakali, which was a potato chickpea dish with a really nice curry sauce.

We were treated to an assortment of curries as the main, along with rice, garlic naan and cheese naan. I definitely preferred the garlic naan over the cheese, as it was much crispier and less 'doughy'. My curry recommendations from the ones we tried are the Lamb Korma, an Indian classic, and the green spinach and cottage cheese curry. Sounds a bit scary, but it was so creamy and delicious, plus it's green so it must be good for you right?

For dessert, we were treated to traditional Nepalese ice-cream in mango and pistachio flavour. The pistachio was definitely my favourite, with lots of subtle flavours and a hint of ginger as an aftertaste. The mango one tasted a lot like a frozen version of the lassi, but was still really yum as well. Definitely want more of this ice-cream in my life!

Thanks so much to Everest Dine for an amazing experience, and the Zomato fam for a great night :) #zomatomeetup

Lovely ambience at this fairly new establishment specialising in Nepalese and Indian cuisines. The place was located in the heart of Parnell, in a quiet corner of the main street. The light music and quaint lighting really appealled to me and set the night to a great start. We were treated with a feast complimented with 5 star service. For entrée we had Papadum Platter, Everest Lamb sekuwa (skewer) , Momo lamb dumplings, chicken breast and Aloo Lakali. The lamb dumplings had interesting flavours but I found that it wasn't wrapped tight enough as the meat fell out of the dumpling shell as I picked it up with my chopsticks. But overall I enjoyed all the starters and absolutely loved the Aloo Lakali, which was similar to hash browns being laid on top of chickpeas. There was also a good balance of greens that accompanied every dish.

For mains, we had an array of Nepalese and Indian curries with rice, garlic and butter naan breads. Tasty! Although Nepalese and Indian were very similar, I was pretty surprised to found out that Nepalese dishes do not use butter, but they still taste lovely; rich and creamy. My personal favourite was the Chicken Saag. I just indulged in their mix of Spinach and cream.

Lastly, for dessert we had Kulfi, which were handmade traditional ice-creams. They were similar to normal ice-creams, but slightly harder and had icey bits inside. The pistachio flavour was really interesting. I liked the crunchy bits of pistachio and surprisingly, liked the light ginger flavour inherent in the kulfi as well.

Overall, dinner at Everest Dine was lovely. Glad that I had my first ever Zomato Foodie meetup there!! Great food and greater comoany. I'd definitely go there again! #zomatofoodiemeetup #zomatonz

I have been looking for a Nepalis place for ages and I have finally found it. This place got good service, good food and a very nice environment. The price of the food is reasonable.

We went here with friends for dinner the other night and it was so good we had it delivered tonight. The garlic naan was delicious and the momos with their special sauce is a must. I can't go past the lamb saag each time so far. As mentioned in the other reviews, the food isn't heavy or oily so you leave satisfied not sickly. Next time I'll try the saag with chicken or butter chicken. Whatever I try I know it will be good. Lovely staff and a cute restaurant with amazing images and videos of Everest. We'll be back! Do yourselves a favour and check it out.

I think much better than the 3.5 stars rating. Have eaten in the restaurant and had takeaway a number of times and always exceptional. Lovely setting in the restaurant but great food is the key. We have had the Momos each time which are incredible. The Lamg Saag is amazing and the Nepalese 'mother' recipes we tried have been great. Lovely Daal too. Nice people too. Highly recommended- try it.

Food was very good. It felt very good to see a different menu compared to what you typically get at other Indian restaurants - as commented previously, it is not heavy and leaves you feeling satisfied with the meal. Very friendly staff is an added bonus. Overall, enjoyed our experience here :)

last night i went to Everest Dine with my family, we noticed the bright blue light on the side while walking down the Parnell road and we thought of checking it out and really glad we did. We really loved the experience there with the friendly staff. The food was delicious, specially the Butter Chicken and the Chicken momos...there was not much oil in the food, so it didn't leave you feeling sick like some of the indian curries often do. The food was light and tasty. Will definitely go back and highly recommended.

We visited with my colleagues the other night, and the food was one of the most sophisticated Indian/Nepalese cuisine that I have experienced in Auckland. Friendly owner and staff, also the chef came to our table to greet after the meal. Service was nice too. If you are looking for a good Indian/Nepalese restaurant this place won't disappoint you.

Loved it! I had Nepalese noodle soup with chicken. It was full of beautiful flavours and delicious. Restraunt was clean and comfortable. The staffs were friendly and the music was pleasant. Definitely going back there and try other dishes soon.
Nicky
Lovely friendly staff. Food was delicious, it reminded me a lot of Indian curry, but it was not full of cream and oil. The curries and naan bread were lighter and didnt leave you feeling a bit sick like heavy Indian curries often do. The chicken Momos were delicious and tasted just like the ones I ate when I was in Nepal. I'll definitely go back.

We had a lovely meal at Everest Dine. Delicious food and great service. The chef's speciality lamb shank was next level. Definitely recommend.
