Review Biskit Cafe And Kitchen - Auckland Central

Great environment with dog friendly outdoors seating (albeit 2-3 tables only). The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Korean beef tacos and prawn fettuccine. The beef was flavourful like it was barbecued, which made the taco delicious to eat. The prawn fettuccine was also packed with flavour, and had a good amount of chilli and spice. Overall, great food and coffee, as always.

Amazing place with plenty of food options! We tried their eggs on toast, creamy mushrooms and vegetarian past and all this came very tasty 😋 Service is very prompt and staff is friendly. Nice location with ampule of street parking also a great view directly to the streets of Parnell from the glass window ❤️

Had the most amazing lunch at Biskit café. The Cuban sandwich is the best Cuban I’ve ever had- and their steak pie was divine. Staff were friendly but meals took a while. The atmosphere is gorgeous, with tall ceilings and comfy seats. Only downside was that their kitchen closed at 2pm so we couldn’t order from their hot lunch menu, deli items only. Would recommend for coffee, pastries or lunch! Lush spot.

We had our breakfast at this lovely place ❤️. I order scrambled eggs with whole meal toasts it was delicious and tasty, the egg was cooked perfectly and the other dish is 3 eggs open omelet it was soooo yummy I enjoyed with each bite it was full with flavors . Coffee was yum also . Highly recommend this place to enjoy your time with your friends or family.

Really like the atmospere of this cafe. Such a quaint yet busy establishment, but the service is really great and attentive. We had the spinach prawn and creamy fetuccini, with matcha waffle as dessert. Love them all!
Alyssia
The french toast was rlly good- a bit too sweet after finishing it tho! I’m disappointed they didn’t have matcha waffles anymore- i came in especially to try them but good atmosphere and rlly nice service and cabinet. Food came out really quick as well.

Sean and team are lovely. Great service and food. Really high standards and they always go the extra mile. Food and coffee have always been consistently made to perfection. Respectfully, Aneez

The perfect porridge! And excellent Flight coffee. Great experience, looking forward to returning

Excellent coffee. Haven't tried the food but keen to, it looked great.

This was a busy cafe. Great service with a good selection of food. The coffee was good. The food did not take long to come to the table. The food was very tasty. Nice friendly service.

It's level 2.5 and some people are still hesitant about going out. Fair enough. Just means it's easier to get a table and so glad we did here.

Popped in for a spot of father's day brunch. Service and coffee was excellent and the food matched it. The creamy mushrooms were perfect and a side of bacon rounded out the entire experience. The other 2 dishes had similar reviews.
Antonia Jopoetro
Love their ambience, nice seating, and the pasta is the winner when I visit last time. The korean beef burger is just ok, but the fries is so good hahaha. Unfortunately, the matcha latte is too sweet for me. I think need to ask less sugar for it.
Overall, it is good place to eat but nothing much special for the food :)

The best chicken salad in Auckland. The chicken was very juicy and all the ingredients were very fresh. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Biskit Cafe will be my favourite place for weekend brunch from now on. I would highly recommend this place👌
Comfortable setting. Prompt service and meal preparation. Well presented and very tasty. Reasonably priced for the quality and area too. Will return!

𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒂𝒄𝒐🌮: We usually don't like scrambled eggs 🍳but this was the softest and fluffiest eggs ever! Very light so perfect it made our weekend! Chipotle🌶️ sauce wasn't overpowering, we still could taste every single ingredients.⠀
⠀
𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒎𝒊 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒅🥗: Generous amount of halloumi🧀 perfectly grilled. A bowl full of goodness and nutrients which is exactly what we need right now💪🏻. We tried to do a lemon 🍋 squeeze action shot but unfortunately it didn't go as planned not much juice 💦came out at all.⠀
⠀
Their smoothies 🥤and coffees are also amazing. We can't get enough of it. Can't wait for another brunch here😉.⠀

This is the first time I bought from this place. I purchased an almond croissant takeaway, and 40 minutes after eating it, I got such an indigestion, I still do not feel well. Very disappointed, as I thought it was a popular place. I wonder, if due to the lockdowns, the food was not fresh.
Pauline Ioelu
Amazing cafe. We go regularly and the staff made an effort to learn our names. Food is spectacular and the coffee is also consistently great. Our favourite cafe - if you are in Parnell, definitely choose this cafe!

Absolutely love coming here, I am yet to have bad experience. The environment is cozy and inviting and it feels like it is part of the community when you walk in, everyone seems to know everyone. Which is clear hallmark of a good cafe.

This is a light-filled place with a nice and simple aesthetic. A very comfy and cozy setting for those winter months and a light filled clean space for those summer days. They have done an excellent job in this department.

The staff and service is one of the standouts at Biskit. The staff here are some of the friendliest I have ever encountered. From the moment you walk in to paying the bill they are very friendly, chatty, and are always smiling. This makes for a very pleasant experience that draws you back. The service is also excellent from the moment you walk in, you are greeted appropriately and seated quickly. The food and coffee comes out very fast, even if they are packed. Which they often are, especially on the weekends. But don't be put off by this as we have never had any issues with being seated quickly.

The food is delicious and presented on an excellent menu that caters for most. There is mostly your typical brunch/breakfast options and the ability to make your with the side options. I often get either the breakfast tacos; smashed avo; or the eggs on toast. Which I have never had any issues with. My partner often gets the porridge which is always met with good response. Or she will quite simply make her own with a selection of sides. The coffee here is also delicious and I personally think it has some of the best in Auckland.

Overall I really do love this place and it has quickly becoming a regular. With really affordable delicious food, and service that you expect from a fine dining restaurant, you really can't go wrong. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great cafe in Parnell.

Everything was perfect also the staff are so kind and sweet

.
📍 Biskit
🍴 'biskit Breakfast + Creamy Wild Mushroom + Seoul Beef Burger + Fush & Chups
-----------------------------
Other than bisBreaky toast being slightly too over toasted (crumbling when sliced), and a 'wild' puddle of mushroom sauce (Maybe some people like it like this), it's a perfect place for brunch or lunch on a nice day. Oh but about that mushroom sauce, it was a pretty delicious puddle of sauce to be honest 😂. Our favourite had to be the Seoul Beef Burger though; juicy korean styled beef patty, nicely tucked inside the New York brioche bun, and a perfect amount of fancy lettuce and red onion for that CRUNCH! Plus the other stuff.. tomato, cheese etc etc.
And Fush & Chips.. well, fish and chips is just fish and chips for us really. Must have used clean oil though as the batter and fries tasted fresh.
Ambience: Simple and neat interior with tall and wide windows to let in plenty natural light, it's a great place to sit, eat, drink and chill.

Great food and amazing service! Nice calm and quiet environment to relax.

Loved my experience dining here. Not only is the food delicious and aesthetic but the staff are also very welcoming. Would highly recommend!! :)

In all of our time of dining outside, never seen such dirty plates and utensils. All our cutlery and plates and coffee cups and water cups had stains on them. Even after I asked them to change the cutlery to a new set, the replacement also had stains. The food and coffee is decent but however clean plates and cutlery is an absolute necessity if you dine out. Disappointing since they are a popular spot. They should hire a great dishwasher ASAP

I regularly visit here since my first time in Biskit and I loved how their foods taste different from others even though they are quite classic menus. Their coffee always makes me energized every morning and I appreciate how they always make all dishes so pretty with some eatable flowers. I personally recommend SEOUL BEEF BURGER. This is amazing😍

The environment is lovely and warm with nice staff. I liked the presentation of my creamy mushroom but the sauce was too intense. It made a puddle in my plate and softened the bread to the point by the time I was eating the last portion it was super mushy.

Had a quick breakfast at Biskit this morning, food was wonderful and very filling. Had the standard eggs and bacon, eggs were seasoned and cooked very well.
Mango smoothie was fresh, delicious but very sweet ( maybe ordered it too early in the morning, would be lovely at brunch or lunch time ). Staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly , food came out quickly and the venue has beautiful decor.
Cammy L
Creamy mushrooms were delicious! Place offers wifi which was great for doing work whilst having coffee. Also, great service.

I came to Biskit with two friends for brunch after seeing the cafe we were going to go to was closed and I'm low key grateful I got to try out Biskit instead. Biskit offers 1+1 gold which makes the food even more worth it. Firstly, the service was great, the male server was extremely friendly and was in a great mood, offering excellent service. The female server was also really caring, asking us how our food was during the meal. I got the porridge but without cream and brown sugar with a side of smoked salmon (extra punch of protein) and my friends got the breakfast taco, ugly salmon bagel and an iced chocolate drink.

The porridge made by Biskit made me even more addicted to this cafe. The portion was absolutely massive and could probably feed two people (as someone who eats a lot, I struggle to finish my porridge and had to share out my side of smoked salmon to my friends). I loved the fact they were able to accommodate to my needs since I prefer my porridge not sweet at all and they achieved that! The toasted coconut added a nice change in texture to the oats. The smoked salmon portion was really generous and beautifully presented for $6 as they gave 3 slices of smoked salmon, most cafes only give 2 for a higher price.

The only downsides I would say is since the cafe is so small, it is a little crowded at peak hours. Also, there was a misunderstanding when they thought I wanted bacon instead of smoked salmon but they quickly resolved that and another table wanted a side of bacon so all was solved at the end. Other than that, I highly recommend Biskit and would definitely return to try other dishes out!

First time at this cafe, very nice food, friendly staffs. Highly recommended !!!

The chicken salad was so tender and delicious. But the best thig is Cheese scone, because it was very tasty. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Biskit is my go-to cafe in Parnell. It is welcoming and cozy and staffs are all very friendly:) I had Thai Chicken salad and my friend tried their calamari. The dishes were exceptional! It’s also a great deal that you can use your zomato gold here as well. Of course everyone knows their coffee is the best. If you are in Parnell area and looking for a great experience, you should definitely check this place out! Highly recommend it!
JIIN KIM
Whenever I come there, they are always the best. Especially, Thai chicken and beef burger are perfect. Of cousely, coffee as well. All staffs are so friendly and chefs are handsome☺️ This is my favorite place in Auckland.
Vishnu Ratnagopal
This place is very stingy with food and pricey for what you get. The taste is very bland no flavour at all. There is better places to go to then here. Never coming back here again, have no idea why the ratings are so high for this place, the food taste super cheap. The salad you get is from the packet salads you get at countdown. Super annoyed I came here, have to wash away the horrible taste.
Little Borneo Girl
Cafe was packed when we arrived. We were happy to wait for a table. The waitress with brown hair tied in a ponytail was very pleasant and happily serving with a lovely smile. It is really good to come into a welcoming cafe/restaurant. The food standard was good. Loved the cappuccino, one of the best in Auckland. Enjoyed the fries too. Highly recommended.

Very cosy little Cafe in Parnell. Been here several times and really enjoyed sitting in the corner people watching. Staff were pretty nice and coffee was very good.

Another brunch spot found in Parnell. We visited this cafe on a sunny Sunday. The open-air and light color interior made us feel so relax.

Our food was well presented and tasty along with our cup of coffee. Reasonable price too.

Staff are most welcoming and offer an excellent standard of service. Keep it up!

Nothing really that appealing about this place. Food is average although service is good, maybe worth a visit if you're in the area but not a must eat place
Ming_Angela Y
Came here for a late lunch. Thankfully their kitchen was still open and we stayed. Really nice setting, and the food was great. It was definitely high quality and the flavours stood out. We really appreciated our experience here from both the service and food!

The portion size was more than enough and didn’t leave us feeling bloated at the end.

We came here because of zomato gold which made it even better value for money :)
Sinooki14
Whenever i go there with my friends wo could enjoy the amaizing variety of foods!!! Morever all of staffs are so nice and kind these people make me feel good when i visit this cafe
김현우
It was good and feels comfortable that the staff smiled for me during I drink coffee.

Place is in a nice area but to cater to dietary requirements they get a big fat zero this is not a place you want to go if you can’t eat certain foods.
Coco_Clairy
Perfect place for brunch, amazing taste and good price with Zomato gold! The food and coffee are both great. We set sitting to a group people who are really loud but I don’t thinks it’s fair to downgrade this place. Maybe more spacious layout or some music will actually help though.
Catherine Mackenzie
Absolutely divine food. We had a wonderful lunch with friendly and attentive staff. Most highly recommend especially the Thai chicken salad, burgers and calamari.
Sana Patel
Best brunch place I’ve been to in Parnell so far! The service and staff were lovely and the meal was super filling for the price - so happy that it is on Zomato gold! I’m usually not a salad person but decided to step out of my comfort zone hesitantly but I am so grateful that I did because the chicken salad was very flavourful, fresh and most importantly very filling! Will definitely be going back again ☺️
Karen
HORRIBLE PLACE! Do not come here if you have any allergies cos they are not accommodating at all! They ran out of most things on the menu, cabinet food and the chef gives you dirty looks for having dietary requirements?! Also ridiculously priced for pretty basic food!
Teesh Ianto
Came with mum on brunch date. Walked into cafe and the aroma of coffee hit me instantly. Loved the decor, outdoor seating ideal for those out on a stroll with their dogs. Food was tasty and coffee was good- great service, atmosphere and food came quickly. Cosy couches. Beautifully presented food, decor and homeware. Would love to try asian fusion lunch options.

We live in the area, and this is our ‘go to’ cafe. Never disappoints with great food (generous portions), solid coffee, and friendly/attentive service.
Nice place, helpful staffs, the chicken salad was sensational, tasty chips and burger. Very traditional big breakky.

Zomato Gold :) I saw this on zomato gold and looked at the pictures and had to go! The cafe is in the heart of Parnell. When we arrived the place was packed and almost went down the rd to another cafe. We found parking as Sundays its free. Found a table near the glass doors. Had to be cleared tho from the previous ppl. But the table was wonky! Had no choice but sit there but funny how the girl who works there DID NOTHING TO FIX THE WONKY TABLE. So close to giving you a 3 star for this . We were offered water and ordered our hot chocolates. Was expected in hot chocolates. For food i ordered the chicken salad, THE salad that ppl had alot of pictures on in zomato and my daughter the Seoul beef burger. She loved the fries, best fries iv had and her burger bun was abit messy as it crumbled everywhere but the burger she said wasnt anything amazing but was nice. My meal the chicken salad looked like a piece of art, and the half an avocado on it was superb! The quinoa on top and the kale salad with the pickled something and the hummus, lettuce and red cabbage shavings and the sauce made it all go together. The chicken was cooked perfectly and reasonable size. I was so full after this meal. And felt healthy lolol but if i was to say anything else, ppl in Parnell really think islanders cant eat at these places haha makes me laugh. But over all beautiful meal. continue to make your PI neighbours feel welcomed. :)

Sunday brunch and it was amazing. We ordered the Seoul Beef Burger, Thai Chicken Salad, Matcha Latte and An American (not pictured). The beef patty was so juicy it was oozing out as I cut into the burger, it was messy but worth it. The beer battered fries were on point! Cooked to perfection, love some good potato fries! It had that crunch and softness when you bite into them. The salad was also good, the chicken was so tender it went perfectly well with the salad. 10/10 definitely would come back!

My impression of salads have been tainted for a really long time. Biskit honestly changed my mind 🙏🏼 Who the hell even craves a salad?! Soz can't relate, I have never craved a salad until I tried the Thai Chicken salad at Biskit. Every time I have this chicken, it's ALWAYS on point. Crispy, juicy and seasoned to perfection 🤤 All the ingredients are super fresh and pack a punch 🤛🏼 Every time I eat this salad, it just makes me even hungrier. I'm always dramatic af and my boyfriend has to hold me back from ordering more food 😅😂 This salad is delicious AND makes you feel healthy af, what more could you want?! 💁🏻 Not gonna lie... I felt like a health goddess after this, I felt I cleansed my mind, body and soul ☀️ This feeling lasted for about 5 mins until I ate a whole pack of cookies by myself 😅

Rating: 10/10 🔥🔥🔥

Solid brunch place. Nice staff. Got a sandwich and an omelette. Both were good. The carrot cake was also very good. Buttery and flavorful. Nice atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out.

Staff/service: 4/5
Venue: 4/5
Price/portion: 3.7/5

We decided to give it another try with since we have the Zomato gold. We like the decor of this place, love the exposed brick wall. I ordered the creamy wild mushroom at $18. Pricy for for a dish with 1 egg. My husband had the open omelette $19. In the menu, it was mentioned that 3 eggs will be use to make the open omelette. However when the open omelette came, it looks underwhelming in size for the price. The taste was also disappointing and nothing to be impressed with.

Join Zomato Gold and get 1+1 on food or 2+2 on drinks. Also get a 20% OFF using my referral code SUMA8564P

Really enjoyed my meal and time here at Biskit! Great for the price, the building and location is very nice and clean and the service was amazing! Highly recommend and will be coming back again soon :)

Came here twice in a weekend because the smash avo was just that good 😍🤤 Love the asethetic, food and the staff are super friendly too. Definitely my new go-to cafe.
Mike
Buzzing cafe in Parnell, with great service. Biskit is cozy with comfy seat. The food is great with a Korean twist. I’ll recommend the Korean burger that I have tried before but I haven’t been disappointed with the food in the menu. Sadly the coffee is “ok” there are better ones around.
Tony Lee
Coffee here is amazing but the food is very average unfortunately. I came here twice and ordered 4 different dishes but still haven’t changed my mind about the food. This cafe used to be really good with the old owner unfortunately.
JY
Biskit is a cosy and chic café. The interior and simple, with lots of light window space, which I loved.

We visited on a Saturday morning for a quick breakfast. We order the porridge and eggs Benedict with bacon. Coffee was served promptly and hot.
The food took a bit longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. Service was friendly.

My partner thoroughly enjoyed his porridge - much better than a few others he’s tried in Auckland! My eggs Benedict was also well done and presented beautifully. The eggs were just soft in the centre (perhaps just a touch over cooked for my liking). Hollandaise sauce was perfect, creamy but not too heavy, nor overly acidic!

Would definitely recommend you try this place out! Brilliant job guys.
Sarah De Guzman
Love the atmosphere in this cafe. If you want to get out of office and work in a cafe, this is the place. They provide wifi, only downside is that there are minimal power plugs in the cafe, so come in fully charged. Overall, the food and coffee is very nice.
Eun
Beautiful cafe at the corner! Food is great, staff are all very kind:) I had Thai chicken salad today and it was the best salad I have ever had!! Definitely recommend this place. No wonder why it’s always busy:)

VERY NICE!
GOOD DEAL WITH ZOMATO GOLD TOO

The Wild Mushroom is soo gooooodddd

A bit of funny side of me wanted to say that all the staffs working here are very good looking and well dressed 😂😂👍 good job Biskit!

Good location and ambience. Pretty good and decent priced food for a morning breakfast especially the tacos. A really good place to have the morning coffee.
MCP
Nice little cafe in the heart of parnell; Their coffee is quite good, food also comes fresh and appetising! They also have quite a range of cabinet food if you dont want anything too heavy! Friendly staffs as well

The place is busy, when we went in on a weekend almost all the tables inside and outside were occupied.
We ordered the Seoul Beef Burger and Biskit Breakfast. I was stoked that the burger came with beer battered fries, both were delicious. The burger was very big and filled with good stuff. I really liked the buttery brioche bun. The beef patty had that strong meat smell to it but it was gone in a slight second. Fries were cut to the right thickness and yummy. The Biskit Breakfast has everything that a Big breakfast would have. I enjoyed this and the mushrooms stood out for me as they were very well seasoned and tasty!
Service was great, friendly and prompt.
Indie Heath
Giving this 3.8 stars. The food is nice, I had the avocado smash - it was quite sweet which was strange? Not the best avo smash I’ve had but definitely not bad. My boyfriend got the beef burger, I didn’t try it but he said it was nice meat. The fries were yummy! Bun was a bit crumbly. Bread for the avo toast didn’t seem the freshest. They’re chilled about you using wifi which is cool.
Sorry_vonguenumber
Service is very good. Friendly and efficient. The iced coffee with cream was good. The beer battered fries had little crispy pieces of bacon. The salmon bagel was decent.
Anne
Very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely presentation of food and the cafe had a nice clean and fresh vibe. Great flat white and delicious iced coffee!
Tejas Thathachar
Biskit never fails to make my morning. Great coffee, a very cosy ambience, a spot in Parnell around which it’s easy to find parking, friendly staff and great brunch options makes it my favourite cafe in Parnell. They also have decent smoothies which you might want to try if you’re in the mood for something on the cold side.
Claire Pham
Fast and great service, friendly staff. I absolutely loved the creamy mushroom. The cafe is right in the center of Parnell. Satisfying experience in overall.
Preethi Nagarajan
The service here is always friendly and prompt. The almond scone, halloumi salad and omelette are excellent. This will continue to be one of my preferred weekend brunch and coffee spots.
Wapatino
The avocado on toast was surprisingly, and unfortunately very sweet. Not sure what it is they add to it but its the first time I try sweet avocado on toast and I did not enjoy it at all. Thankfully I went using zomato gold.

On the bright side the staff was very friendly.
May Hung
Nice deco and friendly staffs.

We ordered creamy mushroom and avocado smash, honestly wasn’t too impressed with either dish.. the smash avocado is really small for $18.5 and there wasn’t much on the dish .The sourdough was swimming in mushroom soup so it was all soggy.

Both Coffee/matcha latte was okay. But the whole experience was a bit let down by the food...
Sophie
Lovely staff amazing coffee n food.

Food was huge potion.
Creamy mushroom was well cooked. Everything was complement each other.
Fried chicken was too sweet for me. But my partner finished all.

I really enjoyed the coffee and mushroom.
I would like to go again.
Keli Tiu
Loved this place. Food was great. Had the beef burger and eggs benny. Eggs cooked perfectly. One of the best fries I've had. Staff was super friendly. 5-star service. Will definitely be back again.
Emily
I got the eggs bene with smoked salmon with Zomato gold and a soy Mocha.

The egg was so perfectly cooked, as you can see in the picture. They gave a good amount of fresh spinach which i loved. A refreshing alternative to the usual sauteed spinaches at other cafes. They were generous with the smoked salmon and i loved that the muffin was toasted well, soft yet crispy.

Enjoyable lunch. Thank you.
Persian Foodie
Had the bacon eggs Benedict and the seoul burger with beer battered fries. Drinks were a housemade lemon lime and bitters as well as a hot chocolate! I loved my eggs Benedict, nice amount of hollandaise sauce, fresh spinach leaves that weren’t overfilling the plate, nicely poached eggs and nice crisp bacon. For the burger, my partner didn’t like the carrot pieces in the meat patty and said there was too much lettuce compared to the meat and bread ratio. Loved the crispy fries though. I thought the burger had great flavor with nice spices and aioli. Amazing service too, the two guys at the counter were friendly, approachable, got us seated fast, took our orders promptly and we got our food in less than 10 minutes! The place was still pretty full at 2pm which is a good sign. Will come back to try the creamy mushroom!
Jiamin Liang
The environment is very nice and clean. The servers are handsome. The coffee and food is good! I like the juicy beef burger and crispy chips.

Nice place near my work place, I love this dish very much, also my colleague does, I definitely will come again, highly recommended to everybody!

Very nice little cafe, cosy environment, perfect for chilling out or working on your laptop. Very friendly staff. Yummy food, good coffee. Great value with zomato gold. I will definitely come back again.

Popped into Biskit for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I loved the decor, it made the place appealing. We ordered Biskit breakfast, an omelette and some wine. We thought the wine took awhile to be served considering there weren't many customers at the time. When the food came out it was a little underwhelming. The portions we received were definitely not worth it. Overall, I thought the place was was aesthetically pleasing, the staff were nice, but unfortunately the food was a big let down.

We had lunch today and very pleased with the quality of food and the service. Coffee and matcha latte are very good. The bagel and the bread they used for the beef burger are so yum. Definitely will come back and try more on the mune.

Loved the aesthetic of this place - tall ceilings and glass walls make it feel very spacious. I also loved the cushions, decor and plants. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We ordered the Creamy Wild Mushroom and the Ugly Salmon Bagel and a flat white. The mushrooms had really deep flavour and the salmon bagel was to die for - both plates were very clean at the end. Definitely would come back here again!

Food - 5/5
Ambience - 5/5
Service - 5/5

The restaurant service quite slow, Food was so so like home style cooking, coffee was good, On weekend always busy people keep coming for food.
Mashed_Potato
While Biskit is incredibly pleasing to the eye, both its decor and its presentation. The quality and taste of the food we ordered (eggs beni, fish and chips and calamari) was below expectations.
Regardless, a couples Sunday lunch before a walk through Parnell will always go down a treat. Also big kudos to their staff who took care of us very well from start to finish.

I had the creamy mushroom. Great presentation and taste. Was very filling too. My wife had the big breakfast. Was a nice atmosphere, friendly staff...
Christine
This place was really nice! Best place for weekend brunch. The staff were friendly and attentive AND mainly the food was great!! Just personally wished the halloumi salad had more salad sauce. There was a road work right outside of the cafe however the place was good enough to forget about the noises :)
Sus
Omelette & Halloumi salad were good. Big breakfast was moderate, could have done in an unique option than just grilled plain tomato, mushroom, sausages and baked beans. Good customer service. Coffee was good. There is room for improvement.

One of the best aspects of Biskit is that it has a corner large window facing the east: the location is cool and during the morning you can enjoy the sun rising. Customer service was great by everyone in particular a young waitress was really kind and lovely and a young waiter made me notice I had left my belonging on the soft bench. By the way they have tables and soft benches with pillows! Food was amazing and generous: usually other places add a teeny tiny slice of salmon with Benedict eggs, in contrary biskit knows the right amount to add! Finally the Cappuccino was really nice.

Pictures are not showing fully the local since I do not want to photograph people without their consent.
Jacynda Darmawan
Nice little cafe, however the food was not as good as I expected. I had the salt and peper calamari. It was not that flavorful and I don't think it was freshly fried because it was kind of soggy and cold. The mushroom was delicious though.
Annie Low
I definitely recommend their creamy mushroom!! So tasty!!! Love it!!! Other dishes was not bad too :)
Coffee is good
Ambience is good
Staffs were very friendly
There’s construction outside the cafe which is quite noisy
Alice
Very nice environment and the food was amazing
Especially the fried chicken!
The smoothie was refreshing and taco was very tasty.
Staff was very friendly and nice. Recommends nice things on the menu. Wanted to try the burger but they ran out. Will come back and try it again!

Was here with my parents for some sunday brunch.

The food was good, especially the grilled chicken salad and their creamy mushrooms on sourdough.

Their korean fried chicken was good but abit salty. Other than that coffee and food were delicious and nice service from their staff.

Highly recommend if youre in parnell and looking for some nice place to eat or even have a cup of coffee.

Enjoy!!

Super friendly staff, short wait times and no wait for a table. Ordered the eggs Benedict and the smashed avocado and they were both really good! Definitely coming back for another smashed avo!!!! 🥑

Staffs are nice and friendly who always checking whether we need extra services or food.

We order the beef burger and chilli calamari. The beef inside the burger is juicy. Buns are toasted crispy with butter. The burger is 5 stars to me.

My friend tried the calamari. The food is fresh but we didn’t feel the spice. It didn’t give us the strong flavour as we expected.

Overall, not bad. Wouldn’t mind coming back!

First time going to Biskit. Ordered the Egg omelette and the Avo, Smah! Pretty good food and friendly staffs. Will definitely visit again in the future.

The food at Biskit was amazing! I had a simple scambled eggs on toast but it was one of the better ones I've had! Biskit lost a star because the coffee was good, not great.

Clean, friendly and great food.

Ordered a burger and the old classic kiwi breakfast. Burgers and chips were well presented and was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also very well presented with perfectly cooked poached eggs. Left very happy and very full. Best go-to cafe in the neighbourhood. The chicken salad and halloumi quinoa salad is amazing! Also they use Flight coffee which is another reason to go there :)

Used zomato gold today at biskit with friends. Ordered two egg on toast for kids, egg was perfect. They ate them all. I ordered taco which is really delicious. And all the dishes got good presentation and good flavour. Service nice and friendly.

Excellent service and chill atmosphere. Food came out very fast and tasted pretty good. Presentation of food is decent.

I got the eggs benedict and my bf got their Big Breakfast. I quite enjoyed my eggs benny but apparently the Big Breakfast was average.

Very good value if you’re using Zomato Gold 1+1 on dishes but I prob wouldn’t go and pay full price.

Chips and burger sauce was quite decent.

My friends told me eggs bene, taco and omlette was pretty good.
Maybe it’s just me thats picky because I own a cafe myself.

Very nice little place. Food is tasty and also nicely presented. Didn't try their coffee but tea was quite nice. Give this place a try, it's a shining gem in Parnell.

Amazingly polite waiter, tasty food that was presented immaculately!
Great cappuccino too 🙂
Note there is no way to change you baby’s nappy if you needed to do that.

I expect this review will look a bit mean seeing as it is focused on one very specific food item that I did takeaway on,
but the $9.50 tuna roll was enough of a disappointment I'm going to post.

All I could taste was dryish tuna, and the bread roll.

Everyone knows you need to make your tinned tuna creamy, and add more flavour e.g. mustard.

First of all this is a beautifully decorated cafe, it’s so bright inside with cushioned seating along the large windows, cute shelves and menu boards.

I ordered the creamy mushrooms and an iced coffee, and partner ordered porridge and cuppaccino.

I really enjoyed my dish, it was a generous serving and delicious. Iced coffee was good, no complaints. I don’t really like porridge but my partner said he enjoyed it. He thought the coffee tasted burnt at first but thought it may have just been the froth/ chocolate powder on top.

Overall yummy, well portioned servings of food, lovely staff and interior, and decent prices.

UPDATE: Tried their Halloumi Salad and Thai Chicken Salad! It was super delicious! Biskit is now one of my favourite brunch spits that deliver great customer service and great food. Their flavours are astonishing, especially their lemongrass chicken! Just the right amount of lemongrass! Halloumi was super addicting, I wanted more. Their custard donut was rrally nice as well!

Their food is top-notch and delicious! Had the Creamy Wild Mushrooms and I was in awe, as I took the first bite. The sauce was just the right amount of creamy. I just kept soaking the crispy sliced sourdough in the sauce. The portions were generous and the poached egg was on point! These guys will amaze you with their perfect presentation and tasty food! Friendly staff with good mannerisms and always putting a smile on their face! I'll have to try their coffee next time!

overall good services !

The coffee taste nice and beautiful.

However the food is a bit too oily. The poached eggs are overcooked . I took a peep on other tables, it is not only me but all the poached egg are over cooked. The kitchen need work on this.

I give the food for 2 point , service 5. Overall 3 stars

The staff are very friendly and polite. The food is very good value and delicious too. Iove the atmosphere of this place also. Would definitely recommend for a good brunch.

It was a nice Saturday morning at Parnell. We had a creamy wild mushroom with poached egg, cheese & toasts, a spicy beef burger with beer battered fries & an almond croissant. Good brioche buns which I like were used for my burger. The croissant was soft & very nice.
(Food - 4/5; Service - 2.5/5; Ambience - 3.5.5)
Visited on 18 August 2018

Love its relaxing atmosphere. I've been here several times and the creamy mushrooms were the best I've had overall. Their Scones were really big and the lemon loaf was beautiful as well.

The service is always super friendly, I think everything was quite improved after the new management took over the place.

We had the breakfast tacos and avocado and toast! Both really really good! The avocado and toast was really good but the proportion was small but the tacos covered for that!

Have always wanted to pop in and try this place out as it looks super relaxing and aesthetic everytime I walk past it in the heart of Parnell. Was warmly greeted by friendly staffed and was well looked after the whole time.

We ordered the calamari and the big breakfast with a side of beer battered fries. Though we were a little disappointed that the calamari didn't come with fries, we were definitely impressed with the quality and taste of the fries we ordered as extras. The calamari portion was generous and came with a side of salad. It tasted fresh and the meat was juicy along with the drizzle of garlic aioli.

The big breakfast is just what you'd expect with sausages, toast, poached egg, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and baked beans. Very generous portion and everything tasted good.

They serve their hot chocolate in a super cute presentation and you can really see the effort the staff put into ensuring you have a great experience.

Food 8/10
Service 7.5/10
Ambience 7.5/10
Price 7/10

This is favorite place. Cosy and warm atmosphere. Clean, bright and quiet. Very welcoming and friendly staffs. Highly recommend Benny and Creamy wild mushroom.

Came in the holidays with a friend. Ordered fish and chips, a scone and a crepe cake. The scone was quite heavy and the crepe cake was really delicious. Each layer was well defined. The chips were crispy and the fish tasted fresh.

Had a very quick breakfast at Biskit this morning. We ordered a flat white, cappuccino and a mocha, as well as the creamy mushrooms on toast with poached egg ($16.50).

The service was super friendly and really prompt. Both food and drinks came out very quickly which was really good. The creamy mushrooms were the best creamy mushrooms I have ever had! Very light and tasty, usually the dish is heavy and gets quite sickening but Biskit’s take on the dish was spot on. Serving sizes were large and the price was relatively cheap, surprising for the area.

I went to Biskit for Saturday lunch with Mum. The place itself is very well presented with some tasty looking cabinet food. Mum and I both ordered coffee and a menu item each. We both felt our coffee was weak, milky and lukewarm. Mums smashed avocado and salmon was way too small for the price they charged us - you are paying for the privilege of being in Parnell it seems! My breakfast burrito was average - I could have made the same thing at home. Weirdly they write ‘Biskit’ in sauce over the top of the burrito which seemed quite tacky. Just put my sauce on the side, thanks! The staff were very pleasant and attentive. I would return for the cabinet food only, even the coffee isn’t worth going back for!

New favourite spot in Auckland. It was a very busy day but the whole team was very welcoming, helpful and attentive. Had Thai chicken salad and loved it so much. Wonderfully seasoned and well balanced with a generous portion of chicken and veges. Nice work team! I am coming back next week to try your Beef Salad :)

fantastic food, vibe and staff!! great place! definitely best cozy little cafe in Parnell. had a little chat with the new management team and the owner who have done it up nicely and very passionate about his craft and it shows.
tried big breakfast and it worth every penny, i will be back for sure and cant wait to try other brunch menu. keep up the great work !!

Had the biskit breakfast here, was fantastic! Would love to come again for coffee, great service. Cute and cosy interior, quiet atmosphere to keep your mind off worries and enjoy.

Came here for some morning tea last week. It was pretty busy. Had an iced chai latte which was nice but a little too sweet for my liking. Also got a date scone heated up but had to send it back as it was still cold although it was delicious and filling. My boss had to ask for a double shot in his coffee as they make them quite weak here so keep that in mind if you like strong coffee! All in all a nice experience, very trendy atmosphere. Would go back.

A humble little cafe that I think is overshadowed by all the bigger ones in the hood. The interior is cheerful and cosy, staff are nice and polite. I've only tried their coffee and lemon curd tart, which were both good. My bf likes their egg benny. This is a great place to chill out though I reckon it would be very noisy if the cafe is packed as the seating capacity is quite small. Nonetheless, I think biskit deserves a worthy mention.

Best mango smoothie I think I've ever had. Yum. Lovely ambience, attentive staff, window seats with stupidly huge cushions... generally a very pleasant place to be.

They looked after my young son (21 months) and I really well. The breakfast burrito and scrambled eggs were great and the banana smoothie was very nice, especially with the added coconut

Biskit is a bright and lovely place to have your next coffee or lunch! This cafe is full of character - beautiful decor and unique food presentation. Food was good, however I felt like they were "missing something" - (this could be the salad on the side lacking in dressing, or some types of meals missing certain spices... can't really tell) 🤔 Only tried a few things on the menu though, I will eventually go through it 😉 Very friendly and attentive staff, always pouring your glass and making sure you are happy 😊 Will come here often!
+ As an Avid tea drinker - I recommend asking them to leave the tea bags/ tea leaves as they usually take them out for you before serving it.

Wow.

Just wow.

What a delightful experience! Came in for lunch with a friend and we ordered the spicy beef burger (highly recommended) and smoked salmon hash cakes. Coffee was lovely too. Can't fault the service - they were attentive right till the end.

Would return to try the other menu options someday.

Finally visited Biskit, I am in love with the decor and vibe of this cafe. I had a mocha and a beef burger, hands down one of the best coffees I've had in Auckland. The food portions are huge, great value for money. Would definitely recommend popping in for your next caffeine fix.

Lovely decor, high ceilings and relaxing ambience.

Biskit is a refreshing cafe that stays true to its own unique identity amongst Parnell's populated and soulless cafes.

We had an ice mocha and a hot chocolate which were both delicious-- although nothing out of the ordinarily. I did catch from the corner of my eye someone else feasting on a burger which I can't wait to try next time.

Overall we had fantastic service and our drinks were great. What really sets place apart though is the vibrant nature of the store and its service.

Showstopper: Just a damn cool location and cafe.

Overall Grade: B

Nice cafe in the centre of Parnell shops. Service was very quick, coffees good albeit on the small side, the almond croissant a little heavy for a pastry but went well with the coffee, and the lemon mascapone tart looked fantastic and tasted just that (light sponge base with airy lemony mousse and a berry centre, coated in a glossy red icing and white chocolate shards - would recommend!) The cafe wasn't too busy on the Saturday morning when we visited. The pumpkin soup on the blackboard was tempting too. No complaints here 😊

Bounced into Biskit before my meeting and dammm, what great little place to have breaky! Amazing service, food was great with the classic Asian attention to detail to the dish that kiwi Cafes could learn from! Coffee was great will come here again.

They even have a great selection of beers, beers on tap plus a good wine range.

I had a Hunter's breakfast. The portion was good. But it is a regular dish with an upmarket price. Cooked tomatoes, cooked sausages and toasted bread... for $22.5 Okay, I know it is Parnell.
The coffee was very average, it cost me $3 only, I guess you get what you pay for.
But I do appreciate the friendly staffs from there.

Found this little gem on Zomato and I was really impressed. Nice ambience and attentive staff. My latte was superb and my friend's flat white was awesome too. Will try their menu next time!

Clean and fresh looking Scandinavian style cafe with an appealing interior that serves a nice coffee and with plenty of magazines to choose from if you are that way inclined. Service is friendly and the cafe filled up pretty quickly, so it can get to be a bit of a squeeze. Getting to the toilet is difficult. I didn't order off the menu so can't comment about that, but the cabinet food was more than acceptable.

This is a really cool cafe in Parnell it seems stuck between the 2 busy spots on Parnell Road although it doesn't seem to hinder it one bit. Every time I go here I always get a nice friendly welcome. A must try is the smoked salmon scrambled eggs they are simply like nothing I have ever tried before but something i feel I have missed out on. If your in the area it is well worth a try and is reasonably priced

Real nice!

Manager and staff very friendly. Colleague had the spicy burger and loved it and i had the special which was the curry beautiful 😊

Coffee was also a nice touch.

Overall a good place from breakfast or lunch.

today the three of us had lunch and what an enjoyable experience it was. The charming owner soon found us a table in an otherwise busy dining room. The service was some of the best I have had and the 2 warm Thai chicken salad just delicious. The other order was leek and potato soup and if it had been polite he would have licked the bowl. Looking at the other diners they were also enjoying their meals. The wine list is excellent and also a list of beers....on tap or bottled.
Can highly recommend you eat here. I give it a top rating and no, I do not know the owner!!!!!!!!!!!

We were in Parnell and wanted to try this place after reading a review.... The service was excellent and very friendly... The food is abit different but we did enjoy it. The chips were yum too.

Came here with family for brunch on Sunday morning. We walked in and the first thing that we noticed was the manager arguing with the cook in the kitchen. This meant we had to wait a while to be seated. Clearly very important to get the final word in! We wanted the window seat in the corner (there were only two other tables occupied) but we weren't allowed that as apparently it was the wrong configuration for us (2 adults and 2 kids). We did get a window seat which was great. The decor is light and fresh and it is very very clean. The sun had started to come out after a pretty miserable Saturday so sitting by the window getting our first taste of sunlight was very welcome.

We ordered coffees (fantastic - hot and flavorful) and the kids ordered iced chocolates (which the kids pronounced fantastic).
I had the Spanish Hunters Breakfast (poached eggs, chorizo, wholegrain toast, bacon, sliced tomato). It was well cooked (the eggs were perfect) but while the chorizo packed the spicy punch I love it was more like a frank - cutting into it didn't produce that spicy mix of oil and paprika that mingles with everything else on the plate - to be fair this is probably more a matter of personal taste than any issue with the quality of the chorizo.

My wife had the breakfast burrito with Valentina hot sauce (verdict - a great choice and we now have to find a stockist of the aforementioned hot sauce).

Kids well catered for with a bacon and cheese panini (hot, and oozing with melted cheese) and bacon, poached eggs and wholegrain toast (once again perfectly runny poached eggs).
The service was friendly, efficient - to be honest a bit of a surprise after the start.

All in all, a great brunch with simple, well cooked food without being sensational. There was really nothing on the menu that that jumped out and said "I'm different and awesome" but what was there was done well and as said previously the coffee was excellent.
(There was also a good selection of cabinet items as well.)

We had coffee here this morning which was excellent along with a bun with custard cream, which was nice, but not wow! It is a very pleasant setting and nicely decorated. The cabinet food is a little disappointing with white buns (which looked freshly baked) and fillings, and toasted pizza type buns to choose from, along with the sweets which are all very nice, but a very small choice cabinet food wise. (We're trying to be healthy bread wise, and white bread/buns are off the menu for us generally) We have previously had the chocolate tart which was very rich and melts in your mouth, and is a great idea to share - recommended. We did not order any cooked food, so cannot comment cooked food wise. All in all, a great place for an excellent coffee and good service.
Randomly walked in for lunch, and was indeed a good choice. We were seated and the owner was very friendly and attentive to our table.

The Iced Peach Tea ($4.5) was so refreshing and was made with the perfect sugar level for me. We ordered Burger@Biskit ($18.5) and Tofu Tom Yum Lemon Infused Linguine ($22). The burger was alright with a bit of flavour going on with the patty but found the texture of the buns a little dry. The linguine on the other hand was quite good. It was a good attempt at a fusion dish but overall, I do feel that these dishes seem to be a bit over-priced.

For my next visit, I'd definitely try their sweet selection in the cabinet as they looked so good.
I heard from a friend this place is amazing! Unfortunately, it was a dud for me.

Staff was friendly and so was the owner (?) who was lovely enough to give us a seat near the massive open windows - perfect for the humid summer weather that day.

However, the food was less than satisfactory. I ordered the burger with fries - the portion size is alright for the price (slightly more high end version of burger fuel type of burgers) ; whilst my friends ordered the seafood linguine. The first one was great, looked perfect and made to order .... Then the second one came out. The huge prawn looked over cooked/burnt and the overall appearance of the meal looked.... Rushed. Unfortunately the disappointment continued, my friend ate a piece of mushroom and saw a piece of black hair swimming in her pasta. When I asked a staff member for aioli (the one that is suppose to come with my meal) they came out and gave me tartare sauce - I would prefer to be told they don't have it rather than be given something else under the assumption I don't know the difference.

I was ecstatic to see they used All Press coffee beans here .... I ordered an iced coffee because it wasn't the right weather for a hot coffee, but I wish I did anyway. I'm so disappointed they presented me with a chocolate decorated iced coffee - aesthetically pleasing, yes. Taste and expectation pleasing, no. I would have ordered an iced mocha if I wanted chocolate in my coffee.

On the plus side, the food in the cabinet and on the boards above the counter look amazing and would like to try that if I decide to venture here again. I wouldn't recommend for personal reasons but I see a lot of people like it, so each to their own. Try at your own risk!

This is my favourite restaurant in Parnell. We visited this cafe about 4 times in a month.

Right on the Parnell Road, plenty of car park for our car.

Easily locate it as it is one of the corner lot. The decor of the cafe is very clean and tiny. Simple but very comfortable. It has glass panels can open up to promote air circulation in the cafe. Toilet is well kept and clean.

The manager and owner Nick is very friendly guy. He talks to us, welcomes us everytime we visit.

We love their tom yum prawn pasta so much that we must order every visit. The grill fish, grill mushroom with herbs, foot long donut with cinnamon and fried chicken wings are always on our table. Cappuccino is one of the good ones can be found in Auckland.

They do not open for dinner. Don't go during evening otherwise you will be disappointed.

The cost of a meal for my family of 2 adults and 2 children is about $85.

A must go in Parnell.

Strolling around Parnell took us to Biskit, a new addition on Parnell Road. Stopping by for a coffee and a couple of sweet treats from the cabinet, we took a small table next to the large open windows.

Service was adequate. The tarts were overpriced but tasted great and so was the coffee.

Would like to come by and try the menu items next time.

great coffee at Biskit cafe, also enjoyed the breakfasts. great atmosphere on a sunny day with the windows open, staff were great and made my coffee just the way i like it. we will be back to try more of the menu. keep up the great work Biskit!

It seems like there are a couple of negative reviews here for Biskit. But i had a great time enjoying my Japanese styled brunch - the Japanese pancakes with bacon. It was basically Okonomiyaki with a twist of bacon topping. I absolutely loved it! Also had a build your own breakfast which is pretty much DIY your own dish. Generous amount of food plus fantastic customer service. Coffee was great and the cafe owner was very friendly and approachable. Overall I had a great time spent in this cafe and I highly recommend you to try it! :)

From first glance I had high hopes for Parnells latest addition. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I wasn't too hungry so ordered a bowl of fries and a $8.50 drink that was made up of ginger beer, lime and brown sugar. I was expecting something special from the drink but instead it came w a small bug in it. After telling whom I can only assume as the manager I was offered a drink from the cabnit which was nice but would have preferred a refund. The chips were fine, they needed salting, no major complaints but nothing to rave about. My friend ordered the thai chicken salad and was disappointed. It came out looking rather unappetizing and uninspiring offering no flavors suggesting to its supposed thai heritage. I loved the outfit of the place. I think it would be lovely for coffee and perhaps a sweet treat but rather hit and miss on the kitchen food front.

we were on vacation in New Zealand and just came back. this place just opened and we thought to give it a try. I built my own breakfast with spinach tomatos eggs and avocado, and it was really really tasty. normaly spinach and avocado do not have the best taste, but the way it was made was perfect for me. I really enjoyed it, while my husband had a very good espresso, which we noticed that is not easy to find in New Zealand.
We did not get our food within 5minutes on the table what is absolutley normal, but the personell was very friendly and hard working. I think these people give their best to keep up the good work and are really doing it good.

We had great hopes for this new addition to the Parnell scene only to be really disappointed when we visited for breakfast last Saturday! The fitout, although it appeared stylish was not well laid out (no room to move between tables when people are seated) and the acoustics were terrible. We looked on zomato to check out their menu only to find out that the eggs benedict was no longer available. .....the menu had changed straight after opening as the kitchen was deemed too small.....The build your own Breakfast idea seemed appealing but when your poached eggs come almost solid and only just warm, I would question this idea. Huge room for improvement....and a sweet addition to the menu would be great such as French toast or pancakes.... Needless to say that we, as a group, will not be returning unless there are major changes to the menu and fitout.
