Review Andy's Burgers & Bar - Auckland Central

Went here for my son's birthday. Ordering via QR code was great. Food came out in a considerable amount of time delivered by Bella the robot food attendant. Fun way to do food service but also good to have a little person to person interaction especially if you are a first timer at this place. Food was good. Parking was a bit dear.

Nice cosy, restaurant with good seating. Lots of tvs to enjoy sports games from multiple angles. The whole atmosphere was really vibe and the food was delicious 😋. But best part of all is being served by ai robots. Nothing beats a robot bringing you a burger.
James Corcoran
Real tasty beef burger and sides. Mac and cheese was a bit sickly (for me) but maybe others would enjoy. The serving robots were pretty entertaining. Cool to see kids faces light up when their meals were brought over by them. Definitely more expensive than other burger places I’ve been but it’s alright. My only complaint is the buns on the burger and my wife agreed too. They almost seemed stale. But the contents of the burger were beautiful. Excellent patty and cheddar with that salty smokey kick to it that I love. Not bad all round.

It was busy Easter Sunday packed with diners inside and long line outside. Was not a long wait considering there were so many orders in the kitchen. The robot server made the service faster. The signature burger tastes really good and fries were fresh and crispy . Would not recommend the chicken it was tasteless.
Angel
Good portions and atmosphere. The spicy chicken burger was actually spicy. Was a bit disappointed when the QR code on our table wasn’t working so we had to place our order at the bar but we loved our waiter who brought our food to us.

Went here 2nd December 2022, 6.30pm. Had the Nachos, they were 10/10. Went here again, idk if the nachos are gone cuz i checked the menu and it wasnt there.

Always a delight to eat at and so many onto it staff. Quick service and food always hot. Hot wings and small salad are my jam! Hubby loves the burgers and fries. Tip: order the truffle mayo even though it's not on the menu. It will transform your fries and be the best $2 spent on a condiment. You're welcome!

The atmosphere is great as it is inside the iconic Sky Tower of Auckland. If you're seated in the far end, you will have a view of the tower itself. The kids love the robot servers which served us the burgers, chips, and wings - all of which are great!
Erina Cooper
Robot service was entertaining, but enjoyed still having wait staff. Food was delicious, staff are friendly. I absolutely loved the spicy chicken burger and my partner really enjoyed his classic burger
Sushant Sehgal
Speedy service coupled with tasty food and cocktails. This place would be excellent for watching sport games as it is surrounded with TV screens and a big projector screen. Staff is very friendly and efficient and the food was delivered at a speedy pace. Best of all, it is a very good value for the the money we paid. Would definitely want to try the s’mores next time I am here.

Burgers were great! Robot kitty-servers (and their huma counterparts) were equally efficient and charming! I love the care and quality each person had throughout our meal! Can't wait to come back.
Joel Lisk
Food was good. Burger was great, but the coleslaw not up to the same standard. Attended during a ‘not so busy’ time, so food was quick. The robots delivering food was a novelty, but didn’t really add much to the atmosphere.

I waited around 8 minutes to some waiter or waitress to come to my table. The restaurant wasn't full at the moment, but clearly it was an unexpected scenario. The price of the menu is very reasonable and fair when you realize that the restaurant is inside the sky tower. I tried the vegetarian burger, which it really impressed me a lot. I know how to cook and prepare fancy burgers and the vegetarian from Andy's was amazingly beautiful. I took a picture of the melted cheese merged with the mushrooms, the flavours are very tasty. The salad was ok, since it was just a small salad to supply the main meal, which comes already with fries if it is any of the Burges. But what made me rate this a 5/5 is because of the service. Even waiting to be attended, the staff treat with a high quality and, especially, provided me with a Negroni. This cocktail is not in the menu and when I asked, they prepared it for me charging with the same price of any other gin cocktail. A restaurant that can manage a request beyond its menu options is for sure 5/5 star rate. This proves that they know how to deliver an unique service for their costumers.

it's back and it's back with a BANG! definitely something worth craving for the meat of these burgers are just crazy delicious it's the party that stands out just like how burgers are supposed to be not covered in sauce or buns love the normal cheese burgers but the tower burger is an instagrammable experience I don't wana miss the onion rings are fantastic battered just right pair them with a quench beer and baby you sealed the deal

A sports burger bar with robot waiters. We popped in on a Saturday night with a group of 6 with no booking (I know, mortifying), but we were squeezed into a table. You order food here using a QR code and it is then brought to you by a robot. The food is reasonably good. However, the kitchen got a couple things on our order wrong and I can’t really recommend anything beyond their burgers. Worth trying out at least once for the novelty, but I’m not sure if it can top other burger bars in the city.
Richard Morrell
You have to order the right thing here. I'm not a massive fan of the beef burgers or the Korean wings. But the Korean chicken burger was amazing. There is also an aloe cocktail which was real minty and not too sweet. Service was good.

Skycity after a long time. Andys good burger, good beer. Wings a hit.Fish & Chips was really nice.Loved the ambience and nice music playing. Loved the decor and seating. Very good efficient and friendly service. Alisha was best at work, very forthcoming. They have plenty of offers. The place is open till late. Good to watch match with friends. Overall must visit.
Bigbluebeetle
There's actually nothing wrong with the food here - it's quite tasty. The hot wings are a highlight of the restaurant. Interesting menu choices. Prices are what you would expect at a SkyCity restaurant. The host was nice as well.<br/><br/>What was disappointing was that the service was slow, despite having a friendlyand attentive server. Clearly, this restaurant needs to hire more people.
Naima Khan
We had a piece of price tag paper / sticker on the meat inside the burger. Also the wait time to get our meals is ridiculously long for what sort of food comes out unacceptable.

I with my friends went to Andys on a Saturday night and the vibe was great. Mainly as the hurricanes vs blues rugby match was on going. However the seating and the crowd was very appealing. We ordered few burgers and sides. The stand out dish was the beer battered onion rings. True to the name it was fluffy and tasty and crispy. Yumm!! I ordered the Cali burger and the beef patty was yum and the whole ensemble was lovely. Soft and nice. I enjoyed my burger. The cost was not very much. I would recommend this for once atleast for the experience. But the negative is this is just regular bar food and you can get it at any outlet so you can pay cheaper as well

Was a quiet Weds night, but service was terrible. We ordered two burgers, one with an add on of onion rings and hot wings. After over 20mins wait ONE burger arrives and goes cold while we wait another 15 for mine to turn up. Mine was RAW and cold (I’m pregnant so sent it back) After another 15mins still no burger, we went and cancelled my burger. I had to ask for an apology which wasn’t genuine, they charged us for a side of onion rings and not an add on, further accusing us of not telling the waitress. I then mentioned my disappointment with leaving without any food after a long wait to which I was asked if i wanted to see how busy the kitchen was? The restaurant was near empty! The time were there we watched multiple customers receive the wrong meals, waitresses running around with food going to wrong tables and returning food to the kitchen. Was a horrible experience and I didn’t even get to eat!
Zane
Just all round average experience, burgers were not up to par for a burger bar. $15.50 cheese burger and fries. burger was disappointing, nothing special at all, fries were cooked in old oil. Service was slow. 3/10 will probably not return. Its a shame, used to be good place.

Absolutely amazing hot wings

Andy’s has previously been in our good books until now! <br/><br/>Surprisingly was not a pleasant experience that we usually have, and to my surprise- all staff were severely untrained and unorganised. <br/><br/>Unfortunately my Deluxe burger tasted very off, dry and flavourless- Far different from when I previously ordered it. <br/><br/>The beef tasted like the freezer and did not tick many boxes of what we wanted in a burger. Also to my surprise, the burger buns were also burnt and uneatable. Same for the hot wings, different to previous times being dry and not spicy/flavoursome. <br/><br/>As I work in the hospitality sector also, it was a surprise to me that even with a semi-full house that the waitresses did not keep to their sections and were all over place with little accomodation but a lot of chit chat. Our waitress seemed very new and quiet, whether it be nerves-No right to be rude serving us.<br/><br/>Waitresses all need a good re-train and run down.<br/><br/><br/>Will have to say though that the mixed sodas were great and the chips were delicious as usual!<br/><br/>We came in with good intentions of great food which lives up to our usual standard of Andy’s, but coming back after 4 months was definitely a different story. I’m afraid we will not be enjoying another dine in with Andy’s.<br/>

The hot wings are worth the hype! Between the 2 of us - 1/4 portion of the hot wings & the honey wings plus fries on the side was more than enough & so yummy! Def recommended for a relaxed lunch!

Service, quality of food are getting worse. Staff are not very welcoming and waited so long for our food. We used to love Andys and our go to place, but somehow it changed. Will not go back there anymore. Unwelcoming staff and very unorganised. Quite disappointing.
Libby
I had surf and turf special, told they could not do steak rare, only medium rare. Steak was cut into slices and well done. Fried were tasteless and salad left untouched. Daughter had the ribs. She stated they were okay, very fatty. She didn't like the coleslaw but I did. I probably will not go there again. Dinner cost $52.00.
Amindha Fernando
This is a regular staple. Usually end up coming here at least once a month and it is consistently good. You cannot go wrong with the Cali classic. The wings and extra sauces here are also such a treat.
Andre William Andrews
I waited 40 minutes for this no extras for the long wait and a half hearted apology
Tanya Aggarwal
Came here before 4pm to grab $1 wings. Were served the lunch menu. Poor service, could not find anyone to take our order as they were occupied with tidying stacks of items and talking to coworkers. Upon getting a waitresses attention we ordered and got told it’s time for the dinner menu. Did not get $1 wings.
Moana Kairau
This was my salad so disappointing, also missed out my croutons at the start paid $18.50, if I could rate no starts I would. Won’t be going back
Loralee
My family and I came here on the weekend. The staff were really rude and abrupt. The manager was very “stand offish” - if you asked him a question he would snap back. The girl who waitered us was rude and had a bad attitude. Considering we spent over $150+, you would expect them to atleast be nice and friendly. Just saying - if you don’t like your job, find a new one. Customer service is important when working in a place like SkyCity and my whole family was shocked at the staffs behaviour.

If I could rate this place a zero I would! Came on Sunday with my husband and two young kids, upon arrival we were seat promptly which was great. Waiters never came back to our table to take orders, after waiting for over 10mins we approached a waiter, she said she would come back to take our order but never did so my husband went up to counter to get someone else to come take our order, the girl at the counter said to give her a minute and she’ll come take our order but she never did. <br/><br/>Eventually we couldn’t be bothered waiting around and dealing with the shit service so we left to go eat somewhere else. We don’t have all the time in the world as we have two young kids, we need to be in and out before they get antsy.
Andrea Oyaneder JimĂŠnez
Not happy, My husband food never arrived, I eat before, the food was coming shortly. Expensive and low quality, Bread like Mc Donald’s, small. Not good for the price.
Oz Sum
We got 2 different burgers and Amex special meal of the month. Also we got 2 house soda. Everything was really good. Only thing is, we should choose our table when it is not busy. There was only a few table and we got the table next to door. There were better tables inside. It was nice experience anyway. We'll be definitely back.

Was one of my favorite restaurants in the city, but it appears they're under new management or something.<br/><br/>Half of the burgers are now removed from menu, including classics such as the Waikiki Pork Burger. For a place called Andy's Burger's & Bar you'd think that burgers would be a top priority, but I guess not.<br/><br/>Shakes are no longer available which is also sad, they had some great shakes before. Some of the new menu items are okay, but they aren't burgers, again coming from a place called Andy's Burgers & Bar.<br/><br/>Waitress got our order wrong, and the music was ear deafening but those are the least of the problems.<br/><br/>Honestly, just disappointed.
Zara
Love it here, so tasty and burgers are to die for. Fries are great too. Quite big so great if decently busy but quite hard to get service apart from that it was great!
MCP
A lovely burger joint in skycity, went on a friday night and they had a live music going, which was a bit too loud. <br/>We ordered beef burger and jalapeno poppers and they were great, service was ok.
Luke Rooney
The $1 Wings are the only reason I come here, not for the burgers.. They charge around 15 NZ just for the burger that is pretty high especially when the burger is a small bun and meat. To me it looks more like a Kids Burger! if your wanting more bang for your buck i would head elsewear. Velvet Burger just across the road charge about the same but their burgers are massive compared to these 'kids' Burgers at Andys..
Jesse Pabla
Andy’s chicken wings are the best! You can not go wrong! <br/>As you can see from the picture we absolutely demolished the food. <br/>Fantastic service also! 10/10

This place used to be one of my favorites about a year ago, always used to come here for great service and amazing food. Took a friend here on Friday and was absolutely gob smacked and embarrassed by the quality of food that was delivered to us. <br/><br/>For some odd reason they’ve stopped doing their milkshakes/thick-shakes which were by far the best in CBD. What a huge loss. <br/><br/>Beef nuggets/balls we ordered were appalling, mac n’ cheese was average, fried shrimp was so oily and overdone, ribs were super bland and unseasoned. Our drinks were syrup heavy. Argh, just was super disappointed at the food that was served. Needless to say we literally didn’t even finish anything off and when we got to pay at the bar the bar guy just stared at me and shrugged his shoulders with an ‘what do u want attitude’. Like mate, how about smiling and taking my money for the inedible food that we just ordered? <br/><br/>Super disappointed and will definitely not be back at this joint. Used to be so darn good this place! And now its just slack as. The only upside was the nice waitress we had, kudos to you and your service! Everything else, appalling.

Went there on Sunday evening for supper. Odered soft drink Coke zer o which the waitress advised they dont have it after checking and then asked for a fanta which they also didnt have only soft drinks available was coke and sprite really. Nevermind then my daughter ordered a milkshake which we were told after she checked they were not making any milkshake orders. Really disappointing as we could also see there were lots of kids around. This was around 18:30 still very early and not to have these things. The service a bit on the slow side table sticky from previous diners Im sure. We  ordered the hot wings and ribs NO wet wipes given just used the dry hand towels and then used the wash room in the casino area. I wont be eating here again

Despite being here a couple of times and always finding the food okay, tonight’s was just crap. $5 bowl of chips, we counted approx 10 chips in the bowl. Broccoli not cooked at all, came out raw but rubbery and impossible to eat. Corn bread was incredibly stodgy and stuck to the roof of your mouth. Left without eating a thing. The service could have saved this, however was just as poor. Felt for everyone as they were clearly understaffed but those serving were so incredibly rude, we had a bowl of food thrown at our table by a waiter. When I approached to pay and advised the meal wasn’t so good, the response was (in a terribly sarcastic tone) “chefs there, why don’t you tell him”. Don’t think I’ll be going back again after tonight’s experience.
Louise
I've been here a couple times, and its always been pretty similar. The service is average, and the food comes out a little slow too and the tables are sticky, but everyone is always really friendly.<br/><br/>Foodwise, its also pretty average, we always come to get the cheeseburger and the chicken burger. There's nothing super special about them, but they're very filling. I did enjoy the cornbread and the halloumi chips (they're a bit different from what I thought they would be but still enjoyable nevertheless. They also have daily discounts on certain menu items, and its pretty worth it to come get some wings and a beer.<br/>Drinks wise, I usually get the Passionfruit x Lime, which is pretty fruity but its really good, and if I'm after a milkshake I tend to go for the Peanut butter or the nutella and banana!<br/><br/>Food: 3.5/5<br/>Service 3/5
Emma
Came here for dinner, service was quick and friendly enough. I ordered the plain cheeseburger and it was pretty good, the side of fries it came with seemed meagre at first but was surprisingly filling overall. Onion rings were also good. I ordered a passion fruit and lime soda (?) which was good but probably not worth it for the price. The atmosphere here is alright, location is good. A bit loud at times with all the people talking and music on speakers but it’s not unpleasant.

UPDATE review *** We were craving for some fried chicken and beer at home so we decided to order takeaway: <br/><br/>Andy’s Hot Wings – is a MUST with blue cheese dip! Although the dip comes with these hot wings you have to specifically ask for these as one time we came home and were very disappointed there was no blue cheese dip! I don’t really enjoy the sriracha type of sour taste that the chicken is covered in but it is weirdly addictive, especially with the cheese dip.<br/><br/>Honey soy wings - I like these better as its sweet but can get salty after having too much but beer will wash it all down. <br/><br/>Both types of wings are actually quite meaty, and batter is crispy. I recommend ordering one of each flavor.<br/><br/>BBQ Chicken Drumsticks – These looked amazing but the sauce didn’t really hit the spot. The corn bread is nice, and the chicken drumsticks are quite big and soft but tasted like the meat wasn’t marinated enough.<br/><br/>Little salad is not bad for $5. You get pumpkin seeds along with tomato and the dressing is just right.<br/><br/>Service is always consistent. ***<br/><br/>Review from 4 months ago: Ordered their weekday lunch deals: BBQ burger which is served with a beef patty and bacon on yummy Brioche Bun. I was craving for something greasy and this really hit the spot, only $12.00 and it comes with fries. <br/><br/>Excellent service – while we had lunch here we probably had around 4-5 different staff and they were all very well-mannered and really looked after you, which is exceptional especially when it was a public holiday.

If you are looking for some good burgers in Auckland with some options of good sides then look no further Andy’s Burger and Bar is here. Right smack in the middle of the CBD located inside of Sky City this place is really accessible. They serve great burgers, buffalo wings, pork ribs, thick shakes, wine, cocktails and beer, what more can you ask for, it is the perfect hangout on a weekend afternoon.

Went there on new year’s eve, was good, the atmosphere was perfect, we had a good foods and service, i tried the fish burger, chicken wings and couple of mocktails, they are soo good, i mean nothing goes wrong with mocktails tho
Margarita Ramos
I went here for lunch with my friend. And the place had good food and vibe. I had the fish burger which I enjoyed very much. The batter for the fish was really crispy 👌 unfortunately the drink I had with it which was the lemon and pomegrante soda was disappointing. It didnt taste anything like pomegrante, just lemon and sprite.

Yooooo Andy's mad lit!!!!! To be fair my mates and I are damn locals to this place. We literally went here every Wednesday for 2 or 3 months.<br/>We always grab their hot spice buffalo wings which are amazing and their burgers are decent too. Great vibes as well (great for drinks as well)<br/>Got no hate for this place. The waiters are amazing too.<br/>
Adrianna
Good place to hang out and chill with friends on the Friday evening! Variety of main and snacks and drinks available. They have live music, bar, tv screens throughout the restaurant. Would come here again.
Emily
Andy's has a very good lunch deal. Only $12 for what's pictured! A drink, small burger, fries and chicken. Everything is up to good standards. Of course another one of those places that I'll revisit when I'm nearby :)

Service was excellent but food was delayed due to technical issue. Free chips was provided while waiting. <br/>Food and portioning is reasonable.

Andy’s is my go-to place when I’m around Sky City. Their food menu is good and has quite a variety to choose from.<br/><br/>I’ve tried their burgers, fish and chips and chicken wings. They give you a big portion and the taste is good, but nothing surprising. [Food: 3/5]<br/><br/>The food took a little too long to come, about 20-30 minutes. But the waitresses I’ve encountered from here have all been really nice. [Service: 4/5]<br/><br/>Andy’s has got a pub/bar theme, which is quite chill. So you can come without having to dress up fancy. Their pricing ranges from $12-$25, pretty affordable for a food place at Sky City. [Price: 4/5]

Very good service and very good food. Fries come with burgers which is a plus. Lastly, the atmosphere of the restaurant has a diner-esque feel.

Came here twice already with a group of friends and on New Year’s Eve. Everywhere is full to the brim but luckily we got seats after 10 mins of waiting. They do pretty decent steak, wings and fish&chips. You do have to wait for the food for a bit. Usual $20+ price but comes at decent portion. You can always doggy bag if you can’t finish. We ordered the sundae and it’s massive. Service could be improved though, hard to get their attention at times and at both occasions, waitress seems to try avoid eye contact and abit grumpy!
Lavi
Andy’s has become one of our go-to spots for the last 2-3 years now, Especially on Wednesday’s for the $1 wings :)<br/>Service is always prompt & friendly. Special shout out to Basil & Nico (Niko sorry if I spelt it wrong) they have the best customer service, on to it, super friendly & welcoming. Thank you guys for always making our dining experience at Andy’s that much more pleasant!!
MataMan
8 people ate here. I’ll comment on just 2. We had salads. Mmmmmmm... poor really. Lots of rabbit food with minimal anything else. The service was very quick, efficient and the costs were good. But I wouldn’t recommend the salad on its own as a main. We won’t be going back. I’ll rate this a 3 because of the service, atmosphere and prices. Others ate burgers which looked nice.

I have been here few times before, food and staff were nice and friendly. However , one time i took my parents for dinner, we asked one waitress to ask if we can sit on a table we wanted. And she said no because they will close the table soon. Then after we ordered food, i found out there were new people and they were sitting there. When i asked the waitress to explain why this happened to us, she replied to us if we want to move the table to somewhere else which we even didnt mention. The way how she managed the situation was not professional and rude. My parents got really upset from her attitude. They were visiting NZ for the firs time, it was not a good experience at all. <br/>From this horrible experience, i dont think i will go back.

This place is amazing. Food is delicious. And our waiter Nico was the nicest person 🙂<br/>Will 100% come here again. #cheeseburger#lemonandrasberry<br/>

Dinner during office christmas party 13.12.18 with office mates, beer battered onion ring, andy’s hot chicken wings and the cheeseburger as our choice as food before started the heavy drinking night
Victor Fung
Ehhh... I find the wings too sour. The deluxe and beef burgers are not special, actually not much taste.. Anyway, below average and expensive. The only nice thing is the ambience
Tastebuds On Point
Very nice, I had the Waikiki pork burger, partner had the bbq deluxe burger, he said it was really good. I would’ve liked the pork in mine to be abit more shredded but was still yummy. The bacon mayo was the shit! The honey soy nibbles tasted abit weird to our liking.. and the Sodas were the bees knees! Pomegranate and lemon YUMMY!!
Jgurl
I ordered the deluxe bbq cheeseburger, it was nice but I have had better burgers. The wings however are amazing, the hot n spicy is literally HOT but goes down well with a chocolate shake.
CCS
It’s a nice and casual place despite being in Skycity. The live acoustic music on Wednesdays are a really nice touch. The place has a nice ambiance and it never gets overly noisy even with the live background music. <br/><br/>I go here every couple of weeks for their Wednesday Wings deal ($1 each). The hot wings aren’t too spicy (I’m a hot sauce aficionado so disregard that) but they aren’t bland either, they’re just right for everyone. The honey soy wings are good too. <br/><br/>Aside from the wings, I’d like to say the majority of the food is pretty good. The burgers are all good and decent tasting despite them falling apart from too much filling like many places. It’s all standard fare done right and they’ve kept up the standard over the years I’ve visited. <br/><br/>The tap beer follows tread set by the food. It’s all good quality beer that a craft drinker wouldn’t snob at and a regular beer drinker wouldn’t be confused by. On a side note, the house soda is really nice.
Anna Griffin
Considering this place is in skycity I was expecting much more. Came there with colleagues for a weekday lunch-chips were good and Vegetarian burger was apparently very good but mine and my colleague ‘s cheeseburgers weren’t. Beef patty was very dry, over cooked, sauces super salty and didn’t add anything positive to the overall taste. There was no tomato or lettuce to cut through the dryness. And it was a 25min wait for 3 burgers...
Brendon Ton
Came here to try out the Buffalo wings. Really cool vibe and atmosphere, had the Chicken burger which was good, and the Peanut Butter shake drink also good. Wings are ok, but overall good place :)
Terina Choi
Went and ate here last night. The food was so good. I have alot of food that seem basic but are really well made and this place nailed it. Cheeseburger, fish burger, honey soy wings and a nutella and banana shake. It was perfect!

I love this new addition to the restaurant line up at SKYCITY. Andy’s has such a feel good vibe about it and gives a really good American burger joint experience.<br/><br/>Their brioches are quite soft and often times fall apart as you try to eat your burger but that doesn’t even matter when the food tastes so good! I usually get ‘the Cali’ burger. <br/><br/>Whilst I’ve never tried them, they do have unique milkshakes.
Emily Gardiner
Yummy burgers, good selection of sides and shakes that a regular burger bar doesnt usually offer, in the sky tower and casino so that's another plus, good value for money and great customer service.
Ashleigh Hea
My only regret is not ordering enough wings, they were so good! I also recommend the halloumi fries! The burger was also really good, I ordered the deluxe bbq burger. I regret not trying something different so I will getting the lamb one next time! I'll definitely come back , hopefully with more room in my belly for those wings !!!
Nadya Carisa
GREAT chicken wings and pork ribs. Fries are great too. The burgers are alright but everything else was superb! I prefer the fish&chips than the burger. Great service too
Michelle Ma Belle
Nice vibrant dining environment. We were quite lucky as it was Friday night and they had a really good life band on. Great place to watch rugby too.<br/><br/>All of us enjoyed our burgers, the filling was flavorful, and even the brioche buns were yummy. All of the burgers were served with fries too so the serving sizes were very decent. For sides, would recommend the hot wings: the buffalo sauce with the blue cheese dip was magical! <br/><br/>Very good price & value for being in the sky tower.

It’s my second time to eat at Andy’s Burgers and Bar. I’m glad I ordered the special of the day — the burger truffle melt (I hope I got the name right, I’m quite sure that the key words are right there). It has juicy patty, bacon and truffle mushroom sauce. I’ve been craving for anything truffle since I’ve moved to Auckland but couldn’t find any truffle dish, not even pasta. I was sooo glad that I found this one. And it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy, the truffle mushroom sauce tastes just quite right. One thing’s for sure, I’ll definitely come back for this. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!<br/>We also ordered pork crackling. It was freshly-cooked to the point that I still heard it crackling when served.
Kirstin Lucas
The staff were lovely but seemed slightly disorganised: drinks announced but placed on table far from the person who raised their hand to say it was theirs, no food menus, yes we have cocktails... no not those ones... no we can't tell you what we have... Luckily my burger was really nice and the peanut butter thickshake good too.

Okay place to eat don't forget to grab your membership card you get some items cheaper they are super friendly and you could get nice drinks here too

I've been wanting to check out Andy's since it first opened up since alot of my male friends raved about it so here goes:<br/>The Persian - Lamb patty is not minced up but a slab of lamb, cooked well, really juicy and tasty, not a fan of the chorizo which didn’t add much to the flavours and made it harder to chew, sour cream really cut through the richness of the lamb and went well with the salsa, can’t comment on the buns because swapped to lettuce wrapping (eating out too much re August Restaurant Month), burger looked small when it came out but actually perfect amount as it comes with fries 7/10 not my fav burger unlikely I would get again<br/><br/>Kumara fries - just the right thickness (or thinness should I say since I like thinner fries - think Maccas fries), sweet on the inside, crunchy on the outside 10/10 (costs $3 extra to change to kumara fries which is ridic but I’d do it)<br/><br/>Short rib & jalapeño nuggets - dang these are sooo crunchy on the outside but just melts on the inside, the short rib is so tender and the jalapeños give it the perfect punch of flavour, and goes so well with the white sauce 10/10 and worth the 10bucks<br/><br/>Hot wings ($1 each on Wednesdays) - i wouldn’t pay for this if it wasn’t on a Wednesday as the wings are quite small but they are very tender and smothered in hot sauce which goes well with the blue cheese dip, but both flavours are quite strong not my most favourite flavours for wings 7/10<br/><br/>Side note: I like the atmosphere of the bar & restaurant - good amount of spacing so you don't feel squished, tvs to watch sports, but ofc you gotta pay for the prices since it is in skycity<br/><br/>I'd come back to try out the cheeseburger

We went for a bite to Andy's last night and according to Google the place is open till 10pm to enter from the main entrance. We reached there at 9:15pm and told that they were closed and we had to enter from the casino. Why? If you advertise on Google saying you're open till 10pm then stay open till 10pm and let people enter.<br/>The food otherwise is good and have always loved it but was just annoyed with the attitude of the staff.

Really great selection for burgers and super filling! Tried the fish burger and it was generous and just what I was craving for, I wouldn't say it's for everyone because the wasabi mayo may not to be for everyone's taste but it was not super spicy and it comes with a side of fries. But be mindful when ordering sauces, they're an extra charge and doesn't come with ur meals if u want something other than the ketchup or mustard or chilli sauce.<br/>Also because it's at sky city the price is a bit on the expensive side😊

Was expeting more from this famous burger. Nothing was particularly wrong, but it was just too avarage, specially for a place in a prime location. The bread was only ok and the burger patty could be thicker and juicer. In the end what I liled the most was the light, refreshing housemade pomegranate soda.

Checked-in at Andy’s Burger on a Friday night and our first impression was - it was rowdy! But don’t get us wrong, we liked it the way it is. The surrounding noise was a blend of people chatting about their rough week at work, a rugby game being played on the TV screen, and a jam of UB40’s “Red red wine.” Definitely not a place for a quiet dinner, but a good spot for a Friday chill with friends or work colleagues.<br/><br/>I got their Deluxe BBQ Cheeseburger for $16.50 and it was really tasty. Aside from the juicy patty, I enjoyed the McClure’s pickles and the bacon mayo (😋) on my burger. We also tried the Andy’s Hot Wings but I was not really a fan of it except its blue cheese dip. Then I decided to go for the Strawberry and Lime soda for my drink and it was a good choice. <br/><br/>Overall, we had a pleasant experience here. The staff are very accommodating and were really well-composed despite a busy Friday night. Cheers 🍻 to that!

Great service with lovely staff and fast to the table. Edible but nothing special. Not over priced for what you get. Just nothing to write home about.

Yummm!! Delicious burgers with generous amounts of ingredients inside! They also have shakes which are on point! The atmosphere is one of the best I’ve eaten in and I would definitely go back again!!!

Good service. Food was good too<br/>Had crabby crab burger with kumara fries.<br/>Kumara fries was crispy and juicy. However the crabby meat itself was alittle bit too small comparing with the bun of the burger. extra fillings would be nice. Overall tasty.

The service is fantastic and friendly.<br/><br/>The burger is so delicious and well executed.<br/>You can have your beef patty medium or well done.<br/><br/>The place is spacious with nice interior and great for large group.<br/><br/>Price is affordable and the best thing is they open late.
Swetha
The staff was friendly and the food was great. Considering it was a busy Friday night the wait wasn’t too long and the food was amazing. The staff were really friendly and the service was great

This is by far the worst restaurant in SkyCity and the worst burger place in Auckland. Service is average the buns for the burgers weren’t fresh. Very stingy with the amount of fries given. Been to better burger places with lower price. Hot wingers were small and the sauce doesn’t taste good. Environment is good though with free sports on big screen. Other than that, don’t know how this place can have 4 out of 5. More like less than 1.

Second time I'd been here, yesterday. Originally discovered Andy's on my quest for awesome burgers. First time: outstanding burgers, but the lamb ribs (no longer available) appeared to have no salt (takeaway order, but you know they would have fixed that).<br/>Dined in this time. Service was friendly, food didn't take too long and all dishes came out together, hot. All burgers were fantastic and well presented. BBQ sauce was a little rich, but my fries mopped up any excess. Excellent being able to order a med-rare burger (that flavour!). Burgers may appear smaller than your average fare, but they come with fries and with the rich flavours and good ingredients - you *know* you've been burgered.

I am obsessed with Andys! They have $1 wings every Wednesday. I always get their hot wings because they’re so good! (They aren’t actually spicy) their chocolate milkshake is good for those who love some intense chocolate. The strawberry milkshake is really good, it tastes fresh. I highly recommend going to Andy’s on Wednesday’s for their $1 wings, milkshakes and fries

Came here with a large group for a birthday dinner. Ordered the Deluxe BBQ Cheeseburger (medium rare) and a bottle of Magners Berry Cider. The service was quick which was great on a busy night. The ambience and location was a bonus filled with good music, sport and access to the casino. The burger included more than your average cheeseburger with the bacon and sauces inside adding that little bit more. The fries were good nothing special.
Safwaan
Defiantly the best wings out there. Service has always been great and staff are very friendly. Cheap parking if you spend $40 or more which is great!
Yt.khoo
Did not like the food - chicken wings, chips, etc. Just wouldnt even bother to go back again. Opening times are good but still, really not worth to go for such not tasty food.
Nikhita Amin
It is extremely hard to find a good vegetarian burger around in Auckland and Andys burgers is the place where you would find one.<br/>The burger was massive with ample amount of filling. The patty was the most delicious patty I have ever had. <br/>All in all if your craving burgers - think no more , this is the place to be :)

Finally got to try it on a busy friday night! They had live singers and they absolutely made my night, beautiful voices and good song choices (HA it rhymes ) <br/><br/>I got the cheese burger cooked at medium, it was delicious, perfect portion too, not too big or small yet super satisfying. Kumara fries are very good but onion rings were the best omg ... YUM<br/><br/>Will come back for drinks next time, was too tired to get any but will be back ! >:D
Roger DD
First time here, great ambiance and good service too. We ordered burgers with sweet potatoes chips but was given fries but we got complimentary sweet potatoes chips due to the kitchen mistakes. Arrived there just before the end of the happy hours, we ordered 3 jugs of beer at $15.50 each which was a great deal. Will definitely be back and you can sat as long as you want because they opened 24hrs too.

Burgers were nice but not amazing and I did not like the fries. The place looked quite fancy so I was expecting a bit more to be honest. There are definitely better Burger places in Auckland.
Ronald Singh
I’m pretty speechless..... I was expecting something so good, tasty & something to come back to but looks like I would never come back!! <br/>Atmosphere: was good<br/>Staff: Friendly, but wasn’t able to give recommendations because they haven’t tried anything ? Strange at least say something.<br/>Food: where to start... Dry lamb ribs, Soft shell crab smelt and tasted old! The fries and onion rings tasted like something that I could of bought from a fast food for $2<br/>Overall I wasn’t satisfied, I heard and saw good reviews but it didn’t meet my expectations! <br/>I’m not a picky customer I know my food, and I know what’s good! <br/>
Dxlche
This is not a full review as we only stopped here for a snack. <br/>We went through the casino side as the other side had a line. When we sat down the waiter quickly came over with menus and water. <br/>We ordered a small fries and a Truffle Mayo. The fries come with tomato sauce. <br/>The fries were as good as any. The truffle mayo was amazing. It was creamy and had a subtle hint of truffle flavour. Quite the upgrade from your classic mayonnaise. The tomato sauce was also a hit, it was not as thick but it definitely contained different herbs and tasted almost like it could be a pasta sauce. <br/>

I'm disappointed.<br/>Been here three times. Just the first time was great. It's a shame as the food is not bad, but service needs improvement. not all the items from the menu are available. made an order at the same time my three friends did, but my order came out 15 minutes later. A burger that wasn't fully cooked. No explanation but a comment from the waiter saying that she did put the order through.
Rockran Rocky
Enjoyed the wings over lunch. Haven’t tried anything else yet. The beer was chilled and the chips decent. Ambience is about average for the type of place
Marggie Pascua
Ambience and the place is great. Food was average and the price is a little bit on the pricey side. $2 extra for mayo on the side that isn’t that great is definitely not worth it. Went here today with my office mates for lunch, it wasn’t that busy so you can easily get a table. Service was good and it didn’t really take that long for the food to arrive. It sucks though how the toilets were not available in the same floor so you have to navigate your way to the ground floor and look for it. Not the restaurant’s fault but just very disappointing
Faiz Dholkawala
Worst service ever. Waiter charged us normal prices even though we were Premier Rewards members. Paid unknowingly only for my partner to suspect something was wrong. We came back two minutes later and the waiter immediately knew he had messed up. We didn't even mention what was wrong when he owned up and said "I guess you're here for your extra money". Duh. When I tell him that it makes sense morally he asks again "So you do want your money back then?". Yes! I want my money back! I don't want to be cheated. And you don't need to keep asking me if I want it back or not! You OWE it back to me. It's not an either or. Anyway, he removes it quietly from the till and hands me back the extra charged on all items. Didn't even log it onto the system. Don't know what his management is doing. Obviously not taking care of such dubious activity.<br/><br/>Please PLEASE see that you're charged rightly at this restaurant. Highly despicable.

Loved their milkshake and service but what tf happened to the beef brisket. It was so incredibly dry they might as well have served jerky. Disappoint.
Lucy
Burgers are absolutely amazing and they have a great menu too, the staff are a bit oblivious to the needs of customers but that doesn’t take away from how good the food is

Andys! Been meaning to go here for a while since I’d last only had their hot wings. This time around we seated ourselves and were soon greeted uncomfortably by a waitress who I thought was going to ask us to move. Turns out her body language and tone of voice was just how she presented herself. Ordered the pulled pork burger with fries, a cali burger with fries, 1/4 kg honey soy wings and roasted cauliflower with cheese sauce. <br/>The two smaller plates came out first, the chicken wings were very soy flavoured! Super salty! I had to use the provided hot sauce to manage through my half of the plate. I later had the same review from my mother, if you like salt, definitely recommend them. <br/>The cauliflower in comparison was super bland! A little bit burnt (that may have just been the rustic presentation though). <br/>Burgers came out in time for me to be saved by the fries (can never go wrong with fries)<br/>My pork burger was very flavoursome, with tender and juicy pulled pork. The cali burger was in my partners opinion undercooked. We tried our best to devour everything anyway.
Kara
went there for the first time today, Was seated right away and given a menu was going well, <br/>we ordered two drinks (which came straight away) <br/>and two lamb burgers and chicken wings, <br/>we were a bit annoyed to see the people who came in after, got their burgers first ( three of them and two of us) <br/>Then when our burgers came they were nice but the buns were super dry.we were waiting and waiting but our chicken wings never came, we ended up eating our burgers and then a waitress asked if we were ok, I said we ordered chicken wings but they never came, the waitress then laughed about it. We left without getting our chicken wings :(

Backdated when the NBA finals were on, Andy’s burger bar was an excellent spot to catch the finals while enjoying a delicious meal. A fantastic atmosphere for the finals, there were a little bit too much Golden State Bandwagon fans for my liking. I had the cheeseburger combo, the burger was a good size and it was nice that the beef patties had some weight in them. <br/><br/>Showstopper: Awesome venue to watch the NBA finals and the burgers are great as well.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B+
A Wee Bit Critical
Love this restaurant! Whether it being the friendly staff that have such a great sense of humour, or the quality of the food! The pork burger is by far my favourite, but you cannot skip past the hot wings and a cheeky beer. 10/10 would recommend!
Mary Underwood
Service is always consistent here. Love the ribs, very tasty and you can't go past the chicken wings. They have great specials for premier members. Also have another restaurant so you can bring your family members without accessing the casino floor.
Waiwera
I drop in here after playing at the casino.<br/>They can make a lovely burger BUT their downfall is consistency.<br/>For instance, I used to love the smoked cheddar on the cheeseburgers, but now they’ve changed it but not changed it on the menu.<br/>Sometimes they ask how you would like the burger cooked, sometimes not. So it can be anywhere between rare and well done. <br/>Few tweaks and this place would be golden :)
The Burger Man
Still on my search to find the Spur Rib replacement that is nearby.  I enjoyed the chips and the ribs.  These were cooked over a flame which is how it is meant to be!  Though they are located right inside Sky City up near the casino which is probably why I had never tried it before.  Service was friendly, no complaints and I did enjoy these ribs and they were well priced as well.  $20 for a decent sized portion of Ribs but you do need to order the chips as an extra.  They are very close to Spur Ribs but not there yet.  Very spicy as well but I was happy and satisfied.  Already recommended to colleagues and would go again given the opportunity.  Still yet to try the Ribs at Dixies Devonport.  The pictures from there look fantastic.

Excellent customer service and ambience, great food and child friendly. We totally enjoyed the music and atmosphere here. We had the Deluxe BBQ cheeseburger, Cali classic burger, Andy’s hot wings, BBQ ribs, fish and chips, Oreo cheesecake, strawberry shake, Nutella shake and Nutella/Peanut butter shake. They are all delicious!! We had a great dining experience and will definitely come back.
Charlotteraju
Very yummy burgers, alright serving sizes that are filling. The ambience is very neat and aesthetically pleasing. Its good how theres a section in the middle for the bar too

Have been here a couple of times with my mates and my partner. It is such a great place to hang out and also the service was so friendly and attentive! Burgers are top notch, and you can never go wrong with the hot wings! If you don’t like it spicy, go for the honey wings. They’re just as delicious :) keep up the good work! <br/>p.s: sorry I didn’t take photo of the burgers as we were so hungry lol. But we had the chicken, cheese, and texas bbq brisket burgers. They’re amazing!

We have been to Andy's so many times and honestly cannot fault it! Insanely delicious, tender and juicy burgers to die for! There is plenty of choice for burgers, from pork to chicken to beef etc. All can be easily personalised, adding ingredients or removing them. Also come with fries, with food to easily fill. Staff provide quick service and are friendly and attentive. Only one recommendation would be to order a side just to ensure you are filled up - we always order wings and these are a big favourite with my family! We will of course be back for these great burgers at great prices!
Indypindy05
The burgers are delicious and definitely worth the amount you get for them. If you're keen to try something new, get the steak fries with bacon mayo 😘 yummy asf!

I’ve been to Andy’s burger three times and honestly looking forward to the next time I go there! Service is absolutely outstanding, waitresses are bubbly and know how to crack harmless jokes every now and then. Their burgers here are delicious especially with the side of steak fries (which I recommend getting bacon mayo with) their wings are so crispy and juicy and thick shakes are super refreshing. Though recently I passed the restaurant in the morning and came to find that they do breakfast buffets! Which are even more delicious! Eggs are creamy and fluffy, bacon is smoked and crispy and mushrooms and pancakes and to die for!
Carmon Lau
the chicken burger not that good now compare with the time when they newly open, chickens are dried and over cooked.  I like their lamb rib and fries, garden salad, always fresh.
Jay
There's something off about trying to dine in the middle of a casino. Take your eyes off the food or company for one second -bam- there's a slot machine, or a burly blue jacketed security guard standing watch. Despite this, the burgers are pretty average for the somewhat above average price, but the thick shakes are decent. Service and Staff are really good too - but I just can't shake the feeling that I'm being setup for a night of baccarat.
Pinny Quinlan
Andy's burgers and bar is the best!! Yummy burgers and frys.. sauces are delicious and tasty... reasonable price.. recommend if your after a burger and a beer while watching the game 🙌
Ashley
Went with 3 other people. I ordered fries and croquettes. The fries were average luke warm and my croquettes cake out and when I took a bite of the first one it was still cold in the filling. I sent the plate back, and when the new ones arrived at the table. They were significantly darker than the original ones and the inside was hot but the outer shell was on the burnt side so didn't have a good flavor. I didn't send them back because I felt like the staff should of come and checked on the meals once everyone had them. Also my dining buddies felt the quality and quantity had decreased since first dining here a year ago.
Annie Wilson
I had 1/4 hot chicken wings and they were delicious, and totally worthy the price of $11.50 (top of my head). My partner had a beef burger which he said was alright, nothing amazing but above average & worth the price as it comes with fries! <br/>Overall I think this place is great for a quick eat, group catch up, or when your drunk and wanting a good feed! (It's open 24hrs and service is pretty spot on!) <br/>Don't be fooled if it doesn't look busy it's a big bar with seats all around the place!
I'm A Foodie
I got a coupon of free fried chicken wings from Casino. Although I only ordered the free fried chicken for taking way, the staff packed it very well. The chicken is crispy and I like them. Also recommended by my friend, their burgers are delicious. Next time I will go try them.
Sofy
I came here with my boyfriend on tuesday night ..atmosphere was nice and staff very friendly <br/>I love halloumi ...so I tryed their halloumi chips instead of a classic french fries... but the halloumi chips wasn't that good, they were small and dry the cheese doesn't taste at all..I think the flour or mix which cover it, is too thick and just change the whole idea i was very dissapointed..however the hot wings were soo yummy, tasty and spicy ...my boyfriend had the deluxe bbq cheeseburger and he really enjoyed but could be a little better with more fryes. It was a good experience for a casual drinks and snacks.

Andy's is one of the best places to go for burgers in Auckland! <br/>amazing food, great atmosphere and affordable 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Loved the food here! Great little burger bar inside the Skycity complex, very affordable and the burgers were amazing. Definitely will be going again and being 24 hours is convenient too!

Great variety of burgers with more awesome sides.Really enjoyed the visit to Andy's burger.<br/>Relished hot wings, falafel, chicken and falafel burger.<br/>
May Lee
We started off with some falafels and hot wings, both were enjoyable and tasty. The falafels were slightly dry but the dressing was delicious so I smothered them in it, the hot wings came with a blue cheese dressing which I'm not a fan of but the wings were good on their own anyway. Next we had the deluxe bbq cheeseburger and a chicken burger. The meat in both burgers had a nice charred flavour but they were dry, not well seasoned and just not very flavoursome overall. Perhaps it's lacking a good sauce or a better combination of ingredients to tie everything together. <br/><br/>I've given it a 4/5 rating because the tasty appetisers and good service we received made up a little for the underwhelming burgers we had.
Tbroadley
Love the burgers here. The steak fries as a side are super yum! The falafel is really good too! Anyone who likes burgers should come here. Totally cool.

First time trying this Burger shop next to casino. Tried the Lamb burger, hot wings and Washed down with Emmerson's Bookbinder.<br/>Lamb Burger was good. It's comparable to WhiteLady's burger, although it does suffer a downside from being slightly salty.<br/>The Hot Wings are great too, but again, its abit too salty.<br/>Emmerson Bookbinder was great Beer.<br/><br/>Overall, its a good place to catch up with your mates. The ambience and service is good and relaxing after a tiring day at work.
Jeffie
Personally looking for the best burger in town, my mate who is a burger fanatic brought me here, the ambience is nice enough considering it's in the middle of casino and the service is your usual standard. <br/><br/>We each had "the cheeseburger", falafel and shoestring fries. The burger I must say was exceptional, very rich and filling, delicious. Fries weren't bad but they're just fries here and the falafel was crispy on the outside but so tasteless on the inside.<br/><br/>Not the best burger in town for me but definitely a top ten, top five.
Harendra Singh
Honestly food is amazing . As I am very frequent to this place my fav are lamb burger and halloumi chips and kindly add some more drink option .<br/><br/>But today staff was so annoying I can make out that she has a two different personality on our table and other table. <br/><br/>But still I will come again as its one of my fav places in town .
Amanda Jenkins
Absolutely loved our first visit to this place. I almost don't want to give it a positive review because I want to keep it a secret. The service was great, prompt and friendly. And, the food was delicious! I had hamburger with cheese and fries. Both were cooked perfectly and I was so happy. The sodas had a little too much ice for my liking so there was hardly any liquid to drink. Hence the 4/5

Nice happening place located in the sky city tower building.<br/><br/>Seating options are either on the sofas or the high stool chairs.<br/><br/>Vibrant atmosphere with some good music playing in the background along with some live sports action on the big screens. Good place to have a chilled beer and catch a game of football or cricket live.<br/><br/>The service was a bit slow and they mixed up our orders twice. On top of that one of the waitresses was very moody which was quite irritating.<br/><br/>1) Green salad : Starting of with a health dish in a fast food joint. Fresh rocket and kale leaves tossed with some feta, hazlenuts, honey mustard vinaigrette and some balsamic vinegar. Lovely refreshing combination.<br/><br/>2) Crunchy chicken burger : a house special on the day. Did not live up to its name at all. The Patti was not at all crunchy and lacked that juiciness which led to the burger being dry. The condiments were in the form of tomatoes and a few lettuce leaves along with the dressing. ( need to be more generous in the dressing ) A disappointment might as well have tried the normal chicken burger.<br/><br/>3) Falafel burger : Decent burger with some good ingredients. The falafels were nice and were accompanied with roasted sesame mayo, cucumbers, carrots and sprout salads. Being a vegetarian, I have eaten this type of burger all over and this was similar to the rest of the pack.<br/><br/>4) Fish and chips : Highlight of the food here I would say were their fish and chips. It was nice and crunchy on the outside with that golden brown flavour. The fish was nice and soft and the remoulade sauce was really good. Worth trying this dish here.<br/><br/>Overall an average experience in terms of food and service for the price we paid . Guess it is more of a place just to chill have a couple of drinks, starters and enjoy the atmosphere.<br/>
Sharon Harvey
Good burgers and chips. Also got chicken nibbles as they had a special on them. They were really tasty. Customer service was okay. We wanted to get the chocolate pie to share but we're told it was a 20 min wait so decided not to get it. We were also served a dirty plate though our waitress was very apologitic about it. Nice and cozy seating which was nice.

I'm not a fan of burger but came because of my husband. It's my first time having lamb burger with corn. I like the combination, quite interesting.

Andys what can I say but please dont skimp on the fries!!!! What you see is what I got. Burger was amazing, great fillings, served hot and fast! Service was great but a hand full of fries....come on.

Andy's Burger Bar was packed on a Friday night, when we wanted to find somewhere to eat and watch the league. The staff found us a table and left us some menus, then ran about doing other things. They looked very rushed and understaffed and our meals took a long time to arrive! I ordered some falafel bites and a bowl of chips. Hubby ordered a Chicken Burger. Everything food wise was an average standard. Nothing spectacular, although the falafel was enjoyable to eat. Basketball (not even top league) was on 3 of the 4 screens around me. A live performer was there, lovely voice but the speaker was much too loud. I'd given up trying to talk to my hubby by 10mins in as it was just too loud to hear. Expensive, busy and overall a not very enjoyable atmosphere. I'm not predicting a return to Andy's Burger Bar any time soon.
Nina
Not what I expected. I'm sort of on a burger journey in Auckland, trying every place I could. I ordered the Cheeseburger and my teenage boys ordered the California Burger.  I might as well have gone to a a fast food joint, it was sloppy, not tasty, too much sauce for a cheeseburger, looked cheap, portion not satisfying as BurgerFuel  Not at all gourmet burger. the only reason I gave a 2 is only because  their steak fries with Truffle Mayo was good. Else I will not return again.<br/><br/><br/>2nd visit just for steak fries and a long black coffee take away. Fries were great , I asked for ketchup and when I got to the car as you can see from the picture I got Marinara sauce instead. 😂
Remedy
BBQ Ribs and steak chips was absolutely yummy. Portion was generous well worth the money. The waiter was friendly and reasonable wait time. Would definitely dine here again.
David Gill
The staff was welcoming and very friendly service as far better than I heard about it and the food took bit time to reach but was delicious better then other fast food chains and fries are fresh n hot.<br/>Love to visit again ❤️

4/5 Taste<br/>4/5 Display <br/>4/5 Quantity <br/>3/5 Customer Service <br/><br/>Who goes to a burger place for burgers? <br/>Andy's Burger & Bar has the best hot wings.<br/>Wednesday $1 wing is what you need. <br/>I like them so much I could prob eat 20 but I dont really want to look like a pig and scare off my gf so I stick to my dozen. <br/>I suggest Little Creature's Pale Ale as the beer you order with the wings.

We came here for a late dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The chickenis cooked perfectly. Loved the spicy sour sauce. The haloumi chips is to die for with the dip. The ribs.....is so soft and melt in your mouth and not sickening. The ribs r my favourite. <br/> Totally recommended !! Will come back for sure.

This place was once a favourite stop for a quick lunch. Went there Sunday night and was disappointed. The burgers did not have enough salad and meal took over an hour to come. They did apologise and say there had been a printer issue and they managed to get the meals really fast after they found the mistake. People were friendly and atmosphere was good but I might not be so eager to go back.
Sydneyguyrojoe
Only tried the cherry choco shake, apparently it's dairy free. It's tastes better then I expected, like a cherry ripe shake. Service was attentive, filing up our water often.

Quality food, got the deluxe cheese burger and Nutella banana thick shake that's where I'll end my high note. My friends and I ordered 1/2 kg wings and the order ended up being forgotten so we decided to forgo that and instead ordered 2 apple pies and over 30 minutes later with little show from the waitor we still got the charge for the pies. Sorry, won't be rushing to come back here again, very disappointed after all the hype I had for you.

Came to Andys Burgers after a friends 21st birthday because they were open 24/7. Highly recommended by one of our friends who has been here often and was not disappointed! The place is very chill and being inside you'd almost forget you were inside sky city and right by the casino.<br/>Chicken Burger - 3 of us ordered these burgers and I had mine wrapped in lettuce. The portion sizes were massive and satisfying which I did not expect from a meal provided in sky city. The chicken thigh was perfection! Super tender and juicy. No complaints at all! <br/>The Cheeseburger - Standard and traditional cheeseburger layout but the beef patty was grilled to medium which made the burger super tender. Probably wouldn't order it though, simply because there was nothing else that made this Burger stand out compared to other gourmet cheeseburgers. But definitely a try if you love your classic burgers
Arun Theja
Best burger place I've been to in New Zealand. Staff are very friendly and always helpful with recommendations. Their lamb burger with corn kernels is to die for, and the beers form Emerson's brewery in Dunedin are the best. I will post some pics the next time I go there.
Chang Gyu Yoo
Had to wait 35minutes for my burger and chicken i was not impressed with service and all i got was drink, and they did not fill up my water and had to grab it myself
Kombie Stanley
Good atmosphere and good burgers! Both cheeseburger and fish burger are great! The most special one is the mushroom melt which is not always avaliable.<br/>Used to go to the casino side as you get the mate rate with casino's card - however if you want to get better service, better to go to another side!

Love the menu at Andy's. I went a couple of months ago, not sure if they still do the Tuesday burger deals but they're great. I had the chicken burger which was good and came with lots of shoestring fries. The highlight for me was actually the side salad. It had the tastiest dressing and was filled with feta and hazelnuts. It was also a huge salad, and for only $5 I was pleasantly surprised!

Wonderful, bright and abgreat atmosphere for a Friday night. Friends and I went there for a coffee/tea and for their desserts. The Oreo Cheesecake is absolutely delicious and is a must try. It's not too sweet and has raspberry juice and fruit as it's topping with cream. A chilled out place where you can also grab a burger and a beer and watch some sports. ⭐️

I tried their yummy burgers. I just said to myself Thanks God someone making good burgers in New Zealand. Keep it up guys. <br/>Just friendly reminder please put a bit salt in burger meat. <br/><br/>Thanks guys.....

Andy's burges & bar reminds me of a typical American diner. We thought that the food would be slighty pricey as it is inside the Sky City but we were surprised, its actuall very affordable!<br/><br/>We had the cheeseburger and oh boy it was delicious and juicy! Very mouthwatering indeed! We also ordered their hot and spicy wings. I love spicy food but the wings weren't spicy and the vinegar (an ingredient as part of the coating) was so strong that we couldnt taste the chicken!!! <br/><br/>I will come back and sample other dishes, but this place is worth a visit. <br/><br/>
Good Food, Good Mood
Surprised at how affordable the food was even though this restaurant is connected to the casino. Most places are always $$$. We ordered the falafel burger, FREE-RANGE pork ribs, and halloumi covered fries. The pork meat fell off the bone. My mate who ate the burger said the falafel wasn't dry and the burger itself was perfectly sized. Would recommend if you're visiting Sky City. If you sit outside you get the view of the sky tower if you look up!

Fancy a burger if you're in Sky city? Andy's is the place to be. Good burgers nothing fancy. Just the usual burger and chips. Convenient location, not far from the casino.

Went here with my friend , waited for a good 30 mins for our food. It seemed like people with dress standards above average were served before us, when we arrived before them. Their customer service skills are really poor. They stare at you like they wanna ask you something. They take a while to clean up your plates and they also make you pack your own takeaways. They need to smile!!! The food overall was pretty good! Their bacon mayo was bomb! The Banana Nutella shake is bomb too! If you're thinking of coming here, think about it carefully.. think about how much time you have 🤔 .

Highly disappointed at the service provided last Saturday night (25/02/17). A specific waitress was very rude in which I felt she was coming across very racial. We were celebrating a birthday in which we bought a cake in to the premises we understood not to be eaten, we sung happy bday to our friend in which she then decided to approach us straight after and REMIND us that we cannot eat the cake?? Obviously we are familiar with the policy, but to have the nerve to disrupt our celebration right there and then totally spoilt the moment for us. Then, Then she hovered around our table like a fly all night like we were a burden other than providing service and doing her job. Let me remind you, people are your consumers and the reason for your bar to stay open, your staff need to recheck themselves in customer service skills, people skills training. As a team manager for a contact centre I have never experienced such horrible service. Worse place to eat yet.

Went to Andys got seated immediately and service started off good but once our food arrived it went downhill from there. <br/><br/>Ordered the hot wings which were really good, halloumi fries - average, smoked fish burger (burger of the day) and the lamb burger. <br/><br/>Smoked fish burger was the worst I've ever had and the fish had 2 small bones I had to pull out of my mouth while eating the burger. The burger itself was dry and flavourless felt like I was choking because the bun was so dry (borderline stale), the lamb burger was better but still nothing to rave about, another dry bun. We left our burgers and the waitress cleared our table no questions asked. Went to pay at the bar and the server just told us the total $50 and pointed to the eftpos machine. <br/><br/>Would not return and for $50 I would have had a better meal at McDonalds

Seating and environment; great, food; great (such as their special burgers 👍), drinks; great (love the passionfruit & lime house soda) price; pretty good for the quality of food and staff would've been great if not for 1 staff that did and does not ask if you're done with your food (which still have food on the plate) before taking it. I still had corn on the plate then she comes out of nowhere and takes it without asking or a word (costs $6 which gets you 3 small half corn). I waited if she would realize that A CORN UNEATEN IS STILL ON THE PLATE but nope.. so Overall thoughts, was really thinking of asking whether i could only pay $4 instead of $6 since she threw my last corn away. But regardless really cool restaurant to have lunch or dinner with friends or even by yourself, won't regret it! and as for that 1 staff- will definitely not be the reason I stop coming. If ever you see this please ask before you take plates, at least ones that still have food on them. Thanks. ZomatoStudents

Atmosphere is great, large space similar to an American diner. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was okay, I had the cheeseburger and halloumi chips. The halloumi chips were coated in a sweet batter and served with sweet chili, which wasn't too bad. The cheeseburger was served with fries, which was probably the best part. The patty was oily and soaked into the buns, making them soggy. They have a good range of tap beers and it's fairly cheap during happy hour.
Where To Next Auckland
Aucklands Burger Game is strong right now, but Andy's Burgers is definitely one of the contenders for best! Juicy old school burgers with a twist. Loaded with flavours and sauce and stacked high... so good! They also have a cool selection of sides to go with them too. We say team your mouth watering burger with the classic combo of crunchy fries and shake... drools!

Last night was the first time trying Andy's burger bar and I would recommend it to any of my friends travelling to Auckland. Friendly staff and the food was great!

Went here for a burger with my flatmate. We didn't know quite what to expect from a burger spot in SkyCity, but boy were we in for a treat. We both ended up going for the BBQ pork ribs which were 3 big pieces for just under $20. The sauce was just right - sweet and savory without being over the top. It went down well with the wedges (which came with a delicious truffle mayo) and the green salad which we got as sides to share. Overall we paid under $50 altogether for a pretty satisfying meal. The waitresses were really friendly and chatty. Note to self - try their burgers next time!

We waited for legitimately 5 minutes physically standing in front of a waitress and still weren't greeted or seated or her, we walked in anyway and sat down. Although the wait wasn't too long for burgers, we both spent the next 6 hours vomiting and with stomach cramps after eating them. Ruined our night out.

I had been here before for the hot wings, and decided to try the deluxe cheeseburger this time. Food took quite a while to arrive. When it did, however, it was tasty. Fries lacked a bit of salt, but the award-winning hot sauce they have on the tables ensured every single one of them went down a treat. I'd recommend avoiding the tall tables as they're right on top of aircon vents, annoyingly.

Love the vibe of this new burger joint / diner. The service is good and food served rather quickly. <br/><br/>I had the chicken burger and hot wings. I thought the chicken burger was rather dry for my liking. I also tried the falafel burger and the slaw that came with it was so tasty that I wish it was on my chicken burger. It overpowered the falafel. The main downfall was probably the bun. Too doughy. <br/>The hot wings weren't too bad though. <br/><br/>They had some good deals when we went. with two people, buy one burger get another free if we each got a drink! <br/>Beer was way cheaper in a jug than a glass.

Been here a couple of times with friends.Firstly the wings are amazing, burgers are okay. I'm hoping this is only a one off because I got the lamb burger last time I was there and the bun was very dry I actually choked on it. Now the main reason why I'm giving it such a low rating is because the service we receive from the blonde guy is appalling! He's rude and rolls his eyes. Too bad the service wasn't good. Would have been a higher rating.
Priscilla Khang
The service here isn't that great. Staff here are quite lazy. We came here on a Wednesday around 11am so it was pretty quiet. We ordered the beef burger and got the $1 buffalo wings special. The burgers and wings were ordinary and there's nothing special or exciting about it.
LAC
Love the falafel burger. I love a saucy burger so I always ask for extra sauce which is just makes it that much better. Desserts are also pretty good.
Queena
Have heard all sorts of good stuff about this place. Glad we finally made it here. Service was good although it was a bit awkward when we first walked in cos no one greeted us and we didn't know whether we should take a seat or wait to be seated. <br/><br/>I ordered a lamb burger and a cherry coco thick shake and my partner ordered the barbecue ribs and a raspberry and lemon soda. Pleased to say, the food was just delicious. I really enjoyed the fries that came with my burger as well as the burger itself. Although, it was quite disappointing that the burger buns were heated and soft. It was quite 'dry' and 'cold' which was a bummer. The shake was alright. <br/><br/>My partners barbecue ribs was beautiful! The meat was falling right off the bone and was so juicy and succulent. Flavours were on point. He said that this was one of the best ribs he's ever had! 💯 <br/><br/>Honestly, would come back here again - as they say "simple things done well" 👌🏽

For some reason during my stay at Sky City hotel, we had breakfast arranged at Andy's Burgers. Although we did not have burgers, I really enjoyed having breakfast here. The variety is pretty standard (bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal, you name it) but were really delicious! I especially liked the guava juice, hash brown and tater tots. Their pastries and danishes were amazing too! Free access to all sorts of sauces were also a plus. <br/>The interior and deco is very modern and gives a relaxing and colourful vibe which I really liked. I would come back to try their burgers when in Auckland next time!

The place is done up nice. The hot wings were good. Soy wings were too weird and the coriander was missing. Now the chicken burger was inedible. Goodness knows what spice blend they put on but it was over powering. And like three leaves of salad. Bun was very dry and hardly any sauce. The beef burger was also this dire. Meat was pink as. And bun tasted stale. Again hardly any sauce so very dry. The dessert apple pie was nice but the pecan pie was burnt and the filling watery. The attraction is the fact they are open 24/7. Otherwise not somewhere I would go back in a hurry. Service was impeccable. Really attentive. UPDATED JUNE 2017: So the last few times have been terrible. Service was poor. they had either run out of chicken wings or were burnt to the crisp. The sodas were more ice than soda. And there was no coating on the halumi chips. Staff found it funny when we complained about the burnt inedible chicken wings
Alex
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. <br/><br/>Positives:<br/>Relatively good prices <br/>Good atmosphere <br/>Attentive staff <br/><br/>Negatives: <br/>The cookie burger was horrible. It tasted as though salt instead of sugar was put into the cookie batter. The only good thing about it was the ice cream. <br/><br/>Need to bring ID for the bathroom or else you have to take the elevator to the ground floor to use the bathrooms there. <br/><br/>

I'm giving a 5/5 because of the perfectly made chicken wings. Their wings aren't from Earth, nice and crisped to perfection on the outside and tender juicy flesh when biting in. You'll wonder how you can re-create this for infinite indulgence but sadly its impossible to replicate. Oh and burgers are nice.
William Whelan
Talia Dickinson and I ate awesome steak with blue cheese sauce and a side of green beans... great value for money and nice selection. <br/>The waitress was a bit new so had a bit of an awkward start but clean plates and empty glasses made for a nice lunch date

Situated in Skycity, Andy's Burgers&Bar is the best place for having a meal after enjoying the amazing view of Auckland city from the top most level of the tower.<br/><br/>Had the Thursday special Red burger and Orange Dandy Soda. The burger is to die for. Great ambience and the staff their is friendly.

I was hearing good things about this place, so I escaped the office on Friday afternoon to witness the hype first hand. <br/><br/>I was surprised how big the restaurant was. For whatever reason I was expecting a setting no larger than your average Burger Fuel, but there must've been at least 60 tables all up.<br/><br/>The ambiance makes you feel like you're in an American diner, effectively a more upbeat version of Denny's. The service however, was vastly superior to Denny's. We were welcomed and had our orders placed within five minutes of being taken to our seats. Great. <br/><br/>I ordered the lamb burger with an orange soda, and my colleague ordered the beef burger with a raspberry soda. We both thought the sodas were rubbish, and should be revamped or removed from the menu pronto. <br/><br/>Our burgers arrived after 25 minutes and things went uphill from there. My lamb was a good size and was cooked to perfection. The sweet corn salad complimented the lamb very well, and was a nice change to simply adding lettuce and tomato. The buns could have been heated slightly more, but that's just personal preference.  <br/><br/>I won't rush back here, but Andys is a very good option for those looking for a decent burger in a lively setting.

Best burgers, Best hot wings, Great service, Good value,  my all time go to! My favourite is the beef burger with haloumi YUM.
Joshy
10/10 Burgers.<br/>But should have stuck to burgers only as the place is a 'burger' place.<br/>Fish and Chips is a disappointment and they should probably just name it 'special fish and chips' or just stick to the original fish and chips. It had some sort of seeds and spices, which made it taste more like an indian fried fish...<br/>
Ffionachua
Love the concept and great location. Considering it's a burger place, I expected a little bit more from the burger. The portion size and ingredient variety were there, but the flavour just didn't quite do it for me. <br/><br/>I loved the fried chicken though (had the honey soy chicken). Was cooked really well and the flavours packed a punch. <br/><br/>While I wouldn't be rushing back to eat their burgers, I am definitely going to go back for more chicken. Oh and their thick shakes + truffle aioli dip are pretty awesome!

I thought Velvet Burger served good burgers and have only heard about Andy's Burgers from a work mate and ads of FB.<br/><br/>After being given totally crappie service from Velvet Burger on Federal- we went over to Andy's Burgers.<br/><br/>Tastiest. BURGERS. Ever!!!<br/><br/>Good value for money too.<br/><br/>Ordered the Andy's Burger with Cheese. It comes with chips. It also had a good amount of veggies - a good balanced meal I thought lol.<br/><br/>There's a lot more on the menu I'll be coming back for to try.<br/><br/>Aaaaaaaaaaand, they're open 24/7!!! It's quite spacious too. <br/><br/>The wait staff are lovely as well.<br/><br/>Already thinking of what to have for my next visit.

We went here for a friend's 31st! It's my first time here and I like the vibe or feel of the place though I'm not getting the American diner feel to it. Nonetheless, the interior was nice. <br/><br/>So I had the cheeseburger, banana&nutella shake and some wings. It was all #yummy but the winner really was their truffle mayo! I want it on everything. Haha. And the price wasn't that bad. I'll recommend this place to friends.
Sam
Great place to go if you want to be given a cold reception, make an order - get told it will be a 20 minutes wait (even though there are only 3 other people in the place) then wait 30 minutes only to be told that there is no order registered by another person! Another 20 minutes wait? ... No thank you!!

Have had a few burgers from this outlet in the past...and they been of a good standard,so back here for a late lunch today(Tuesday)..I see they advertised a 2for1 burger special deal ,which looked good on paper?....but what the...??..they only give you a choice of three burgers for this offer..which was fine??but the catch was you have 2 order a drink..4each person dining before you can receive this special..which is a hard sell..which I was wasn't willing 2accept as I just had a juice early on..so on principal decided not 2 have a burger today, even. Thou I told the severe this point,it fell on deaf ears...we ended ordering ribs, falafel&a side salad the later 2 dishes were nice..but the ribs were on the dry side and lacked sauce..but we still come back 4 the burgers another day....with no strings attached.....!!!!!

Best Hot wings/ Buffalo wings the SO has possibly ever had, and really good fish. Aniseed, fennel and a touch of curry makes a nice difference to plain old fish n chips :)

I dont know what magic you have brewing back in the kitchen but those chicken burgers were dope. Basic assemble, easy to hold and the flavours were doing a Muhammad Ali on my taste buds. That was the most softest, flavism chargrilled chicken burger I've ever had in Auckland. I'm not even mad about it being $13 because each bite was worth every blimmin' cent. Dont ever change Andy, you maintain that standard of chicken burgers and I will go forth and spread the word far and wide of your magnificent establishment. Godspeed. Oh yeah, and for my drink...I only ordered plain orange juice but thanks for adding vodka.
Julian Townsend
Six of us decided to have a birthday dinner here. Trying to rouse a waiter is difficult, but once the order was taken, the food came quickly to our table. Customer service here really needs to improve. We ordered a vodka orange but there was no vodka in it, and the wait staff insisted there was until we complained three times to other staff. In the end the manager (who said he was the one who made the drink), definately said he put vodka in the drink. They need to understand that I am the customer and I just brought 6 people here and spend $230. They sure really ruined our party. A very disappointing experience.

I saw several contrasting reviews about this restaurant but I will give this one a 4.5 .  First of all, every time we come for a  visit we always receive good service.  I like their chicken nibbles and their burgers were also very good and well-cooked.  I also enjoyed their ribs and steak the last time we visited.  I guess we were the lucky ones!!   I like this place,  it's friendly and a has a relaxed feel environment.

We checked out Andy's burgers located inside SKYCITY for a work lunch. Great spot if you want a quick fix of burgers or chicken wings. Also good selection of beverages too.
Heidi M
I ordered the beef burger  it was really good however the size and portion of the chips was pretty small .I ordered a glass of wine it was pretty cheap.
Phee Nicks
Andy's is probably one of my favourite burger joints around with great 'daily deals'. The burgers are always great (what you'd expect at a burger joint right?), but even the hotwings are fave.
Bcakl
Dropped in for a burger and beer whilst at a conference in skycity, good location, good American diner style restaurant with plenty of sport. Good sized beers and a friend got some awesome looking ribs. But my cheeseburger was underwhelming... Fantastic Patty but the bread and cheese and sauces just didn't pay it justice...more work to make the burgers world class needed. I'm keen to return for the ribs and try another burger option

I really like coming here for dessert great place to relax after a long day! The deserts are delicious. It's worth the price $12.<br/>Love the caramel my fave bit of the deserts. <br/><br/>Have had their buffet breakfast and it is worth 24.90 fresh food. Their bakery food are delicious too with a variety of breads and sweets. Lots of fresh fruits too.

The best food and the staff are just great. The service tops everything. Each pudding is so good we ordered another round of everything. The best list of bourbon. The bacon mayonnaise is a must have!! The service was flawless and efficient. Also have to mention the glassware....really nice, not just standard boring glasses, nice cut glass etc.

Visited this place yesterday afternoon, 21/July/2016. Ordered one fish burger for $ 16.50 and one green beans side dish for $ 5.00<br/><br/>Staff were friendly, decoration style is original. Comfortable seats and great music.<br/><br/>However ... during I were waiting for food, I had a look of bottled Mustard sauce. The expire date is 07/July/2016. So this mustard sauce has already expired for 14 days. I asked one female staff to bring me another one, but what she brought me back just was  another bottled mustard sauce which will be expired after 14 days on 03/August/2016, also not fresh enough.<br/><br/>Then ... more than that ... when I had a look of chilli sauce, I found that there was no any expire date was marked on the bottle. It seems that, the original expire date was scraped off by hands. I showed it to staff and asked for the reason, the answer what I got was that because they used the glass bottle for refilling the same brand chilli sauce, so the expire date was not given on it. <br/><br/>Um ... anyway ... if it was true, I was really wondering about that how did they ensure every bottle of chilli sauce was still fresh or not? They could not even manage the mustard sauce with clear expire date. <br/><br/>Back to my dishes, green bean was tasty, crispy texture and pretty color, fresh green beans made sense with peanut and salts. The fish burger, both quality and taste was not matched with its price. Bread was too dried, too thick. I only had a few bites of it then had to leave it into the plate. And ... personally ... I hate beetroot.

We had a fairly cheap feed of $50, but the burgers massive except it tastes little over average. The staff were awesome though! Nevertheless, enjoyable time. ☺☺

I went on a Saturday night so it was quite noisy but I guess it comes with the territory. The burgers were average. However the hot wings were delicious, only wish they were way more spicier! Also really liked the sauce that came with the fries. Overall would go back for the wings.
Nikki
Came here for dinner tonight, good service and very inviting. Ordered the fish and chips and partner had a burger, had an issue with the fish which was not impressed with but manager was.very helpful and very apologetic. Because of this issue got 20% off which was great. Would of liked to been asked if I Wanted another meal when mine was changed to fix problem as I actually felt sick after what happened. Thanks guys :)

Followed these guys on instagram its what bought me in for lunch last monday.. Was not disapointed: althought busy it was quick, great service from the bar people and the runners, we felt valuable and the server really took good care of my kid, offering coloring books and games :) my mate had the falafel burger, I went for the classic burger extra swiss cheese and my 4 year old for the kids menu which had a lot of different choices, not only burgers and fries! Everything was great and the pattie was medium rare, like really medium rare not "blue" like it seems to be the case these days in other places who say "medium rare" ;) All the sauces (burgers and sides) were absolutly AMAZING and clearly homemade! Plus it was cheap, we paid $50 for the 3 of us, burgers and fries, kids meal and an extra large shoestring fries bowl + extra mayo. The decor is really cool too. We had a great time, I'll definitely be back!
TheSecretFoodie
I've been here a couple of times even though the food and service is average. The staff are not attentive as we had to get our own cutlery and when our waitress served our food she just said "burger" "wings" and then left, it didn't seem like she wanted to work at all! I tried the cheeseburger the first time and it was too dry for my liking. The second time I tried the fish burger and it was not good at all. I would only recommend the hot wings and chips at Andy's burger. I will most likely be back here because it's reasonably priced and in a convenient location for me but they need to seriously improve on their customer service!
Kayla McMinn
Friends loved it here, so I decided to try it out between lectures. Burgers weren't that big, and the service was slow and the tables weren't cleared for the whole 45 minutes I was there. I think my friends like it because the fat content in the burgers, but for me this wasn't a great burger experience. I'll stick to burger fuel or burger burger.
Philip Doyle
Popped into Andy's this week for lunch as I had seen it but hadn't been in, the fit out is really cool and has an American dinner feel, it's located in SKYCITY and from the booths you look over the main foyer/entrance which is a bit of excitement. The service was good and the burgers very nice! I had the chicken burger which had lots of flavours especially liked that it had halloumi, oh and the homemade tomato sauce is on point! Recommend paying them a visit.
Luiza Ellaine Hermoso
Cheese burger is my favorite and the peanut butter shake. Ive been here many times and i always enjoy my dining experience. Good Value for the Money
Sungsam7
Late night food stop for us and one that brings mixed foodie emotions. The service fantastic for that time of the night. Our fish burgers were substandard in that the piece of fish was a pitiful size for what one pays therefore taste is also 'small'. The chips not to my liking - the size or the cut or the taste. <br/>My apple pie was extremely lemon zesty so I ate the small dollop of ice cream sat on a small dollop of salted (?) caramel sauce. Rating is for service and friendly staff.
Ash
We had the chicken burger and lamb burger, and both were SO good. Seriously. Unfortunately we went during some sort of busy rugby event, which meant that it was loud and crowded, but I can't wait to come back during a normal night to give this place another try.
Rebecca MacDonald
I love a good burger so of course had to try out the newest restaurant at Sky City, Andy's burgers. Located on level 2 I absolutely love their fit out its super cool. Their burgers were good, solid standard flavours. The only down point was they didn't have actual tomato sauce for their chips, in fact the chips didn't come with any sauce or aioli we had to ask and then were given a bbq type sauce.
Haden
Had dinner here tonight. The chicken burger I had wasn't that great, meat was dry and the bun burnt. But the chips were good and the milkshake was delicious. The waiter was also cute ;)
Claudia
Came here on a Saturday night and the place was busy and had a great vibe. I also saw on the sign that it was 24/7 so it would be a great place for late night munchies.<br/>While our drinks came promptly (Nutella/banana and peanut butter shakes), our food took over 30 minutes to arrive and we also noticed another table that arrived after us receive their food way earlier so I was a bit disappointed. It was also difficult to get the attention of our waitress as she seemed to be too busy tending to other things to notice. <br/>The lamb burgers were good and the buns were crispy on the outside which I quite enjoyed. The fries that came with it was meh. The soy wings (large size) we got were alright, but could do with more sauce/flavouring. Overall, the food was good but not too special as it was on the pricier side. <br/>But their weekday specials look quite good so I would probably return for those :)
Pamela Mansell
Love the vibe here, really great fit out. Fantastic drinks menu and the way their wine glasses are adorable. Burgers are so so, definitely not the best I've had in Auckland. Service though was very good
Annie Ren
I love the vibe that Andy's give off-it's like the perfect late night hangout place. The neon lights, train-style seating and waitresses in blue and white striped uniforms-Walking in made me feel like an American teenager ready to have his burger and fries. I did just that.<br/><br/>All of their burgers are priced around $15-$20 but the price includes shoestring fries which was a fairly good deal. I had the fish burger. The fish was crispy and the bun was very well toasted. Loved the beetroot and the mayo sauce was also very yummy. My friends had the venison burger and also enjoyed it. The only downside for that burger was the strong cumin smell.<br/><br/>We also had the hot-sauce chicken wings and that was on point! Overall I'd definitely visit again to try their other burgers. #zomato #wouldloveallyoucaneat #andy's

My friends and I stayed at Skycity hotel, Andy's burgers & bar is obviously a great convenience. We ordered a falafel burger, a cheeseburger and half kg of hot wings. Awesome food at a reasonable price. Service was good and staff were attentive. We left the restaurant full and satisfied! Now I am back to Melbourne, and I am missing their food :'( We will definitely go back if we visit Auckland again!

It's always hard to find somewhere to go for dinner with a large group leaving Friday night work drinks so we were very happy to discover Andy's. Even though it was pretty busy when we arrived we were able to be seated and quickly ordered burgers. I ordered the lamb burger was really impressed. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful and a little bit pink. All the cheeseburger orderers were equally satisfied with their burgers. Two people in the group opted for kids cheeseburgers which were a good size if you didn't want to be too stuffed. The staff were very friendly and let us colour in while we waited for our burgers. Overall a very tasty evening and I will definitely be going back.

Absolutely delicious and unique tasting food, you really can't be more satisfied than what this place left me feeling.<br/><br/>We ordered a Beef burger which had pickles, beautiful and tangy Jim Beam bourbon sauce, melted cheese and bacon, Spicy Chicken Wings and a Steak fillet which was dressed with a spicy peppery marinade... Super delicious!<br/><br/>The hosts were very friendly and we had a blast with the drinks! <br/><br/>This place is a must-do in your bucket list! Check out the pics!
Grace N Latoa
Courteous attentive staff. Shakes are /were awesome, the boys had nutella & banana shake, - everything we ordered from fish & chips, Jim Beam burger, hot wings, fish burger, steak fries...to cheeseburger..was perfect!! Will be back 🤓
Stango
I like the chips way more than their burgers. One thing I found a bit strange was that ketchup was nowhere to be seen on the tables even though mustard was. <br/><br/>Thickshakes come in a few exciting flavours. We settled with the peanut butter and the salted caramel popcorn. The first was great; the latter was just too "bitsy" for me. It was reminiscent of when you're sharing popcorn at the movies, and someone's slobbery bits fall back in the box, and into your next handful. Pre-chewed popcorn is a texture that confuses my mouth. It's a shame that the waitress didn't mention the new Squiggles Goody Goody Gumdrop flavour when we were ordering; we only saw it on the chalkboard later on.<br/><br/>It's worth noting that even though this place is "24/7" the kitchen does close at around 11 or midnight. I guess the 24/7 status is because it's a bar as well.
Hungusmcfatty
One of those places that are good for groups -has the kind of menu that will appease just about everyone. Not sure if it has bunnace though lol. The lamb patty is decent.

Big = value is one misconception people have about food outlets that always irks me, and it irks me when people complain about Andy's because of the size of their burgers (small-ish, but by no means meagre).<br/>Yes, there are bigger burgers out there for the same price, but what Andy's does, it does well. The medium-rare cheeseburger (if you can get over the pinkness of the burgers) was absolutely delicious, it was a food-gasm of molten cheese and beef. The sriracha slaw had just the right balance of creaminess and kick. The milkshake was also one of the best, right up there with the other places that turned milkshakes into a destination. As for the portions, you won't starve after eating at Andy's, but it won't make you so full and bloated you want to lie on your side and start rolling.<br/>I think Andy's is definitely an underrated place, underrated perhaps because of its confusing positioning (is Andy an American BBQ maestro who also plays blues guitar? An kiwi backyard cricket legend who cooks a mean burger? Who is Andy anyway?), perhaps because of the maze you have to go through to even get there (sometimes up the escalator and turn back, sometimes through the casino floor... It's different every time thanks to the perpetual construction at Skycity these days). I don't see it becoming a star attraction like The Depot and Grill, but Andy's definitely has potential to become a reliable venue that never fails to deliver.

My husband and I went there for dinner at around 6pm and when we walked in, a female waitress who did not look quite happy to be there took us to the nearest table. From the moment we stepped in till the food was served, not once did she smile and she looked like she had a bad day and its showing on her face. Not the best way to welcome people, IMO. <br/><br/>Food wise, we ordered the hot wings, ribs, shoestring fries and a salad. The food quality was average to poor - the hot wings are not hot and the ribs are on the salty side. The fries are okay but the salad was pretty good (maybe because it doesn't require any cooking). The food that are supposed to be served hot are only slightly warm. After that we ordered dessert at 7pm and guess what time the dessert was finally served? 7.50pm!!! And its just one pecan pie with ice cream. We asked the unfriendly waitress three times and she kept telling us 5 more minutes. I mean, how difficult is it to get a dessert out on a table? No apologies or explanations from the waitress either. Ridiculous.<br/><br/>We had a show to catch at 8pm and just when we wanted to cancel, the dessert was served. We had to eat our dessert in a rush as a result. Once again, NO APOLOGIES and EXPLANATION at all from anyone! <br/><br/>If you like mediocre food or unfriendly service or you enjoy waiting for your food, this is the best place to go! Enjoy!

The burgers are pretty good and they have quite a bit of choices. If you don't like burgers they have a few other choices. However it is the thickshakes that steal the show for me. There are some amazing choices like caramel popcorn and nutella & banana.
Meet & Eat
Andy's Burgers & Bar was a great, laid-back spot to enjoy our favourite food - burgers! The atmosphere is very pleasant and the space is quaint, with great, interesting non-alcoholic drink options. This is a big plus, as restaurants often neglect to put any thought into making this part of the menu anything more than generic. We loved the different, interesting milkshake flavours (caramel popcorn - yum!) and sodas on the menu. The food was also really good and flavourful. Service could do with some improvement.
Natasha
Went there on a Tuesday night to use up a 2 for 1 deal - were told it's only valid if you buy drinks (hadn't been mentioned before).<br/>Anyway, got a lamb and a cheeseburger with shakes. Wanted to try a Nutella shake but were told they were out of certain flavours (ughhh).<br/>Anyway the lamb burger was pretty juicy, I really liked it. Shakes were good too.<br/>Guess you're paying for what you get.

Food was amazing. Would love to rate it 5. But unfortunately, service is really bad specially the male floor staves. Asked for a tomato sauce, told us he'll be back in 15 minutes cause they don't do normal tomato sauce.

Andy's Burgers is a fantastic place to stop by for a snack or a sandwich before going to the theatre, movies or even to the casino. Sometimes there's good entertainment in the bar itself, offering a good selection of music and different promotions.<br/><br/>The prices are reasonable but that doesn't mean the food is bad, on the opposite, I has pleasantly surprised by the home-like flavours and the taste of the food.<br/><br/>The wings are fantastic, probably some of the best I had in town, real american style wings tossed in sauce with a kick of spice and the patties on the burgers were big enough.<br/><br/>I  recommended to everyone.

I did have some trouble tracking down this Burger Bar, but after a bit of detective work, found it tucked away upstairs at the casino. It replaces the super dodgy bar that used to be in the corner with the live (if you can call it that) music. So at least the improvement is a million times plus. I would be happy to come back again and it looks really kid friendly as well. They have cleverly seen what works in the market and put it all together in one place. Burgers are essentially the new standard of brioche bun with funky filling. (Burger Burger). The decor has 70s memorabilia on cast iron shelves. (Citizen Kane). The booth seating is nice. (Federal St Deli). The fact we are stuck inside a casino, with construction going on around us didn't help, and the serving team could have a bit of life injected into them, but I can imagine this is the perfect place for a late nite drunken burger feed, and with great tasting burgers and great pricing to match this place will definitely be a hit...

Super impressed with Andy's Burgers & Bar. I was apprehensive at first considering the mixed reviews but it proved to be a wonderful experience. You know you're in for an experience straight off the bat when you walk in- the fit out is a modern take on the traditional 90's style diner not unlike The Fed. I love how the little details are not overlooked, their condiments like mustard (which happens to be calorie free interestingly) is American and I'm not sure where the coke and tomato sauce is from but it definitely does not taste like the usual ones in NZ. <br/><br/>Fish Burger- I LOVE this!! The fish itself was deep fried and came with a sprinkling of curry spice which was complemented nicely with a generous helping of watercress on top. Everything worked so well and the portion of fish was quite big, I couldn't pick up my burger without everything falling out (in a good way!).<br/><br/>Ribs- great portion, saucy and tender. The meat fell off the bones easily and your fingers will be sticky after as a good rib experience should be. It comes with sauerkraut and pickles too.<br/><br/>Beef Burger- My partner ordered this and he enjoyed it but being a bit of a burger connoisseur, he felt it didn't live up to other competitors, but loves the Jim Beam burger and the original Cheeseburger<br/><br/>Also, the service here is awesome, the waitress who served us was so kind and friendly- checking up on us to see if we were going okay with everything, and even offering to take a photo of us when she saw me taking pictures on my phone. Our experience here was definitely made awesome thanks to her, and great service is the reason we all want to come back.<br/><br/>Overall, Andy's is a great place for a date with it's buzzing atmosphere and decor. The prices are hard to describe, they're very reasonable/ affordable for SkyCity standards, but on the more expensive side when comparing it to similar gourmet burger bars but they do come with complimentary chips and you'll be satisfied and full after (food looks small in the photos for some reason).

A 24/7 burger bar in the central city that isn't a chain. You can dine at Andy's during the daytime with the entrance from the sky city foyer, but the 24/7 side is entrance though the casino (R20) the late night menu is basic with a couple of burgers to chose from, sides and apple pie for dessert. The buns were soft, the burgers hot and the fries crunchy. Shoestring fries come with the burger, we also ordered a side of steak fries with the bacon Mayo, A+. I think the booth we sat in was the comfiest seat I have ever had in a restaurant. Nice new little spot for late meals, clean, comfy and good service.

First time here tonight! Was quite surprised that it's not as overpriced as everything else in SkyCity!! <br/><br/>The burger meat was cooked to medium rare, tasted fantastic and juicy!! The must get I reckon are the chicken wings! If you're into something spicy then that'll totally be your thing!

I was apprehensive about visiting based on the reviews I had seen but I was pleasantly surprised. The place looks awesome & has a really good vibe, we were greeted promptly & given a few options for tables. The staff & service was excellent we were given menus & our order was taken & served with good time. I had the steak & others I was dining with had ribs, chicken, steak fries & a cheeseburger all of the food was excellent. The portions are large & we left very full. Will defo be back.

Tried Andy's 4 times now at different times of the day and decided it's time for the review. Not sure why I kept visiting (probably because it is in a really convenient location and I really wanted to like it) but my 4th visit was the last straw. I really believe in giving places more that a couple of visits before I give a review because things can go wrong and sometimes having something bad happen on one visit is just a coincidence and isn't worth ranting about. Ah, now we come to Andy's. One of the main things is the service - it's absolutely rubbish. The first time we went in, the person that seated us had no idea what he was doing. We were confused as to wether we had to grab our own menus and sit down or what. The second, third and fourth visit wasn't much better, we ended up walking in, grabbing our own menus and seating ourselves because the staff move slow as turtles and pretend they don't see you. The first two visits were for dinner and the food was very average tasting. The third time I actually went for brunch and what I asked for was two of the Andy's equivalent of an eggs Benedict - can't remember what it is called now, with the hollandaise on the side. After waiting 20 minutes for the food to arrive when there were only two tables of people including us, we ended up getting one with sauce on the side and one completely smothered which is what we were trying to avoid. When I mentioned this to the waitress she said in a bored tone "oh sorry" and walked away. The fourth visit is the whooper. On my first visit I got the beef burger and it didn't come with fries so I got fries on the side which came with a homemade tomato sauce. Yum I love tomato sauce so I asked for a bit extra and they gave me this which was great. On the 4th visit I had the chicken burger and it came with a tiny handful of fries, the ribs, and a side salad. When I asked for tomato sauce I was told it would cost me $1, surprising since there is mustard and hot sauce sitting right on the table. I was told it was made with fresh quality ingredients so it would cost me $1. I asked if fries come with sauce and she said yes if you get a normal portion of fries you get tomato sauce but if you want it for the side of fries it will cost $1. I said that's fine and it was brought back to the table by a different waitress who seemed over friendly and sympathized with how bizarre it was that they were charging me for tomato sauce before she told me that actually it was $2 not $1. I asked her for a feedback card and had who I'm assuming was the supervisor of sorts come over and tell me that they would take it off my bill. After a discussion with him he said so I will take it off your bill yes or no. It was never about the money, it was about how inconsistent and ridiculous there service and their staff are. Almost like the rules seems to change as the weeks go on. That's the worst impression that you can give to people when your food is very average tasting. I've never had such crappy service from any sky city restaurant and I've been to them all, even the ones inside the casino have better service. Needless to say that's the end of that I won't be going back there again. Though the supervisor did tell me that next month I would get $2 off for being a premier reward remember - no thank you. Keep your $2, it's not worth it.

Average food<br/>Bad customer service<br/>Food took almost an hour to arrive and we questioned about it the manager didn't even apologise he said something along the lines -wait it out it takes time.<br/>Its a burger joint with a massive kitchen 1 hour to whip up burgers is way too long! <br/><br/>There was no apology nothing just plain rudeness!<br/>The food? It was average for the price you pay! My burger was small and DRY the people i was with said the same about their burgers! the amount of chips you get with your order is a joke! You could probably count them that's how small the quantity is.<br/>Probably won't be visiting this place again.<br/>If there was 0 rating that is what this place would receive.<br/>Skip thos place and try Best burgers on Vulcan lane or by BCC

Stopped here for a quick dinner after a show on a friend's recommendation. So glad we did!<br/><br/>I had the pork burger (pulled pork, slaw, peanuts, mayo, and a touch of jalapeĂąo). Scrumptious! The pork was tasty, and the slaw and peanuts gave it a great texture. The burger was big enough to satisfy but small and well constructed enough to hold together while eating and not cause a mess. My husband had an equally delicious lamb burger. They have classic beef options on the menu too. <br/><br/>I enjoyed a refreshing orange house soda (unique idea!) although my husband's raspberry and lemon was yummier. <br/><br/>Overall one of the best burgers I've had in ages.

If good burgers are what you're after, stop. It's hammer time. Genuinely blown away by the stock cheeseburger. Steinlager classic is my fav beer, and to have it on tap to wash down this tasty burger, well… Accompanied with shoestring fries, green beans and slaw, good feed!<br/>

I love burgers as much as the Americans so when I heard this snazzy joint opened, I could not wait to go! <br/><br/>I had the cheese burger and my brother-burger-lover had the ribs <br/><br/>You could definately taste the quality from right from the first bite. The bun was fluffy and moist but the patty is worth the rave. You could taste the quality. A $12.50 well spent!<br/><br/>I will be returning for the nutella and banana shake!

A good copy of Burger Burger. Access to bathrooms is horrible. The decor is confused, a very confused interior designer (perhaps answers what happened to the bathrooms). Staff are pretty confused, we had to go to 3 different pay stations before they realised we were trying to pay. <br/><br/>Crickey, a bunch of Pelicans!

My new favourite burger place! And it's just located in Sky City! I just recently found out it was a 24-7 eatery which is a plus since there aren't a lot of decent food places open in late nights especially during week nights. The burgers were at reasonable prices too and each burger is served with fries! I highly recommend the popcorn milkshake! It's so heavenly! It's not your common flavour but it's definitely my new favourite!
Manic Diner
Dined here last night. I had the cheeseburger while my friend ordered the lamb burger. The burgers were juicy and tasty but I felt with my cheeseburger there should have been more cheddar and pickle...it just seemed very miserly which gave my burger just a subtle hint of cheese. We also ordered steak fries with truffle mayo because there was no evidence on the menu of fries being served with our burgers but there were definitely fries -- they were just really oily and seemed like an afterthought because there was just a small serving of it. The steak fries were just okay...but loved the truffle mayo.<br/>Other than the stony faced busboy who didn't look happy to be there, service was great!<br/>

This place has so many mixed reviews so I decided to try it for myself. The wait time for the burgers was fine, it didn't feel painfully long and I was pretty hangry. Also the waiter serving me was helpful and friendly. <br/><br/>I ordered the cheeseburger that comes with a little portion of shoestring fries ($12.50). The burger itself was really average. There was too much sauce and way too many pickles. The bottom of the bun was difficult to cut but that might have been the knife not being sharp enough...they bent really easily. The meat patty was big which was filling. Buut considering it's a cheeseburger I would've expected the cheese to be nice and not stuck to the burger so much that I thought it was fat😧 <br/><br/>The fries were airy and oily. Basically long crunchy oily things. <br/><br/>The atmosphere and seating are lovely so it's shame the burgers were such a let down buuut in the end it's personal preference isn't it 😁

Yes very good. A good burger starts with a good bun, nailed it! Nice chargrill pattie, medium rare and juicy and good char flavor. Simple ingredients great result. Didn't get any fries but did get a side of pickles, good as; glad I said no to the fries!<br/>Had a beer, mate just had water. Good service, nice chick served us - didn't want for anything. All in all I'll return and try all the burgers, fish burger looked great. Plan to take the mrs and experience a midnight burger and punt! Go Andys!! I also think it was a cool touch to have my favorite dangin American mustard on the table - how did they know!!!

I enjoyed my beef burger and loved the condiments. Came on Friday night 10.30pm. Service we had was on point, staff always filled our glasses with water when empty. Next trip to the casino definitely gonna eat here instead of that cafe style place in the casino. <br/>Would highly recommend to others, the burger was good, patty was juicy and fries nice and hot and to me the price was good for what you got. Comparable to other burger joints. Read some of the reviews before eating and was a bit hesitant but thought give it a go and it was great. Good kiwi ingredients, awesome hot sauce, no complaints from me and I have eaten at many places (even though I haven't done many reviews). My husband tried the Orea Milkshake and the peanut butter. He loved it and he swiped his casino card and got 35% off our meal. So all in all we had a great experience and will be regulars.

I regarded their cheese burger and smoothie are just average. Their pork ribs' flavour was too strong and heavy.. A bit over..and their smoothie is like milk slushy.. Which dosent have the milk shake texture..

Andy's is good for a 24 hour experience but they definitely need to work on their service. Some of the service staff were awesome while the girl who seated me forgot all about me and never came to take my order - another wait staff did when they saw me trying to grab their attention. The cheese burger is pretty darn good, the shoe string fries were very average. Mixed bag of experience. Maybe a second visit will improve the experience.

Big no no for Pork burger and cheese burger. <br/>service was so slow and cheese burger was the most salty one that i ever had. the pork burger was not warm enough. tap soda, salty burger...
Georfe Jungle
VERY AVERAGE, SMALL overpriced burger with hard dry bun, took 25 minutes for burger to arrive when restaurant was practically empty (5 patrons).<br/>I don't care what people say, a burger IS fast food whether it costs $10 or $100 and should NOT take 25-30 Min to "cook" and it is certainly not NORMAL to take that long.Nothing to get excited about........<br/>***UPDATE***<br/>Went back last week to see if things had improved.........no....it was worse...won't be back a 3rd time<br/>Place was spotless and the bartender was very friendly<br/>The Burger this time came with a small side of fries which were fine.<br/>Food arrived in a much more timely fashion this time which was a plus.<br/>As for the Burger...It was literally a ball of pure grease..............<br/>I took a couple of pictures as I started to eat it....as soon as I lifted the burger oil ran out of it onto my plate and the burger bizarrely even had oil over the top of the bun ?!?!?!<br/>I could not take a final picture as both my hands were dripping with grease, I had to ask the waiter for something to clean my hands with. (I picked up one bun and squeezed it in front of the waiter and copious amounts of oil literally ran down both my hands)<br/>The bun was a complete and soggy oily mess..........utterly disguising<br/>If this was served in America you would be sued.

Probably gonna be coming here a lot because everything about it has won me over, starting with the atmosphere. I really like the design of the place, and seeing the warm canary yellow walls and being greeted by friendly staff when walking in was definitely a good and welcoming start. <br/><br/>I came in with a few friends, one of which is vegetarian, and at the end of our meal we all left so full and satisfied with our experience. Our waitress was pretty good with everything and after letting her know about certain dietary requirements she was quick to show us items that were suitable for our table. <br/><br/>I had the lamb burger and shared the hot wings(emphasis on the hot! 🔥🔥) pickles and fries and it was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten! I love pickles so seeing that on the menu it was immediately a must have and I was not disappointed at all and the bacon Mayo we got with the fries was really strong on the bacon which I also enjoyed. The lamb burger was absolutely divine and the corn salad that was in it was just perfect I would get that as a side and just eat it non stop. If you go to Andys you simply must get the hot wings, I warn you they are super spicy(for me at least) but so good, although I couldn't finish it at the restaurant I got the rest for takeaway but I probably should've been a lot more careful bc by the time I got home the blue cheese sauce (which is a great ally in going against the spiciness) was all over the t.a box. <br/><br/>But anyways, this place has made a regular out of me and I'm gonna be stopping by a lot to get to the rest of the menu! Next on my list are those ribs ☺️

Been there twice and service has been amazing. Did not have to wait for food that long and speaking of the food. I had the cheeseburger and fries and it was delicious on both occasions. Definitely suggest many to go. The DJ was so kind and allowed me to request a song even.

Webt there around 4pm. It had a good vibe, people chilling, all spread out. Lots of staff walking around checking on meals, personally think there was too much, but then again it is 24hrs, you never know due to the location if a group might pop in. My friend and I were in burger heaven! I had the Fish burger, she had the Lamb one. Wow. I wven left the beetroot on which I never do. It was divine! I got a pretzel milkshake- presentation was great and the taste was nom nom! Fries on the small side - its like a McDonalds small. But it was yum! Def will be back again.

A tasty, juicy, fresh and well priced cheeseburger. No kidding this was probably the best hamburger I had in New Zealand. The atmosphere is great and staff very friendly.

I love how people just come on here to complain and bag restaurants. If you're from hospitality like I am. Then you should be able to understand that sometimes things go wrong. Crap hits the fan, newish restaurant. Busy day and understaffed, these things can happen to any restaurant. I came in the same day with my partner and it was busy, but were greeted kindly and seated immediately with menus and water by a lady with a good sense of humour, she let us know that there would be a wait on food. 20-30 minutes due to the fact that most people have a arrived at the same time. This is NORMAL in a busy restaurant whether it's burgers or not. We were fine with it. Our drinks got to us we had small talk with our waitress whom I assumed was manager that day and she went and explained to the tables around us what the deal is, at least people weren't left sitting wondering where there food is right? we had a BRILLIANT experience. Yes food took its time and drinks took a few minutes. But hey this was explained to us when we sat down. We were very happy with the experience and will be back. The staff were lovely and food was good. <br/>All I can say is Maybe they just need some more staff on now that it's getting busier.

Wow! Quite possibly the worst dining experience I have been part of, or witnessed.<br/>Where do I start......<br/>Walking into the entrance, my family and I were welcomed with a confused /lost girl behind a POS terminal, not knowing if she is taking an order, clearing a table or pouring a glass of water......choose one lady<br/>We (with another 2 groups that arrived at the same time) were confused whether we wait to be seated, or just take a seat as their was no signage to direct us to do one of the other.<br/><br/>The restaurant staff claimed the restaurant was busy, but from where we were standing, a handful of tables were unoccupied (customers may have left due to the lack of attention they received from the 7+ floor staff members walking around aimlessly, trying to look busy, but really looked as lost as the girl at the entrance .....).<br/>We were kind of seated (girl pointing to a dirty table) "you can.... sit... uh... here".<br/>Thank goodness we took menus from the counter, because it took another 8-10 minutes to be acknowledged (even if it was to fill the dirty glasses of water left the previous patrons).<br/>I took it upon myself to find clean water glasses and fill them myself (from the graf kindly left behind by a"staff member").<br/>Another 4 minutes passed before someone decided to grace us with there presence.<br/>Our order was finally taken abruptly with the message" food orders will take 30mins".<br/>Another 9 minutes passed before drinks arrived... While we waited for our drinks, the section we sat in saw 2 new groups arrive.<br/>1st group came in and are greeted with the same hospitality as we were on arrival... Nice<br/>2nd group entered 4-6mins after the 1st getting attention straight away, while the 1st still hadn't been given menus (or the time of day by any staff).<br/>The 2nd group eventually left after not being attended too (after the intital water drop).<br/>This prompted my partner to grab the attention of someone in a "uniform" and inform them of the lack of service shown to what were a group of American travellers that landed a mere 6 hours prior & were wanting to experience the "great, friendly" hospitality they have heard from numerous friends that have visited our shores..... I WAS EMBARSSED TO BE A KIWI that works in the hospitality industry.<br/>Our concerns were voiced to the manager and examples of the poor service were pointed out at the time too.<br/>Excuses like<br/>"we have only been open for 10 days " IS A COP OUT!.... Systems and processes should be in place from day 1.<br/>"we are understaffed" IS A COP OUT!.....We witnessed 4 staff members waiting at the food pass, staff placing menus on EMPTY tables while tables were waiting to be served, staff members avoiding tables (for what reason, I'm unsure).<br/>Eventually the food made it to our table.....<br/>Buffalo Wings - ok - $$$<br/>Chicken Burger - nice - $$<br/>Kids F&Chips - nice - $<br/><br/>The manager came back to our table as we were leaving and thanked us for our feedback and told us the meal was complementary due to our experience.<br/>A FREE MEAL WAS NEVER OUR INTENTION.<br/><br/>My intention was to spend some time together with my family (hospo hours don't allow for this often).<br/>This experience left me angry and embarrassed that a restaurant in such a prominent location as Sky City can show little(no) pride or concern for their customers.<br/>For the success of this business... I hope changes are made

The best, freshest burgers in town! You just can not go wrong with Andys. Staff is legendary and beers are cool as! Wings, ribs and steak are delicious to. Fish burger is my personal favourite tho.

Me and my partner have been here twice over the Christmas holiday's and the reason why is the hot wing's. Best butter milk fried chicken I have tasted.. Hot sauce is too hot too handle tho, but you can ask for them too leave it on the side. Rib's are good and so is the steak.. good job on that one sky city.
Live2Eat
Had great expectations from andy's. Tbh the experience was quite disappointing. Tried the lamb burger and chicken burger. Although fillings in the burgers were fine and fresh, the meat itself was huge huge letdown. The lamb mince tasted like a pre made patty and its been a while since I had skinned chicken thigh in a burger. The buns were average. On the bright side, the ambience is good and our waitress was really polite and welcoming. Chicken wings were alright. <br/>Being a burger fanatic, i was really looking fwd to this place and I could have been a regular. Perhaps some teething issues being a new set up. Will like to give it a second chance but not soon.

Disappointed.<br/><br/>We went for dinner on sunday. Even though their menu is quite simple and short the food (hamburgers) took ages to come to the table. We were told that they were running out of a few things (like french fries!!!!) so we didn't have many options. <br/><br/>They only had 3 dessert on their menu, we ordered an apple crumble and two long black coffees, that took 40 minutes to be delivered and another 5 minutes for the cutlery to be placed on the table after the desserts and coffees were served. They didn't even have jugs of hot water for the long blacks.<br/><br/>Something very uncomfortable is that they share toilets with the casino, which means that every time you want to go to the washrooms you have to take your ID with you, big problem if you have kids!!!<br/><br/>Super pricey considering that its just hamburgers and fast food.<br/>Bad service.
Nickgill88
Went there on the Opening day. Burgers were nice but try Chicken wings only if you can handle the heat. Told the waitress to have 'em without spicy sauce but they still came full on spicy, so not very happy about it. On the other hand, bar boys were spot on and more helpful. Quite liked their beer & milkshake selection. <br/>Worth a try!

My husband and i went here for our anniversary lunch and found out we were their very first customer's which we both thought was very exciting! The food was brilliant nice big portions and excellent quality ingredients we loved their bacon mayo with steak fries and would both recommend the cheeseburger! We don't live in the city but when we come back we will be sure to go back to Andy's!
