Good spot for brunch. Went with some friends, good vege/vegan options. I had the huevos rancheros and were great. Space is a bit limited inside, but it is cosy.
First time here. The atmosphere was great and the staff members were very friendly. I had the smokey eggplant on toast and the taste was marvelous. It looked cheesy but the pungency of cheese taste was moderate which suited me. I will come back again for other dishes on their menu.
Absolutely loved brunch at Postal Service Cafe! Came in on a Saturday morning around 11.30am and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated promptly and the staff were very attentive. We ordered two coffees, the buckwheat pancakes and the agria hash with tofu. Coffees were as good as expected! The pancakes were surprisingly tasty (hadn’t tried buckwheat pancakes before) with delicious fresh fruits to balance the sweetness! The agria hash had a lovely homemade taste to it and was super filling. As we went up to pay we noticed the cookie jar and ended up getting one. We asked to have it warmed up and it was delicious! Super keen to check out the rest of the menu! The cafe had a great vibe to it and it has definitely become a new favourite.
I love this cafe. A special splash of colour in the midst of all the grey. Lovely people, amazing coffee (pretty strong), and tasty food. But I must say the food isn’t what draws me into this place. The first ever dish I got was a sweet dish (I forgot what it was. I think it’s waffles) which wasn’t bad but wasn’t a mind-blowing kind of tasty. But I know waffles are quite generic and hard to make outstanding. I do think that most cafes tend to have better cabinet food though. Anyways, I tried my first ever sauerkraut here, which was in one of their must try toasties. It’s basically fermented cabbage and I’d like to think of it as the Western version of kimchi haha. The coffee is always served at the perfect temperature and taste, but as I said, it’s quite strong as it did leave me with a massive headache once lol 😂 (but I am sensitive to caffeine to begin with). I was really excited that they also opened in Commercial Bay but I personally feel like it’s just not the same. The whole atmosphere and warmth of this cafe makes me want to stay inside forever.
-> BE BACK OR BACK AWAY? Definitely will be back. I really enjoyed the sauerkraut 😂. Their food is good, and the coffee is really good. There’s so many cafes that serve Kokako coffee so be sure to try it out if you haven’t. I wish this place is closer to my house. Would actually chill here so often. Ah, but see you soon hopefully. White and blue aesthetics. Soft, warm lighting. Love love love.
Came here with the girls for a Saturday Brunch. Was so hard to choose because everything sounded amazing! I ended up going for the free range eggs. Portion size was so good and the pesto was super yum! A few of the girls got the mushrooms which were recommended (and delish). The coffee was also on point! For all of those worried about no meat options, it’s not even needed, you won’t feel like your missing out. 🙈
I never told the friend i came with that this café served no meat (lol) but I very quickly changed their mind about meat-less meals. I’m not Vegan or vegetarian by any means but I do love that the flavour profiles are always so much more pronounced in a good ole’ vege meal.... here was no exception and the coffee was delicious too
The café doesn’t seat that many so can get packed. But I love the beautiful open and sunny nature of the interior
Nice place for gooooood cup of coffee, good service. vege friendly menu which I have not yet try it. I will come back to try something on the menu next time.
Best brew in town. Black, white or cold brew they’ve got all the options ready for you. Only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because they don’t offer a use your own cup discount - takeaway coffee cups are unnecessary pollution.
the cafe is located on the corner of Williamson and Great North Road. Keep an eye out for the blue wattle of the kokako or the blue facade of the building.
it was fairly busy but we were able to get one of the benches in the back. It wasn't until we were at the cafe perusing through the menu that we noticed that the menu was meat-free. The menu items all looked very interesting though.i tried the black garlic mushrooms. Mushrooms were nicely cooked and loaded on top of a couple of slices of toast. It was bigger than it looked.
We also tried the nitro pulled coffee. It was interesting. It was way too bitter for me as I don't really drink coffee. It was really smooth, almost like a beer.
It is quite an interesting cafe with lots of food and drink options. they also have a small shop that sells coffee related items like keep mugs.
Went here due to tiger burger being closed over Xmas. So glad we did had been here years ago and weren’t that impressed. Food looked and tasted beautiful. Can only fault them in the price of their smoothies. Lots of money for very nice but very small drinks.
The Gourmet Vegan Breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection.
Will definitely be back again, compliments to the chefs.
Front of house staff were excellent too, a good job all round!
We came here before an event that was happening nearby, so we didn’t know much about the cafe before walking through the door. We were completely blown away by how tasty the vegan meals can be 🤤 That sausage tasted just like a meat one! The service was quick and efficient and we really liked the vibe and the decor. Definitely recommend for a brunch spot!
BEAUTIFUL presentations. Great vegan options! Would highly recommend trying this cafe for the warm salad and chia pancakes
Lovely little cafe for brunch. Nice ambience, very well presented food with loads of options for all sorts of dietary needs. Great coffee, everything was so fresh and came out fast. Friendly staff. Highly recommend
The coffee was great, I love the vegan breakfast it was delicious
Excellent food n beautiful presentation, enjoyed every single bite of the meal. This cozy restaurant is one of the best vegan place in town and has left the best impressions.
We went for the breakfast n started off with espresso white and then ordered two mains mushroom halloumi & vegan omelette. The Cafe owner was very friendly and knowledgeable n gave us complimentry beetroot pie which was very well textured.
It's now my goto place for BF/Brunch. Highly recommend!
Note: it is vegetarian here.
Came here on a weekday - lots of space and tables to work and eat.
Latte tasted great - strong, flavourful and not bitter.
Fritters bowl was delicious, everything came well together except the bean sprouts. These did not add anything and did not go well with the rest of the dish. Think they should’ve been replaced with a different vegetable/nuts sprinkled over for that crunch factor.
Mushroom halloumi was also delicious. Food was fresh tasting. Left feeling very full. Great portions.
yum food and awesome that they can make most of it vegan!! friendly service staff too ☺️
Great vegan breakfast, coffee was excellent, and service really good. Prices, slightly on the high side, but can't fault the food!
been here 3 times now and every time i am so pleased with the experience, cafe is mostly vegan and offers a huge range of gluten free options. Staff are so kind and accommodating, cabnet options are also amazing. Has become a new fave brunch spot
