Well there goes my New Years Resolution for 2024. Just had a few of the Mrs Higgins Chunky Choc Chip Cookies and 1) I'm full, 2) I'm hooked and 3) I'm definitely getting more of these in future. Can't fault them at all. I found if you microwave one for 10 seconds then pour Meadowfresh thick custard over the top it's a perfect match and an easy dessert. So my New Years Resolution of signing up at the gym will now be to support Mrs Higgins. I'm picking it'll be cheaper and I'll be able to honour it. You cannot go to Auckland and not stopping in Queen Street to eat those amazing fresh cookies! I spent weeks in that city and I had one of them every day. A friend of mine just came back from New Zealand and I asked him if he could bring me few of them because they are unforgettable! There’s a lot of different choice for all the tastes. They have a rustic shape but the taste is so delicious!

SO YUMMY ! I can HIGHLY recommend to get an Ice cream sandwich. It costs around $6 and is soo worth it. You can pick 2 different cookies and get a slice of vanilla ice cream in between. My bf and I usually share, because they are big! We usually pick 1 chewy caramel cookie and 1 white choc&macadamia. Soo so good and I would even make it fit, when I just had big lunch because it's so delicious!

Stopping by for more treats we grabbed the peanut butter chocolate cookie and the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. Both were good but we were underwhelmed as the cookies were not warm as we were expecting. They were a bit hard but still were great as they were packed with flavour and tasty. Next time I would take mine home and heat it up before I enjoy it for a nice warm cookie.

Tempting smell across Queen Street makes it mandatory to stop by and pick up a snack or a few. Seriously good, oven-fresh cookies that are super delicious and even better when they are served warm. The quality and overall taste of the cookies are superb. Macadamia Choc and Choc chew are ones to definitely try out!

A little hole-in-the-wall cookie shop on Queen St. It always smells so nice whenever I walk pass, even from 20m away. Tried almost all flavours of cookies and my favourite is double chocolate chip. Their Ice-cream cookie sandwich is also very delicious.

I always order the double or triple choc chip cookies which have always been served to me warm which is a bonus. I like the chewiness of the cookies but have noticed that they've decreased in size. I'm sure they've gone thinner. At least the texture & flavours haven't changed.

Decently priced large cookies, always fresh and usually warm as well. We got these after a day hike at rangitoto island which made these cookies all the better. The cookies are a tiny bit too sweet though which would be my one complaint.

The smell of cookies is very tempting. Lots of flavours to choose from. However it only goes down hill from here. The chewiness of the cookies is their specialty. Was not a fan of this texture. It was odd, sticky as if I was eating a uncooked cookie. It was also way too sweet and buttery tasting. Honestly, I would rather eat Homebrand budget cookies instead. Also felt disgusted when I found a long thin strand of red hair that was atleast 15 cm long in one of the cookies. It was embedded deep inside the cookie which meant the hair was baked with it. Poor hygiene and overrated cookies. Not an enjoyable experience.

BEST COOKIES EVER!!!! Service: 10/10 The lady was super kind and was patient when I was fumbling with my money. All the workers have such a cheerful positive vibe. Food: 10/10 The cookies smelt so good I just couldn’t resist buying two. I bought the Anzac and the white macadamia nut cookie. They were soft, chewy and warm and gave me sugary happiness. Ambiance: 9/10 It’s a small shop but the aroma of the cookies travel a long way down queen street. The cookies are displayed with a wide selection of cookies. The texture is the perfect mixture of crunchy and chewy and any option with choc chunks is amazing. My favorite is the triple chocolate with so many choc chunks. Least favorite is the oat ones. I don't think my words can do justice to Mrs. Higgins cookies. They are the most yummiest sin you can do to yourself because you just can't stop at one! Mrs. Higgins is a cute little outlet on Queen street selling the freshest cookies ever. They have a large variety of cookies which are freshly baked, warm, soft, chewy and extraordinarily tasty. You can never stop by eating just one. My favourites are white chocolate macadamia, cherry & white chocolate and triple chocolate. I often drop by to fulfil my sweet tooth cravings. Also if you drop by the closing time then you can be lucky to have two cookies for the price of one. The last time I went I got four for the price of two :) They are excellent gifts for your loved ones, I always take them home when I visit my parents in India & they all love it too :)

Well to begin with if you are tourist best not to try cause you will have cravings later as your pallette keep remembering the taste. My friend told me about these cookies and they sounded amazing so when i was with him in the city i said lets go try! Literally blink and u will miss this place haha! Just a tiny little shop along queen street but usually has a few people there waiting. You can usually smell the cookies before you see them aswell, and damn they smell good! I love anything sweet to be honest and warm gooey cookies do it for me! My boyfriend was with us too and his eyes lit up at the selection to pick from! We decided on a deal of 5 i think for a special price as we couldnt decide what to get! They are pretty reasonable in price aswell. I was soo happy to see they had just come out the oven and was still warm and how i like it! These cookies are the business! Really nice and full of flavour i will defo come here again when in the city! Its just a shame there isnt any close to where i work, although thats probably a good thing haha!

This place is so hard to resist whenever I walk past..! You can smell it way before you get there, and by that time I’m usually already deciding which cookie I want in my head. My favourites include the caramel and chocolate chews, white chocolate macadamia (can’t go past this classic) and also the fruit & oat one which is super chewy and delicious. Also, they recently started doing ice-cream sandwiches! You can pick from either chocolate chip or chocolate chew as the cookie, and then vanilla ice-cream in the middle. It’s way cheaper than ice-cream sandwiches you can buy at ‘fancier’ places, and still tastes amazing. Best idea ever Mrs. Higgins.

I can smell Mrs Higgins from up the road. Okay that's an exaggeration but everyone knows that when you walk anywhere NEAR the little Mrs Higgins shop, you're gonna smell delicious delicious baking. The smell gets me every time. Their white chocolate macadamia is one of my favourite cookie flavours ever. I like the caramel and the triple chocolate as well! Actually I like all of them. 😂 The brownies are delicious as well! On top of this, the people there are lovely! I just need a glass of milk to dunk the cookies in and I would be set for life.

One of the first large gourmet cookie parlours that I've visited in town. The aroma of their cookies always drift a long way on Queen street and you can't help but being drawn towards Mrs. Higgins! Love the slight hard and crispy outside which embraces the inner chewy cookies. Another one of my favourite comfort foods! Mrs. Higgins is touching peoples' souls with the oh-so-amazing combination of crunchy and gooey cookies they make. The best time to try them would be in the mornings when they just open as they're absolutely fresh but then again they're not bad the rest of the day either. I love all of their cookies but if I had to pick a favourite, it would definitely be the milk chocolate and macadamia cookie. Just one bite and I fall into an abyss of rhythm and harmony in my tummy. It makes me feel like eating the whole cookie, but at the same time I want to relish each bite so I slow down. Whatever it is, Mrs. Higgins holds a very special place in my heart! You guys are doing an amazing job!

Today, I was sold a Choco Fudge Brownie at 2:30-2:45. I rushed to the bus after buying it. After taking a huge bite i started feeling nauseous and checked the brownie and it has fungus growing all over. I got off the bus to try and vomit but could not. It was expired (best before 22 Jan 2015) and was sold on 27 Jan 2015. The brownie smells horrible and i feel sick having bought it from a store "considered" to be good. Posting this review so people are forewarned. DISGUSTED. Attaching photos of the brownie and the fungus.

It's not that hard to find - just walk to the McDonald's on Queen Street, take in that appetite-whetting-freshly-baked-cookies aroma and follow your nose two stores up the street. I like the chocolate and macadamia variants but the double/triple chocolate is just as delicious. At $2 a piece, it's totally worth it (and there's usually a discount if you purchase more). Next time you're down in town looking to fulfill that sweet craving, just follow your nose!

Walking around downtown in winter , smell that freshly baked cookies . Just ask them to give you a warm one if there is any , you will just die in the warm cookie , chocolate chips melting , walking in the cold wind . So good that I never felt one was ever enough .

Walk on queen's street is never complete without the aroma of Mrs. Higgins cookies filling the air. Be it the crusty fudge or the crispy cookies. A cup of coffee with couple of cookies ( choco chip, nuts) rejuvenates the mind for the rest of the evening. If in queen's street your olfactory receptors should have no trouble finding the corner ;-).

Our reliable, friendly cookie provider! There's nothing like a good warm couple of cookies fresh from the shop... I'm not actually sure whether they even cook the cookies in this store...at any rate, they blow cookie perfume out their window all day long. The best cookies are the triple chocolate and the chewy mint one. Is that even a flavour?

Mrs Higgins is the home to the softest and chewiest cookies that are hot out of the oven. There's always these delicious smells of constant baking wafting out from the Queen St store that makes it hard to resist, especially since the cookies are only a couple of dollars and the size of a hand in their paper packets. I highly recommend the triple chocolate, which are my favourite with huge chunks of white and milk and dark chocolate peppering the chewy cookies. Perfect for a snack any time of the day, especially in the cold winter, I highly recommend Mrs Higgins' cookies to all.
