Review Vevo Foodstore - Auckland Central

Nicole Down
Delicious breakfast here with my partner and son. I got the avocado smash and my partner got the bacon butty. We were super happy with both - the cabinet food looked good too! The staff was very friendly. We arrived just after 8 and it was super bustly by about 8.20.

Always great food and coffee. Low key setting with friendly staff.

Vevo, an elegant yet adventurous feeling to the cafe, wherever you look it’s got beautiful taste inside to outside. If you are visiting up in the North I would definitely recommend going to eat here when your stomach is grumbling

Have had dine in, takeaway and catering. Lovely people offering yummy food and coffee. A little spot worth trying to find a carpark for 😀

Energetic staff, great coffee and that bacon and egg pie is the delicious! Thanks guys

Genuinely divine, one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and full of flavour, the 5 grain bread was hands down the most pleasant bread I’ve ever been served at a cafe. Staff were truly wonderful. Don’t ever change! 10/10

high quality food and delicious, well put together flavours. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks here. The service was exceptional and the food came out quickly even though they were quite busy. Thank you for the fantastic breakfast experience! Highly recommend and will be coming back.

Vevo is a lovely little local institution in Titirangi. It doesn't have the stunning views or all-day sun that some of the other local venues are blessed with, but it more than makes up for it with its delicious food and coffee. I particularly recommend the baking. They also do great frozen meals to take away.

Stop for lunch in a rainy day. Delicious 5-spice pork belly is kind of Tai food style. Benedict egg with smoked salmon is also good.

Hidden away on the quaint Titirangi Village VEVO make a lovely coffee. Tried the Tomato Spinach Foldover , just perfect for a morning tea. Cabinet Food colourful, with some lovely Gluten Free options . Frozen take home meals for those last minute meals, as well as a catering service. Staff friendly and obliging

We just had the pleasure of Vevo catering for our office opening and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. Fabulous food and great staff, nice work!!!

Thanks heaps Vevo Foodstore - lifesavers! I bought the chicken risotto and coconut chicken frozen meals yesterday, and not only was there enough for lunch today too they both tasted excellent! Value for money and delicious :) Highly recommend!

Food is great and different to what you get at a typical cafe....coffee is always perfect and the staff are lovely and professional! I come here at least once a week.

My fiancée and I come here most weekends, the staff are so accomodating and friendly and most importantly they have vegan options!

Favourite cafe in Auckland! Poached eggs are always runny and bacon is crispy. Always have really yummy cabinet food and a lot of healthy options! The people that work there are always chatty and quick to get your food and coffees to you!

This place is always awesome. The food is top quality and the staff are very friendly. Dont know what else to write to get the minimum 140 character word count

Best Coffee in Titirangi. Nice ambience to the venue, and staff are friendly. Everything I've had from the food menu has been pleasing. A hidden gem.

Love VEVO, it is our favourite cafe in the village. Yummy coffee and delicious food, both eating in and takeaway. Favourites passion fruit slice and ginger loaf. Catering great too.

So far I've just indulged in their delicious cabinet treats (being gluten and dairy free I was super stoked to find two options in their cabinet!) and I'm super impressed. The cafe is small but lovely and welcoming and I'm super keen back to try breakfast or lunch as the meals I saw coming out of the kitchen looked very good. It's so nice to have a great (and healthy) option in Titrangi.

Visited this cafe on a Sunday morning for brunch because it was in the entertainment book. I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the food.

The cafe is not too big but bright and well maintained. We had a couple of mochas- both good no complains there.

Husband had the French toast with bacon and said it was quite good. Decent portions with lots of bacon. I had the chicken salad with crispy noodles. I loved this dish! Shredded chicken with crispy noodles and a tangy sweetish dressing. The portion was big too, and I shared it with my husband.

You can order half portions for $3 less than the main price. Good for sharing. I saw other people's dishes arrive (don't we all!) and it all looked really good.

Will definitely be returning here...even paying full price 😝

Had a picnic of food all from Vevo food store in Titirangi! Absolutely lovely place, great ambience and top quality food. Personally I prefer to dine in not take away from Vevo since I live so near by and their house made food is delicious, but this was a really cute picnic with the perfect mix of sweet and savoury!

I love Vevo. I know that the food is always reliable whether it's from the cabinet or from the kitchen it's always delicious and fresh. I've never had a dud and I'm a pretty regular customer. Their meals often have an extra flair to them that elevates then beyond the ordinary and the staff are super friendly. Best cafe in The village by far.

Really nice cafe. The name "food store" threw us off for a sec but it is a cafe. Yummmmyyyy coffee! Really good and reasonably priced brekky. Super nice staff that was cool with my boyfriend and I posting up for a few hours to work. Free wifi. Thanks!!

I have been here twice recently both times when it wasn't their busiest times... Smashed avacado was so yummy... The pork belly salad was really tasty as was the prawn cocktail.... All very yummy in flavours-taste and oh so healthy!! Gotta be good for you.... Service was excellent and friendly ... Just gotta pick your time to come here as its a little place.

Such a cute spot! Love the menu and cute cakes and savouries in the display cabinet up front. Most stuff is gluten free, they make delicious salads etc. love the healthiness bout the place.
I've been here a couple times now, had a delicious smashed avocado breakfast on 5 grain toast, and an equality perfect free range chicken salad. Tea is so good! Nice and fresh and in cute teapots.
Favourite place in titirangi!
I find it is fervently full of people, so very loud and have walked out before as there are no seats, could be a bit bigger and in a better location I find as it doesn't get any sun or anything either.
Only a couple seats outside, seating is a big issue I think. Also service for the food is sometimes very slow.
I come here in weekdays when it's not so busy and will come here in the future because of the glorious food.

Have been here a few times and just want to say my rating does not reflect the good! The meals here are fantastic - flavoursome and healthy. If it was down to the food I would give them at least 4 stars! It's the service that lets it down. I went in this morning for a quiet meal with my husband and the coffee tasted like tar. So my husband, very politely took it back (the coffee here is usually great) and we were given new ones. They too were awful, but I wasn't going to bother taking it back a second time, and just figured it was an off day. Well, the manager, who had seen me taste my awful coffee came up and rudely spoke to me about their change of coffee roast and how you can't please everyone . She actually almost made me cry. Slammed a refund down on our table - even though I had said it was no problem, we hadn't complained or anything, and made us feel 2 inches tall. I was so embarrassed I couldn't even finish my meal and left as soon as I could. I'll never return.

Love this place! Has awesome options for people like me with allergies etc. had the most amazing chickpea salad take away for my lunch today and I wish I got the big size!!

Nice breakfast spot in titirangi, but a little cramped when busy. We ordered eggs with ciabatta and avocado smash with poachie. The avocado smash was wonderful, tasty and complimented well by the poached eggs. My only niggles with this cafe are that they are a bit over priced ($18.00 for the avo with poached egg) and we waited for around 35 minutes for our meals. It was fairly busy however the wait time was still more than expected. I would next time try the cabinet food which looked delicious.

Delish home baking with melt in your mouth home cooked cakes and slices.. We also ordered some salads and home baked bread to go with our meal and we felt we received the best service in Titirangi from the young lady that served us! Recommended!
Erica Robson
The service was quite lovely, but i felt it was too overpriced, and i ordered an ice chocolate which turned out to be chocolate and milk, as well as warm. Dissapointed, and also the tables weren't very well cleaned, my poor wallet got stuck to the table temporarily.

When I go out for breakfast I almost always want to try something new; usually that means scanning down the menu past the eggs benedict, french toast with berries and bananas, big brekkie, etc to get to the token "unusual" item. Vevo on the other hand practically doesn't have anything you've seen before on their menu, they change their dishes every season, and they usually have a couple of experiments on the go so there's always something new to try. The waffles with passionfruit cheesecake and freeze dried feijoas are one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had. The cabinet food is also amazing.

The BEST cafe in TItirangi. The food is delicious, always changing and made on the premises. The ambience is warm and friendly, and their staff are constant, so they know you by name and greet you accordingly. It is always busy. I've never had anything undercooked or tasteless. The coffee is strong, Mt Atkinson a local brand which is how I like it. There are lots of alternatives if one doesn't drink coffee. There is a great tea collection, or smoothie selection Vevo has a large regular clientele which speaks for the popularity of the cafe.

Worst coffee and service we've had received in a long time... The coffee was undrinkable it was so bitter! A simple smile wouldn't go amiss!

One of my favourite coffee places in the West. Good coffee, yummy food and well run. I have been going there since it started and always enjoy. Staff are always friendly and even space outside for the dog. Try the sweet chilli scroll, very tasty. Why would you bother with hardware of Fringe when you can come to this one.
Emily
I'd rate this as by far the best Tittirangi cafe - the menu is varied and regularly changes, excellent coffee and consistently friendly service.

The place can get a little cramped on the weekends, but the friendly atmosphere means this is not too much of an issue. As a vegetarian I appreciate a good choice of dishes, and my only complaint would be that eggs and meat don't seem to be free range - at least they don't advertise it as such. Go free range and I'd be back every weekend!

Extremely disappointed as was expecting a lot more. We had to compete for space with 2 ladies on either side of us on laptops taking up space for 4 and 6 people.
The staff were rude, when my daughter said she didn't like Cronuts, the cashier lady gave her a dirty look. My Roast root vege salad consisted of potatoes and carrot that were boiled not roasted and when asked about the coffee my brother informed them it wasn't great and was called a "Wanker" by staff when he left the café.
And to be served a drink in an empty Dolmios jar is just horrible, Mason Jars are not expensive

My partner and I went to Vevo foodstore for breakfast this past Saturday after looking forward to a relaxing and yummy cafe breakfast after a long week.

We had been to Vevo before and had an okay meal so we thought we'd try it again since it's close by.

We each had eggs benedict with bacon and a flat white. The star is for the coffee, which was fine.

The eggs benedict was terrible. Overpriced (I don't mind paying more for free range and quality ingredients but this wasn't mentioned on the menu so I'm guessing it wasn't free range). I had been hoping to order a side of spinach with my eggs benedict but no sides were on the menu. The serving size of hollandaise sauce was generous but unfortunately it tasted terrible. There was a vinegary taste or acid taste and I can only guess that it was in the mustard that they added to the sauce (maybe it was a poor quality mustard?). Rather than a fresh, rich, buttery, and slightly lemony taste, it was oily, thin, and vinegary.

After we left, both my partner and I felt sick to our stomachs for several hours.

We wish we'd stayed home and made breakfast there instead. Needless to say we won't be back.
Cristina
Food is ok. Overpriced for what it is. Coffee is good. Service is shocking! The cashier/waitress will not spare a smile and when delivering your food won't check if you have cutlery. I been to this place a few times because I visit a friend and the other cafes are too packed - probably because of better service and food quality

Nice local cafe but lacks atmosphere. What stops me from returning more frequently are the Herne Bay prices.
I would rate this cafe as "good" but this rating doesnt exist on this website. There are 2 cafes within 100 metres of this one that I prefer.
Just bought one of their ready meals to have for dinner... the pork belly meat was tasty but bone dry... wouldnt eat this again...the last ready meal I had was a cottage pie... too much potato and not a lot of ooompf or meat... wouldnt buy again... not at $13 a pop.
So the rating I have given is a 3.5/5 for the cafe but a 2/5 for your ready meals...

Went to Vevo for brunch this morning and were stoked with the menu and the vibe there. As well as some new spins on old favourite breakfasts there were some brilliantly creative dishes too. I had a healthy, fresh and delicious smashed peas, broadbeans and feta with poached eggs. My partner had poached eggs with caramalised onions and fig and bacon jam. Both were stunningly presented and packed full of flavour. Up till now we have found pretty much all Titirangi dining disappointing. Our only complaint is that Vevo doesn't stay open for dinner because the chefs here are clearly passionate about what they do and nail it.

This is a lovely little place in Titirangi that serves gr8 food. Enjoyed Sunday brunch here with a friend. Had the salmon with eggs and mushroom on toast - both were bursting with flavour and cooked perfectly. Portion sizes are smaller than what one would get at a regular cafe but I prefer quality over quantity. The service is friendly but was a bit chaotic on that day, probably short staffed on that day I suppose? Didn't mind it anyway, as the warm service and gr8 food compensated for the long wait for coffee and food.

So thankful that a decent cafe has finally landed in Titirangi. Great coffee and fantastic food. One less star for service. Sorry but these guys are a little on the casual side, service is too relaxed - and I often end up having to remind them about an order. I agree with the first review about the grating humour. It translates as arrogance, unfortunately. Once they sort out that it will be perfect.

Yummy food and great coffees! I have a cafe closer to my house but the queue for coffee is such a long wait I can drive to this cafe and get my coffee and be back home in less time. The humour of one of the barristers is a bit grating but I get takeaways so doesn't matter!!!

Vevo cafe and food store is tucked away at back of the Titirangi mall and car park area. Light and open with view of Manukau harbour from back of cafe. The food is good to look at and delicious with a range of salads, savoury and sweet items. Coffee is excellent. Staff are attentive and friendly. A good alternative to the always popular Hardware. Also some well chosen deli foods and meals to choose from and take home.

Great new cafe addition to Titirangi. Food is beautifully plated, well cooked and the staff are very friendly and efficient. And the coffee is good. Recommend the vegetarian big breakfast and the salmon eggs benedict
