Review Burger Boy - Auckland Central

Mia Pacey
Bit pricey for smaller sized burger combos. Great location and nice that it is open late night as well. The meat was good and you could tell it was high quality meat. They allowed you to alter the burger fillings so that is a plus. The chips were a bit too salty but I loved that you got ketchup packets with it too. Also sells little tubs of Ben & Jerrys. Seating available inside and outside. They seem to be on your popular food delivery apps as well.

I was surprised to be served a Burger in a roll, rather than a bun. The taste is pretty good, but for over $20 for a combo, it wouldn't be my first choice for a burger joint in town. The chips though, they were very tasty and crunchy

I would say its more like Roll Boy. I got quite a surprise when I was served a roll instead of a burger =). However the roll was good and chips to, on top of that the glass of coke was a satisfying size, food was yumm and filled my belly. Service was great and resturant was clean. Thanks for a great meal guys.

They serve decent coffee here, no questions. Burgers are very yummy, great customer service. Highly recommended to all.

love their service. unfortunately i can only eat their vegetarian options, so i can't say anything about their meats but i clearly loved my burgers and the coffee that pink hair girl made for me for three weeks that i worked there. i will go back again when i get time and opportunity 😊

Someone complained these burgers are not New Zealand-style burgers, and I think that's a compliment. As Americans, we're happy to find an American-style burger which means a thinner patty, more coarsely-ground beef, and grilled with to nice char on the outside. Burger Boy does this well, and for all for a low price. No, it's not a classic New Zealand burger, but it is a good example of an American burger and very tasty. Good fries and shakes (thick American style), too.

Clean environment and fairly friendly staff. The food wasn't quite what I'd call 'fast' but it was cooked fresh, was a decent size and tasted good. Our meal automatically came with ketchup but it would have been nice to be offered alternatives, if you're as fussy as I am! $15 for a cheeseburger, fries and medium drink, not cheap but not expensive either. Overall would recommend.

Everything about this place was amazing. Staff, atmosphere, food. Massive thumbs up, amazing speed, obviously fresh, could not recommend more! Oh and if you’re like my partner and fussy over fries, they’re amazing too; would seriously suggest this place to anyone! (Bathrooms needed a clean but it’s a Friday Night)

Tried their burgers for a couple of times now and they are okay. Not the best in Auckland city but it’s still okay. It’s affordable and the space is big and located perfectly in viaduct.

2nd time at this place. 1st visit wasnt as impressive. Cost still high which is the only down point. This visit was great. Tried the Korean Chicken burger for myself and vege burger combo for my little one. They were kind enough to swap falafel with egg at no extra cost( and so it shud be right!). Both Berger's were lovely but think I preferred the vege burger more. Service was pleasant as well and wait on order was fast. Not many people while we were there but soon it got busier(to be honest, wherever we go I have noticed, it starts with empty to not to busy to then super busy, after our visit). Once in a while treat only basis(for me anyway) as a combo will cost you around $20đŸ˜± hence I only got a burger for $12.50đŸ˜±đŸ˜±. Vege combos the cheapest, thank goodness. All in all, a good treatđŸ‘đŸŒâč

Nice burger place surprised to have a roll instead of burger but tastes good but a bit on the expensive side with burger combo around 23$ but the location at viaduct harbour very nice to have a hood view with a bite

My first time here. Had heard about their Korean chicken (in a hotdog roll, not burger buns) and can say that I was impressed. Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside and amazing seasoning (hot). We got a takeaway and the chicken retained it's crispiness. The hotdog roll sandwich does seem odd but they were the brioche equivalent of long rolls...soft pillowy and buttery. Sauce was nice and salad added to the texture. Also got their chips with cheese seasoning...loved em although I wish there were more. For the prime location, their pricing seems right. Staff is nice and friendly, greeted us well. Def recommend, esp their Korean chicken roll/sandwich.

Man I really wanted their fried chicken, pineapple, and BBQ special burger but since it's my first time here, had to go for the Good Boy and fries combo. They put their burgers in long buns to make them stand out a tiny bit and were classically good. The shoestring fries weren't bad either, pretty salty, but felt a little too much just like maccas fries. I'm sure one day I'll get them again, but not rushing out. Better than Better Burger at least.
Milosz Joseph
The burger flavor is awesome, "buns are a little not so soft". The fries are satisfyingly quite crunchy and have a flavor of their own. The Classic view of the famous Auckland sky tower combined with the ambience surrounding the viaduct.

Good thing 1st. Staff very friendly, Not fancy decorations. Cook when ordered (not pre-made). Chicken burger used long shaped bun instead of the usual round bun. HOWEVER, the bun itself is too chewy for me. Quality us similar to the fast food chains. So is too expensive compared to those chains.
Daniel Allen
You are better off walking 300 meters down the road to McDonald’s. The prices are extortionate and it tastes worse than what I could make at home. 10/10 would not buy again unless I can’t be asked to walk 300 meters.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Got the Frickin' Chicken Burger with Shoestring Fries and a Drink. ($19.50) Pricier than other burger combos i've had. Definitely a generous serving of chips with lots of the Cheese Salt seasoning. The burger itself was more average I was expecting. A glorified chicken sandwich (consisted of Free range NZ chicken breast, Burger Boy spice, fresh tomato, iceberg, red onion, hot boy sauce & mayo). Overall really underwhelmed. Still want to try their cheeseburger though.
Anon
Mediocre at best, especially considering the price point. I ordered the Frickin Chicken, chicken was great! It was fresh, but unfortunately the chicken and burger overall just lacked flavour.<br/><br/>Staff were friendly, but I wouldn't come again
Chiny Chin Chin
Not sure about the burger but the chips taste soooo good !!! It tastes like Carl's junior's chips when they first opened in NZ (only if u know what i mean) I would definitely come back to hv more chips !!!!

I asked for chicken and they gave me beef..<br/><br/>I live just upstairs and it’s one of the few places that open late at night. <br/><br/>The sizes are small and at $12.50 each you definitely are paying premium due to location. <br/><br/>The burger was satisfying tho, just a bit pricy. <br/><br/>Service: 3/5<br/>Environment: 3/5<br/>Presentation: 3/5<br/>Food Quality: 4/5<br/>Food Quantity: 3/5<br/>Price per person: $12.50+

First time trying burger boy, and we ordered a vege burger and cheeseburger. $7 and $7.50 which I think was quite reasonable. My vege patty was burnt a little and there wasn't enough cheese. It was tasty nonetheless.<br/><br/>Price: 10/10<br/>Taste: 5/10<br/>Ambiance: 4/10 (felt like a takeaway joint)

Really average burger joint that is overpriced for what you get. Paid $19 and $21 for the combos. Fries are extremely salted, nothing great. Burger is more like an American sandwich, very bland... Lack of sauce. You are better off going McDonald's or KFC.

Good Burgers. Bun a bit dry. Friendly service - caring. Server couldn’t work the drink machine and had to ask one of her colleagues to help. Other than that, good evening.

So first time me and partner went to this place. We didn’t know where to order & we went to the pass to order our food & the Indian guy directed us by pointing to the counter. We ordered our food & the customer service was shit & the staff wasn’t friendly at all. The person who was serving us was an Indian young girl. We told her what we wanted to order & because it was our first time we asked the girl if they sell chicken wings & we didn’t know that there wasn’t any chicken wings & it was just burger only. She replied back sounding so bitchy. So we finished our order & she said there’ll be someone bringing us our food to the table. After that she served us our drinks & the glass she gave me there was an ant inside the drink. I asked for a new glass & she wasn’t happy, again.<br/>When the orders ready I thought the 3 guys standing at the kitchen they were gonna bring us our food but no, they kept on shouting the number til we came to get our food. Nobody brings out our order.<br/>When I went to grab our order the Indian guy wasn’t look happy & didn’t even say thank you & had given me the evil looking eyes. Then I came back to ask for the salt & pepper, the Indian guy was laughing at me & didn’t want to give me the salt & pepper. Instead the white boy looked for the salt & pepper & gave it to me.<br/>The food overall was ok. This will be our first & last coming to this place cos the service was shit & burger was ok. The patty was burnt.<br/><br/>I just felt sorry for the white boy that work there cos he was the only white boy & there was so many Indian people there & they were all talking in their language.

menu states that gluten free is avaliable, so clearly i was expecting gluten free bun options or at least a token lettuce leaf to wrap round my patty. no. as the lady explained to me, there are no gf buns, i couldnt have a lettuce bun because the lettuce was shredded and instead it would "be like a salad." So if youre gluten free and looking for a burger, DONT come here. You'll get salad with a meat patty on top in a box. Good milkshakes and fries, average service and long wait time in the line to order, just seemed very chaotic.

Where does one start with a place that feeds of people wanting a bite to eat at a late hour especially after a few drinks.<br/>Let’s break this down a bit further <br/>Price: absolutely ridiculously priced for what you get! <br/>We got a burger bubby combo and a plain cheese burger $28.00 NOT worth a cent<br/>Quality: Crap nothing stood out, plain, dry, oddly shaped burger bun, small, soggy fries <br/>Verdict: HELL NO! Never going back there, rather go to McDonald’s where u know what to expect.<br/> Ultimate rip off, if I could give it no stars I would, seems to me the business is honestly taking advantage of intoxicated customers wanting a bite.<br/>

Pretty great spot by the water with a good selection of burgers. The inside feels like a old school diner and its pretty cosy. Love the pulp fiction wall art as well. The burgers pretty big serving size for the price and makes a pretty sweet meal.
Ashleigh Cockburn
My partner ordered a Good Boy burger. When it arrived it looked fine - maybe slightly raw. However, he started experiencing nausea within an hour of eating it and proceeded to be uncomfortable and vomit throughout the night.
Patrick Miranda
I ordered a Bad Boy combo plus onion rings on the side and this would be the first time I disliked a burger. The burger itself was bland all I could taste was bread and sweet pickle and for a combo that costs $21 I expected a lot more flavour. I gave this a two star rating because the fries were pretty decent. I think you guys need to listen to majority of customers as they have also said something of similar note.
Marcus Lau
We just had Korean chicken burgers here. We wanted to order their beer battered onion rings, unfortunately, they were running out of onion rings.<br/><br/>Their Korean chicken burgers were pretty good, the fried chickens were crispy outside and tender inside. A bit spicy but certainly within our tolerance level.<br/><br/>Their customer service was average. Very strategic location as it is situated smack at the front end of Viaduct Harbour. Consistent customer crowd today, which is a Saturday.<br/><br/>Food & Beverage : 6/10<br/>Service : 5/10<br/>Price : 6/10<br/>Ambience : 6/10

Flavours were amazing and bun was so light and delicious I will definitely be back, I just wish there were a closer store rather than all the way in town! Overall loved it <br/>

Excellent location for this burger joint. Tried hamburger there. It was a regular burger. Nothing sort of great. Felt okay to pay $6 for that. Options are leas over there and recommend them to add lot of options. <br/>Cheers đŸ»

I found the staff less than enthusiastic about their job and the area was small so if you don’t like crowded spaces it’s not the place for you. However the burger was tasty and the chips good although I expected the hot boy sauce to be a bit more spicy. Overall not a bad burger though.
Samantha Osner
Literally just in for a work break and the Indian lady who served me at the counter rolled her eyes at me when i simply asked for both of their fry seasoning and then continued to just slouch and nod her head and look around the room when i was left standing confused if she heard me? Or if she just hates working here so much she seems to think its ok to roll your eyes and pretty much ignore m when i asked her. I work right around the corner in hospo too so I get its shit sometimes but i dont care if you work at maccas or any fancy restaurant just give someone a smile and cal it a day. Really pissed me off.

Got some Burger Boy today on Ubereats as I received a voucher to try it out. I ordered the Bad Boy Bubby with shoes string fries and coke. The burger was average, i feel like it needs more sauce because the pattie was quite dry. However the fries was really crispy. Since I got it delivered the burgers were getting cold as well. Overall, not bad but I wouldn’t pay 21$ for it.
Lizzie
Great fries but very average cheese burger. It was okay after a night out but wouldn’t really recommend otherwise. The burger just didn’t really have any flavour which was disappointing
Kim Ormsby
Burger was average, my meat pattie was not cooked through, (still red) the lettuce was not crispy iceberg lettuce, it was quite wilted, Not very tasty, quick service and friendly staff.  Chips were a huge portion but tasty.  Maybe they could season their meat pattie to make it tasty and add tomato.  Comparing to a cheeseburger you get at McDonalds, I would have to say McDonalds was better.  Hope they can improve as its in an ideal location.
Ahmad Al
Something that continues to pop up in the reviews is over cooked patties, today was no different. In fact, overcooked was an understatement, the patty was burnt on my long bun burger.<br/><br/>First and last time I will be going to burger<br/> boy.
Steven Liu
Ordered 2 cheese burgers and 2 veggie burgers through Uber Eats. Got 4 hamburgers, fries were wrong too. Tried to call but no response, tried to leave a message but message box was full. Very disappointed.
Ahsan Rahman
Tried the fricking burger, nothing frickin about it at all. Worst burger I have ever tried, very ordinary hot dog bun with lettuce and onion and it’s frickin 12 dollar. Mind as well burn the money than buy a burger from there. 😩
Zoe Dearlove
If you’re looking for the taste of a McDonald’s burger patty but with a proper, fresh salad; this is where you can get. Just don’t expect the same cheap prices and wait time as Maccas
Liz Bradley
Don’t bother. Bog standard burgers for viaduct prices, $12 for a cheap long bun with overcooked patties and slow service. The design of the store is confusing too. The only good thing is the position, prime tourist capture, such a shame. Tbh you’d get the same thing for less money at MacDonalds. Burger Burger in Ponsonby and Burger Fuel have nothing to worry about.
Vegesaur
Best fries in all of Auckland! I'm serious!! Go there just for them - plus you get heaps of them for your money! Veggie burger is average. I've tried it a couple of times, and I'm done...but dang, those fries!!
Hana
Pathetic burgers, you’d expect the burger patties to at least fit the bun but no, it was a complete disappointment and waste of money. I would definitely not recommend burger boys!
Aun Sukijjakhamin
OK burgers. Terrible service.<br/><br/>The positives - burgers were ok considering the (rather high) price. Fries were tasty, and the portion of the combo was generous. <br/><br/>The negatives - the young, small-build guy who served us was rude and clearly didn't want to be doing this job. He had an attitude and never once smiled to the customers. It's very unusual to come across a rude person in NZ, but you'll find one here.<br/><br/>If you're not bothered by that, feel free to dine here. Otherwise it'd suggest you go elsewhere. I can't believe I'm saying this, but you'll get much better service at Maccas.

A friend and I went here around 6pm on a Tuesday and it was absolutely disappointing. I ordered a Burger special which consisted of double patties, double cheese, bacon and bbq sauce. I also ordered a side of cheese salt fries. My friend bought a combo of the good boy long burger which was with fries and a drink. <br/><br/>We came into the restaurant badly greeted by the girl at the counter who would snap attitude when we asked how spicy the hot boy sauce was. Her response “Uhh.. spicy..” we shrugged it off as we knew it was coming to the end of the day and we kept optimistic about the food. <br/><br/>We ordered our food and came up to a total of $35. We waited for a good 10mins for burgers that were sadly badly portioned. As they were the size of McDonald’s burgers. Paying $11 just for a small sized burger was the least of my worries. We ordered as take out as we wanted to eat near the viaduct. Such a shame as when I took a bite out of this burger there was only ONE beef burger patty! Not to mention it was grilled to a crisp so the patty was unbelievably crunchy and hard to get down.. and it doesn’t end there.. there was no BBQ sauce! Unbelievable! The buns were super soggy. To the point where my fingers would rip through the bun with a light grip. <br/><br/>Being frustratedly disappointed with the burger I was looking forward to my cheese salt fries. They were overly seasoned with the cheese salt fries that it actually burnt the tip of my tongue. The taste was so strong, both me and my friend couldn’t get it down without lathering it first with tomato sauce. <br/><br/>Overall experience was unbelievably shocking. <br/>I’m sorry but I would not see myself coming back.
Thom
Their burgers are pretty good, meaty and juicy, and the space is nice and chill, having said that I reckon they could make it better with the dining style although it is similar to Velvet.
Yash Nahar
Bought a veggie burger, consists of south indian masala vadai as a patty for veggie burger. Horrible taste with no sauces inside. Could not be more disappointed.
Lau Vari
Burger too spicy and not notified.<br/>Frites way too salty. <br/>Staff not really friendly neither helpful<br/>Not worth the money. Do not go. <br/>If you want something quick go to wendy's or burger Kong. It's cheaper
Emma
Had the cheeseburger with no buns w/ onion rings and a drink. Service was really friendly and accomodating as I was able to customise my order with no hassle. Swapped out the fries for onion rings for $1 which was good. The burger itself was nice although it was slightly difficult to eat having no buns but thats not really the restaurants fault. Onion rings were really good, huge serving size too.

I've been here around four or five times and I have had nothing but good experiences. It's situated at such a nice place, it sits great during a sunset. I get the same thing every time so that's pretty much the only thing I can comment on but you get such a great value out of your money - their serving sizes are great & the food has not been disappointing. The service I've received has always been lovely. My new favourite.
Mocha
Tried the cheeseburger, chicken burger and fries with cheese salt. The cheese burger tasted really nice with the hot sauce in it, which i think brought out its flavour. The cheese fries were also quite yummy and addictive.

We were going for a walk and decided to stop here for lunch. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating. <br/>Great service and very clean restaurant. <br/>We ordered two fricken chicken combos. <br/>The fries were fine, weren't seasoned though. <br/>The burger was average; only a bit of mayo and the chicken was a bit dry. I liked that the burger was cut in half so that it was easier to eat. <br/>Overall good experience. Would perhaps try a different burger next time though.
Lilyroselondon
Today I went to Burger Boy. I ordered some fries and a chocolate milkshake. My order was ready within 5 minutes and the fries were amazing. My milkshake tasted like heaven. Would definitely recommend Burger Boy.
Ryan Leong
I ordered the good boy combo. The flavour was interestingly flavourful, not sure if it was the seasoning used on the meat or the special sauce they use, but it was quite good. Enough to intrigue the taste buds, but not too overpowering. The venue was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. We got there just before peak lunch time, the service was quick.
SuhaylaEkhlasi
Cheeseburger Combo. Very filling. Very Delicious. I don't like the dining area so I would takeaway next time. They are very generous with there sauce which is greattttt.
Orient Express
Burger Boy is an establishment I frequently pass by on the way to work and I finally got around to trying it when catching up with a friend over dinner.<br/><br/>Food<br/>Each burger is served in a long (opposed to round) bun akin to a hotdog and my burger of choice was the Bad Boy. This one had all the usual ingredients you'd have in a burger like onions (raw), lettuce, tomato and cheese. These were prevalent enough but not overpowering. The patty was cooked well and had a unique flavor - it grabs your attention in the same way venison would and while it is clearly beef, I found hard to put my finger on. The bread is toasted, though not to a crisp. I felt the burger was light on the sauce, perhaps to not detract from the distinctiveness of the meat but nevertheless found it disappointing. The hot sauce isn't spicy at all.<br/><br/>The fries were stock standard thin fries. They were quite similar to what you would get at a takeaway kebab outlet but I felt mine were not fried very well. They weren't hot and only marginally crunchy, if at all.<br/><br/>The burger my friend ordered was the Frickin' Chicken which he was very happy with and would gladly order again.<br/><br/>Service & Ambiance<br/>The man who took our order was friendly and attentive and orders are delivered to the table. The restaurant is clean and has a bit of a comic book vibe to it which looks nice. The place is clean and even though we came when it wasn't busy, had a good amount of tables.<br/><br/>Overall<br/>While the food wasn't bad by any means, Burger Boy did little to impress. A lot of the necessary elements which make for a great burger meal were absent as fries, bun and sauces didn't carry their weight. The combo meal wasn't even filling which is especially disappointing given the price (around $20 for a combo). I honestly feel like there isn't much reason to eat at Burger Boy since you'll be able to take your dollar further at common fast-food franchises or get a much better burger nearby for a similar price.
Bryan Chan
Ordered Boy Burger via UberEATS.<br/>Got the food fairly quickly.<br/><br/>Firstly i'm not really a fries guy, I don't usually eat them when its in a combo ... I don't know what were in their fries but damn they were good! So fresh and crispy and soft.I got their cheese burger;<br/>With all the classic elements to a cheese burger with their own twist.Their hot boy sauce give the burger a nice kick.
Anandita.danaatmadja
My visit was Sunday the 23rd 2017 11 am when the store is open ... i rated 3.5 as i believe the burger was good đŸ‘đŸœ but not as great ... i get the special burger of the day. The customer service was poor tho, as the man behind the counter not friendly.
Ian Pann
i've walked pass this place a lot and never realised that it sold burgers. it was a good experience trying out the veggie burger combo. quite enjoyed the portion size of the fries too
S&G Take Auckland
Experience on the 28-12 and previously on the 26-12:<br/><br/>28-12 Such a shame this place has gotten so bad in their customer service and wait times. I originally called ahead to ask if i could place a phone order (as we had 30 minutes lunch break) the guy said that it's better we come in and order fresh and he'll have our order ready in 2 minutes. Quote from him. We get there place the order and then end up waiting 20 minutes for 1 x cheese fries.. so ridiculous. At the 20 minute mark we asked the lady if we could get a refund as we were running late. She told us we had to go queue up at the counter and ask. Already 7 people waiting in line at this point so it would have been an additional 10 minute wait. In the end we stayed the whole 30 minutes for 1 serving of fries. Safe to say we won't be going back anytime soon. Also there was a disgusting smell of rubbish throughout the shop, someone mustn't have taken it out in awhile. If you're scared of birds BEWARE. Pigeons continue to walk/fly in.<br/><br/>The 26/12 visit was okay. The lady at the counter was totally uninterested and when i asked her if i could purchase a sauce like Aioli or something said no there's only tomato. Great thanks for that. Most of the places you go to would always offer you one of their sauces which they could use on their burgers or meals at an additional charge. Also asked her if the meat was halal so my friend could have a burger to which she replied no like i asked the most ridiculous question. That's okay i got my fries and left. I will say the fries are still great.<br/><br/>Original review: I've always noticed this place but never got the chance to go in, as parking is quite hard around the viaduct.<br/><br/>Ordered the cheeseburger special of the day. The cheeseburger was good, just your regular cheese burger with a slightly tarragon taste. Actually i don't know if it was tarragon but definitely a unique flavor to it.<br/><br/>The highlight to me were the cheese chips. I didn't know it would be cheddar cheese powder but it was really delicious.<br/><br/>Good for a quick eat. I think think 'Better Burger' could learn a thing or two about fries from 'Burger Boy' and vice versa on the the actual burger.
James
Complete disappointment from this place. Burgers are basic, taste odd and are overpriced. Fries were cold and soggy and the cheese salt was disgusting. This was the first and definitely the last time I will visit this restaurant. There are many other good quality burger joints in Auckland such as Better Burger, Burger Fuel, Burger Burger & even McDonald's (is better). I think the owners need to try them and learn a thing or two. My homemade burgers are even better 😂
Diner8Here
just like any plain jane burger to me therefore passable, well i did order the cheep 6$ job minus onions and pickles but with a fry egg and pineapple ling (yes folks a hawaiian one) and as was quiet came out in 5-10 minutes and hey not too high for the old jaw to bite or  to push down too eh.<br/>Now set me back 9 bucks...

Tried Burger Boys for the first time via UberEATS. Had the 2x cheeseburger combo. Meal arrived quickly and warm, though the fries were a bit of a let down (getting fries delivered is always difficult). Burgers were tasty, but my special request for no pickles or onions seems to have been ignored completely. Will give it another go.
Tama
Had the frick'n chicken combo and unfortunately I wasn't impressed. Fries were average, a little salty for my tastes and the burger was ok but the seasoned coating on the chicken was unnecessarily salty, would have gone down better if the breast was plain or lightly seasoned with salt and pepper only. I expected to be comparing Burger Boy to the gourmet chain, Burgerfuel, because of the food prices but after the meal I don't think that would be a fair comparison as BF burgers and wedges are vastly better. <br/><br/>TL;DR<br/>Wasn't anything special, good if you're in a pinch but if I had to choose between Burger Boy or McDonalds/Burger King well I'm gonna save a few dollars and get a mac attack or a double whopper with cheese combo!
Alesi Ray
Friendly staff, never a long wait even when it's uber busy, I like that they have different flavours for chips that you get to pick. A majority of the staff I used to work with would get burger boy too so I know that over all the food is damn good
Ffionachua
Had the burger of the day for lunch (beef, egg, pineapple, mustard and beetroot shavings - note I do not like beetroot so I requested for it to be excluded) and it was super worth it! It was a decent sized burger, and cooked well. There was a lot of sauce to the point that it became quite hard to eat, but that's besides the point. Just don't come here for a first date, or for a business lunch outing. Best to eat at home in private where you can go crazy on the burger.<br/><br/>Also had their fries with cheese salt which was really delicious. Freshly cooked and crispy - if u like shoe string fries, burger boy does a mean version!<br/><br/>Not sure about their usual burgers, but the long buns burger looks interesting. Definitely up for a 2nd round sometime soon.
Mariah
Great food and good vibes! Best chicken burger out, crispy and delicious with tender chicken insideđŸ’ŻđŸ™ŒđŸŒ Love love the strawberry shakes too. Would give them a 10 if I could!!

Great spot if your are looking for a late late burger. Quick service. Nice chicken burger. I was there Friday night and enjoyed every bite. Cheers

I was curious to try this place but my advice is to avoid it like the plague. Basically the burgers are over priced and mediocre. If you want a good burger try Burger Fuel.<br/><br/>Also for reasons I don't fully understand they cut their larger burgers in half so it falls all over your shirt etc when you eat it - very annoying to say the least.
Lily Chow
Other day I thought I'll try the beef burger for $6 at burger boy. Somehow it took longer than 20 mins to make. Just a simple burger with hardly any lettuce in it. There were no one in line after me so not sure why it took so long. Won't be coming back.

This place gets an extra point for staying open till late night. Mostly all the happy high people visit here (thanks to the location & open hours). Their burgers are tasty, fresh & cheap. <br/><br/>I was thinking of the Harold & Kumar's White castle movie while having burgers at 2 AM today!<br/><br/>Will be a regular here âœŒïžïžđŸ‘

Loved the fries.. especially the fries with cheese salt .. yum<br/>I tried the vege burger was different and nice.. of course falafel was a bit dry.. just wished burger was a bit bigger
I'm Hungry
I would give this place extra points just for being open so late and serving drunk people till 2am. We had 3 rounds of cheeseburgers here. Was soooo cheap, Just $6. Great service, little wait but its ok, because the cheeseburgers were great. Will go soon in the middle of the night to try more burgers here. I an always on a hunt for graveyard shift joints.

Gonna go ahead and give this place a boooo. Must be struggling given the coke is so watered down its beyond acceptable. Find it hard to see any creativity in their burger ideas. Im sitting here wishing I went to maccas to be honest, but I'm here now, guess I'll see it through. Friendly service saves what else is a disappointment otherwise.

First time here. Initial banter was good and friendly. The food was nice and quick to arrive as well. Shame they only have one size of drink I personally enjoy a large soda with my burger and fries. and the guy who go the takeaway burger got his first. The cheddar cheese salt is a cool idea real tasty. The burger had great flavours. Man that beef is tasty. Shame the old tomatos and wet lettuce just totally saturated the bottom bun and made it a bit of a fight to eat. I'm sure this place usually would do better and since it is a Sunday night I will come back early on in the week next time to see if it makes any difference.

Really really average food, and insane prices. <br/>$19 for a chicken burger, fries and a coke.   That's restaurant prices for food that's as bad as the burgers your get at the rugby stadiums (yes we all know how bad they are). <br/>If it was cheap I wouldn't have felt the need to even comment but $6 for a standard burger that's worse than school tuck-shop burgers... really lads? Think you are dreaming.<br/>Clearly targeting the whole tourist scene with the location on the waterfront. Ripping off foreigners who don't know better.<br/>The fries may as well have been a bag of salt and oil, zero taste otherwise.

First time try this place.<br/>For start they have some tagy name for their burgers. <br/>Make you want to try it.<br/>We order a bad boy berger combo and cheese berger combo.<br/>It was testy and big enough to get full.<br/>However a price is to high.<br/>Person who got our order wasn't really friendly. Look like he did not want to be there.<br/>It worse to try once.but I wouldn't go every day .

Have walked past a few times and decided to give it a go. Burgers are not bad but also nothing to write home about.<br/>Tried the Farm Boy and the bad boy bubby. The lamb was kinda like a pulled lamb but not as flavoursome as one would hope. The same goes for the beef burger not bad but nothing out of the ordinary. Price is expected for Viaduct but considering the price is similar to Burger Burger I would rather head to Ponsonby to satisfy my burger cravings.

We went to try this place and ordered the Daffy Burger (Chinese roast duck with slaw), Bad Boy Bubby (Grass fed NZ beef with cheese etc.), Junior Boy with cheese (regular size burger) and some fries.  Their burger is good but it's quite small for its price.  I love their fries, it's crispy and tasty.

Afternoon stroll in the city and stopped for a bite<br/><br/>We had the Bad boy bubby, the Daffy burger, onion rings and strawberry shake <br/>All were delicious <br/><br/>Although the burgers were not massive for the price, you are paying for the convenience/location and full fresh flavours. We were happy with the serving size as we were satisfied after.<br/><br/>The Bubbys meat Patty was cooked medium (not over seasoned like another review said) and the salad and relish gave it a fresh clean flavour <br/>The Daffys duck was tender and plum sauce sweet. <br/>Onion rings were yum and crispy<br/>And the shake was thick with strawberry pulp mmmm <br/><br/>We will go back<br/>

Service was good, location is great for a quick decent bite to eat after a night out in the viaduct. Unfortunately the burgers we had weren't that great. The quality was there but the patty was so over salted and peppered we almost couldn't eat it :-( We had two junior burgers as we weren't too hungry but we're not sure if it's worth trying any other items on the menu moving forward. Shame as it has great potential!

Worst burger i ever had. Girl who actually served us seems not to be so happy with her job, She Just threw food on our table As she don't care. Will not recommend to anybody and will never go back.

Great chips with cheddar salt. Yum.<br/>Bad boy bunny burgers, delicious a bit spicy and cut in half so easy to eat.<br/>Lovely staff, clean and cool looking place. Would come again!

Interesting burger joint right by the Viaduct Harbour. I like the laid back vibes and complementary tunes playing in the background.<br/><br/>I ordered the Burger Boy - I was a bit disappointed by the size of the boy (as all of their burgers are named), which is somewhere between a hot dog and a 6 inch sub for $12 (and in that flat long shape too), but it was quite delicious. I particularly liked the pickle and relish which gave it quite a distinct flavour. It kind of reminded me of an American banh mi - with the most obvious difference being a beef patty.<br/><br/>An interesting take on burgers, I will be coming here to try some of their other boys.

we dined here for lunch the other day. I had the daffy, which was very tasty and my husband had the bad boy bubby which he thought was ok but was over powered by the sauce. our side of fries were extremely over seasoned.

Really like the burger. I tried Mama's Boy. As the name says burger I was waiting for the round big bun with all the dressing but when it came to me it was long bun. It was surprising at the same time it was tasty. I will recommend a visit.

I had been hanging out to try this new place, after repeated attempts and walking away due to long queues and waiting time. I finally managed to have a burger today. I had the Farm Boy, being a lamb, alas, onion and mint gravy burger, Ina long roll. The meat was nicely cooked but for the price I was expecting a better feed. The burger was average and a bit overpriced for what it was. I think I'll head back to me usual burger joint.

this place has the best pulp fiction references. And damn they have tasty burgers. Definitely will recommend good music too :)<br/>

I was excited to try this new burger place, but unfortunately I found it to be very average and overpriced. The style of the burgers is similar to Burger King, although the quality is better. I found the size to be on the small size considering the price. The fries were pale and a little limp, and heavily over salted. A fish burger and fries was priced at $20, which I find to be a bit steep, especially since the fish appeared to be frozen not fresh.

I think this will be a new spot for me. Love the service here! Very laid back and welcoming. My friends and I ordered chicken, duck and pork rolls together with cheese salt on fries. Man were they good! Flavors are on point & meat was cooked to perfection! I wish we could have bigger portions for the good price we paid and there was a bit of a wait on our order. But overall a nice meal for the night :)
