This Burger Burger is located right at Britomart station so handy in a central location. Which also means that it can get a bit busy, but it always worth the wait. Been here a few time with friends and has always lived up to expectation!

Better Burger is a great spot for a quick snack if you're passing thorugh the Britomart area. The fried mushroom burger is hands down the best option personally.
Recently they have added a new item to the menu, the double fried chicken burger (pictured), essentially 2 pieces of fried chicken with a beef patty in the middle; their take on the KFC Double Down. I can say it's a delight and you should give it a go before it goes!

Nice, tasty burgers which are fairly cheap. Fairly limited options so picking something isn't too hard but most of the options are great. You can add drink and fries to make a combo.
Fair amount of seating but you may have to share a table with a stranger.

Better Burger has always been known as a great burger spot and it definitely is. The burgers are fresher than a new coat of paint and the drinks are served cold and delicious. What's better is the great customer service from the staff. The cherry on top though is the compostable packaging, showing they are doing their part for the environment. Would recommend for sure!

Price for quality is amazing, double cheeseburger, fries and a coke for $14. Really nice burger flavour is awesome and chips are actual potato. Good amount of salt not too much not too little. Would recommend highly for a cheap and delicious meal.

As a transplanted American āBurgerholicā, I highly recommend this restaurant for simple, tasty burgers. Today was my 28th visit to Better Burgers. Authentic Americana! All ingredients tasted as fresh as it gets. Lettuce, tomato, dill pickles (gherkins), mayo, sauce, cheddar cheese and a slice of onion. Looking for consistency I ordered the same meal for each of my 28 visits, the double cheeseburger, fries and soda. During all 28 visits, I encountered friendly staff and waited no more than 8 minutes for my meal. All 28 burgers were exactly the same too. Excellent. The burger patties are well proportioned to the size of the buns along with a generous thick slice of cheese reminiscent of American Cheddar. The patties had just the right moisture content too. Not dried up or dripping with grease. Each visit, the buns were very warm and soft without any excessive crunch. Nice! The amount of sauce was just right too. Overall, I give the burgers at Better Burgers a 10 out of 10 for taste, value for your money and fresh ingredients. If you want a true American hamburger, then grab one at Better Burgers. They are far better than In-and-Out-Burgers in America. Try one. Youāll be back!

Burgers: very tasty, excellent medium rare patty, unique Chipotle-style sauce, good amount of vegetables.
Fries: skin-on thin fries, crispy outsides, tasty but not filling.
Shakes: very fast service for these, combine well with the burgers.
Overall great food, and at a low price - $6 for a burger, $13 for double cheeseburger combo with fries and drink. Great for lunch or after a trip to the bar.

Got off the train at Britomart feeling hungry so decided to give the place a try. Ordered double cheese burger, the beef patties are bit chewy and a bit dry. I donāt like the way the burger is being wrapped. The sauce made the wrapper so wet that is hard to separate it from the burger. The sauce is too sour. Like the fries.

I tried the cheeseburger and the epic fries. The fries were good but I was a little disappointed with the burger especially for the price. The burger was cold and it leaked everywhere when i took a bite. The staff were nice and friendly but I would not go back here.

Damn damn damn been here too many times to remember it's always a go to if I want a quick easy bite to eat. The staff are super friendly as I know a couple of them. I will either get the Cheeseburger or Hamburger and what I like about this burger joint is that you can ask for a combo which comes with fries and a drink because most trendy burger places don't do that. I actually haven't been back since they've added a chicken burger to their menu but I defiently am down to try it! Their burgers are suuuuuper good sheesh with their secret sauce ooo babe to die for!!!! The service is super quick aswell which obvioulsy is always a greenlight from me. Defiently recommend. I got a cheese burger combo, the service was very quick but my burger was leaking juices quite a lot and I got some on my pants. The place could have been kept clean because there was crumbs and drops of stuff on most of the indoor tables other than that it was a very good burger place to go to.

My partner and I were choosing between Better Burger and Burger Fuel when I told her I was craving for a burger for dinner (we havenāt tried both) and decided to go with the former since we were already near the one at Britomart. The rumor is true ā the Better Burger burgers are yummy! We tried the Mushroom Burger and the Superstar Cheeseburger, and we liked how the patties are juicy without being oily. The regular fries was okay, weāre thinking of trying the Epic fries next time we eat there.

Food: I LOVE their Burger's! Legit one of the nicest burgers you can get in AKL. They are super simple and soo delicious. I hate it when burgers come with 100 extra things inside that weren't listed on the menu - sometimes, simple is the best - and these guys definitely nail it. Oh, and those fries... yass! Decided to grab some chips on the way to the train and thought Iād try something new instead of my usual lord of the fries. Never tried any better burger mainly because it makes me sad that the veggie burger is mushroom. Love the packaging and service was decently fast, however was fairly disappointed with the service overall- I came at about 3pm on a Tuesday and the place was completely empty so the staff were having a chat (fair enough) however they took a while before actually coming to the till to get my order and felt like they didnāt start making my order for a while even though there were 3 of them and no one else to serve. At that point I wanted to dislike the place but can report that these were some of the best chips Iāve eaten (a self proclaimed chip connoisseur) and so recommend the place puRely for that reason

Came here after a night out and ordered the mushroom burger with fries. Iāve always enjoyed better burger however this burger just wasnāt as good as i remembered. Maybe there wasnāt enough sauce? There just wasnāt enough flavour. The fries were good though.

After hearing thousands of good reviews from my friends I thought I would give it a go. The mushroom burger is really nice. The salad in it is super fresh and nice. I just wish there was more flavour in the mushrooms or bigger ones - but I might just be being greedy.

Ummm I really loved the mushroom burger in the mount Eden store so I was anticipating the burger in britomart so much but...<br/>š: the mushroom patty (?) was tasteless. The mushroom taste was so weak that even the taste of lettuce and sauce inside the burger could overshadow it. I was not sure if I was actually eating a mushroom burger or notš¢<br/>āŗļø: fries were really really just deep fried so they were piping hot and nicely salted. Simplest burger options, friendly staff and fairly fast service. It can be busy around lunch time considering the amount of people coming in and out from Britomart station. I normally get the mushroom burger with its simple crumbed mushroom, tomato and lettuce. The mushroom today was a bit smaller compared to when I had it last time. Also, the bun was a little dry but overall the burger was still tasty and satisfying. The chips was very crispy.

Like the other stores the menus is simple. Which is great for people like me that take forever to order if there are lots of options.<br/><br/>Chips were crisp. Burger bun was a bit on the dry side for me. I like their paper design. You could spend ages looking at it. The store was clean and tidy and felt really new. Staff were quick and friendly.<br/><br/>The location is a bit strange to me being at one of the exits/entrances to the train station.

My buns were stale as hell, and the beef was super dry ... not juicy at all. All my fries were soggy and only just warm and were not salted. I ordered a strawberry milkshake which you could bearly taste the strawberries.... may as well just brought a vanilla one. And to top it off the staff were really rude. Looked like they were both hungover and didn't give a shit about customer service at all . No smiles , no thankyous, and minimal talking. it was almost awkward just ordering. Informal dining, seating area was okay, reason for the low score is aimed more towards the burger size and lack of parking the size of the burger buns are small, about the size of a McDonald cheese burger bun. If you want to take forever come in here. It is beyond slow. Not only does it take forever for the waitress to take your order but it also takes ages for your food to be prepared. The food is not as advertised. I honestly think McDonalds would be better than this. Never have I experienced such horrible service. Seriously do not even think of coming in here, just walk 5 steps to McDonalds...or 20 to the original Better Burger

Love love. Not disappointed yet. :) been there many times... reminds me of the infamous In-N-Out burger In California. There burgers are tasty , the setting is vibrant and lively since it's next to a bar, it is semi-outdoor. Great Thick Shakes. Yes in NZ you must specify a Thick Shake in most places else if you order a Milk Shake you'll get flavoured Milk. <br/><br/>Better Burger is still on my top list.

Update: didn't want to come here and had gone to the original Better Burger because their fries and burgers were so good but they said there was a 30 min wait and told me to come here. Didn't want to risk getting fries again so tried the cheeseburger for the first time and it was just average. Very average. If I had time, I'd rather wait 30 mins if I had to. <br/><br/>Got small fries here for $4. Reasonably fast service but the fries weren't as good as the original store, a lot were very oily and almost soggy. The original store does nice and crisp fries so this was a tad disappointing.

Really good value for a better alternative to McDonalds, at a pretty similar price point. Ā The burgers aren't bad, but you can't do better for under $10 (except 241 Tuesdays at Velvet Burger). Ā <br/><br/>My favourite thing here is actually not the burgers - it's their shoestring fries that they make right in front of you. Ā Will definitely pop by regularly just for the chips.

They really do live up to the better burger, standing and eating wasn't a problem as we had to be at a show quickly so I didn't mind shoving it down in a fast manor, my partner got a vegetarian burger and I got a double cheese burger both delicious and generous sizing with all fresh salad items used and the meat patties tasted like they should perfectly seasoned with real meat, the sauce helpings were also very generous, the chips were well salted and the staff were nice orders came out faster than expected even with a cue of people, the chocolate shake was thick and yummy, best take away meal I've had in a long time will be back as soon as possible. Loved it.

Average burgers. Went there after alot of recommendations but I have had better burgers. Ordered the chicken burger but it had small nuggests in it that kept falling out of the burger. The other burger we had was the fish burger. The patty was over fried and hard. :-/

I always wanted to try out Better Burger but never got the chance to, until yesterday. I didn't know about this new place - I thought it was the original store in Britomart. It's a very small place for quick takeaways as it is right next to the train station. I ordered a combo hamburger and it took approximately 25 minutes for my order to be ready. I heard the girl working there saying this place opened only 2 days ago, so I understand if they're still getting used to machines/orders. But I was late for my train and for a fast food/quick bites place I think 25 minutes is really slow. Food was decent - want to try the cheese burger next Ā time.
