Can’t fault anything about our experience here. A group of 10, and we all loved the cocktails, the food was beyond delicious, the service was fantastic. Totally top notch evening had. Totally recommend.
Top tip: HAVE that sweet potato bread, outstanding!
We had the steak (pic 4) which was slightly disappointing😞, the steak was very chewy, and carrots was very raw & crunchy which is odd as it looked like it was cooked properly. We also had the beef burger🍔 which was absolutely beautiful! One of the best burgers we have ever had. Beef patty was juicy and so tasty with the onion rings. We loved their Espresso Martini and Strawberry Mint cocktails 🍸🍹which were super refreshing.⠀
Refreshing flavours of the pacific! Loved the seafood selection and also the bread and ribs! Thought the sizes can be a bit bigger for the price but nevertheless worth a try!
Tried this place out for my birthday dinner with the family! Loved the drinks and food but be aware the portion sizes are quite small for the price however the atmosphere and plating is amazing! Defo an insta worthy place
Had fish n chips- pretty decent. Wife had chicken yakitori salad which was very good. Washed down with strawberry mojito and a whiskey cocktail. Nice chilled out vibe with music to relax and watch the sun go down over the water....
Great food and cocktails and fun decor. Loved that there are so many options for gluten free/dairy free that are clearly marked on the menu. The chicken karaage is awesome!! Easily the best place in Wynyard Quarter for dinner and drinks ❤️

+4
Have been wanting to try this place for ages. Finally went along with a group of friends. The food was faultless other than the dumplings being a little bland.
We had the following:
- sweet potato bread: 5/5
- ika mata: 5/5 (wish there was more of it for $20)
- soft shell crab sliders: (5/5)
- Hulihuli chicken (4/5)
- beef yakitori sticks
+ x2 cocktails - our bill came too almost $200 which we left and had a second dinner elsewhere as most of the portion sizes are entree sizes.
The atmosphere is nice and very staff are very attentive and friendly.
Price vs portion sizes are really the only downfall.
But I suppose your paying for the location.
Lovely vibes in Wynyard quarter near the viaduct. Great service too and the seats are nice. The chicken yakitori salads were delicious. I like fusion food so this was refreshing.
I hadn’t heard anything about this restaurant, but purchased a early dinner 50% off coupon and decided to head along.
I was really really surprised! The Hawaiian/island/Asian fusion works quite well and provides a point of difference from the stock standard Asian fusion joints.
Their kumara bread is to die for! We got seconds of those! And everything else, including dessert (which I normally wouldn’t get) was delicious!
I’d come back and pay full price any day!
Oh I forgot the lamb ribs - don’t forget to order some of those too, they’re out of this world good
Came here with the family for dinner recently and this is the only restaurant on the Viaduct that I actually like! All the other restaurants are low quality and boring and going here was so refreshing! The only one actually worth going too to be honest. Started off with the pineapple + cardamom cooler and it was so nice and refreshing, I ended up ordering another one! My brother got the salted grapefruit and sage quencher which I tried and didn't like as it was a bit sour and salty but just not my cup of tea. To eat we got the high tide feasting plate, the chicken yakitori and we got another order of chicken kaarage to share. I loved the chicken karaage, so glad we got another order it was the perfect size and was cooked so well. I also tried the pot sticker dumplings and they were really good aswell. The actual restaurant is decorated amazingly. Definielty recommend!!
Booked here about 2 months ago for NYE 2022. So glad we did; Peter, Jade and the team were awesome. They looked after our family so well, great table, attentive service and we felt so welcome. The food was tasty and the drinks free flowing home-created cocktails. A quick walk along the wharf and we were in the thick of the NYE fireworks! Thanks Peter and Jade for also doing the Zoolander ‘Blue Steel’ look 🤣
Went for a 40th and OMG the food was divine!!! Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful staff. We loved it and will definitely be back!
Service was great. Really nice spot looking out over the harbour. Ordered the pork belly. Food was enjoyable but for the price you pay in comparison to portion size and ratio between meat and salad was a bit underwhelming. Was more like a pork belly salad.
We ate as a group and shared. The food was outstandingly fresh and tasteful with an island flare.
Standout were the tiger prawns, dumplings and chicken salad.
Staff were attentive and friendly. Recommend to anyone who enjoys good fresh food.
Great place to hang out. The ambience and arrangement of the club accentuated its tropical vibe. Being situated across the waterfront too made it unique. Good service, friendly staff.
Very cool decor throughout. Staff were friendly and service was okay. A lot of the cocktails were described by the waitress as “sweet” I had the “only fans” and was sweet but delicious! They made a house mixed drink as requested by us also. The food was hit and miss the $30 pork belly main was a big miss was cured like ham which tasted weird and drowning in sweet sauce. The best part was the crackling garnish used. The dumplings were a winner and a must-try! We got both flavours and were not disappointed with those. The char-grilled prawns were also one of my faves! 🤩
Great vibe, AWESOME coctails and very good food! We had the tempura fish and chips, the rum glased pork belly with pineapple and green chilli salsa and ember roasted tiger prawns. The presentation of all the dishes were immaculate. It would have been great to get a bigger menu with more choices but it is not always possible with staff shortages in the industry. The ember roasted tiger prawns were perfectly cooked and fresh. The fish and chips was a bit disappointing but still good, just tasted a too much batter and too little seasoning. The winner of the day was the perfectly cooked pork belly and the amazing salsa that came with it. I will go back any time for the vibe and the expertly made cocktails. The food was well price and enjoyed it immensely! I highly recommend The good luck coconut for a great night out with friends!
We met some friends here for lunch and had a great table outside with a view of the harbor.
The service was prompt and friendly.
They had plenty of beers and wines to choose from and the lunch menu had options for the meat eaters and the vegetarians in our group.
I had the fish sandwich with shoestring fries, and it was moist and delicious. My friend had their fish and chips, which was larger than most lunch portions that I have seen!
My wife had the Good Luck salad with salmon, and she enjoyed it very much.
Overall, good ambiance, great food, good service, great location near downtown and on the water, and a really good dining experience.
We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to our friends!
Great night out at this fine establishment! Booked with first table and what a great idea. Got to the restaurant on time. Maître D was warm and friendly. Atmosphere was lovely. Enjoyed the decor. Great service. Food appeared quickly.
Cocktails are amazing. We had Zombies and boy were they so tasty! Also by the time I went to drink mine the alcohol that was on fire was all gone and the lovely waitress gave me so more to add.
Highly recommend the fish entree and prawns. Definitely going again and if you add in first table dining here is a must.
Great location. Beautiful view from the outdoor area which faces the harbour. Nice and cozy indoor area. Staff is efficient and very friendly. Menu doesn't have many choices. You can choose between small portions from $15 to $22 or big portions from $20 to $30. Small portions is quite small. Nothing special about flavors.
