The food came quickly. The taste was delicious, and the portion was hefty. We will go again!

I’ve been traveling around AUCKLAND. This is the best Kebab place i ever found. Two weeks in a row, basically pop by every day for their pita wrap. Amazing food. Great quality, great staffs. Big serving portion. I’m addcited to it. Fdefinitely. I tried even apply to work here. But only night shifts. Still i would love to come everyday:)If u are a kebab lover, definitely recommend this one!

I had an amazing experience at little Turkish cafe, Mahdi and surya were amazing help. Incredible experience best kebab I’ve ever had will recommend for all my friends and family. I love how the lamb is proper cuts of meat and not mince. Highly recommend incredible service.

I ordered pizza with tea and baklava. The pizza was tasty with fresh ingredients. For the Baghlava the price on the menu was 5$ for each Baghlava which is more than usual but when I checked the bill we were charged 6 per Baghlava also I ordered tea pot but got take away tea. Staffs were nice and friendly.

Love the Little Turkish Cafe. I always visit and enjoy on my Auckland trips. Nice atmosphere, very reasonable prices for tasty kebabs, large portion main menu items and also delicious side choices and desserts. Always friendly service and hard working staff (thanks for taking care of everything Maryan!) I enjoyed the large and tasty mixed plate last night. Very convenient location in central K-Road, which is a delight for people watching and social interaction if you like. Alcohol/beer available and also reasonably priced.

A wonderful boutique Turkish Cafe. The best pizza I have had cooked in a wood flame oven The food is top notch If in Krd do try this Turkish cafe You won't be disappointed.

When I’m writing this review I’m still at the shop and been a regular customer since 2018 but today I found a new to me customer service boy who was super rude in his attitude first of all when I got into the shop he didn’t acknowledge me at all he kept on doing his things then I called him for my order and in behaviour he was super rude and didn’t even know how to smile or serve a customer it made me very unhappy and below the standard with the services otherwise food was as usual.

Ordered lamb slouvaki kebab after a night out - quick service and taste soo good; Generous amount of lamb and the sauce complement the lamb really well! will be coming back 😋

Probably the best kebab place I’ve been to. To be fair, I only ever order the chicken on rice so I can’t comment on other items, but that chicken on rice is amazing. Even the hummus tastes better than normal.

Being an Arab myself i needed to taste something that reminds me of home, so i went to the little turkish cafe today and had a yummy chicken shish kabab, the food was really good. The place is cozy and popular. I'm intrigued to go and try their dessert next. I highly recommend.

This has got to be the best kebab outlet along k-road. Good menu with plenty to choose from with out getting confused on what to order.
I have tried most of the menu and all are worth every dollar spent.
Serving sizes are decent and am always full and satisfied after every meal here.
Food is always fresh and tasty.
Staff are always friendly and service is fast.
Nice change having kebab in a traditional Turkish bread instead of the normal flat pita breads. Wood fired pizza available too.
This is a sure try if you are in the city and feel like tasty kebab foods.

Great lunch place, hands down the best place to get kebabs in Auckland - only Kebab Serai on Remuera Road comes close. I typically order the Chicken Kebab on Rice, but they have an amazing Istanbul Kebab on Rice (comes with an egg, the rice is more fragrant and there are cut up chips in the rice). The serving portions for dining in are massive, and they are very generous with the sauces and hummus, which is made thick.

The lads behind the counter are always super friendly, although it can take a while to get your food during peak times as this place can be busy!

You guys have great food, but seriously.. you guys have a 50percent chance of getting my order right.. nightmare whenever i takeaway.Wrong sauces.. forgetting to prepare fries/wedges until half way through my meal.. wrong ingredients.. everything you can possibly get wrong is potentially going to go wrong.
Dani
Average pizza but was packed with toppings. It looked small but was surprisingly filling though i do think there could have been more seasoning. A nice little place to come with friends and chill as they also do shisha, quite popular these days.

Went here in my lunch hour expecting a really great kebab but sadly I was disapointed due to the lack of chicken and too much lettuce (with a couple of ants included!) . Guy before me had his plate piled high with chicken but I felt ripped off for $11.90 I expected a better kebab. Wouldn't waste my money by going back, it wasn't really a kebab, more a chicken sandwich.

Good pizzas, they put in a generous amount of cheese in their pizzas which I've rarely seen in Auckland though the seasoning could have been better. In kebabs and rice, I had expected the rice to be a bit flavoured or spicy but it was simple plain rice, had expected more flavours. Location is average, not that great. Will come back for pizzas though.

One of the best kebabs have had so far in Auckland. They serve with a real Turkish bread and not shirt on extra if you kindly ask for it. Overall, good place for k-road!

This place has one of the best kebabs in town. I especially recommend falafel kebab. The staff are friendly and the price is really affordable!

I stop by and grab takeaway at least once a week from this cafe and it is by far the best kebab that I have had in Auckland CBD. The meat is never dry, always seasoned really well and the salad is great! I always grab a piece (or two!) of carrot cake because it is moist and delicious!

Good place to chill and relax. must try wood oven pizza and hookah. Nice staff and hospitality was also good. Easy on pockets too. Had a wonderful evening here

Little Turkish Cafe:-

THE FOODOLOGIST RATING:-

FOOD:- 2.5/5 (Tasteless ,Stale ,Frozen ,Fresh Veggies)

SERVICE:- 2.5/5(Rude,Do it yourself)

AMBIANCE:- 3.5 ( Dark,Casual ,Pub Vibe ,Noisy)

CLEANLINESS:-3.5( Ok to Dine in )

VALUE FOR MONEY :- 4/5( Easy on the pocket, inexpensive)

FOOD POCKET DAMAGE:- ***/*****(Cost For 2 $25)

THE FOODOLOGIST REVIEW:-

I have always had mixed experiences during my numerous visits here . Its because the staff employed there are not trained properly or your at the behest of the staff who is preparing your food .If he is a good one you will get good cooked food and if he is new staff you want get the same quality . Once had ordered the pizza saw them removing out frozen meat from the fridge and definitely tasted frozen . The kebabs are sometimes moist and same times as dry as the Sarah desert .But the veggies and the sauces are always good .The bread they use instead of the pita is also good needs to improve on the meat

Great spot for a late night feed as they are open till like 4 in the morning most nights. The kebabs are made in Turkish bread as opposed to pita bread so its much more filling and like a sandwich. Not much to look at and the wait times can be long when they are busy. But because of that the salad is always fresh.
Nina
I really like this place. They have tasty wood fire pizza, Turkish chicken or Moroccan lamb pizza and fabulous coffee. Pizzas are good for one really hungry or two lite appetites. Small joint nice environment and usually busy and is affordable.

FALLEN SICK !
I visited this restaurant for the first time and i ordered for lamb Kabab and i have fallen sick . i was throwing up with a bad stomach. It has been a nightmare !
Im never eating here again !
Great food, great service but the only problem sometimes you can wait for food. It is hit and miss sometimes can be great and sometimes not very hot. It is always busy and friendly staff. The kebabs and chips are amazing these are my favourite things along side the wood fired tandoori pizza.

Best kebab place in Auckland to date. Generous portions, quick service and friendly staff. We always ask for extra hummus with our chicken kebab on rice because it's so nice. Although it's a bit difficult to find a park, it's great that the place always opens late.
Dirk Wessels
REAL disappointing! I ordered a lamb kebab from this place and I expected them to ask me before putting salads on as every other kebab shop I'd ever been to has done. But just to be safe I watched for a pita bread and was going to ask if it's mine. However, next minute someone passed me a rolled up piece of paper and when I asked they said I should have told them I want to specify what I want on the kebab when I ordered. First time I've heard that from any kebab shop. When I got back to the office and opened the rolled up piece of paper, there was no pita bread inside - their "kebab" is made with some bread roll. And inside, if they had any chicken in there, they could just as well have left it off - all I could taste was carrots and beetroot and other vegetables.
I'm gluten intolerant and pay the price with allergies and an upset gut when I eat wheat, so when I do order wheat (which I do sometimes because I love it), then I hope for it to be worth while... This was not!!

Always thought of it as a place for the drunk late nighters since my last visit a few years ago, but it looks a lot more friendly and nice then it did then. Lovely counter service from the two guys making the food :) I ordered a lamb kebab because I was excited to see that it was made with Turkish pide bread instead of the classic thin wraps - such delicious bread, soft and fresh! Lamb was also delicious and great mixture of salad and hummus with it. Also the Turkish chicken pizza was really delicious with toppings right to the edge, chicken a tiny bit dry but it was deliciously grilled to golden. Highly recommended. Atmosphere was close but nice, seemed reasonably newly refurbished and great view into the pizza oven - gotta love a bit of fire for feeling cosy.

Surprise of surprises!!

It's 1030 pm and I haven't had a bite. I take a stroll down K road dreading what awaits us!!

This place happens to be the only one with a small crowd and we muster courage and walk in.

I order the lamb kebab and chips.

One bite and my eyes are wide open! This easily happens to be the best kebab I have had in Auckland thus far!

I think the magic trick is to make them use their combination of sauces instead of telling them what to put in! That.... worked perfectly for me.

Don't expect service. Just order and eat.

I am certainly coming here again until I find a kebab shop better than this!

The food is good.
The worst customer service in the history of man kind
Situation a customer accidentally drops a bag of chips near the counter because the staff did not give the bag of chips properly. And the staff kindly asks the staff to pay for the new one. Really? Owner please train your staff you need profits plus customer loyalty. Never ever coming back again

Good food open late night which is an advantage. Falafel, kebab, woodfired pizza was delicious baklava was tasty however they should improve on chocolate cake other wise good experience been here

Love this place, good food, good price. Staff are always friendly. The Turkish bread is a nice change from a usual kebab. Always quick service

it's your typical kebab shop, but a little better.

They use Turkish Pide for the kebabs instead of the usual Lebanese pita bread, and that's a good thing.

They also make decent wood fire pizzas, and the new menu with traditional middle eastern dishes (proper mains cooked in the kitchen) are worth a try.

Food is always well cooked and tasty, and the service is great. Overall, it's one of the top kebab shops in Auckland in my opinion.

We love coming here after a night out and want something to take away home. The wood fire pizza here is so bomb!!! Especially the vegetarian ones.

All ingredients used are fresh and they never leave you waiting long for your food despite the wait. This definitely is an underestimated little gem in the heard of K Road.

Lovely staff to, they really give you the authentic Turkish experience.

You can never go wrong with a meal at the Little Turkish Cafe. i have been there heaps and heaps of time and everytime i just fall in love with it.. the quality of product, with the quantity and price is absolutely amazing. I have tried their Kebabs, Kebabs on rice, Shish kebabs, Turkish Salad, Dolma's and Baklava.. everything seems to be amazing. Their Pizza's are great for cheese lovers.everytime i order a meal, they add loads of sauces as per your choice, Hummus is amazing and fresh. The meat is always tender and just melts in your mouth.. seasoning is always perfect. I cant get over it and everytime we have nothing else to go for, we choose Little Turkish Cafe. Highly recommended for the Turkish Food lovers. The best thing is- its open till somewhere like 5am.. cant go hungry!! :)

This little Turkish cafe is on the busier part of K road.
Came here for lunch last weekend. My expectations were not particularly high - I did read the reviews beforehand but really felt like a kebab. They did get our order wrong and didn't admit to it which really annoyed me as I could tell the lady was not listening when I said I wanted a kebab on RICE said it twice and they still got it wrong then tried to show me the receipt as if that meant it was my fault (I was not even given a receipt to begin with).
Anyway they didn't replace it and we had it in a kebab. Chicken lamb and falafel with garlic yoghurt, hummus and hot chilli sauce.
They make their own bread - it's much better than your average kebab. In fact it's one of the better ones I've had. If yhe service was any good and they gave a damn I would have given 4 stars.
Will I go back? Yes- although they got@ my order wrong next time I will ask for a receipt and say more than twice that I want a kebab on rice.

Ive been here twice and both times the service has been terrible. I've seen them ignore customer's requests and I've had to wait an extremely long time for anything to be served. Such a shame.

Best place to have kebabs and shisha . They are the best in kebabs . I always go there late at night and there al always happy to serve you especially one of their crew member " sukh" .

Great food and very friendly service. Just ordered the wrong meal and they kindly offered to make the right one from scratch for me. Also, won't go anywhere else for my musakka fix!

I love this place, the staff are friendly, the food is always tasty and fresh, and we never have to wait long for our orders. I really enjoy that they make their own bread for the kebabs and pizza and use a wood fired oven to cook the pizza.
It has a great vibe with the music and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a chill place to eat. Great work guys!

Food is decent but Shisha is not the best. After all dubai of course has better and I have something to compare it to! Customer service is horrible. I'm surprised at the way they serve their customers. However food is decent, but let's be honest I've tried better turkish food and this place is just a great hangout with friends and some good wine. Prices are average. They even were going to charge extra for the Shisha coals. ..very unacceptable. We just ended getting a new Shisha. Ambience is like a run down cafe that totally needs serious renovation works! The staircase to the restroom is prone for hazards! The council needs to look into this...

There is definitely a lot going on in this menu! and I dont really know if they are trying to be a night club or a cafe but the place seems somewhat lost in time! a bit dinghy and clustered and it never feels comfortable enough to enjoy the food! I think they should re-evaluate and look at making the menu a lot less condensed and focus on producing quality product #g1

very nice place nice pizza and food whatever i had , staff is very nice co-operative and friendly must go place now i m a regular customer for this cafe

Not bad, we sometimes go here instead of Betsia for turkish food. Good range of dishes and well priced. Always very busy and noisy. Decent choice if you feel like a cheap eats place while on K road.

My go to place for shisha and kebabs. The food is great and the staff are fantastic. A great place for catch ups with friends or night when you want "me" time. Ive become a regular customer here and also met some amazing people in the process.

Still like it, taste is good but I think i have to mention the constant portion size decrease. Everytime i get myself a takeaway , the portion size keeps on decreasing. So minus marks for that. Not worth it with the decreasing portion size considering there are other similarly good balkan cuisine restaurants with proper portion size

This place used to be pretty good but has changed hands over the years - kebabs are very salty and if this is what you are thinking you'll have after a night drinking you will only get a worse hangover from eating the chicken or lamb kebabs here!

Pizzas on the other hand are mostly pretty good as are the turkish breads.

Staff can be abrupt, but they have to deal with the K road rabble so I guess it's fair enough they are a little hardened!

Not really a great kebab though in my opinion.

thank you thank you
i am writing this review about turkish chicken pizza i had there last night so i thank you to the chef and other staff
that was the best pizza i had .
