Review Bread & Butter - Milford - Auckland Central

Absolutely the best place in Milford to enjoy comfortable environment and friendly service for brunch!! All day breakfast and all day lunch menu rock! We ordered French Toast and Hola Benedict. They are soooooooo delicious and beautifully presented. The croissants are yummy as hell! Eggs are awesomely made. 5 stars!!

Bread and butter in Takapuna is a great place for brunch with a variety deli food and menu selection and reasonably priced. If you're looking for a quick bite or casual catch up this place would be perfect, with nice industrial aesthetics. Try the Wagyu beef burger :) recommended! It's quite convenient as well as its quite close to New world and Countdown which you could possibly do your groceries straight after down the road.

Warm and inviting cafe with well thought out menu catering to organic foodies. Smoothies are natural and delicious, coffee is great and the staff are lovely. Being NE facing, it gets a large amount of sun in the morning which is ideal in all seasons and adds to the atmosphere.
Raymond Goh
Food was good and the atmosphere is nice. A few baker's theme decorations.

It's a very modern looking cafe and extremely popular. We've been going to this place for at least a year and a half, literally from the day it started. In between the service got a bit tardy, but it's now back to a good standard. The baristas are turning out really good coffee as well, which is the reason we'd choose to visit. It's well worth the trip.

friendly people and nice service! great place to start your morning with good coffee and delicious food
Yohann Pereira
Great service and food was really good. Wanted to use my entertainment card but the cashier was a bit unwilling. Everything else was great

nice busy cafe in Milford. The chowder was delicious and perfect for this cold winter days. The coffee is so good as well.
Lorraine Scapens
This place is perfect for coffee, snacks, lunch and even ahas a kids menu.

Visiting from out of town i was looking for somewhere with atmosphere a snack or a meal or great deli cabinet. Staff are friendly and attentive. I had big breakfast, the mushrooms were to die for. Noise level was good with a little background music. I rate this place 5/5 as it ticked all the boxes. Coffee♡Food♡Atmosphere♡ I will be back and recommend to others.

Would love to give it 5 stars as the coffee service and atmosphere was great but I felt that there wasn't quite enough on the plate. Ordered eggs benedict which was just under whelming to others I have had from other cafés. I would definitely come back for the citrus French toast, was a fantastic meal!

Just great food! I was (surprisingly) just a little disappointed with the bread selection. While many of the breads are wonderful, they all seem very dense (sometimes nice, like with the breakfasts they serve) , and was looking for something akin to the Wild Wheat - Wheat Sourdough as a general purpose loaf I can buy once or twice a week locally.

Friendly welcome and good service. Nice bright location. Had an omelette that was served in a thermo nuclear hot cast iron skillet.. so was over done for me as it kept cooking. The extra bacon was very tasty but looked lost plonked on the omelette. 4 star as the coffee and service was food.
Cat Ormerod
Outstanding! Really busy when we got there but they were upfront that there would be a wait on food which was fine. Coffee was good and has the 'slow cooked rice' for breakfast which was delicious. Looking forward to going back.
Jorge Bisteni
One of our favourites on the shore, always fresh food, amazing coffee, and breads... any plate is a winner here! And the staff is bother helpful and efficient, hardly any wait and always bang on with their suggestions.
Shaun Honiball
This is a great little spot. Lovely coffee and breakfast to die for. Lots of choices available and the produce they use is fantastic quality. Definately recommend you give them a try. Oh yes and they make some delicious breads and baked goods. Including a great german style rye bread.

Brilliant food, service and atmosphere. There were no tables when we turned up but we're asked if we could wait for a few minutes, and in less than 3 they had made room for us. I was then blown away at how fast they got our meals out to us when the place was packed out. Waited less than 10 mins for food to be in front of us.
Rozie
The food and coffee are amazing as usual but this time the kid's chicken tender is a bit dry. Overall still very good. We'll come back again.

Dined here on a slightly busy Saturday but the service and food we received was better than other cafes that weren't busy. We were luckily seated right away as we walked in. The food we ordered was filling and definitely worth the trip from the other side of the bridge. Coffee was served quickly and still tasted good. Overall will gladly go back eventhough its a bit of a drive and theres bread and butter outlets closer to home.
Maggie
Bread and Butter is a nice little cafe with an aesthetically pleasing environment. I ordered a side of chips (yum) and my friend got the smash. First note: gorgeous presentation!! Like seriously this is the place to go for instagrammable food. The size did look a little small, and probably not the best value for $20
Amy
My partner and I went for brunch in the weekend and it was SUPER busy. We were virtually ignored by staff the whole time (we weren’t seated, handed menus, our order wasn’t taken - we had to go to the counter to place etc), but the food came out fast. Fairly small portions for the price, but good quality and tasty coffee.

Excellent service, nice and tidy, friendly staff and fast coffee. <br/><br/>The coffee tastes great too. Will definitely be back again. <br/><br/>Service: 5/5<br/>Environment: 5/5<br/>Presentation: 4/5<br/>Drink Quality: 4.5/5<br/>Drink Quantity: 4.5/5

Beautiful and fresh food , love my quinoa and halloumi salad big portion of goodies match with lovely mocha coffe my bf got the hola Benedict which looks yum ..overall a nice experience ..definitely comeback :)
Steph
The portions have downsized by a lot, compared to last time. This ‘lunch’ squid dish with their non-generous serving of salad was rather disappointing <br/>The tacos was nice though, good flavour.<br/>The eggs Benedict dish is much smaller now. <br/>The open and sunlit cafe environment was lovely though. <br/>Decent service <br/><br/>
Vivian C
We ordered a Summer Smoothie, Crab Omelette, Wagyu Burger, and a Pain au Chocolat.<br/><br/>Decent service, food was pretty standard although the crab in the omelette tasted a bit abnormal.<br/>Flavours were light and well suited for a hot summer’s day like the time we came.

Situated at a cute busy Milford town centre. Food as good as Grey Lynn branch. Service is great, fast and friendly. We ordered the big brekkie and chicken&mushroom pie with side fries. Our favourite is actually their baguette. We takeaway one original and sourdough baguettes. The original one is better though. One of our favs brunch spots!

So delicious. I ordered a vege roll (toasted) and the quinoa salad. There were no vegan options on the menu, however the staff were more than happy to adjust what was available. They removed the cheese from the toasted roll, and swapped the haloumi for mushrooms in the salad for no extra charge. Sparkling water is also served at the table which was very refreshing!

"Breakfast of Champignons"<br/><br/>Proof that simplicity can have just as much flavour as complex dishes. Some of the best breakfast mushrooms I've tried in a while - moist, flavourful, fresh, and with that texture that resonates a good squeaky Halloumi cheese. The egg was perfectly poached, bacon was cooked well too, and I was in pesto heaven with the spread underneath. Finally, the butter sause that accompanies the mushrooms deserves an award, as it had me struggling to discard my good manners and lick the bowl clean; not too creamy, not too watery - a bit like a milky broth of fungal deliciousness. If you like mushrooms on toast, I'd highly recommend you try this.<br/><br/>Food aside: Perfect atmosphere, attentive yet not over-bearing staff, and good coffee. No faults found.<br/><br/>I, am a happy guy 🥂

Absolutely the best place in Milford to enjoy comfortable environment and friendly service for brunch!! All day breakfast and all day lunch menu rock! <br/><br/>We ordered French Toast and Hola Benedict. They are soooooooo delicious and beautifully presented. The croissants are yummy as hell! Eggs are awesomely made. Hands down 5 stars!!

I asked if they could make anything vegan: The avocado toast is vegan if you order it without the egg, the sago is vegan, and they can make the avocado salad vegan. I just felt like toast, so they were kind enough to make me a sandwich with sourdough bread, hummus, and roasted veggies. It was delicious! <br/>I ordered a flat white with almond milk. The medium size is other cafes large, and they know how to make a good almond milk coffee! <br/>Definitely one of the best coffee's I have had at a cafe, and such a yummy sandwich!
Shelley Toman
Very average with both food and service. Personally thought that the smoothie could be a bit better. But the atmosphere is very bright and warm. Great place to hang.
C
Fabulous cafe! Great service and food and always consistently so. This cafe is the best in Milford! Highly recommend breakfast, lunch, coffees and smoothies here!
Louise
Came here during the weekend and the place was pretty full and fortunately got seating. The food took a long while to come out which was a little disappointing and the portion sizes were not as big as expected. Although the food itself was great!<br/>We wanted to order the bread and butter pudding which they unfortunately ran out of - will probably have to go back sometime just to try it out. <br/><br/>Nearing the end of the meal it felt as though we were getting shooed out as waitresses started collecting dishes and putting a reserved sign on our table. (If the table was reserved it would have been nice to have been informed beforehand rather than just have a sign slapped on the desk with no explanation) <br/>
Chillxx
It was a nice place to pop in and have a nibble. Their cabinet food displayed looked great but their meal was just average with a bit of a price. I would've preferred my mushrooms a bit more variety between buttons and portobellos (i only had a quarter of portobello) . Overall it wasn't that bad with average service.
Haidee Switzer
Awesome service, with very honest staff. Had the quinoa salad and my dad had the spiced lamb. Both super delicous with lovely presentation too
Rachel Audeau
The service of the wait staff was terrible and the portion sizes were very small. Definitely would not recommend eating here if you are looking for a nice place to eat.

Been meaning to try this cafe as everytime we walk past its always jam packed.<br/>I ordered the Breakfast for the Champignons and a sweet chai latte.<br/>I prefer creamy mushrooms and their version (consistency and flavour) just didn't cut it for me. <br/>Sweet chai latte was okay - not sweet and creamy.<br/>I still liked the food and drink but I would probably order their pastry and desserts if I come back.<br/><br/>I would rate it 3.5 stars (but can't seem to do any .5 marks on zomato now)
Lily
I really enjoyed their confectionary range and the delicious eggs Benedict. The coffee was also amazing. Really good location and normally easy to park around. I will definitely go there again.
Nicole Ralston
I find the menu really overpriced unfortunately and not sure why as the food is pretty standard and small. I wouldn’t bother visiting again and was a disappointed

Lovely little cafe to enjoy a yummy brunch.<br/><br/>My friend and I were greeted and served promptly by a very nice lady at 'Bread & Butter'. I ordered the 'Mighty Raw Salad' (and added grilled free range chicken), while my friend ordered the 'Wagyu Burger'.<br/><br/>While we waited for our food, we talked and enjoyed the lovely aesthetic of the cafe. It had a pleasant blue, white and brown colour theme, a quirky wall (with kitchen trays) and cool whisk lights. The overall atmosphere of the cafe was lovely and enjoyable.<br/><br/>The food was not only beautifully presented but tasted delicious. I enjoyed all components and flavours of the salad, but I thought the portion size of the salad should've been larger. (It was spread out on the plate to make it seem like there was more food than what was actually there.) Also the price ($6.50) of the chicken add on was quite expensive and I felt my salad deserved at least an extra two pieces. The large steak fries my friend had with her burger were yummy too - especially dipped in the cafe's special sauce.<br/><br/>Recommendations: Go for the salads if you want something easy and not messy to eat.
Emma
Brunch here was really nice. The ambience and decor was lovely and the place felt spacious and open. Cute and quirky wall decorations as well. The wagyu burger with fries was really good and very filling if a bit on the drier side. The sauce for the fries was also amazing. Iced coffee was good. Standard pricing for most brunch meals but definitely not going to be a common occurrence ($21 for the main).
Bambi
Been here 3 times now. Overall nice atmosphere and wide range of food on their menu. But food is below average and no wow factor to their coffee as well.
Jess
Absolutely delicious food, super bright and colourful. Drinks were also lovely and summery. Amazing menu with a wide variety of options but Some advice is to be mindful about busy times as you might find yourself without a table because it seems to be a very popular cafe. Totally coming back here!
Ian Webber
Excellent friendly service and great imaginative menu - highly recommend the "Breakfast of Champignons" - a delicious breakfast with mushrooms as the hero on the plate.
Cath813
Good tasty food, fresh and nice variety. The service was good., location nice and the restaurant gets full sun which makes it even more inviting. Overall a positive experience at reasonable price.

Wednesday sunny morning I walk here 2km from Hillcrest and find my distant bread and butter . The servant is nice he lead me to one nice view seat then hand me bottle of water , I order cappuccino it is strong than other cafe store and the poached egg is perfect , I'll recommend you come and try
AA
Had Coffee and pastry here to take a break from the busy Takapuna. The flatwhite was just average. The danish could do better with a bit more warming - It was as cold as Auckland's winter. Level of service was not that good, perhaps because I came in near to their closing time - Don't come in last minute, guys & gals 😁

Went here for brunch with a friend on weekday and surprisingly it's moderately packed with people. The sun shining beautifully that day and hence we decided to have our al fresco. Anyways here's my verdict for one of the most popular spot to grab a bite here in Milford.<br/>Ambiance: The restaurant is situated on Milford road only a couple of minutes walk from Milford Mall. It has a very nice vibe. Lots of seating inside and few tables in the side street if you aren't afraid getting some sun. <br/>Menu: The menu offers an all day breakfast array and some house specialties. The coffee is okay. I ordered a soy latte and i found my coffee too soy for my liking. Otherwise the caffeine addict in me has been satisfied. For my main I ordered a Wagyu beef burger with chips. It was presented well on a board. The chips were crisp and tasty which paired well with the dip but my burger on the other hand was not I expected. It tasted sour to the point that I thought it was off. I had my friend had taste and she had the same reaction. In the end I have to send it back. Apparently they've put some sauce in it that it made it taste that way. Either way it's not a flavour combination you would expect in a 20 dollar burger. The friendly wait staff has professionally returned it to kitchen and made me another one and said it's on the house, then I took it home hoping they would redeem themselves. The patty was a bit overcooked and still has tiny bit of a sour aftertaste. It's my first time having wagyu and I'm not sure if its supposed to taste this way. <br/>Service: is prompt and with efficient serve times<br/>Verdict: For a sought after restaurant here in upscale Milford I have high expectations with Bread and Butter but they fell short with my meal. In my stay here in NZ this is the first time I have to send a meal back to kitchen and that speaks volumes. The coffee on the other hand is satisfactory but nothing out of the ordinary.

Great coffee, love the fact you get a still or sparkling water at no additional charge. Good selection of cabinet food that changes all the time. One of my fav Milford cafes

A cute little cafe suited for a lazy Sunday brunch. A little pricey but I'm a brunch-y person. I enjoy a nice relaxing meal every now and then :)
Dini
Absolutely beautiful every time, one of our favorites. Would be ideal to have a few more choices for dairy free people, but otherwise, really good
Austin
Boy has this place improved, recognisable and tasty menu (especially for breakfast), great service and coffee (could be slightly hotter). And 1/3 cheaper than the Takapuna Cafe!<br/><br/>Give it a go.

Seem to be hitting Milford this weekend, B&B are dog friendly which is great, I had their home made flat bread, salmon, cream cheese, capers and avo with again a great little coffee.<br/><br/>The finance didn't really like her Oat Sago and green smoothie, still worth hitting up on a weekend.

Went there for brunch on Monday last week around 11 o clock. They are quite busy at the moment but we have managed seat straight away. Coffee came really fast and good quality. We had one salad and beef burger. My salad is nice presentation and tasty (healthy option). But my friend quite disappointed by the size of the beef burger(¥20 for just one beef, bun and a few green salad). <br/><br/>But they provide very great cabinet food that looks sooo yum! Maybe next time try their more on cabinet?
Natalie Bell
Always enjoy visiting bread and butter for breakfast. Great service, coffee and delicious food which is also responsibly priced. Yet to try the cabinet food but it all looks delicious.

Coffee is so delicious, hot or iced and has nice ambience - I like Little King but it is so noisy! <br/><br/>Love the breakfast of champignons. Great pun and delightful! <br/><br/>
Lyvie
Got a vegan sandwich and black coffee. The coffee was good but my sandwich was so so. The bread on my sandwich was tough to chew and cut. My friend got a chocolate almond croissant and that was very nice. The interior is admirable so I think it is a great place to take selfies :)

◻Good service<br/>◻Awesome counter food<br/>◻Gets very busy<br/><br/>Today was a wedding anniversary breakfast/date, so we picked Bread and Butter.<br/>Its a great coffee shop, modern, happy staff and good counter food.<br/>Today though was a bit hit and miss, <br/>I ordered the hot cake with fruit and maple syrup, hot cake was perfect, fluffy and tasty, great presentation but 3 berries? Bit disapointing.<br/>My wife ordered the fruit bowl, well, you cant really go wrong there, but it was on the small size.<br/>Non of the above would stop me going back, just note portion size is a bit small.<br/>Food is tasty and the coffees were spot on and service was quick

First of all, I am a huge sucker for avocado on toast. But this was the best I have ever ordered from a cafe. Their bread was the point of difference for me because they offer a selection of bread choices that aren't available from other stores and highly unique. I had avocado on pumpkin bread and it was perfect!! Subtle pumpkin taste but you can definitely taste it without it over flavoring the other parts of the meal. Perfect combination and a must try for any lovers of a good smashed avo on toast! The boyfriend got the big breakfast type of meal and he found it very yummy as well. Although he said he preferred having the pumpkin bread over the one that came with his meal but other than that he said it was a highly satisfying. Overall their bread is what makes them different from other cafes so if you're not planning on ordering a meal that involves bread, it might not wow you as much as it did me

Came here for some brunch on Saturday and it was packed! Luckily the good vibes of the place meant sharing a table was fine. The interiors were great, staff were super friendly, food presentation was outstanding! Very yummy food!

Have a Sunday drive around Milford and spotted this cafe and gave it a try. Food is not too bad. Tried the almond croissant and avocado salads i will said taste wise pretty average 3/5. Quite pricey though, maybe for classy people 2/5 for price on food. Had latte for coffee - i will say WOW!! It's nice. Strong! Hardly get latte that strong... coffee 5/5.<br/>My friend ordered hot chocolate she says was average 3/5.<br/>Apart from price wise is ok place for coffee and catch up. Will i come back? Yes for coffee and will try some other food maybe egg benedict next time..
Greg Brown
Little king or bread and butter.....little king or bread and butter.....essentially two nearly identical cafes only a few meters apart. My choice is little king and it comes down to pricing. You just spend too much for two little.
Ayaan
Not a bad little spot loving the light shades rolling pins haha, food was good part from huge garnish covering my food you gotta show of that passion don't hide it,smoothie was a good touch as well will be back for more savouries yum and maybe keep the reduction to the side not a fan of it drenched over a good hollandaise sorry chef talking 😜

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great service, food came out fast. Beautifully presented, enjoyed my iced mocha and breakfast. Meet my Grandma here on Sunday for brunch together I had the hola bene I think it was called and my Grandma had the omelette couldn't fault anything. Highly recommend will definitely go back again.

Wow this place is awesome! We came for brunch today. Both of our brunches were so delicious, and the coffee was great too. I would even go as far as to say it was one of the best brunch meals I have ever had. The service was excellent, staff are super friendly, and prices are quite reasonable. It was our first time here but we will definitely be coming back!
Lochbuie
We have been trying to get to Bread and Butter for a number of months but each time it was full, so this week we cleverly timed it between the morning coffees and the lunch crowd. The service was very efficient and attentive. There is a very good range of artisan breads and cabinet food, and the...

OMG, yummy crispy bread not just wishy-washy. Fantastic fresh sandwich. Friendly staff members, what else to say. We enjoyed our brunch there and will be back for sure.
Steph V
Been here twice now, the first time we had a bad experience with poor service but decided to give it another go as our friends had told us they really enjoyed the place. On our second visit we felt very unwelcome and the staff made it seem like we were a hassle more than anything else. The food was not too bad - my mom ordered the smashed avo which was quite yummy but I had a chicken roll which was served just as smashed for some reason with a pathetically small amount of chicken - food was nowhere near good enough to make up for the bad service. Don't think I will come back any time soon.
Frank
Bread & Butter have perfected the modern all family cafe chain in much the same way that Mojo have done the same thing with the business crowd. It has an indie feel without being indie. There is a great menu, a fantastic cabinet selection, friendly service and a general happy ambiance. This one at Milford was heaving with amateur diners and it was just accident we managed to get a table. Breakfast salad was delicious, although lacking a bit in avocado, and apparently the soy brand needs to be changed according to one of our soy drinking party, but otherwise we were very impressed.
Mary Underwood
Very wholesome and hearty food on the menu. Visited today on a nice sunny winter day and sat outside. <br/>Nice to see heaters on outside. Also happy to see half portions.<br/>Nice choice of quality teas from the Harleys range.<br/>We both chose soup as being a winters day, soup was fitting. <br/>Wonderful vegetable and ham soup served with a big slice of their lovely bread. <br/>I'm going back next weekend as I hear they have mushroom soup on the menu. <br/>Lovely attentive service from their staff. Watch out for the very loud mummy's outside though hogging the pavement and letting everyone (probably inside aswell) hear their conversations. That was the only downside :-)
Alysha Bower
I went here with my mum and partner today for lunch. This cafe is a cute place and I loved the decorations! Rolling pin lights and old baking trays on the wall! <br/><br/>The service was really good, we arrived got offered menus and water straight away. Orders taken not too long after which was nice. I ordered the hotcake, my mum had the calamari and my partner had the chef special "The Monster". <br/><br/>The food was delicious, all the components were really nice and worked well together! However on my hotcake their were seeds and nuts as a garnish. This wasn't on the menu and for someone who is really allergic to peanuts I would suggest you put it on the menu incase other people have allergies. <br/><br/>The reason why I didn't give you a perfect score is that while we were waiting for our food we noticed a few of the staff members eating chips off customers plates BEFORE they even went out. To me doing that in such a public way is not a good look for a cafe. I hope that if I come in again I don't see this happening.
First time around was actually not too bad, and regretfully went back Sat 30/04. Waited forever to be served, even longer to get our food which arrived cold-as. Mentioning the cold food only resulted in "oh..sorry to hear" and we left them with half of the portions that we could not force down - hopefully it was not served to other full-paying customers. Will never go back, and definitely would not recommend to anyone.
Joye Martin
Absolutely Awesome place for Breakfast. Fast service Friendly staff, Simply gorgeous food and the coffee is pretty good as well. We will be back on a regular basis :)
Michael
My go to cabinet in Milford, mainly because the sandwiches are good and there are a couple of dairy free options.<br/><br/>Menu isn't very exotic, more like cafe / lunch staples. Execution is usually solid, but I've had some past their best avocados here so hence the 3/5 rating. Smashed Avo is good...
Petra
Not the biggest fan of their food but their drinks are flawless. Great coffee and I am obsessed with their homemade lemonade - so good!!!!!!
DontScrewWihMaFood
Real rubbish cafe that disappoints on all levels. I am a senior cafe specialist and have not seen something so bad or tasted as such. Bakery items were sub par here. A raspberry bread from here turned out to be a crappy jam filled lump of coal similar to Pak n saves reduced to clear donut section - I'm talking real bad. 40c quality. Cost $5<br/><br/>Confronted the manager and they said that it is what it is and to try somewhere else. <br/><br/>This cafe cannot be taken seriously you will be disappointed! <br/>
Jeremy Newson-Brown
Came here with my girlfriend on a sunny Wednesday morning for some coffee cake and some cabinet food. The cafe was pumping with diners and staff seemed to handle it well. Coffee was good and the food too.
KELBEAN25
Had very average coffee and service here. Haven't returned! Don't see what the fuss is about. My partners pastry was average and my mother in laws breakfast wasn't anything to write home about.
Thegreeats
Had their asparagus and poached eggs special- no wow factor and felt like it could have easily been done at home<br/>Mum's creamy balsamic mushroom was good<br/>Portions were average<br/>Cafe interior was good but when busy can feel as though tables are a bit close together<br/>Their cabinet section is good- some of their doughnuts and tarts looked delicious and will try next time.<br/>We got a little sandwich to takeaway and it was so disappointing for $8.50. Hard bread, bland chicken and average fillings.
Hung Quoc Bui
These guys got really nice meat sandwiches, quite similar the Vietnamese BanhMi Baguette but w/o patê <br/>Staffs r quite professional and efficient. Will b back again for their sandwiches:D

I had a good dining experience at Bread & Butter recently! I wouldn't call their menu extremely innovative but what they did offer was good quality and pretty filling. I enjoyed the crispy squid salad but wasn't a big fan of the hot cakes or crumbed fish tacos - they weren't bad but weren't too great either. I hear that their fresh baked breads are delicious here so I'm looking forward to trying that on my next visit!
Angela (A Style Collector)
My sister and I went here for the first time recently. I've wanted to try this as I've heard the one in Ponsonby is really good. We went in the afternoon for a late lunch. <br/><br/>We got drinks first and I ordered the mango smoothie and my sister got the iced coffee. The iced coffee was nice but I was my mango smoothie tasted more pineapple than mango which was a letdown. <br/><br/>For food, I got the crispy squid and my sister got the pulled pork. My squid was alright. I liked the salad in in too and the coating of the squid was tasty. <br/><br/>However, my sister's pull pork was disappointing. We've tried plenty of pulled pork food in other places and what was in her sandwich was not really pulled pork. The pork was not soft and did not have any sauce. It would've been okay if it was just called a pork sandwich but we expected it to be better and more traditional. The pork didn't have the usual sauce and it was really bland. My sister had to keep adding salt and pepper for taste.<br/><br/>Overall it was ok. The place looks nice and pretty though.

First visit to bread and butter bakery in Milford. <br/>It was 3:30pm and they almost closed shop (business open until 4pm).<br/>No many people, except us and a table with 2 ladies were having their tea time.<br/><br/>We ordered 4 Madeleine, a au pain raisin and a cup of coffee.<br/><br/>Madeleine and au pain raisin were so good.<br/><br/>It is usually very pack in the morning. Get there early to get your seat.
Benjamin Wallace
Nice layout, cabinet food looked good. Service was okay, food and coffees came out quickly although the place was about 3/4 full. I got the eggs Benedict with bacon and a side hash brown, the other person I went with got the breakfast of champions mushrooms with a side of hash brown. The eggs Benedict was stock standard, with the quenelle of deep fried potato hash brown being gluey and pretty average. The mushrooms where old and metallic tasting and cut into all sorts of different shapes and sizes before cooking meaning some where really over cooked and some basically raw. The cream sauce was watery and bland and the pesto on the toast over powering. It's a shame locals are happy with stock standard average cafe fare, expected more. Would recommend Little King next door over bread and butter any day of the week.
Sophia Ignateva
Nice coffees, very nice that they have a good quality almond milk, which is really surprising for this kind of cafe! Haven't tried the food, but it doesn't look that delicious to be honest.
A
Well this was an insanely delicious brunch. Wait staff so helpful and explained most items on the menu could be vegetarian. Delicious coffee. Most upset that I didn't have room in my stomach for a sweet treat! Had the smashed avocado with haloumi on the side and my date had the baker's breakfast which was huge! I'll be back for the French toast and a pastry 👻
Kali
So I thought I would check this place out since I've seen it so busy. I ordered a iced mocha with soy milk WOW I'm not even a coffee fan but thought I would give it a go. My parents bought coffees they were instantly impressed. I'm yet to try their food I can't wait. What I was very pleased was that I had asked them if they could please wash the blender out if it had almond milk in it previously as I'm highly allergic to nuts and they were happy too. Great stuff guys! !

This might be a new favourite for me on the shore. The waitress was very efficient in getting our orders and the food was very quick to the table too. Although the cabinet food looked very tempting I decided on the brioche French toast with fruit, bacon and maple syrup. It was beautifully presented and the combination of syrup, fruit, bacon and brioche was perfect. I also tried the caramel protein smoothie which was smooth and creamy and guilt-free because it's made from real, healthy ingredients. I look forward to my next visit 👍🏽

Ever popular Bread & Butter is our weekend "go to" for artisan bread centric dishes. Had the breakfast of champignons on one occasion and their BLT on a pretzel baguette on another. The former was made zingy with balsamic vinegar. The latter was great, but could benefit with some toasting. Service is always friendly and prompt considering constant demand. Worth a visit, but not so much a lazy dawdle on crazy days unless your thick skinned enough to ignore social cues from those in queues. :)
Tamara
Not too pricey recommend this salad its so filling doesn't leave you bloated. The salad in this photo is quinoa salad free range chicken and haloumi cheese. It was super devine quiet a good portion. It's also a bakery as well where you can get gourmet brownies, crossiants and little wee cakes and they also offer gluten free options. Staff are lovely as well even makes it more welcoming. Will go back to try another option but this definitely hit the spot especially if you're trying to eat clean 😊

This place had a very inviting atmosphere and a cool area to sit down and enjoy time with friends, the food was not as enjoyable and was lacking in presentation unlike many other cafes on trend in the current market. I got the smashed avocado ( a regular order) and felt it was very plain and more expensive than usual

They are very busy as newly opened!<br/>Their bread looks very attractive and I will definitely comeback for grabbing a bread sometime!<br/>I had a venison burger and iced coffee.<br/>For iced coffee, it was too sweet as common iced coffee served in New Zealans cafe.<br/>Venison burger is tasty, I have no complaint.<br/><br/>Shop is decorated really cute, little whisk shaped ramp, baking tin as wall decal, cute!<br/><br/>Staff were very busy, I feel they are quite rushing for taking order as I understand they are quite crowded.<br/>I know they are trying to circulate the customers as fast as possible but maybe they can take a little bit of time.<br/>Yet they are very kind.<br/>
