Palazzo Italia is the ideal spot for an afternoon snack and wine or lunch. Staff is always so warm and hospitable and the food and wine is exceptional, not to mention, the restaurant layout is simply stunning!
I’m an avid fan of the Italian red wines, in particular, Montepulcuano d’Abruzzo. For lunch, my favourite pasta is the tagliatelle with fish ragout and their salads are a must try too, especially the calamari & prawn insalata. Highly recommended!

Super B place. From the decoration to the music it plays, this place is amazing. All the staff is from Italy, which makes it much more authentic. Opens from early morning until late, 7 days a week. The staff is super friendly and take the time necessary to explain the menu, as most of it is in Italian.
The food was amazing and the waiting time after ordering was almost null. They served us beetroot carpaccio as an appetiser, and bread free of charge.
We decided to try the surprise dessert, best decision. Chocolate mousse and ice cream perfectly paired with custard, berry sauce and strawberries.
As a vegetarian I was happy that my option was more than only pasta with white sauce and mushrooms.
You can also buy Italian products which they directly import... cheese, cured meat, coffee, pasta...

Amazing, surprised I don't hear enough people talking about this place.
I dined on a Friday night and went for the 4 course meal and was blown away by every dish the chef put together, was not expecting it to be that good. Presentation was on point and each dish individually was an experience. Would recommend anyone planning on a night out in the CBD/Newmarket area to give this place a go.

Great place to dine, lovely atmosphere. There was 4 of us. We went with the chief's choice of main & desert as we were on time restraint to go to a movie. Great service & food was superb.

Friendly n attentive service, accommodating n competent kitchen.. best Italian restaurant in Auckland offering not only great pizza n pasta but yummy juicy meat n fresh grilled fish.. not forgetting crispy fresh greens, been here at least once to twice a week for months now n never get disappointed.. great choice of Prosecco n wine too in cozy romantic atmosphere.

Amazing food and fantastic customer service. My partner and I ordered the 4 course surprise menu..best decision ever! Downstairs, they have a nice little shop of imported Italian goods. Bought a couple of things after our meal as well. Looking forward to dining here again :)

Delicious pizzas and really cool ambiance! But, somewhat pricier than I think it was worth. We didn't order from the main menu because we were deterred by the prices + small portion sizes. Additionally, they had a large list of wines but VERY few were available by the glass. On the left hand side, they had suggestions like, "If you like, Chardonnay, try this one!" and had an arrows to a type of Chardonnay. But, virtually none of their "suggested" wines were available by the glass - somewhat annoying as I don't want to drink a half a bottle of wine on a Tuesday night.

Discovered Palazzo Italia when walking past at lunchtime. Stopped to have a look and ended up eating a delicious lunch.
The focaccia filled prosciuto, tomato, rocket & mozarella & cooked in th woodfire pizza oven was fantastic - will definitely come back for more.
The Italian wait staff are delightful & add to the experience.

Beautiful place with small touch ups to the former design. The coffee was nice and hot. The croissant was certainly heavenly. The service was friendly but a bit slow. Despite the lack of location, I am sure PI will be a destination for food and coffee lovers.
