Amazing chicken thighs, crispy, tender and juicy. Rice is treated with various spices. It can be seen that the coffee cups have been carefully selected and have a special atmosphere.
There is a sense of art in the presentation of the plate, which not only satisfies the taste buds, but also enjoys the eyes. The restaurant has a large space, the space is arranged with intentions, and it is very clean and tidy.
The waiters are very busy, but they can still take good care of the guests in a friendly manner.

A nice cafe, 3 minutes’ walk from public parking place of the beach.
Have indoor and outdoor seats with customers from nearby community or visitors to the beach.
Food are very delicious. Recommend Grilled Calamari, a mix of the tenderness of calamari with fragrance of grill.
Two adults can share three orders.
The chef is very proud of his food, will insist you to personally come to the cafe and eat, very reluctant to serve by takeaway.
Will come back for their gelato.

Return to an old favourite. It was busy but tge service was flawless, attentive and unobtrusive. The meal 'Mushroom Medley' was a great portion size and lovely taste. The flat white was also 💯! What else could you ask for at brunch? Nothing it was perfect.

Great location, coffe and taste of food. But small portion for the price. I think it is based on Mediterranean food. We had egg Benedict with agria and char grilled calamari. Flavourful food and great components. But after finish, we had to order another scone. Do expect 30$ per person at least.

Lovely friendly staff.Delicious food. Best kids lunch box seen anywhere. Very very busy so it took ages for food to come but well worth the wait.
While we were there , someone complained about having to use the main door ( seems they wanted to use a side gate for whatever reason). Calmly, reasonably and politely handled by staff which is much more than can be said for the complainant. Well done Pt Chev Beach Cafe!!

Well we finally got to go to this amazing beautiful place in Pt chevalier just beautiful the end of the Road by the beach. We arrived at 12.00pm today it was very busy but we were able to get to table for two the atmosphere was great and the service was awesome not having to wait to Long to place a order for drinks and some yummy fish burgers and some fries and it was so Lovely and very yummy And to finish this beautiful day Who wouldn't like to have a yummy beautiful ice cream, plus a couple of Scones for tomorrow morning tea at home with my beautiful wife nianne. PLUS ,Thanks to the staff on the floor today for your excellent service 100% and with a smile 😃 😀 Thanks girls and THE BOSS. SEE YOU AGAIN.

Nice cafe at Point Chev. Coffee and food was served to me very quickly. Very efficient. Although the menu prices seems quite steep, but I guess they put themselves as quite high end.

10/10 service from the lovely waitress Greta, she greeted us and seated us with a big smile. Very attentive and checking if we needed anything and how our food was, I really appreciated this personable service that really impacted my time at the cafe. I can’t speak highly enough of the fabulous experience we had today! A dozen ladies gathered to celebrate the impending arrival of my next grand baby! Service was friendly and prompt, the atmosphere so welcoming! All the food arrived at our table together, impeccably presented and tasted as delicious as it looked! I’m a coffee fiend and think you would be hard pressed to find a better coffee in Auckland! Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful time at your cafe ❤️

Perry good cafe, very busy! We should have booked a table, however it seemed most of the neighbourhood had booked tables and not turned up! Ended up with a bit of an awkward setting situation lol! All good tho. Nice staff and decent food 😊

Cute modern cafe with plenty of street parking. The delicious chai latte and caramel latte was served to our table with lovely service. As we were still present near closing. We were given a friendly 10 minute verbal heads up that the cafe was close to closing time.

The cafe looked nice when we entered. Has a nice vibe. Ordered our food expecting good. We got WOW! We were all very impressed with the quality and uniqueness of our meals.
I had the cauliflower florets. Crispy but not oily. I was stoked with the meal.

Ordered the eggs Benedict- one of the best I’ve tried in Auckland, all the different elements and taste make it a stand out against other eggs Benes in the area. Secondly the mushroom stroganoff - home made, delicious, fresh ingredients. Worth every penny will definitely be back.

I have been to this great cafe about three times, from very busy to more relaxed today. We have always had great service and lovely food. Today I had the burger which was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Did not have to be some enormous squelch beast, but a perfect lunch dish. Thanks to all.

Lunched here yesterday, family birthday-wondered if we had found Fawlty Towers. �. A bowl of veges was ordered but only a small side of limp veg fringing an empty ceramic bowl was provided. Two waiters dismissed requests for more; one (Manuel?) explained slowly that the space was for paleo extras- meat etc. The idea of more veges in lieu of meat simply did not compute. The special teas were luke warm and bland. When paying (in full!) manager/Basil said to tell the waiter next time�. There won’t be one.

Went for dinner here last night with friends. I had booked as thought it would be busy. Arrived at 7, greeted promptly, had the choice of table. There was another group & couple dining already, so not busy, but I'm sure this will change as word gets out. A great local for us!
Our waiter was great,enjoyed the banter. The food was beautifully presented & delicious! We worked our way through to dessert which was worth the indulgence. We will definitely go again. Get in quick before these guys get really busy!

Compared to its predecessor this place is a significant step up in every area. The service is impeccable, the food exceptional with a great modern menu including great options for the kids, the atmosphere is buzzy but relaxed, and the interior design very a modern chic. The larger premises really helps too. Price is fairly high, however you're getting good quality product for it.
However there are some areas for improvement: When it's busy it's VERY noisy due to the loud noises eminating from the coffee machine, crashing plates, and kitchen. Everything echos. I would like to see the sounds softened somehow. I would like to see umbrellas on the outdoor tables to offer shade. Also the traditional Big Brekky, and the Eggs Benedict are missing from the menu. It's important to have a little bit of tradition for those that want it. Yes I can build a big brekky by adding the relevant extras together to form a single meal, but that's going to mean a $30-35 breakfast. I would also like to see some colouring books to keep the kids busy.
All in all a welcome addition to Pt Chev, however there is some room for improvement. Best of luck with the new venture.

Why on earth could you not serve my 8 yr old 2 flavours of ice cream?????? We ordered vanilla bean and then kindly asked if he could have a scoop of triple chocolate to go with it, we were happy to pay the difference.The answer was simply “no we can’t do that” WTF????????

Hello, I was waiting with such excitement for this new venture to open.
Decor
It's a great looking makeover so thumbs up. Lovely wooden tables and chairs. Funky lights. Would have been better to have the front windows opening as well as the French door. Air flow is cruicial.
Food
I think you need to do more sophisticated cabinet food labels. And a few more cabinet food options. The vege sandwich looks unappealing. Try something with haloumi and pesto etc. Vegan is great but also need gluten free. Meal portions are too small for the price. Perhaps consider a seperate lunch and dinner menu. I'm not sure if the owner is foreign but would be nice to add more of the foreign element. Perhaps the crochets could be larger. And the avocado dip could come as a starter option with lavoush for dipping.

Absolutely love this cafe. Weve always loved & stayed loyal to Delicious in Te Atatu Peninsula so were keen to try their new cafe in Pt Chev. Friendly staff, food is just delicious & beautifully presented. The atmosphere is very comfortable & I love the inside outside flow, with the opportunity to get an ice cream at the end. Now one of our favourite Auckland cafes & will definitely be back. Thanks Karim & the team.

As regular customers we were appalled at the rude behavior of one of the managers on sunday who hassled us to finish our coffees because they had a large party coming in. He hovered round us and took plates, cups glasses immediately they were used. It felt very uncomfortable and we left not to return despite being regulars. Bread and Butter cafe in future.
