Review The Lula Inn - Auckland Central

What an Awesome place! The vibe is amazing. I would say it was loud when we were there but I guess cause many Events on that day. Beautiful food. Definitely visiting again .

Holy smokes! Best buttermilk fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. I’d go as far as saying the best fried chicken hands down. With a beautiful view overlooking the boats nestled in the marina by the maritime museum, Lula Inn is perfect for your next dinner date. My mum and I absolutely loved the service here and the staff were so kind when I rang to say I was running late. Extra for extras: Lula is a Joylab member so you can spend or earn joylab rewards points here. 10% of what you spend goes back into rewards eg $67 = $6.70 rewards.

It's a great bottomless brunch, with boozy mimosas and a fun atmosphere. The meal was nice too. Don't expect a sophisticated, fine dining experience as that's not the point! For an exciting, fun, let your hair down brunch, The Lula Inn absolutely ticked the boxes!

We booked a table here for my cousin's birthday on Saturday 1st of April. Our table was at the back near the yellow Lula Inn light sign. Our server was so wonderful, he was kind, patient and so lovely to us. Thank you to him from us. And the food was delish omg the pizza was insane, so fresh and comforting. A very nice experience 💕

We went there on a Thursday night. Live band was great. They played all requests. Service was awesome and the bar people made delicious cocktails. My favourite was their Espresso Martini. Would definitely go back again.

Server James was the best person out! He was good vibes! Super respectful! And made our experience A1! We thoroughly enjoyed James service and company can someone give this person a raise !!!!

Had a fabulous evening here for our work Christmas party, I have been lucky enough to have been to a few events at Lula and each time has been a great experience. The cocktail making class was a fun and playful activity for my hens do and the food served was delicious. I’ve also enjoyed a bottomless brunch here, which was so well organised.

Really great atmosphere and decor. Amazing views off the back deck. There are lots of local craft beers and international beers on tap, along with a great range of delicious cocktails. There was a live band playing when we were here, and they were really talented and entertaining. Great venue.

Best place for bottomless brunch, very catering always attending the table for drinks, Tyson was the man. Food was banger. Would definitely visit again when we come back to Auckland.

What a Beautiful Interior! Stunning views of the Harbour. Expansive space for indoor and outdoor seating, great spaces for big, small and medium groups, Excellent indoor/outdoor flow and an amazing vibe. Exactly what was required for my sister-in-law's Pre-Birthday Girls Only Brunch. Thank you!

Great place, we were served by Lilly she needs a pay rise tbh she was by far my favourite waiter with her great customer service making you feel welcomed as soon as we sat down and always checking in on us. Will definitely be back in the future :)

Bottomless Beer, Bubbles & Dumplings is such a great time! You can book a table for up to 10 people for 90 mins - There’s also live music on Thursdays and you can request songs for the band to sing.

The food was amazing. Lots of food choices and everything tasted good. Grilled fish, popcorn cauliflower, pizza and prawn dumplings were spot on. We had a group booking outside which had a nice view. Had a great time. The only downside was that there is limited mocktail menu and I had to pay cocktail price for wanting a drink from there without alcohol in it. It still tasted good but perhaps there needs to be more mocktail range or not overcharging to make it without alcohol.

We booked a table for 6 on a Sunday night and were seated in a booth. Service was great, Angela and Hannah were patient, accommodating, attentive and friendly. We ordered the platter which was amazing, a couple of pizzas which were also really nice, two vegan dishes (cabbage stack and tofu), the fish and pork belly mains. The two vegan dishes were nice but not amazing and the pork belly crackling was not that pleasant to eat. Everything else was great though! We also took in a cake to celebrate a birthday and they brought that to our table as well as plates, forks etc. Very professional and friendly staff with yummy and reasonably priced food!

Dasha is one of the most amazing waiters I’ve come across during my time working in hospo. She is an incredible waitress with a great vibe to keep everything alive. Request Dasha for any private event or even a bottomless brunch! Her hospitality is next level and she puts her heart into making your table happy! The bottomless food is good. Obviously, as a bottomless experience typically is, is fine, this one is better than normal - but the food is typical. I have nothing bad to say about the food or the drink, but the service from Dasha seriously brings any experience to life!!!
chelsea ellis
We had Dasha as our waitress and she was amazing! Such a lovely girl and always made us feel looked after - made the Lula experience great. We will be back ☺️

A warm friendly place with a great selection of drinks and food.

My friends and I went in for a bottomless brunch and our server Cat was absolutely amazing! She was so accommodating and welcoming, 10/10 😊

Came here for a birthday gathering. It was pretty busy as it was a Friday night. Great service, I was going to order a drink a bit later on but the bartender offered me a glass of water with a lemon slice so I’d still have a drink in the meantime. The pizza and the sides were pretty tasty too.
Emma Drake
Great vibe there. Plus the staff there are awesome! Shout out to Tamar for being so patient and bubbly girl!! So awesome

Chrissy was an amazing waitress, was smiling the whole time, cracking jokes and having a laugh. It made us feel so comfortable and welcome!
Monique.rapson
Went to bottomless brunch yesterday, service was absolutely amazing! Chrissy could not have been better.
Hannah Howells
Beautiful seating area, especially outside on the water. Bottomless brunch was great value for money, although the portions are very small (when drinking lots of prosecco that’s not always a great thing). Service was friendly and fast.
Chryslyn Perkins
Our waitress Morgan was very friendly and attentive! The food was great!

Although this place is situated in a fantastic location overlooking Auckland's Waitemata harbour, unfortunately in my first time coming here I did not have a great experience. The service and the food was not up to scratch, and I fear this place gets packed as there really aren't any other options for a bottomless brunch.Lula's Inn does gather a lot of attention and is often extremely busy as it has a great location and offers a very reasonable price for bottomless brunch. The inside is nice and simple with a seaside feel which definitely compliments the awesome view. However, the view and the aesthetic of the place remain the best things here. The service in my first experience was not the best. Firstly the waitress that we had did not seem confident in pouring and would often compile all of our plastic wine glasses at the end of the table and pour them in one lot taking a long time as there was a large layer of foam each time... Which at one point took her 15 minutes to pour for 10 people. Another issue that we had with the service was a rather major one we thought in the grand scheme of a bottomless brunch. We were left with only drinks for most of the 2 hours, and with around 15 minutes left the food comes out. I really do feel that the food should be coming out as soon as possible, especially when there is that much alcohol involved. The staff also seemed annoyed when we asked how long the food would be which was rather disappointing. Once the food did finally arrive, it was unfortunately not the greatest. My partner got the pannacotta which was not set, making it not the best. I got the mince on toast and the bread was completely sodden. This was all very disappointing after waiting such a long time as well. Unfortunately across the table there were other issues as well, not just our dishes.Although reasonably priced the whole experience did not seem worth the money. Unfortunately the food was not up to a good enough standard and the service was definitely lacking. I personally don't have any desire to go back.

Great service by Chrissy. She made the bottomless brunch and was upbeat and happy the whole time. She made note of specific dietary requirements and made sure we have full drinks throughout the day. Will definitely recommend

Had bottomless brunch. Our server Chrissy was fun and friendly, kept the whole day going seamless and deserves a raise! I also really liked the banana bread 🤤

WE LOVEEEEDD ANITA!! She was so awesome. I am a manager myself and she was accommodating and had great customer service!

We came for the $40 bottomless special, our waitress Ellen was amazing! Always prompt with more dumplings and alcohol and happy to explain which was which a couple times to reassure the vegetarian of the group. Had an awesome time and will absolutely be back!
Esa-Jayne Peika
Anita & Anika gave us the best service for our group, they were always smiling and so lovely! Get you a waitress/server who delivers 100%, of course the food and drinks were great for bottomless brunch but their customer service was honestly the best and something ill remember for when I visit next time! Also the DJ Yolanda Malentino was so good, requested Hip Hop and RnB and she came through - loved the layout of the place, the food and drinks were great and the service was overall such a great experience! Have already told so many people how awesome it is here, definately reccommend!
Dave Koefoed
Went for the $40 all you can eat dumplings and beer or prosecco, great value for mo e, will definitely go back.

Anneke was a beautiful waitress who gave us above and beyond customer service. Will come back again!

I am so impressed by the service we received by Brendon today!!! He pays attention to detail and his customer service is seamless and natural, I felt taken care of throughout our visit and he is super fun 💞 I would definitely recommend coming to Lulas xox

The service from our waitresses Sophie and Aneke was excellent. We also enjoyed the food.
Doug Wheeler
Special shoutout to Sophie for the exceptional service!

I booked a table for an occasion for 12 people... during the organising process I had over looked basically the most important detail - the date which I even confirmed! On the date I had thought I had booked we turned up .. much to my shock it was the day after! - this error was 110% my fault and I felt horrible (I am an event manager by trade - so this isn't something that happens), but Jamie took us under his wing and went above and beyond to manage to fit us in - with a smile!- we had a lovely outlook he even accommodated an elderly guest so that she could get down to her table without a fuss. Once we were seated the service was prompt and we were always looked after (not one of the occasions where you get shunned because you are squeezed in).
I just want to take the time to thank you all! Especially Jamie & Anita. Good hospitality to me is going above and beyond whether it's the little things or something big like this one. You all should be very proud of the service you provide and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for others in the future - I will definitely be back again once I have got over my embarrassment! 100x Thank you
Briar Grace-Tyler
You have a waterfront restaurant and sell frozen pork pieces on rice. It is unacceptable and your chef should be ashamed. In all honestly I have had better meals from the BP petrol station.
Dave Sirikientong
just now

Had dinner this evening. Was nice and quiet with our table of 8 and 4 other tables on the water facing area. Had to wait 55 minutes for the food - which came out entrees and mains all at the same time. Felt sorry for the young waiter that had to apologize to 3 separate tables that got up and left before their food arrived (all 3 had over an hour wait) quite shocking from an establishment on the viaduct you would expect top notch restaurant qualities but can't even cope on a quiet Tuesday night. Apart from the nice view, food was below average very disappointed as it was my brother's graduation dinner. Really don't enjoy giving bad reviews, won't be back.
Janine Kaminski
The fungi pizza was simple but absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was incredible and they kindly offered us complimentary fries as our food was a little late :)

Been here twice, had to wait a while for the food both times on Friday and Saturday night. The service is kind and lovely.

Had a group dinner booked there for a celebration with set menu. One of the menu was a sirloin steak in which most people ordered, 35 minutes later they were served, but all cooked to medium/well-done.

When asked why that is the case, we were informed for a group order they can only mass cook medium steak so I asked why we weren't told when they took an order or at least come back and told us before cooking it, they said they didn't know. Could simply return the food but we didn't want to wait another hour for all the food to be re-cooked.

For a restaurant that charges $35 a plate, I definitely expect a better communication between the chef and front-of-house.

Hopefully our next visit will be a much more pleasant experience if we even visit again.

Who wouldn’t get excited for bottomless dumplings! Came here on a Thursday night with the work crowd for a $40 all you can eat 90 min feast which included beer or bubbles. The evening started off well (not) as two glasses of Prosecco went out of the poor waitress’ hold and onto the floor & our coats. Things only went up from there though as we settled alongside the water, near a roaring fire, and tucked into some chow. The food was a bit bland to be honest and needed some chilli heat, but there were a good variety of prawn, mushroom and vege dumplings, as well as meat options for my companions. The tofu bao was underwhelming, just needed a bit more filling. Still, good value for money and a fun experience. Lula Inn has a fun atmosphere and cute decor. We were all pretty happy chappies!

Came here for dinner on a saturday night so had to wait a while longer for our food to arrive than normal. Other than that, the food was fresh & flavorful. The manager was great and provided very good customer service! Probably wouldn’t come back due to such a limited menu.

My friend and I went to The Lula Inn today for lunch using first table.

The wait staff were extremely friendly. We ordered the karaage chicken, bao bun (chicken and pork), roti with butter chicken sauce, market fish ceviche and the cacciatore pizza. We were initially thinking of ordering the platter but the waitress was honest and told us that the platter is more suited for a table of four. When we saw another table order the platter, we definitely agreed with her!

A condition with using first table at Lula Inn is that we had to order one beverage each. I ordered the pineapple refresher while my friend ordered the doris plum. Both drinks were refreshing for a nice warm day.

The karaage chicken has to be one of the best I've tried in Auckland, the dipping sauce was phenomenal. The roti was alright and the butter chicken sauce was what you would expect, a standard butter chicken (with no meat, just sauce). My friend enjoyed his chicken boa bun, unfortunately my boa bun decided to stick to the steam basket and the pork was a bit dry, luckily the butter chicken sauce helped with the dryness. The market fish ceviche was again refreshing for a warm day. The pizza was faultless, there was plenty of cheese and meat but the impressive part was the base. The pizza base was extremely soft and delicious.

At around 1 pm we noticed the waitress switching menus out, I asked her if we should order our dessert now but she told us to potentially wait till we've finished eating. When we were done I asked her about dessert again but she said they've swapped to their bar menu which doesn't have a dessert option. So, if I was to fault Lula Inn, this would probably be the only fault, the menu swapping.

Overall, the price was good however this was after 50%. Highly highly recommend their karaage chicken!
Brandon Huang
Good atmosphere! The pizza was decent (although the bottom of their pizza oven needs a good scrub out) and the happy hour drinks (at least the mojito) were great. Only complaint is the price, but if it’s a company event, why not?
Charlotte
Best place in Auckland for bottomless brunch but not a big fan of the everyday menu. The menu changes often but it’s not as good as it was a year ago. The cocktails & the service are great, especially Abbey :)
Tasteful Seconds By Kyrsta Lynn
Went here for the bottomless brunch with a group of friends. We all had a great time. However, the service was quite slow and the meal was not necessarily as large as we would have liked it to be for how much alcohol we were consuming. If I were to go back to the bottomless brunch I would have a little meal beforehand as the meal itself is not very filling. However, the bloody marys were quite good and the mimosas were generous! Nice to be able to find a bottomless mimosa spot in Auckland.
Reuben Bray
The service at The Lula Inn was incredible. Very fun and attentive staff who really seemed like they loved their job! The platter was delicious and I will be coming back over and ovee again! Atmosphere and band made a 5/5 a 6/5!!!
Vegesaur
A few veggie/vegan options on the menu, however I don't rate them very highly. I ordered the Vegan Burger, and the Popcorn Cauliflower. The burger was ok (medium sized), but the cauliflower was so bad. It was just raw, chopped up cauliflower, with a sprinkle of seasoning and a sauce. At $15, I was not happy with it. The drinks were ok, the staff were ok (although they forgot to order our coffee until we reminded them after 20mins) It wasn't very busy when we arrived. I sadly won't be going back again. Shame, as it looks pretty from the outside.

Overall a delightful experience.

The pickles with the fried chicken matched perfectly. The steak was prepared nicely too with delicious vegetables, even the Brussel sprouts were yummy. The curry was too watery tho, so flavour not as dense as a nice curry should be.

Service: 4/5
Environment: 4.5/5
Presentation: 4/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 5/5
Price per person: $20-$40

We booked a team lunch to enjoy the Restaurant Month deals. Despite confirming the deal availability at the time of booking, we were told that the deal is unavailable because they ran out of ingredients the day before. If they knew a group of 10 people were coming together specifically for Restaurant Month, they had plenty of time before the 12:30pm booking to prepare. Service wasn't great (mixed up drinks order too) and food quality was poor for mains that are $25-$30. Overall very unpleasant experience & none of us will return.
Emma Judd
Loved everything about this place! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious. The Lulas Benedict was one of the best I have tried with the seeded toast really making it. The Vanilla bloom cocktail was nice and re freshing and was made to perfection. Such a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. 10/10

Went here for dinner last weekend for my birthday. Pre booked and mentioned the occassion (which they ask for when booking) which proved to be a waste since the staff didn't do anything for it. Ouch. American waitress knew nothing about the menu, drinks took 25 minutes at a time to come out. Interior is beautiful, but was disappointed.
Anna Chan
Had bottomless brunch here for my birthday. Wow, it was such a great experience and great value for money! Loved the decor and the friendliness of the waitresses. If you get Sunday brunch it comes with breakfast. My breakfast was divine and the unlimited mimosa were a crowd pleaser! Can't wait to return!
Crackerjacker
Have been here a few times and each time I come there has always been a problem. Once i came with my friends and none of the food came out at the same time and waited about 20min before we all got out own foods. Also ordered some meat and it was just fat, barely any meat which was disappointing and another time the staff was rather rude to us. The food is generally good but prices are average to high for what it is
Amorita Maharaj
Jamming atmosphere, friendly and wonderful service from the staff, great music, ample seating space and lovely waterfront views. Love their cocktail range and taste. Highly recommend that bar for large groups and on a sunny clear day ⭐️
Ashley
One star for now because I haven’t tried the food yet. You know why I haven’t tried the food yet? Because they completely forgot about us and instead started to prioritise other parties.

Subject to change once I taste the food (if I ever get a chance to...).
Daniel Ellis
Chrissy was an amazing waitress she was fantastic and kept us filled up and made us smile every time. Definitely come here again if shes the waitress
Chan Can Eat
Been here a few times.
Working lunches, bottomless brunch, drinks, dinner.....
The shots attached are from the bottomless brunch, which is great value and the food.... well, it’s okay.... but let’s be honest - who’s going for the food?
They give you these free little shortbread thingies to fulfil their liquor licence requirements while you wait for you brunch.... which hey, I’m no opposed to.
All in all, if you’re looking for a catch up with mates some okay drinks and some average food, it’s great value.
Dumba
Came here for drinks after dinner so haven’t tried the good. Atmosphere is great, and the live music is amazing. Bar staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to go after work.
Mana Katsukawa Otimi
Came here with friends today. Lovely atmosphere, enjoyed my bao bun and pizza BUT the service was slow and there weren’t many people there. We ordered our drinks and they came out fine but my friends ordered their drinks a bit later 20 minutes later our mains came out but they didn’t have their drinks yet 🤦🏽‍♀️ we asked “can we have the rosè” 3 times before someone actually brang it out. 3 of my friends got the chicken schnitzel burger with no sriracha but to please add mayo instead. The burger came out with no sauce 🤦🏽‍♀️ another one of my friends had a cheese burger and the meat looked raw not medium rare. They took it back and took it off the bill and tried to justify that it was medium rare but it definitely did not look it + the smell was off. I don’t think it is worth $20 for a burger to be honest. We would get on and off vibes from the lady serving us, we would question if she was mad at us which made us feel really uncomfortable. There were mistakes made today which could have been prevented. Like letting us know at the start of our meal when foods aren’t available. I didn’t get or get asked if I wanted a receipt, one of the waitresses spilled slaw on another one of my friends shoes. I think it’s a nice place but needs improvement
Taylor Murphy
The food was extremely subpar. Ordered a bao bun and half of it was stuck to the steaming basket, there was also only a bite size of chicken in the whole bun. There were hardly any people and the food was not good at all.
Ang Sarap
The last time I drank gin was when I was still in university, it was a perfect drink of choice during the days because it’s cheap and it contains a high alcohol content which means you can get drunk with the less amount of moolah at hand, we even mix it with our beers if we feel like having beers. Twenty plus years later I never knew I will have that drink again because it was nasty, we just bought them before because we don’t have money so I told myself I will never buy it when I get a job but here I am doing the opposite.
Shanley Jayne
Came for a bottomless brunch with some friends, it was a great time but the first girl who served us didn’t have a great vibe- we were constantly having to ask for our order & the “bottomless” mimosas were rarely topped up. Although the second waitress who swapped near the end was great, on top of our drinks & great with conversation
Anna Botica
Came here yesterday with a few friends it took a while someone to come serve us and my friends went up twice to ask them if we can have menus eventually a girl came and apologised gave us the menu and while we were looking at our menu she started complaining about having to do a extra shift which was very unprofessional really disappointed coming here I don’t think I would recommend it anyone I think the only thing I liked was it was a good value for money...
Susan Herbert
We went for mother's day dinner, maybe the staff had a long exhausting day but the food
was disappointing for all 7 of us, I won't go into a long diatribe as this website said to be kind but we won't be back. The waitress was excellent so not all was lost.
Desmond Chan
Went for lunch with two of my work colleagues. We had views towards the water and the Maritime Museum. The staff are really friendly and made us feel welcome. The meals were all nicely presented as you can see from the photos. However I'd like to point out that they were all a little salty, especially the Fish & Chips. In saying that, they are not too bad. Overall I'm happy with this place and will definitely come back again.
Rita Hababa
I went in for my mums birthday, this was our first time coming. The service was honestly rubbish, they were no help at all. Came at 1 and ordered the lamb shoulder for 3 people and got told that they sold out, however were open at 11:30...got given a pizza that we didn’t order however got accused of ordering it? The appetizer came out with the food as well which was quite disappointing seeing as we were hungry and expected the appetizer before the mains. Service was horrible however the food made up for it, don’t think I’ll be coming back unless it’s for drinks.
Cushla Foley
Best bottomless birthday brunch celebrating for Nikki Ramage! 4.5 stars but only because the pancakes were disappointing, I had to order fries to compensate. Worth the $45 for the drinking in 2 hours alone! Staff were friendly and attentive, good music and a great time had!
Simone Mulitalo
The bottomless brunch here is AMAZING! You could not ask for a better day out, delicious food and unlimited mimosas for 2 hours with a beautiful view. Everytime my friends and I come here it's such a fun experience! Would 100% reccomend this place for group events! Also staff are amazing!
Claire Crosbie
Delicious vegan food, especially the vegan sticky date pudding. And great to see more vegan options. Amazing service from our lovely waitresses Abbey and Amy :)
Dxlche
Came with a girlfriend for a catch up dinner. We ordered cocktails, a large pizza to share and their potato crisps. Both of the cocktails were pleasant and easy to drink: the Rosalee Fling (gin) and Vanilla Bloom (vodka). The prawn and pancetta pizza was very cheesy and had a generous spread of tomato on the base. The chips were a nice concept with the onion dip.
Thomas Wotton
Morgan, Abby and Maddie all fantastic waitresses made us feel incredibly welcome. Service was next to
Perfect, definitely going to bring the family here next time. Thanks team at Lula Inn!
Sarah Bennett
Awful staff, awful food, awful service. Staff refuse to serve anyone late for a booking but also refuse to actually tell you that you can't get service - they just take your glass and walk away. Service is so lax that patrons spend tens of minutes waiting for a refill - so the "bottomless" part is a flat out lie as they clearly dont want you to drink more than two glasses. The atmosphere is awful and the whole place is dirty. Food is disgusting with no presentation and tastes like a three year old made it. Save your money. Go anywhere but here.

Came here for Saturday event of bottomless brunch with the girls. $65 per person. It was alright in my opinion. Lots of carbs (hashes, danish, croissant and different kind of eggs). It has a nice view of the water and we girls get to catch up over lots of bubbles.
Peiwenquek
Great ambience and the live band on Friday was marvelous! The crowd there seem to be people who really enjoy music. We get to enjoy our night out and it was definitely worth another visit.
Ashleigh Chappell
Went to The Lula Inn for dinner with some friends. The place didn’t seem to be extremely busy but was told there would be a wait on food, which resulted in the food coming out in the most odd intervals. A table of 5 and we all got our fries, sides and mains at different times. Once we complained the staff we very apologetic, liaised with the kitchen who sent us free dumplings and food as an apology.

During the midst of the waiting we sipped on some pretty delicious cocktails, but the winner was surprisingly the mock tails. Well presented (insta worthy) and all the flavours were amazing.

Have previously been here for 2 bottomless brunches with friends and had THE BEST time, so would conclude that this is more of a place to go for drinks as opposed to an intimate meal.

The food portions are also small, good for sharing and nibbling over drinks but definitely didn’t fill us up as a table going out for a dinner.

Staff 5/5, Food 3/5, Drinks 5/5.

Abbie Laidlaw
Food was late, cold and burnt. Also was a 20 minute wait when a friend had to get her meal swapped as the first one was inedible and covered in fat. Staff were lovely though.
Paige Facoory
We had Sophie as the most amazing server- such a great experience. Great selection of drinks and vibe at the venue. Would recommend - great if you have a large group for a celebration
Nina Fifi
Came here for bottomless brunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. Atmosphere was great, music was pumping and the decor is very insta worthy. Food was disappointing. I ordered the eggs benny and it came with hardly any hollandaise. Service was even worse. There was a long wait between mimosa top ups and the waitress seemed to be avoiding us when we attempted to get her attention. Giving a rating of 3 instead of 2 as we complained to the manager and he provided a suitable remedy. Will visit again to give them another go.
Caitlin Ryan
Fun as always. Morgan, who looked after us, was an absolute peach. Great place, vibe and fizz. The dj was playing tunes that suited the day. 10/10

Went in for lunch this afternoon after reading some decent reviews of The Lula Inn.
The place was quite empty and had plenty of tables, we chose to sat on the high bench looking over the view. Wish the chairs were abit higher as the bench was to high for the chairs which made it uncomfortable when it came to eating our food.

For food we ordered a large chicken pizza to share and chicken wings. The pizza was delicious, but cant say the same for the wings as they looked stale and not very visually pleasing to eat. The wings weren’t seasoned nicely, only had these two sauces which tasted like thickened soy sauce drizzled on top. They were cooked well from inside however.

I highly enjoyed my frozen strawberry cider which was recommended by one of the waitress who was taking the order. It tasted better than the normal chilled cider bottles.

The location is amazing as well as the interior, would definitely come back to try something different next time.
Bayley
Love The Lula! Our waitress Morgan was an absolute gem. Humble pours, never had to sit on an empty glass for more than a minute. Food is quite small but who is really there for that anyway.
NaomiRae
Came here for a bottomless brunch with a group (10+ people) and we were quite underwhelmed... the atmosphere was great, but the food took over an hour to come out after ordering and the mimosas were a very weak (mostly juice...) The worst thing was the food! Most of the meals had poached eggs and almost every egg on the table was way overdone! Really disappointing considering the price. Definitely won’t be back.
Wapatino
The space is very versatile and you can choose from sitting in a water facing seat or a trendy indoor space. The service is good and the place has a nice atmosphere which turns into a bit of a party after hours on Fridays with a live band. This place is conveniently located in the viaduct. I’d go back to try their popular bottomless brunch!

Absolutely loved the dreamy, chic ambiance! So much so that my birthday is not til the next three months and I already booked a brunch date with my girlfriends 💫💖💖 It was an eyegasmic experience with friendly staff, and good food.
Lizzie
The bottomless brunch is so fun! Great vibes, loud music and The mimosas are free-flowing and waitresses are attentive. Had heard the food wasn’t that great so was greatly surprised with the bolognaise on toast which was substantial and quite yum! My friend got the pancakes though and they were cold. The time goes so fast though, wish we could have stayed for longer, such a great time!

After waiting ages to be seated even though we booked, we had rude staff that couldn’t even try act happy to be there, she then mucked up 2 orders out of all 5. They then returned with burnt bread and eggs that looked disgusting to be sent back a second time. Bad service, terrible sickly food and staff that couldn’t care less that they constantly keep stuffing it up.
Airini
Great drinks and ambiance. But not a place to eat for dinner. My husband had a work function here and unfortunately, the food served to us was very disappointing. Entree was average, could be better main and the dessert, most of us got a watery and gluey creme brulee.

I went to the Lula Inn for the first time today (17/11/18). Their bottomless brunch is great and a good way to spend some time if you’re a tourist. I absolutely loved the experience and can guarantee I’ll be back for more! My good, bad and ugly as follows:

Good:
- The atmosphere is amazing!
- They’ve got a nice tropical theme going on inside and the staff are great.
- I love that staff were able to accommodate our group’s requests!
- The views if you get a seat by the windows or outside.
- The food!
- The bottomless mimosas!

Bad:
- It’s way too loud.

Ugly:
- The food came out about 40-minutes before our 2-hour seating came to an end and we were starving by this point.

As you can see, there wasn’t anything major that went wrong. For the most part it was a fun experience and I can’t wait to go there again!
I came here yesterday and had the $20
Fish and Chips, the food was lovely however I feel the portion was a tiny bit small, however the view definitely made up for it!
Corina Willey
Thank you Morgan for being an epic host!
Great venue.
We had an engagement party here. Lulas proved perfect. Thank you very much!
Recommended to all.
Jacqui Anderson
Came here for the bottomless brunch, the staff were polite and I got the eggs Benedict - the food was okay. Good fun, would recommend if you wanna drink a few mimosas and let loose on a Saturday. Overall good value for money!

Beautiful dining environment, with lots of greenery’s, and overlooking the stunning Harbour.

They make lovely cocktails. The serving size of the drinks were generous too.

We ordered a couple of starters to share. The pork belly bites were very nice: tender with a flavorful sticky sauce. The duck pancake was also interesting: tasted of a combination of wasabi & peanuts, I did find the duck a bit dry though. The Sichuan pepper squid was also pleasant, but the flavour was definitely not Sichuan, but again more of a wasabi flavour.

For mains, husband enjoyed his chicken burger with a tangy buttermilk dressing. My pizza base was not exactly crispy like how I like them, but the four cheese topping was delicious.

Service for the food was quite slow though. All in all, their cuisine is more kiwi/European, nothing too special for one to specifically visit; but definitely a great place to grab drinks after work :)
Rosanne Choy
Came in tonight with friends for friend’s birthday. Tried the chicken schnitzel sandwich and snapper roll. Snapper roll tasted crispy and the sauce was a great match with the fish. Chicken schnitzel was crispy too but didn’t have as much flavour as the snapper. Burger buns were toasted nicely. Environment and staff were nice.
Shelley Bedggood
Enjoyed the bottomless brunch with friends. Very pumping atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon, they have a DJ and the music is very loud. The drinks were flowing, nonstop mimosas for 2hours. I had the salmon hash it was good. The focus here is really the drinking and the environment not so much the food, as you only get one small meal for $45.
Shannon Griffin
Amazing food, amazing service ! We had a really down to earth waitress Sarah who was more than happy to help in anyway.

I’ve been here twice now and I’ll definitely be coming back many more times
Rachel D'Souza
Sarah from Lula inn was amazing! Would definitely recommend coming here for brunch! Especially with her as the waitress amazing service! Her energy was amazing
Maika Vukula
Lula in is amazing. Sarah is amazing bartender. Super friendly and awesome at her job! Absolutely recommend. The salmon potatoes hash is so yum, definitely get that one.
Marggie Pascua
Went here for brunch this weekend for the bottomless brunch, amazing booze! Kept it going. Love it. The food was okay, not very filling but the mimosas are great! Views of the harbour was great too especially on a sunny day
Nikita Kumar
Really nicely set up place, with a great atmosphere. Went here for bottomless brunch and had a great time, drinks were following and staff made sure to constantly be topping up our glasses.

Biggest letdown however.. THE FOOD!! Very small portions and average flavours. It’s okay brunch food but so so small!!! And for the amount you’re drinking etc you’d expect the portions to be slightly bigger to fill you up more. We had to go to another place on the viaduct to get “lunch” because the food was not filling at all.
Central Snacks
Had a awesome time at the Lula inn, great service from our host Nina . The food was spectacular and the drinks were flowing at our bottomless brunch. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and family! Cheers
Thanks to Sophie H for her attention.. good food... and bottomless drinks! First experience of Lula Inn. Jam packed with people, great eclectic music mix. Recommend the experience you will never run out of drinks and never need to ask for more
Emma Dacre
The Bottomless Brunch...awesomeness! Especially with great staff serving you like Sophie H. I had the salmon hash with eggs and was yummy. We will be back 😁
Zac
Great place for a tasy meal!! Food was devine and great customer service! Very nice and clean! Great location and the food was presented beautifully!! Highly recommend this place!
Lana
Came here with a group of 8 for the bottomless brunch, it was so good and heaps of fun in a lovely environment! The food options were great and staff were fast and friendly. They only thing that let this down from a 5 star is that they only had two types of drinks that were bottomless, more options would make this 5 star for sure!!
Ashleigh Camille
My friends and I had an amazing brunch on a Bottemless Bruch Mimosa day! Thank you and a big shout out to Nadya, our waitress! Top-notch service! Thank you for your service 💓💓
Tabitha
The service was good, the location was great, and the Pizza's were really good. The kids menu was average but the potions were large and good value. The other food was terrible, the seafood chowder came with hard unidentified lumps and stale bread, and fritters were dry and salty, they were what I imagine salted rabbit poo would taste like.
Kieran
Your glass of Prosecco does not have the chance to get empty.
Through the entire 2 hour brunch, I don't think my glass was even half empty at any one point.
The staff manning the floor are very attentive and skilled at keeping you topped up.

This is life and death in a bottle.
This is dangerously good.
This is the Bottomless Brunch at The Lula Inn.
This will become an Auckland institution.

P.s Leave your light-weight friends at home as they will embarrass you.
Toakase Vulangi
Had a great time at the bottomless brunch. The food, service and atmosphere were great - and a special mention to Sophie T for the great service!
Tiana Lambert
My friends and I came to celebrate a 21st birthday, and this was the perfect setting! Steph and Sophie were great hostess’s and very hospitable! Would definitely recommend to friends 😀

Frida and Kim were amazing gave us wonderful service. Only thing I could comment on was music was a bit loud for the time of day otherwise I was pretty happy.
Niki
Celebrated my sister's 25th here and we had wonderful service from Kim and Frida. It was my first time getting brunch here and we will definitely visit again!
Sasha Soupen
I've been here twice. I had my 25th here and the service was absolutely fantastic. Kim and Frida were our servers and they were absolutely fantastic and really friendly and sweet even though the place was absolutely slammed. Thank you girls so much!
Sophie McGuinness
Such a great time, Chelsea and Steph were awesome servers!! They kept us well fed and watered and were so lovely! 11/10 would bottomless brunch again
Jade Alexander
We had the most amazing time. Beautiful location, with amazing food and drinks. We were served by Kim (best waitress ever) for bottomless brunch! Could not recommend this place more and hopefully you get Kim as your waitress
Katey Thomas
Such a great time. Our waitress Nina was so accommodating and lovely to talk to. Would definitely recommend! This is a great option for those wanting a girls day out/hens pre do/birthday etc
Samantha Page
Always so much fun for a birthday weekend. Today was especially great as the sun was shining and Kim our waiter was flippen epic! 5 stars for that hon.
Randy Slocum
Morgan is an exceptional waitress and absolutely made our experience. Would go there again as long as she's the person waiting on us. Also bottomless brunch was a gift from the skies letting us send off our friend to London appropriately.
Sarah Flynn
We were served by Morgan today and she was the loveliest waitress! At the start of the day we were served a bit slow by a different waitress but when we mentioned it to Morgan she took us under her wing and her customer service was impeccable.
Emma Fulop
Had Morgan as our second waitress. The first was a little slow and a bit rude but Morgan turned our whole experience around. She was so lovely and engaging and made us feel like we really welcome! Had good banter and an all round great chick!!! Thanks again Morgan
Rebecca Patel
Just finished my third time at bottomless brunch and honestly the best time I've had here. Sophie and Nadia were honestly the most amazing waitresses. So lovely and friendly perfect for the atmosphere and what you offer for bottomless brunch.
Baz Luhrmann

Went for some drinks and nibbles on a Tuesday night. We had made a booking but the place was empty from 5.30 to just before 7 when we left.

Between 4 we shared a margarita pizza, cauliflower croquettes, flatbread with hummus and fries. The pizza was very good and had lots of cheese which was great and the chips were the stock standard shoestring. The flatbread dish we found overly salty - it was either the bread itself or hummus that had too much salt sprinkled over it which didn’t taste that great. The cauli croquettes were the highlight, warm and super rich but very satisfying. All the dishes were large sizes and worth the price paid.

We also ordered cocktails which surprisingly took longer to come out than the food. All the drinks were super strong but not to my liking. The drinks felt overly sweet (I had the rum and pear one which was understandably sweet due to Demerara sugar) but my friends lady Lula tasted like cough medicine.

Our bill came to $116 approx which is very reasonable for the amount of food/drinks we got. Service was super friendly and attentive and the actual wait all together was not very long.

Edit: increasing from 3 to 4 stars. Food today was very good. Really worthwhile portion sizes for the cost and came out within 10 minutes which was perfect for those coming out during lunch break.

What an awesome idea to have bottomless brunch over the long weekend. Love the atmosphere and the staff were so accommodating and kind. Croydon has a great attitude and kept the drinks flowing when required. Morgan was lovely on the bar and Nadia’s service throughout the service was top notch. Would definitely recommend to others to try this out.
Emile Lods
We decided to attend Lula inn for bottom less brunch over the long weekend. Croyden kept us topped us on our mimosas, Morgan and Abby we amazing hosts and Nadia made sure that we got everything we needed and ensured we had an amazing time! Will attend again!
Griffin Skudder
Great service at Lula Inn from Croydon, Abby, Maddy, and Nadia. Adam's food was delicious and the drinks kept flowing at the perfect pace. Great service and fun day!
Patrick Collins
We attended bottomless brunch over the long weekend, Croyden did an absolutely fabulous job keeping us in fun spirits and topped up on mimosas. Maddie made delicious coffee and Abby was an amazing host! Nadia did a superb job taking our orders and making sure we got the best possible service!
Kaitlin Griffen
Went for bottomless brunch and Croydon was a superb waitress, kept us topped up all day! Maddie and Nadia were kind and fabulous and Abby was a great hostess!
Jamie MacKay
We came for the bottomless brunch and it was really good. Generous pours, great food, and our waitress Emily was great! Blah blah 140 characters
Jem
Not good enough! Service and food was average ! I had the market fish with prawns it was cold and tasteless and my partner got the chicken parm which was as he describe like brick !
Emma-Louise Hogg
We had a brunch booking on Saturday morning and Molly, our waitress, couldn't have been more fabulous. She was attentive, very personable and really lovely, could not have had a better time 😊
Tamara
Lula inn you did it again, good vibes, food, music and drinks. Our server Molly was the best!! Kept our drinks topped up 👍👍 10/10 would recommend,
Nicholas Biggio Corona
Had a lovely time saying our goodbyes to our dearest friend Gretchen. Definitely recommend this place for a great meal in the viaduct. Our waitress greeted us with a lovely smile and the service by all staff was amazing. But as a hospitality worked myself I have to highlight Molly for being super attentive the whole way through our meal and making this day extra special
Matthew Kendall
Went to the bottomless brunch. Exceeded my expectations The food was amazing, the salmon hash cake was delish. Our server Molly was amazing and always made sure we were looked after. 11/10 would recommend.

Overall service was average, decor was beautiful, ambience was off.
Booked a large table for a graduation dinner with family that had flown up from down south.
Online mentioned there being live music just before the time we had booked. We thought music would be lovely but instead we could hear the performance as we approached and were shocked to see the restaurant was dimly lit and the live performer blaring to a crowd of drunk patrons on a Sunday night?!?! Anyone would think we had somehow ended up in Danny Doolans and not a nice spot for a meal and catch up with family. Couldn’t read the menu as it was super dark and couldn’t focus over the loud music so didn’t order a drink and didn’t study the menu too hard to find something I would 100% enjoy.
The waitress came over to discuss the menu with us to which we responded “we can’t hear you”
she carried on anyway as if we could lip read. She later pat me on the back to get my attention, I would have rather her turn the music down so she wouldn’t have to physically make contact with me instead of using her voice.
The waitress’ patience was very slim and I felt some staff were well undertrained due to the way they handled situations, plates, orders and serving drinks holding them from the rim (where you drink) instead of as low down as possible.
No apologies were made for the music nor the forgotten orders.
The live performer eventually left a little later than booked to our relief... but then started the loud “background music”.
We tried to yell over it... eventually gave up and asked for the music to be turned down... NOPE
took me having to walk over to the bar (getting ignored by multiple staff) until someone turned their attention to me so I could ask if something could be done to prevent the damage to our ear drums. This time successful.
My pasta was really soupy, but relatively tasty. Compliments from the table on all of their meals, a part from the service and ambience the place was okay. Would maybe come back during the day time for an experience overlooking the water which was advertised online, not like we were gate crashing a club with drunkards dancing around as if it were a Friday at 1am...
If you would like an intimate date where you don’t need to talk and can just canoodle in the dark. Highly recommend.
May be back to give these guys another go during the day!

Excellent food, Excellent drinks and better staff. Special mention to Morgan for being such a super waitress. Here’s a quick acrostic poem to show my appreciation of her skills.

Marvellous

Organised

Regal

Golly good

Artistic

Noticeably excellent at her job

Last month’s brunchclub was at The Lula Inn located in the waterfront, beside the Auckland Maritime Museum. I’ve never been to this restaurant before so I was quite excited to try their Bottomless Brunch with some awesome blogging gals. Food plus cocktails on a Sunday? YES PLEASE. When you enter The Lula Inn, you’re greeted by this awesome plant wall and cute neon sign.
Laura Nicholas
I visited Lula’s for the bottomless brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing level of service I received from Frieda our host, Abbey who kept our drinks continually topped up throughout our time as well as Adam the chef who provided Nothing but pleasantries as he served us our pastries and main course meals which filled my Monday Morning pleasantly. I will gladly visit Lulas again!
Libby Banicevich
Amazing staff ! Sarah (from Canada) 5 stars , amazing highlight and chat ✨⚡️ venue was beautiful and the food and drinks were also amazing too

Lulas in was such an amazing environment. We went for bottomless brunch. The staff were so friendly, and the food was great. The service was on point. Sophie.H (in the lane) and Nayda were amazing! They made the experience the best. I would come again, and I have!
BigDogzGottaEat
The service here was outstanding! Our mimosa glasses were regularly topped up during our bottomless brunch extravaganza. The food was good, just a typical eggs Benedict. The music was fun once the drinks were flowing, but initially it put a strain on conversation.

A great weekend activity to celebrate with friends, would highly recommend it!
Robson.rachael
Lulas on a Sunday is an Auckland must! Bottomless brunch with the best bacon eggs Benedict around. Ask for Imogen, she’s lovely! Thanks for a great Sunday with Friday. Thanks Imogen!!

Service: 5/10

Ambience: 9/10

Quality of food: 9/10

Went here for dinner and the place was busy so we expected some delays luckily we did make reservations before going.

The level of service was average we had a rude waitress.

When we wanted to order oysters from entree’s menu we were told they had ran out so we skipped entree’s and decided to order mains instead.

The waitress took a good 20 minutes to deliver our cocktails and since the wait for our mains were long we got offered 1 free cocktail per person on our table which we did enjoy.

The wait time for our mains was about 80 minutes. The food was tasty when it eventually arrived.

The downfall was when we went to pay our bill we saw oysters being served and we were quite disappointed.
Kaoseumu
Service was disappointing took us asking for water to get some even though we ordered a bottle of wine and dessert and over an hour later. Pannacotta was more like an average trifle in a glass.

Rebranded from the Crew Club, The Lula Inn is a convenient bar for Auckland corporates due to its proximity to the ferry terminal CBD location. We came here for the leaving party of one of our favored employees so we expecting more drinking than munching.

In terms of actual things that we ate, there wasn’t too much but I’ll say that the Fish Taco was refreshing and flavorsome. An excellent choice to go down with drinks the presentation wasn’t too bad either. We had a few non-alcoholics with us and they had plum juice, pineapple, and apple. I'm only really bringing this up because the presentation of the juices was quite nice. The pizza had an interesting taste reminding me of cornflakes.

Showstopper: The Fish Tacos

Overall Grade: B+
Craig Hunter
Ordered the lamb chips. Very disappointing and what was on the plate wasn’t appealing The service was average. Won’t be back and won’t recommend it.

Came in for after work drinks with a couple of friends. The restaurant has the harbour view working for it, and in summer this is a beautiful spot to enjoy some fresh air after work.

Service is a bit off - nobody greeted us, not even a hello as we walked in. Not sure how casual the place is supposed to be but after sitting for a bit we ended up finding a menu for ourselves. However, when the waitresses do start coming over they are friendly and communicative. They were quite attentive once our orders were taken, and did check how our food was.

Food itself was delicious - calzone and the king ora salmon pizza really hitting the spot. Nicely presented and the salmon pizza especially generous with the toppings.

A nice enough experience and would love to come back to try the bottomless brunch!
Niamh Slattery
Bottom less brunch here at the weekend was lovely. Nice cool decour and plenty of space. The food was good I had the corn fritter which was a little over but other than that nice. And my friend had the salmon which she loved. The bottom less cocktails were filled and refilled constantly but if you want to switch drinks be sure to stop the waitress refilling as I had to ask for a replacement and hand it back. Other than that the service on the bottomless refills being quick the rest was pretty slow so don't be too hungry as its a little wait for food but they did bring a small snack in between. And when changing to a Bloody Mary or asking for water it was a long wait. At the end of brunch we were able to take our last drink outside which was nice but they don't do refills out there but if you pop back in the will. I would definitely come back and do this again
Adriana Ferdian
Great overall dinner experience! Food was delicious - the Kokoda was fresh, the scampi spaghetti was delicious, and the small lamb racks had an enough tinge of sweetness without being so overpoweringly sweet like a lot of lamb dishes tend to be. The smoked kahawai toasts were beautiful if only a tad on the too salty side.

A live band came on at 10pm and played jazzy big band covers of well known songs - so. Much. Fun. Love a band with a big brass line. We moved to a table closer to the stage and started boogie-ing, it was great.

Cocktails are yum but they couldve probably made them stronger... when you’re paying a lot of money for cocktails, you’d expect a bit of a buzz!

The only thing that wouldve made me give The Lula Inn full marks was if the waiting staff had a bit more energy or smile to them. They were just a bit lacklustre - very not in-theme to the Hawaiian / pasifika theme of the restaurant.

Ohh but when we asked for chilli flakes, they gave us a heaping bowl full. And we all know about my pet peeve - restaurants charging for chilli! Full extra point for this!

I have been to Lulas a few times and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Dinner is exceptional, our table tried a range of dishes suggested by the waitress.
The dishes that stood out to me were the salt baked kumara and the lamb ribs. The fried potatoes were also a great side.
The live entertainment on a Friday night is also fantastic. Thanks Lulas!
Gabi
Great spot overlooking the water with fun decor and design inspired restaurant. Service was okay and the pizza was rubbish. They did offer to make the calzone over but still... raw dough, cheap ingredients and no flavor.
RestaurantHopper
Came here with a group of friends the other day. To say that we had an unsatisfactory experience at the Lula Inn would be a gross understatement. It was a lesson learnt the expensive way. We were drawn in by the attractive view overlooking the harbour (which was probably the only thing that made me slightly less salty) and the staff's elaborate descriptions of the menu. Everything went downhill the moment we sat down.

We were offered "tap, spring or sparkling water" which we understandably assumed to be free LOL (can I just recommend that your staff do not phrase questions in such a misleading manner?). We asked for sparkling and the waiter happily obliged, asking whether we would like two. So that was $23.80 down the drain. We didn't come here for designer water.

The highly recommended $9.50 Crushed Fried Agria Potatoes (cooked by a top chef apparently) that promised to be "bang for your buck" was anything but. All I tasted were a few dry, slightly burnt potato skins. Thanks but no thanks.

Then it came to the actual meal. I ordered a small Scampi and Prawn Spaghetti ($23.50) to share with a friend. They definitely weren't kidding about it being small. It was literally a few strands of noodles floating around in a soup. The supposed scampi and prawn was just a single piece diced into microscopic bits. Yea.

Another couple of friends ordered the cheeseburger and also pulled chicken sandwich which also left much to be desired and were not justified by the hefty price.

So, suffice it to say we won't be coming here again. We just hope that people know what they are getting themselves into. In summary, ridiculously overpriced; poor transparency; great for people who don't know where to spend their money and are just looking for a bit of a snack.

But hey, at least the view was great aye.
ChefZ
To begin with, we booked asking specifically for an outside table for a special occasion which was completely ignored & the service was just OK.
The food, well $21.9 for quarter of the burrata with a total mismatch of flavors right from tinned artichokes to tart cherry tomatoes & other unnecessary components & the overall dish slow roasted carrots lacked seasoning. Positives: The quality/type/brand of lamb chops was outstanding, cooked to perfection and the fat was flavorful & all the components were spot on , maybe more intensified flavors of the aubergine purée & the smoked yogurt with the chops being served more hotter temperature wise would’ve been amazing.
Just a more fancy version of Danny Doolans.
Faye Stubbs
Booked a table to watch the rugby and was happily out in front of the big screen. Loved the look of the cocktail list although at $18 on the higher side compared to some places but very impressed with the Gin menu. I will definitely be returning for Gin alone.
Food was average. Chicken schnitzel was tender inside but burnt on the outside. Fries were very generous. The pizzas going past looled good. I see other people have made some comments about the food but wouldn't stop me returning. Lulas is in a good spot with great helpful staff.
The band that came on after the game were awesome. If I'm being picky I'll say that we ordered a beer from the table that never arrived but was on our final bill.. but that was removed without quibble. It was a busy night so when it didn't arrive we went to the bar. Wasn't an issue really.
Jocheli015
Good food with nice views of the water. If you go at appointed times you get a first row seat in front of the cannon that is fired right off the dock. We were there early on a Sunday so the atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back.
Stephy_NakiGirl
Lula Inn has great views overlooking the harbour & Maritime museum & although it was a stormy day when we visited, we were nicely sheltered inside. They do have a lovely deck area for fine days too.
Service was friendly on our visit & our order arrived in good time. We tried the confit tuna which was delicious & surprisingly filling. For bigger appetites you could add a side of Agria potatoes which are yum.
For drinks we ordered the plum, lime & soda which was tasty & refreshing & coffee. They have a good Cocktails/wine etc menu too.
Looking forward to visiting again & trying more of the menu.
I Love To Chew Real Food
Why are people harsh here? I love Lula Inn. Me and my friends did a lovely brunch-lunch here. We ordered the lamb, pasta, and schnitzel. They were lovely. Our favourite was the lamb. The ambiance was nice. Lula Inn is a new restaurant, maybe people should let them settle for few months until they find the right management kitchen flow. But I would love to go back again.

This place is awesome. Great atmosphere and the food is delicious! Plenty to choose from, caters for all. The gin menu is extensive too for those martini lovers 😊
Hayley Van Stom
Lovely vibe and and venue, have the option of sitting inside for a live band and dancing or outside to enjoy the view of the harbour and sail boats. Staff were very friendly and personable, they made sure we were having the optimal dining experience. Food was delicious especially the chocolate self sauce pudding, to which we wanted more of. Mains were awesome, we had the chicken schnitzel and creamy honey soy risotto both cooked to perfection with much flavour. Many options for sides and sharing dishes, we chose the fried agria potatoes which were lovely and crunchy. Would like to go back and try the 10 hour slow cooked carrots! Would highly recommend a beautiful evening down on the viaduct at The Lula Inn.

Had dinner and drinks here with a group of 12 on a Thursday night. There was a nice vibe without being overly busy and the band that came on at some stage were great. A bit of an unexpected surprise. Unfortunately that's where the good part ended. The service was average, inattentive and when we asked to see desert menu's we were informed that the kitchen was closed so no deserts for us! Refer comment on inattentive service. From the food we did get the Venison Tartare was the star of the show however the rest of the small dishes were underwhelming. The Oysters were so small and out of condition a decent restaurant just would not have served them. Really disappointing when we have such fantastic produce to work with. Cauliflower Balls were bland, as was the Confit Tuna. Several of us had the larger steaks and the cooking was inconsistent and the large cap of fat really should have been rendered down some. Accompanying sauce was pretty good though and although a little unusual the 10 hour Char Grilled Carrots were worth the price. I can't pass comment on the other mains except I was advised the Lamb Shoulder was nothing to get excited about. I'd go back for drinks and the band for sure but other than perhaps a bowl of fries with a beer I don't see me ordering food here again. At least not until they get some consistently good reviews. Hopefully they will sharpen up their act and not just try and trade off what is really a great location.
Rebecca MacDonald
We had a friends dinner here last night. The food was great and they had an awesome cocktail list, but my favourite thing was the live band. It started around 9 and went to 11 and they were great. People were up dancing!
Coralee Fitzgibbon
A lovely cosy spot for a delicious cocktail and/or meal. The staff were very friendly, the service prompt, and the drinks and food delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful restaurant on the waterfront. I ordered the scampi spaghetti which i loved but my friend ordered a burger which came out hardly cooked. She asked for it to be recooked to be well done but when it came out again it was still the same.. vividly red in the middle. She gave up and didnt eat it but at least we had another friend who didnt mind and finished it off for her. Next time when we ask for welldone, please make sure it isnt red in the middle. Other than that i had a good experience here, thanks to great harbour water views.

2017, December 14th
I came here again wih group of work mates. Came here hoping that the service would have improved after my last time here but left disappointed again.
1. We asked for sparkling water. Next minute a different waitress brings us our glasses filled with tap water. The sparkling water bottle comes next. We had to drink our tap water so that we can empty our glass to refill with sparkling water.
2. The waitress that served us must be a trainee.. she did not listen us. She went around asking whether we wanted more glasses of wine, we said no. A minute later she asked again.
3. Waitress is not attentive when we actually need her.
4. Our second glasses of wine came 15mins after we ordered.
5. After we finished our mains, we were waiting for the waitress to give us dessert menu which she did not for 20mins. We decided to leave.

Serving needs to be improved here. With having attentive waitresses you could make so much more money. Instead it results in unhappy customers who needed dessert after that main.

This place has a reputation for bad service, sich a shame as its a lovely restaurant. Hope you could take my second advice to improve your service.

First of all, kudos to this place for taking reservations unlike many new restaurants. I hate driving into the city and paying like a zillion bucks for parking only to find I can't get in. I wasn't sure about going to somewhere that had just opened as usually things aren't always that great at the beginning as a restaurant settles in, but I'm glad I did. I'm pretty picky (as shown by some of my other ratings) but I really couldn't fault it. We went for lunch: the waitress asked us what kind of cocktails we liked and made recommendations accordingly, and the drinks were fantastic. Two of us had the roasted snapper roll, which was incredibly tasty and served on a very light roll (like a bahn mi roll) that made it really easy to cut (sometimes sawing through bread is a real hassle). The shoestring fries were tasty too. The other one of us had the smashed avocado and she said it was very good. Again, we're all super-picky about our coffee but it was made perfectly and was excellent. Service was great too. There were lots of things on the menu we wanted to try so I'm looking forward to returning.
