Review Nottinghill Kitchen - Auckland Central

Rebecca KEENAN
Had breakfast here this morning. The New Yorker omelette was very good my friend had a vegetarian version of the big breakfast. Which was good except for the roti being bit dry. Good coffee and the a pot of tea. Nice and clean and good service with pleasant staff. A nice spot for breakfast or brunch.

This place is perfect for Brunch in the heart of Parnell shops. The ambience and decor reminds you of London cute cafes. We sat at the back side. The staff are very welcoming and service is great. We came in looking fod Pancakes but no cafes nearby had them. We walked in randomly to this place om Easter Sunday, We ordered French toast and coffee and asked if they can do Pancakes. The staff were so sweet they made Pancakes for us even though it was not on the menu. The portions were great. Coffee was just perfect. Thank you Notting Hill Kitchen team for your lovely hospitality.

Great food, great staff, nice calm atmosphere :) Had the french toast which was amazing with so much flavour, sweet and savoury all once, will definitely order that next time I visit.

Great lunch option at Parnell. Chorizo egg and New York omelette were very tasty. So much so that you want to back again and have the same thing. Relaxing ambience and friendlly staff just make your dining experience erso much better,

The best breakfast in Parnell. The food is always made fresh using quality produce. The owners take care and show pride. It’s reliable consistent and delicious. The coffee is awesome as well.

I stopped in for lunch on a relaxing Sunday afternoon and was excited to see they service Mojo Barossa Valley Shiraz which went wonderfully with the prawn tacos and Bombay fries. My lunch was delicious, the service was exceptional and my soy latte was excellent. It’s been ages since I’ve visited Nottinghill Kitchen and it was a Lo le return visit. Highly recommended with distinction!

We had the pleasure of having a delicious breakfast at Nottinghill Kitchen last Sunday. Firstly, I have to say the coffee was super hot and good- like another review said, I hate a lukewarm coffee. Our breakfasts were so nice- I could tell the food was made with love. Such a lovely eatery- will definitely be back again. The caramelised onion was THE BEST- thank you.

Excellent food. Try the spicy scrambled eggs with chorizo & the huge cabinet chicken pie. Yumm.

BIG recommend. Coffee Awesome!!!! Kind owner. I can see chefs put a lot of effort to make dips, sauces and side. Even cabinet food are great.

Outstandingly good as always, my only annoyance which is not the cafes fault.... is parents that have badly behaved children... who sadly spoil your dining experience....

We had a lovely lunch. The coffee was HOT! One of my pet peeves is lukewarm coffee so 10/10 there. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. We each had the Bacon Butty which was tasty, plentiful and arrived promptly. And an extra tick for the music!

We had a nice breakfast which was reasonably priced. Service was good and friendly. Coffee was average - very few cafes know how to make a proper cappuccino, all you get is a flat white with chocolate sprinkled on it, which was the case here. Music was very loud and we had to request it be turned down, which they did.

Breakfast and coffee were tasty and served quickly. Pleasant atmosphere.

Really disappointed with our meal today.<br/>I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Bacon and my partner ordered a the French Toast. <br/>The Eggs Benedict came out with a potato hash that was not hard or rounded and more of a slop and my eggs were cooked thoroughly and hard. <br/>It felt like I was drinking soup opposed to eating a meal. <br/>Wait staff failed to ask myself or partner how our meals were upon paying for the bill and was a rushed experience. <br/><br/>Really disappointed in this experience as I heard great things about this cafe.

Only stopped here to get a quick takeaway coffee but it seemed like a nice place and the barista was very friendly. They serve Orb Coffee which is one of my favorite coffee brands. Will be back here for a meal.

Absolutely love this cafe! I have been here a few times and the food never seems to disappoint! OMG the gluten free almond cake is to die for! Best Cabernet food I've seen in a cafe, worth every cent!

OMG, this place is so good. My Thai Kedgeree is under "Light Meal" section but it isn't light at all. It is also tasty, flavourful, and the presentation is so good. Value for money.<br/><br/>Service is so friendly, prompt. Everyone always smiles. The place looks clean and modern.<br/><br/>The only minor disappointment is that they don't open dinner time. Will I come back for more? Yes, I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

What I like about this place is that it's aims to be better than your average cafe <br/><br/>My fish and chips are suppose to be a light meal but they give 3 pieces of fish, the hot chips are big and chunky with curry spices on it. They changed this everyday dish to something different, love that they are trying something new <br/><br/>My missus didn't mind her frittata <br/><br/>Service is friendly <br/><br/>The place looks clean and modern <br/><br/>And there are giant jars of lollies and chocolate that you can help yourself too!<br/> <br/>"A" for trying to be different and succeeding! I was impressed

Always relaxed atmosphere and friendly family style service. Nothing is ever a bother and the food is quality. A great way to chill out for brunch

A great place to head for lunch - a selection of cabinet foods that are delicious (namely the breakfast baps and the variety of 'homemade' pies) <br/>The set up is tidy but could be more comfortable.

This place is simply the best breakfast in Parnell. Great service, very clean, friendly and grab a seat next to the fireplace! Nowhere compares on Parnell Rd.<br/><br/><br/>

Went here for brunch on a Saturday. The food and coffee were okay . Overall it was an okay experience. Not really a place id love to go back to but it was a nice one time thing.

We went here for brunch on Saturday, a short stroll up the hill from home. We were more in the mood for lunch and a drink than breakfast and quickly found what we wanted. I chose the cheeseburger with a glass of cloudy Bay bubbles and he had the smoked salmon open sandwiches and a side of Parmesan chips with 2 ciders. The venue itself is quite nice, we sat in the atrium area. We shared it all in the end and were both impressed. The display cabinet was full of tasty treats but we were both too full! The staff were friendly and the total bill was about $65. I've read the coffee is amazing, so we will be back Monday for that and I'd like to try the coconut porridge too. Looking forward to returning.

The local "go-to" place for me when needing a working lunch or coffee. Its larger than you think looking in from the street, as there is a back portion open to anyone which has around 4 more tables I think. <br/><br/>When you come in you will likely be greeted by a friendly staff member who will quickly bring you water once you have chosen your table.  <br/><br/>The menu has some interesting dishes on it, and I think it will have something for everyone. It is obviously quite influenced by British "cuisine".  In addition there is some very nice cabinet food - particularly their rolls. <br/><br/>The layout of the cafe can be a little tight sometimes, but generally it has a very pleasant environment.  If you can get them, the two large lounge chairs (on the right as you walk in) are a great place to people watch or read a book for an hour. <br/><br/>Coffee is very adequate, I do not recall ever having an issue with it.

A modern British cafe making the Parnell hill worth climbing.<br/><br/>What we ordered: Hash high Benny hill, brioche knot cheese burger, Thai kedgeree, Lamb Pie with fish salad side and orange almond cake.<br/><br/>The Food: The Hash high Benny hill was similar to what one may expect in an eggs benedict but with twists that differentiates it from the common ‘me too’ fare. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and went quite well with the hashed potato. If I were to be picky I’d say the potato could have been a tad more crispy but it was otherwise a very good dish with the pureed peas balancing the richness of the hollandaise sauce.<br/><br/>The Brioche knot burger was tasty and well executed whilst the Thai kedergree (similar to a risotto) was nice but could benefit with a wider use of ingredients. The lamb pie was absolutely scrumptious with the buttery pastry tasty to the very last crumb. The fish salad side dish was refreshing whilst undoubtedly a good source of protein and omega 3.<br/>The orange and almond cake was moist and flavorful with the yoghurt fruit compote adding a flavorful artistic flair.<br/><br/>Drinks: My friends flat white were so good she can’t stop raving about it but my iced coffee could perhaps do with an extra espresso shot.<br/><br/>The place and people:<br/>Everyone that works at Notting hill provides top notch service from very regular water refills to the care taken when presenting the food. The decor is modern and fresh with just a hint of British-ness.<br/><br/>Final verdict: A very nice cafe with a British twist on the top of Parnell. Despite the hyper-competitive region for cafe’s and eateries, Notting Hill is one that I would highly recommend.<br/><br/>Food 4* / Drinks 3.5*/ Service 5* / Ambiance 4* = 4*<br/><br/>Star Guide<br/>1* = Not recommended<br/>2* = Meh.. nah<br/>3* = You might like it more than us<br/>4* = Highly recommended<br/>5* = Absolutely must try<br/><br/>

Came here for brunch with 8months old bub, and we are very pleased that there is a separate area at the back with high chair. That way we won't feel too embarrassed if our child makes any noise. They have a good selection of food in the cabinet but also in the menu. We ordered fish and cured salmon both of which are cooked well. The coffee is not bad. A nice place for family.

I came here with some vouchers for coffee from Zomato's birthday party and really liked the atmosphere. It's quite bright and airy, thanks to large windows and a mirror on the wall, and perfect for a cosy catch-up or some reading indoors. <br/><br/>Coffee was really nice. I ordered a mocha, which came out in a Wellington-worthy large cup that were more for wrapping two hands around than just the one. It was more heavy on the coffee whereas the usual mocha is sweeter and chocolatey, but this is a good sign for caffeine addicts and useful for a strong afternoon pick-me-up. Personally I would have preferred a little more chocolate. The marshmallows melted in it a lot faster than other mochas I've had before though, and the creamy sweet texture of those was really nice. <br/><br/>They also do huge fries with the skin on. Would definitely recommend a try. They're more the chunky fluffy kind than the crisp thin type, almost like hot wedges except kind of better. The ketchup was particularly delicious with the chips.<br/><br/>Service was amazing the whole way through, and with really chatty and friendly people around you the coffee experience is just that much more enjoyable.
Love The Experience, Love The Brand.
Great service. Fab food. Fish and chips with indian hint. Simply lovey. I had the Thai kedgeree. Delicate flavours, good portion and I felt the right texture. Not too dry not too wet. Yummy.

Best little spot in Parnell! The food is awesome and the service is always great. Joe and the team are so friendly and know what we want every time we go back. We usually go in for breakfast, but the rest of the food looks delicious as well. Can't recommend highly enough :)

I really enjoyed the coffee. It was delicious. My friend and I had two lunch items from the menu. The burger is beautifully presented. The Thai risotto dish is huge. But lacks in variety of ingredients. Too much rice not enough of much else. However back to the coffee. I'm ready for another cup. Mmmmmm

Love this café! Parnell has a lot to choose from in terms of cafés but this is my favourite by a long way. The food, the coffees and choice of teas and the service, the service is exceptional.  Friendly from the start, a smile and verbal welcome and consistent follow-up throughout my stay.  Simple things, checking how everything is, refilling my water glass (so many cafés forget to do this). The setting is open, you can talk without worrying about the people at the table next to you listening.  The menu is great, and often adapting, and the cabinet food fresh every day.  There is so much going for this café, but the service and staff there are amazing.  Very tempted to give this a 5, actually I will!

Service was a little slow to start with but nothing that couldn't be well forgiven by two perfectly poached eggs and great black pudding, all beautifully presented with tasty relish, pesto and aoili on the side. Coffee also very good. Will definitely return.

This place has got better and better really enjoy going here now. Some great meals on their small menu, having a small menu is a good thing in this situation. Food is quick, service is pleasant and setting in the wonderful Heards building.

Great little place in Parnell. You can sit inside the atrium with the brilliant skylight overhead whether rain or shine. I love that part. <br/><br/>More points to love is their food. I'm a fan of mushrooms as it is but they do an oh-so-delicious sauce with the Portobello Road. I tried my best to soak up every last bit with the bread :) <br/><br/>Didn't get to try the food cabinet as I could barely finish my own plate but it looked ever so tempting. Must come back next time to try ;)

Very nice place. Great service, tasty and fresh food that is well done and doesn't try too hard. Very spacious, light, airy and fresh spaces--including the front room, and also ground floor of the atrium. I've had both breakfast, and also a couple of the sandwiches (a roast beef and a ham with pickle relish). All very nice. <br/>And they have WIFI and power outlets. <br/><br/>Not yet tasted but look great are some salads--which look refreshingly ample and varied.
