This is definitely the best teppanyaki we have ever had in auckland. I had the delux course and my parner had the eye fillet. The meat w awesome. Also Highly recommend the craft Japanese beer. Its a busy place but staff are very friendly. It's amazing how chef cooked for the whole restaurant. Wonderful experience will for sure come back.
Celebrated my friend’s birthday here. Food was very fresh and tasty. Staff were attentive and friendly. Would come back again!
Visited this place for a family night out. Loved how the chefs preparing food right in front of us.
It’s a small place with limited staff, but I really appreciate the effort they put in to give the customers a great experience even though they were super busy.
Food 8/10 Service 9/10 Ambience 7/10
It is a small teppan Japanese restaurant. But the food there is tasty. I like the soup, the problem is I think the crab is not fresh enough. I highly recommend the scallop which is tasted rich and creamy. Next time I will order double as this time. And the chef is patient and professional.
The taste and the presentation was great! There are many subtle flavors you just can't recreate at home. However my friend did complain about the size haha
What a find! My partner and I came here on a recommendation and the food was exquisite. We got the 5 course degustation each and for $50ish you get a huge feast (totally worth!). The scotch steak was perfectly cooked and moist with the appropriate side of sauce which isn’t too overwhelming. The starter was very interesting but all great flavours. The kingfish was so moist and tasty. Overall the food is 5 stars, however the service there was questionable. Very understaffed but the chefs honestly did as best as they could (coming to serve us too). Little things such as not bringing out water until asked, taking cutlery and not replacing were some of the errors but this could be because of new staff? I loved the food and will defs be back tho.
Best teppanyaki in Auckland. Nice environment and friendly service. Service very fast. And ingredients are all pretty fresh. Love to dining here
Convenient location, great showmanship, and tasty menu.
I thought the A5 wagyu from here was the best I’ve had in Auckland.
Even though the pork belly wasn’t made on the grill, it was still very delicious when eaten with the mayo. Texture a bit dry though.
Would return.
High quality food and awesome waguya beef and misu soup. One of the best i ever tried. The chef is one of the best i ever seen. Very professional and great customer service. I would really go back again.
Great food. Bowz is a well established Japanese restaurant in Auckland and I would say one of the best teppanyaki restaurants in Auckland. The dishes are amazing but as usual with Japanese dining, you crave more after you finish.
The food is delicious and so well decorated with a large variety of dishes to choose from. Sitting close to the grill is definitely a bonus as it is entertaining to watch the chefs cook the food. In addition to this, there are delicious desert options such as fruit sorbets and chocolate cake.
I’ve always loved teppanyaki and heard good words about this place for age. This was my first visit. It did not disappoint.
The teppanyaki was really authentic and absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were. I went for the prawns, which was lovely, but my guests had salmon and beef, and the sizes of the steaks were really impressive.
Great value for money! Highly recommend this place!
This place is seriously one of our family's all-time favourites. Their food always looks and tastes amazing. I couldn't help but give them a 5-star review because they really deserve it.
Loved the food and service! Watching the chef prepare and cook my dinner was a delight. Especially since he was super clean with mannequin hands and didn't even break a sweat! Even I was getting hot from all that heat! (I sat in front of the grill) The waiter was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely go again!
I had the 5 course meal w/ steak (lots of options to choose from). For dessert I tried a few items but the sesame sorbet and creme brulee were my favorite. Yum! No photos, too busy eating!
Had dinner here to celebrate little girl’s birthday. We ordered three sets of 5 meal course which all of us three were super enjoy the delicious cuisine. The chef is not the one but a super man who looked after the food of everyone. Little girl got a complimentary small birthday dessert after the meal as I did remark when booking. Loved it on our first visit and can definitely recommend the place to everyone.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The restaurant is small but the food is like fine dining. We had the the five course menu. Food was great, plentiful and totally memorable. Service was great. The kind of meal you would bring clients to, or for a special occasion although it is not expensive at all!
Our visit to this teppanyaki restaurant was truly exceptional. The food was exquisite, and the service surpassed our expectations. However, a member of our group experienced a medical emergency, and we had to call for an ambulance. The restaurant staff and fellow patrons showed tremendous compassion and support, with a staff member even waiting outside for the ambulance.
Under these unexpected circumstances, we had to settle the bill in a hurry. To our surprise and gratitude, the manager displayed remarkable kindness by refunding a substantial portion of our bill, going above and beyond to assist us in a difficult moment.
This exceptional act of kindness truly reflects the restaurant's commitment to outstanding service. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the manager and the entire staff for their exceptional care and understanding.
First time trying here. We had the 5 courses menu with the scotch fillet and the yellow fin as main. The entree/appetiser was interesting. They give you 8 different choices of food, ranging from tofu, egg and sashimi. The sashimi was fresh and most of the other dishes was ok. The second course was miso soup which had a nice piece of prawn and grilled salmon in it which adds taste to the soup, quite a nice idea definitely to make miso soup more fancier. The next course was grilled veges which I enjoyed a lot. My favourite part of it was the eggplant and the corn. They give some torched yum yum sauce as garnish and to dip with the veges. The main course was scotch fillet and lightly grilled yellow fin tuna. The tuna had good char taste and the scotch fillet was not bad and comes with a bunch of condiment to dip.
Dessert was sorbet which we liked the matcha flavour one. Overall chef was good, cooks fast and well. Service was very good here also. Will recommend.
Very delicious , very worth the $27. The chef is very kind and the beef sirlion was very tasty with its sauce.
A second visit in as many months and it was delicious. The salmon sushi was so good, the best I’ve had (and I love sushi). The prawn and broccoli dish is my favourite and I know I’ll be craving it for days to come. My husband enjoyed the eye fillet beef, and their steak servings are generous.
