Great vegetarian options! Salads are packed with flavour and the sweets are great. I was given several frozen meals when my baby was born and I was grateful to have nutritious tasty meals. It isn't cheap but the price matches the quality imo, also the deli can get a bit hectic but once you're in the service is swift ✌️

Ripe Deli cheese scones are the bestttttt Fight me on this 🙆🏻♀️. Went twice last week and they'd sold out... Back up option the first time was a savoury brioche they are also DELISH. The second time was a date and citrus scone... Should have got the cinnamon brioche 🙈 I like date scones but too many dates for me... I'm also in LOVE with their salted caramel brownie and basically all their sweet food 😂

Food is always fresh and super tasty- their toasted brioche buns are a must have. They have a selection of slices/baked goods, savoury items, salads as well as juices and coffee. Staff always polite and quick to serve you. It can be busy in the mornings as its quite popular and reflects the quality of the food.

Had take away sandwiches for lunch. Yummy and interesting selection of sandwiches. Not cheap. The counter was quite chaotic, but the service itself was good. There are lots of dietary options here for the meat and gluten challenged.
I would call the food style rustic chic. Will definitely go back, but not on the reg.

Great range of fresh delicious food. Came to get some food for dinner but didn't have time to defrost so couldn't try their freezer meals but was pleased to find a "TV Box" option which has 2 size options. The small was $18 and you could get a piece of pork belly and 2 sides, not bad when compared to the price of your local roast shop! Really impressed with all the food options, have to come back for a smoothie and coffee sometime! Friendly helpful service as well 😊

Love the food. My mum has the cookbooks so coming to here is like going home to mums cooking. Only downside is it does get really busy and some of the food sells out pretty fast. Would still recommend as no matter what you get it will be good.

FAVOURITE coffee in Auckland. And Omigod the treats are Devine! They have “healthy” refined sugar free things, which don’t make you feel so guilty about life... their takeaway lunch/dinner food is delicious too! Their salads are the best around!<br/>I love walking down to ripe on the weekend and grabbing a coffee.... they’re so reasonably priced too when you bring a keep cup and they’re consistently amazing too, so it just makes sense to come time after time after time

Food very expensive but very good. They make a yummy hot chocolate. I really like their cinnamon brioche and a scone in the morning before work. All their food stuff is compostable, plates etc. Which I like lots. I get a shot of ginger syrup in my hot chocolate which is yummy.

Great deli food. I especially liked the tasty carrot salad from the cabinet. Wouldn’t recommend dining in as there’s only seating outside and no plated service. Overall a great place to grab some lunch on the go 👍

I like Ripe as it always has an awesome range of healthy salads which taste amazing. However they take portion control to the max with their $8 cake slices that are so wafer thin they represent poor value for money! Such a shame as they taste delicious.

Fave place to go for a quick sugar fix. Their slices are so enjoyable, everytime I get a chance to stop by (which is once in a blue moon) I always stop in. I haven't really tried anything else besides their cakes and slices 😊

Food: beautiful fresh food with lovely flavour! Huge portion sizes too, great value for money. I got a mix of 2 salads - both were equally tasty and I love the dukkah and roasted seeds that you can add on top! <br/><br/>Service: all very friendly ladies working there, a relaxed environment but quick service & a lot of smiles too! <br/><br/>Ambience: would be nice to have more areas for seating - maybe somewhere indoors? - I would recommend more for takeaway as there isn't many places to sit and even sitting outside you are right next to the street so not ideal. However I understand there are physical limitations to this so not a biggie!

For a healthy hit, RIPE always has a great selection of food and these guys can drop off food at your work like they do at ours! This is kale, salmon, rice, tomatoes and other bit of groucness spanked up into a lunch salad.

Had the pleasure of trying a couple of cakes from Ripe through work. First of all they look gorgeous and are a great size for feeding a group. <br/><br/>The flavours were - Carrot cake and Blueberry and sour cream. The carrot cake wasn't too rich and was very tasty. The blueberry and sour cream cake, which seems like a slightly odd mix, was a great flavour combination and the texture of this cake was perfect. Would go down well for those with a sweet tooth.<br/><br/>Would recommend to anyone wanting a impressive perfect for a special occasion.

Love coming here for a quick salad or a guilt free sweet treat. Tad on the pricey side but you're paying for amazing quality food, it really is delicious :) they have a wide variety of options and caters to the more health conscious consumers. They aren't the friendliest bunch here which is why I won't give them a 5/5.

Similar to 5 Loaves or Didas, Ripe Deli seems to be all about the cabinet. <br/><br/>Beware that there isn't much seating so get takeaway and pop down to Grey Lynn park (I've even just sat on the grassy bit near the cafe on a sunny day). <br/><br/>All the salads are good and the salmon pieces are nice too. Can turn into a bit of an expensive salad on if you're not careful though.

Oh look what can I say. Everything from here is jus blady beautiful and all the staff are too. Come here for breakfast lunch or dinner n they got u sorted eh. S/o to favorites tuna quinoa roll w spicy mayo. And the salads ofc esp beetroot beauty. So good I got both they cook books which are full of cool as seasonal recipes. Love ur work

I'm really sad to be giving this place such a low score because it has such a cool hipster vibe but I honestly couldn't find much to rave about. A lot of the food was horrifically expensive, my piece of generic tasting apricot slice cost $5. Ouch. Maybe if it was like the best slice I'd had in my life I could forgive the price. I also found it really strange nothing was brought over to our table. Maybe they're more delicatessen than cafe? I did find their recipes boxes for sale pretty cool but at the end of the day price didn't match quality and service. Sorry guys!

Whenever I walk into this place I get really excited. My eyes just pop out of my head looking at all the yummy food in the cabinets. It inspires me to make my own healthy dishes at home. I have eaten here twice. It's good to see there are more tables out the front now. Recently, I had the cauliflower fritter and it was really good. The coffee is great. The free brazil nuts, on the counter, to get your selenium boost for the day are a great touch too. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic range of salads, had ordered a large number of the mixed salads for work and everyone raved about them for weeks afterwards. Its a great place to go and relax with a coffee on a Saturday morning when the weather is nice. I am often blown away by how busy it is and the range of different meals available around the counter. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend the caeser salad or any of the salads really! They are all SO delicious. <br/><br/>I also really like the range of sweet treats they have available. As you can see below balance is key - cake and a green smoothie :)

As a delicatessen this place shines! Undoubtedly the finest selection of salads, cakes and slices on Richmond Rd (probably also greater Ponsonby for that matter :-). Admittedly seating isn't great, with a few tables outside on the footpath but then this is a deli and not a cafe, and normally it is impossible to see such a delectable selection of cakes and salads on offer, most of which you can't get anywhere else. I am always amazed at how much selection they have, the quality and the friendliness of the staff, not to mention it is always busy....

I bought a chicken ceaser wrap today. And it was delicious - there wasn't any bacon that I could see or taste, but it didn't detract from the flavour. The lemon slice was to die for - but then I love lemon curd anything. The food is pricey, but I am rarely disappointed with the food. The staff member who served me today, was very pleasant, bright and bubbly.

Stopped here for a quick lunch when in Auckland for business. Exceptionally friendly staff. Heaps of food selection. No loo (that I could see) or indoor seating which was a bit tough on a wet day. My wrap tasted very fresh and was a very generous portion. Their recipe book looks fantastic! Might have to save up and buy it next time I'm up.

Ripe is the little deli that could - while not primarily an eat-in place, on a good day the outside tables make a very pleasant place to stop and sample their food. Ripe does a great selection of counter food - salads, sandwiches, potato cakes and the likes, and has a particularly scrumptious looking array of cakes and other goodies. Clientele range from yummy mummies to people talking business to friends catching up. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.
