Review Fokker Bros - Auckland Central

A very cool burger bar. A little on the pricey side, but the quality is definitely worth it. The shakes are pretty insane and over the top for sure! The Fokker burger with cheese is a perfect example of what a standard cheese burger should be. Definitely recommend!

The service is not too great, waiters are not very attentive and was just playing on his phone but the food is the redeeming quality. Burgers are great and full on flavor, I'd say above average even among the gourmet burger joints but you really pay for it, being up to $23 for a burger. The nachos are not worth it at all, very dry and lack of ingredients, about two thirds were just corn chips. The monster burger combo is something special but you really can't eat it as a burger.

Still a few kinks to work out. Burger came out missing half the ingredients. The staff however got it sorted straightaway. Good service and the food was all really really tasty. Would recommend and return.

Definitely worth the trip into the city centre. The burgers were delicious. Make sure to go for the combo as the fries were just as good. About the freakshakes...have one to share as they are good but way too sweet for one person to eat.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, tasty food, great milkshakes! Great drinks menu. Frenchie burger was very filling, but the donut bun's sugary glaze was unbearably sweet. Will be back to try the hotdogs, they look amazing. Highly recommend the loaded fries!

Love this place - had a classic shake (strawberry) and the Fokker Club with buttermilk-battered chicken. The kitchen was nice enough to swap the beer-battered fries for chips/crisps! Try to go here as often as I can - great service and food. Finally got to try the tuna melt and the kitchen was nice enough to swap the beer-battered fries for kumara fries. I had the hot sauce on the side ;o) both meals are my top picks.

"The best burger in Auckland" a motto reasonably well kept. Not that I have tried all the burgers in Auckland but I don't expect the one I had to be the best. I had the Bacon Mac and Cheese Burger because it sounded horrifying. It was in fact reasonable but the Mac was unnecessary- it did not add to flavour or texture, but I was pleased with the 5 cheeses as it added a creamy-ness not found in your typical McDonald's burger. The chips were the cherry on top for me as they were perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside, much like a tater-tot. Location- good View-average for location Price- good for location Service- neither really here nor there, very casual Food- some really good parts, nothing bad I would visit here again for a casual meal.

Great burgers. The beef patty cooked at medium was juicy and tasty. Service from the waitress was good. Thick cut fries that are beer battered.

Great burgers, I tried the Fokker Cheese burger which was great and the Funky Chicken burger. The chicken in the burger was a bit dry so wouldn't get that burger again. The Sweet Potato fries were amazing. Will definitely go back to this place.

I've been to here 3 times. The first time I ordered lamb, second time I ordered the kiwi black, and this time I ordered fokker club (sandwich). I love every meal I ordered. Apart from burger, the chips is also good.

Burger was good, but the real star of the show was the chips. Saw they had loaded chips on the menu, would definitely go back just for loaded chips and a few beers. I got the buffalo chicken burger and it was a tasty burger but it wasn't very spicy...but I'm not complaining, there's hot sauces at the table. Would recommend.

Yeah actually i do agree it being one of the nice burger places in Auckland, so it gets to be added to my list of burger places to go. The bonus was the fries - o.m.g i have a thing for fries and these guys do it gooooood. Also it being on the waterfront makes it a very funky location to be.

I had a philly cheesesteak and although they didnt have the bread for it, I was offered a bun and it tasted good to me. Caesar salad was good and preferred the egg over it over sardines. Unfortunately the lamb burger is dry and two people in my party had burgers, one said it was good the other said it was the worst burger ever, I didn't taste it so I will not judge. The wings are whole, not cut into flats and drumsticks like traditional places do.

Good food and fast service. Tested the burger and it was huge (the same with the fries). Burger might need a bit of tuning with the flavour :)

My fave dish here is the plain old Fokker Cheese burger – a saucy burger with cheese on beef patty with onion, tomato and lettuce.<br/><br/>I ordered this takeaway to down with a beer. It was as good as eating the burger at the eatery.<br/>The restaurant is more of a bar with a friendly atmosphere so its a great place to catch up with friends near the viaduct. There are seats in the semi-outdoors area for summer.<br/><br/>The phone number I rang was for a different place so had to order when I got there. Great service, takes a while for the burger to come out but tastes great.

After seeing the photos on zomato we expected a high quality meal. Each burger was dramatically underwhelming and looked nothing as reviewed before. The chicken burger simply wasn’t good at all. You get an extremely poor portion for what you pay, with fries being extra. Extremely disappointed and underwhelmed.

Disappointed with our visit to Fokkers last night. This used to be a favourite among my work mates & I. I finally had the chance to take my partner here last night to enjoy the amazing burgers.... we both ordered the sweet as burger (my favourite). But when it arrived at the table it looked absolutely nothing like what I had had previously. The bun resembled what you’d buy at the supermarket for home made burgers, the chicken wasn’t the same succulent chicken breast as before... it was an over cooked schnitzel like thing. I’ve attached a photo of the burger I had last year... & the one I had last night. felt like I was in a completely different restaurant. The beer battered fries were amazing as per usual. But disappointed in the drop in quality of the burgers... unfortunately won’t be returning, unless price point is lowered to reflect their new style...

Burgers and sandwiches were hugely overpriced. All the food was underseasoned and the meat in the Philly cheesesteak was tough and overcooked. Big let down.

Came here as purchased voucher from Groupon. I was always thinking this was a high-class burger restaurant... In reality,  either a standard for this kind of things is much lower or we just were unlucky enough to get pretty average food and service.<br/>I ordered a cheeseburger and it was nothing more than okay...Just really simple. Can't even write more. For $19 guys...sorry but it's not worth it. My partner got a vegetarian burger and got disappointed as it was dry with little to no of halloumi cheese - basically beetroot, lettuce, peanuts and bun (maybe stingy chef?). It took almost 20 minutes (having said the restaurant was empty on Sunday noon) to get our food. Service was also so so- we weren't offered water or asked if we wanted any drinks. Another thing to mention- (sorry) restrooms...definitely need renovation or at least toilet paper in ladies. Overall, a lot of room for improvements. Can't recommend this place :(

Location, atmosphere, cleanliness and service were all excellent. My friend got the Fokker Cheese and I got the mac and cheese burger. The MNC was nothing special and you could barely taste the mac and cheese which was disapppointing. My friend also said her burger was good but nothing special - definitely not the best burgers in Auckland. That said, the menu looks really good and I'm keen to try something else.

We enjoyed our dinner at Fokker Bros. It’s a good hangout spot in the area if you want to sit down and chat with friends as it’s not as loud compared to some pubs and not to quiet compared to other diners. The staff were polite and accomodating. Our order come out in a few minutes and in very good quality. The menu was simple which is good esp. when you just want to have that burger+fries+milkshake combo American style.<br/><br/>We will definitely come back to dine again and would recommend the place. ok tasting. Interesting combos. Portions could be bigger for the price. Then again it is the viaduct so premium, I guess. Ordered the Mac and cheese and bacon burger. Took the bun less option with an extra patty. $23.50. Service friendly if a bit slow. Not too impressed nor unimpressed. Just ok

Lunch stop cause we weren’t a fan of the French festival.... ordered the beer battered fries, strawberry classic shake, funky chicken burger and the classic burger. The fried were very chrunchy which let’s face it is all you want. The shake had a ton of whipped cream on top but I devoured it before I could take a picture 🙄 the beef burger came with pickled onions which is different but nice and the chicken was chrunchy n juicy. All in all great food with service

The burgers at Fokker Bros are classic. Went twice in one week. Had the kiwi burger and then had the sweet as burger. So good and would be a definite visit again.

The porker had a charcoal bun which taste old and stale with an unpleasant chew. The patty was quite dry as well with a tad hint of bbq from the pulled pork. The fokker cheese was better, but definitely had nicer cheeseburgers with a better value. The onion rings were over-fried to the point where it was hard, and the curly fries were all clumped together. We also had to wait around 20mins for someone to take our orders, and another 45mins for food, despite having a lack of customers. Overall it was quite underwhelming and not really worth the value or the time waited 😬

I loved my experience here, food was great. Fokker Bros have the best buffalo wings. Great customer service. It is a great place to come to on a Sunday afternoon. Will come back again.

I've read about this place online and thought to myself why not give this place a go.. Food was good, i got the Kiwi Black Burger and 1/2 KG of Wings. Nothing Special with the meal.. I would recommend coming here with a few mates and taking on that Monster Burger Challenge for $70. 4 stars because of the price of 22 For only 6 Wings..

Grabbed two snacks at Fokker Bros and yet they were very filling. You can never go wrong with chicken and chips and what better when served with a side of aioli.

Nothing too special, we ordered the hotdog and the mac n cheese burger they don’t come with fries unfortunately so had to order curly fries on the side (which didn’t come with any sauce too). A bit slow on the service but we didn’t really mind. Overall an average experience, good food although it lacks the wow factor, nonetheless glad we could use our gold privilege here.

Very good experience. We took two kiwi black burgers, a sweet potato and a cheese bites. Everything’s perfect. And I really like that cheese ball. Perfect foods.

Staff are polite. Always checking if everything is okay. Burgers are to die for. The Shakes...Can never go wrong with that. Chocolate shake Ice Cream with Kit-Kat, M&Ms and Oreo. It's worth my money try it 👌🏼

Tried this black burger, so juicy and full of flavors. I can tell they are serious about burgers. Highly recommended to burger lovers. It will be better if they offer combos I.e. with chips. ;)

Bit pricey but sooo good. We had the lamb burger and the chicken one with bacon. The burgers were good but the poutine curly fries are absolutely to die for! Would definitely recommend :)

It was really delicious we got the vegetarian burger, the curly fries and the mac and cheese bites. Very yum. The food came out in a timely manner we probably waited only 15 minutes. The environment is really nice it was quite warm on such a cold day. The staff were nice.

Very bad service, we were not given glasses and they gave us not our correct full order. The food itself was okay, my friends enjoyed their meat food but i did not like my vegetarian burger. it was bland and not very tasty. We also had some bird poo on our table that we had to wipe off. They did not say that there was bacon in their salad so that was a shock too. I payed $3 for avocado and could barely see it. Apart from all of this, the hotdog was apparently quite nice. Not planning on coming back.

The sandwich and burger were heavier meals for our liking, it was hard to really enjoy it for our personal taste. Went for lunch today with a work colleague and we ordered Kiwi Black Burger, Mac and Cheese Burger and Curly Fries. They are all ok I think but not wowing me. Nothing much to rave about. Good service though 😬🙂 All in all a plain Jane or an average Joe of the burger joints 🤓

Great burgers, fantastic kumara fries. Classic American style burger joint with a nice touch of Kiwi. Real nice atmosphere and meal for a cold evening.

As a vegetarian it's hard to find burgers that aren't too dry and unfortunately this one did fall onto the drier side. Service however was lovely and the fries were great! My partner had a cheeseburger and enjoyed his. Considering there was only one other table seated at that time, our food did take a bit longer than expected to come out.<br/>Would give it a 3 or 3.5 but with Zomato gold our meal turned out to be a deal

My partner is a massive burger connoisseur and he rates Fokker Brothers as his favourite Burger Joint so far! He always opts for their signature black bun burger and although it is a bit pricey - he says it’s well worth it every time! <br/><br/>You can change your bun for lettuce with any of their burgers which I think is a good menu option for most people these days. Their kumara fries are perfection!!!

Friday nights everywhere are always swamped but despite just having 3 staff on duty the service was amazingly efficient. There was a queue outside to begin with, asked for a contact number so they’ll call when there is an available table. It’s good thinking so no one would be standing outside hovering their eyes on which table is about to finish. Service was fantastic, super friendly staff and the food was great. Ordered the all time favourite Black Burger 😊

We went here for dinner, its a decent place with a casual atmosphere and lots of seating.<br/><br/>For food we ordered the Funky chicken | The lamb | Fokker club | Fokker cheese in lettuce | Curly fries | Chocolate shake. I actually picked the place after seeing all the good reviews of how amazing the taste is but it was a huge let down. My funky chick was very bland there was no flavour at all, same with the fokker club. My sister ordered her fokker with lettuce which we thought would be like burgerfuel but the ratio was so off and not worth it. On the bright side, the curlys were really yum and alot! And so was the shake. <br/><br/>Overall idk if I’d go back, maybe for their sides and just the general vibe of the place.

Was very disappointed by the service. Our group of 7 waited for a booth while it was taken by a single customer, despite smaller tables being available. After some time, the staff arranged for that customer to move to make space for us. When we ordered we were informed that shakes had run out, but another table which arrived after us promptly received their shakes and even their burgers before us. Meanwhile our table waited for 20min before receiving any water and another 20min for food. Unlikely to return.

Really good burgers. I ordered the mac n cheese burger and it was amazing. The patty is cooked nicely - not dry etc. The mac n cheese was generous. It was a little difficult to pick up with things falling out but that wasn’t really a problem. The onion rings and curly fries were pretty standard but good.

Shared the bacon mac n cheese burger + kiwi black burger + beer battered chips. The burgers here are so delicious and juicy balanced with fresh greens. Beer battered chips were also great. Favourite would have to be kiwi burger. That being said have to credit the mac n cheese but had to add some sauce because it didn't have much of sweet component to balance unlike the kiwi black which had tomatoes and beetroot. Now the negatives, this place gets BUSY and there were only 2 floor staff. Appreciate the manager letting us know politely and honestly due to the wait times, the drinks would be ages so we didn't end up ordering. They got so busy that they lost tabs of the order that we had to repeat our order and only realised after we got charged more. Still giving these guys a positive outcome because they hustle as much as they can given the volume of customers and lack of staff but of course also because of the food... But not everyone may be as forgiving!

Tried their best seller - kiwi burger with charcoal bun.. did not disappoint! Mac n cheese is a must try too! <br/>My friend and i loved the food and friendly service. Good to have used the gold zomato as well.. will recommend to friends and family... will def come back. (Its a family restau after all!)

Waited over 40 minutes for our food, even though a table that arrived 10+ minutes after we had already ordered ended up getting their food before us. We attempted to order a thickshake, and the waitress told us that it was unavailable, later we see that the same table who arrived after us got two thickshakes. We also waited for 30 minutes just to get water for the table, and they ended up giving us 6 cups for a group of 7. The food was okay, it's a shame the service was so bad. Should have just gone to Burger Fuel.

I went there with friends during happy time. Hot dogs are good, but the bread was replaced by the baguette which were a little bit hard, and the cider machine is broken so that we cannot order cider and cocktail which is a pity.

We came here as party of 2 with a First Table reservation. We ordered the Special Juicy Lucy Burger, Philly Cheesesteak, Buffalo Wings, and Poutine.<br/><br/>The American-themed interior was very nice with old music flowing through the TVs and speakers.<br/><br/>The burger was absolutely massive. I loved the two thick, juicy beef patties and the fried pickle was an excellent touch. <br/><br/>I was surprised to see the cheesesteak served in a burger bun instead of the promised hoagie roll when it first came to our table, but I just assumed that they ran out and thus had to substitute it with a burger bun. The beef was a bit too chewy but I absolutely loved the cheese, onion and capsicum. There was a bit too much pepper for my liking. <br/><br/>The buffalo wings were delicious and some of the best I’ve ever had. There was a good amount of hot sauce and the chicken was really soft and juicy. <br/><br/>I’d never seen curly fries being used in poutine before, but it was definitely a good replacement for normal fries as I feel like curly fries stay crunchier for longer. I loved the flavour of the gravy but there was definitely too much - it was almost like a soup, thus it wasn’t too pleasant when it got to the end and all the fries were drenched in the salty gravy.

Fokker Bro’s burgers are generally one of the best in town. But their recent service and price hikes have led to a slip in their quality of food and service.<br/><br/>I waited an hour for a burger during lunch hour where more than half the restaurant was empty. This was totally unacceptable, there was only 1 kitchen staff and one on waiting tables. <br/><br/>The service was incredibly slow, the waitress even forgot that we had ordered food when we asked to get ours taken away as it was way past lunch hour by the time the food came.<br/><br/>Fix this please. Food is usually good here but the service speed was just unacceptable. <br/><br/>No photo as it was a takeaway and doesn’t look anywhere as good as it should in a takeaway box.

Achieving coalescence of culinary modernity and Kiwi cuisine, Fokker Bros pretty much nailed it.<br/><br/>The Kiwi Black (Charcoal Bun Kiwiburger) definitely hits the spot if you’re craving a proper burger like myself that day. Their burgers are filled with fresh salads (not dead like at most places) and, most importantly, juicy patties. The Hangover Dog was satisfying to say the least and definitely lives up to its name - helping you overcome the hardest hangovers, wrapped in the most amazing bun that’s perfect for hot dogs. Their beer-battered fries are a staple side and I feel you can never go wrong with these, however the Mac’n’cheese Balls were a bit disappointing since they were quite dry and not as cheesy.<br/><br/>Great staff, great service, perfect location. Given their location, they have reasonable value for money but then they’re especially worth it with Zomato Gold. Located in Viaduct Harbour.

Fokker Bros has the potential to be great but their execution needs a bit more improvement. We visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night and were told the kitchen has run out of chicken and vege burgers options. Not off for a great start but alrightly, beef and lamb burgers would do. <br/>We ordered the Poker Burger, the Cheese Fokker, Mac n Cheese bites and chocolate milkshake. For 2 people, that were a generous portions, which was awesome! <br/>However, we found the Mac n Cheese bites to be really bland, barely any seasoning sadly. We ended up putting Sriracha on them to add some flavours so that were alright in the end. <br/>Burgers were fine, couldn’t really taste their special sauce but maybe that’s just us. <br/>In conclusion: Fokker Bros have great potential as their ambience is awesome and their staff is nice. But I am not in a rush to come back and there are so many others nice burgers places in Auckland CBD.

Lamb Burger<br/>Beer Battered Fries<br/><br/>Lamb Burger was well presented. The meat was juicy and succulent with a good blend of flavours. The bread was slightly dry but the coleslaw and cheese melted in to balance this. <br/>Fries were crunchy and well done but nothing special on the flavour front. <br/><br/>Service was friendly but a little slow and the ordering process was a little unclear.

Ordered the Fokker cheese burger with beer battered fries. The burger was so yum but the only negative was the patty was quite salty. The fries were super crispy & perfectly salted. Servings are generous for the price. Customer service was lacking as when we walked in we were not greeted or even acknowledged... and took ages for the waitress to come get our order. But food was enjoyable, so I will be back to try the other burgers!<br/><br/>Edit: went again today & got the Fokker cheese again! - the patty was a lot better today & ordered the chips again 😍😍 my friend ordered the Mac n cheese burger which looked amazing! (But apparently there was too much cheese for his liking).<br/><br/>Went back AGAIN & got the kiwi burger & can confirm it’s my fav!!!

Lunch during rainy day with Denny Setiawan and this is how we spent the weekend lunch.. ordered kiwi blackburger and the lamb for us.. definitely love the kiwi blackburger and they have unique flavor.. yummy and delicious

Great burgers for a casual after work catchup or for weekend outing in Viaduct. Shakes are awesome too (just a bit hard to finish if also having a Burger)

The food was good but overpriced for what it is. The bathrooms were really bad, 2/3 toilets couldn’t be used and in the 1 that could be used there was no soap which is not good for a food establishment. The menus shown online are not up to date, so we weren’t able to get what we originally planned. Probably won’t go back as I think it is a little over hyped and there are places with better food at a more affordable price. The staff was also really nice and helpful which was good 😊

Very over priced for the quality and size of the burgers. The Vege burger was so dry, ate less than a quarter. Milk shake was 3/4 whipped cream. Customer service was well below par also. Disappointing as it’s in a very desirable location

The food was good, very indulgent. I ordered the nachoes which were amazing and huge (probably meant to share). The deep fried mac'n'cheese was also very nice. Only order dessert/freakshakes if you're up to a challenge, very sweet and filling!<br/>The ambience is fun with a big mix of older and modern music.<br/>Service was good too.

Went there for dinner and I loved the American vibe. The staff were really great and friendly. The burgers were really good, buns were super soft. As soon as they came on to the table we demolished it in just a few minutes. It was that good! Would come back here again with friends!

Really enjoyed the bacon mac n cheese burger here. Nice to see a burger menu with some fresh ideas on it. The staff who served us were really friendly, however, one bloke had no shoes on which was a bit odd 😂

Use to love this place. Food is awesome especially the beer batter fries however they do not offer combos anymore and don't screen live sport anymore which is extremely disappointing.

We had a bad experience at Fokker bros with both the service and the food. We ordered a burger each two fries and chicken bites, the chicken bites came first and these were ok. We were waiting for the rest of our food and noticed the table who had come in after us got their food before us and we waited a while then my partners burger came and he finished his meal and mine still hadn’t come nor had either of our fries. The waitress finally came to ask if we wanted anything else 10 min after my partner finished his burger so we said I haven’t got any of my food yet. I then saw her go speak to other staff members and they were all talking and pointing but nobody came back to speak to us or apologise. About 15 mins later they brought over my burger and asked if everything was ok and but no apology and were quite rude when I said we still hadn’t got our fries. My burger was really really bad, I couldn’t eat it. It was so soggy and everything about it was just not nice I couldn’t even eat it. We tried to cancel the fries but he said they were 2 min away so we ate those as I was still hungry from not eating my burger. At the end a lovely staff member who we had not seen the entire night came to apologise to us and said he would pay for our entire meal for our inconvenience??? We were so confused as we hadn’t seen this staff member the entire night and felt so bad that he said he would pay for our meal himself on his tab? But he insisted. Yet none of the other staff members who we actually had problems with bothered to apologise. Overall the food was super average and the service really needs work.

Awesome joint by the harbor. Finally my quest for a proper burger place is over. Had the Kiwi Black burger and it lived up to its hype in all departments. The beer battered fries were the best I had till date. Splendid taste, awesome presentation, great service and a super dope location. No complaints whatsoever. Would definitely give the hot dogs a try on my next visit.<br/>If you're looking for good burger joint, give this place a try. You'll love it.

Excellent ambiance and service. <br/><br/>The Porker burger was brilliant. The combination between cheese, pork, pineapples and pickles is awesome. <br/><br/>The lamb was alright. I wish it was juicier and more flavoursome. <br/><br/>Overall a good experience, although it is on the pricier side.

The burgers here are so delicious and massive. Their fries are always so good, they also have specials - better to always ask staff what this is!<br/><br/>It is located right on viaduct harbour and you get to see the nice view when eating here at night.

Such a good experience! Service was lovely, burgers were amazing, and the frosé was so good as well! I got the chunky chicken with avo and cheese and it was everything I’d hoped for. The bun was lovely and soft. My friend for the Fokker classic, that was also amazing. Will definitely be back for more :)

Came here for a company function and then again with my wife. Enjoyed the gourmet burgers and friendly service. Will definitely be back again.

If you're after a good burger or hot dog give Fokker Bros a try!<br/>The Philly cheese steak, although a little pricey at $20 was still filling. The steak was cooked well, very tender and combined with the cheese was fantastic.<br/>Their classic burger is simple but tasty. The beef patty had a strong char grilled flavour which compliments the pickled onion well.<br/>Their shakes are awesome too.

Food is average at best .... kids cheese burger chewy, no chips in the kids meal, you have to pay extra for that. Fish and chips just that - no salad or greenery to speak of. Expensive for what you get. Sauce bottles on table were filthy. Wine list uninspired. Service was fine but overall, I was quite disappointed.

Ordered the hog dog, wasn’t a fan of it and the bun wasn’t so nice.. next time I think I will try the other hot dogs. The all black burger was superb! Sides were alright I enjoyed the onion rings the most.

Had the sweet as burger and kumara fries, which were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed and although the staff were super attentive it simply didn’t feel like it was needed here. Only things that needs improving is cleaning up things like the sauce bottles, otherwise really cute and a lot of fun details.

OH MY GOSH. If you’re wanting the feast to end all feasts, Fokker Bros is the place to go. Tucked away in its own little corner on the Viaduct, this place has a laid-back, comfy atmosphere with friendly servers. I have been twice and both times our server acted as if we had known each other for years, which is really nice. This first time I ordered the Mac and cheese burger (I forget the name) with fries. First off, IT’S HUGE. But it’s awesome. Every element is perfect and works in harmony with each other - you can really tell that they’ve really trialled these crazy burger concepts before slapping them all together, and for the size of the burger, the prices make it all worth it. However, what I will note is that the Freakshakes aren’t really anything I’d rave about. While they definitely look the part I don’t think the actual milkshake itself is worth the price point - if you’re going to Fokker Bros, definitely stick to burgers!

Service was good. Food was very average, although overpriced. Found it strange how the burgers were served barely warm... Cheap martini $6 and $10 espresso martini made up for it. <br/><br/>The best thing about this place is the atmosphere and the location and drinks. I really like the music played, and it was just at the right volume so we can still talk easily. Simply the best gourmet burgers in Auckland. <br/>Sometimes it takes a bit longer than normal but once those beauties are in the table, the day becomes better. Best chips too. Sooo love them.

I mean this place takes hotdogs to the next level. The hotdog I ordered through ubereats was longer than the container lol. I would have preferred the sausage to have more flavour but hey, they’re keeping the American hotdog thing pretty traditional I guess.<br/>Apparently the sausages are nz made so that’s a bonus.<br/>Would order again.

2 hairs were (which look obviously not mine) in my Yankees hotdogs...When I kindly asked the chef/waiter to change it because it looks yuck, they just said “huh okay” and no apologies at all. The photo is my second hotdog, the combo fries were really good but hotdog tastes below average(sausage tastes nothing special..) and the staff is not caring.I am very very disappointed so I will never go back.

I have to be honest, after looking forward to finally getting to go to Fokker bros i did walk away slightly disappointed. Although the “sweet as” burger and fries were absolutely top notch and couldn’t be better my partner and I decided to order and share a chocolate freak shake. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on one of these shakes.. it came out looking absolutely nothing like all the pictures and failed to have some of the ingredients it listed! There was not even a doughnut or icecream, it was simply chocolate milk with a little canned whipped cream on top with a couple of Oreos. Very very disappointing.

This place has a great range of burgers and i absolutely love what the combo includes.<br/>The beer battered fries here are insane! So incredibly crisy and flavoursome I could eat those alone. Ordered the hangover hot dog, mac and cheese burger and buffalo wings. Hotdog was pretty delicious and so were the wings but the mac and cheese burger was pretty average.

The burgers here are really good and the staff are great. It does get busy at lunch time, so just be ready for that if you don't go early. I once accidentally got normal sauce instead of it being dairy free, the staff were really good about getting me a dairy free one instead so I have been there a few times since. You can get a lettuce burgers if you can't have a normal burger, it's much lighter but still good 😉

We were craving American hotdogs and we ordered "the hangover" an "the hot dog" by uber eats. Uber eats was fast and efficient but the meal was disappointing, we got wrong sauces and bits of dry bacon on both of them, i hardly taste the jalapenos and bread was hard to eat, sausage's quality weren't special at all. It looks exactly same as the supermarket (nothing wrong with that but not for that price) . We came 2 years ago exactly for the same order and was absolutely amazing, second time was ok considering flavour still there although the size was smaller than the first one..but was a massive size but not good for what we paid. I believe they can do much better and try it again but after 2 years nothing changed .. I wont come back and recommend unless you enjoy priceless supermarket sausages.

The food was amazing and it was a friendly great atmosphere. I went here on a date with my boyfriend in February. The only thing that was off putting was the waitress attending to our table. She was quite rude and only would adress my date and would ignore me when I would try and order. This made us uncomfortable because I usually am the more outspoken one. She was always very persistent on getting us alcohal despite us wanting water. She also ignored us for an hour and when we wanted desert, my boyfriend had to walk up to her and ask her if we could order again. She gave a dirty look to my boyfriend apperently according to him. Otherwise the other staff was friendly and great to talk to:)

The food here is pretty nice. The servings are quite large, the milkshakes are incredible. The staff seem friendly and the location is nice, right next to the water. But on the more pricy side for diner food but overall a good experience

We were quite happy that they were being honest and we know in advanced so the wait didn’t feel that long. The atmosphere though is quite “down”. The place did not have much decoration and felt more like a sport bar since they had many screens showing Rugby but no body was cheering or yelling 😂 so sport atmosphere but not there yet. It’s more like a place for super casual dining, having a burger and a beer with your mates. <br/>The burger is pretty much the star of the night. We had the fokker cheese and buffalo wings 1kg. The burger meat was moist and tasty, buffalo wings is good but I wish they have a smaller portion. I might be a bit tough on the rate but I think to stand out from all the others restaurants around in such a busy location it needs to be more “special” <br/>

Loved the curly fries and macaroni and cheese balls. The burger was big however im not really a fan of celery and so it was alright for me. I wish i ordered something different. But the chicken in the burger was good. The overall environment of the restaurant was nice. Very chill vibe.

There is also a range of salads and other classic dishes too if burgers and hot dogs don’t tickle your fancy. <br/><br/>After devouring ‘The Hot Dog’, which had bacon, fig & marsala chutney and crispy balsamic onions topped on a frankfurter with a drizzle of chipotle sauce all I wanted were more more more! But in all seriousness, one was enough for me! I swear that hot dog was longer than my face. <br/><br/>I wasn’t about to dine at Fokker Bros and not order a burger! We also had “The Funky Chicken”, which was a free-range chicken breast coated in buttermilk batter, tomato, lettuce and a ranch dressing. All it took was one bite and it sent me straight to paradise. <br/><br/>But that wasn’t all we had either! Even though one dish is more than enough to fill this tummy of mine! So yes, portion size is generous and well worth the price. <br/><br/>I was craving Mac n Cheese balls for what felt like a million years and I was super stoked to see that on their menu! This dish is part of their new menu and it is absolutely breathtaking! As a true lover of mac n cheese - I can honestly say Fokker Bros do it justice! <br/><br/>Aside from food, service was pretty average as it was quite quiet when I went and the staff sort of sat there doing their own thing. However, the ambience is nice as it is near the Viaduct and there’s reasonable seating also. A caveat in that I have not tried the burgers here, so my review might not be totally accurate. <br/><br/>Came here under the suggestion from one of my colleagues who enjoyed Fokker Bro’s happy hour drinks, having a few drinks it was easy to see why my colleague liked coming here. 6$ Margaritas, 7$ Coke and rum and a variety of other deals, I appreciate that the bartender gave us a solid shot of alcohol and didn’t try to skim us on that. So good job to the staff at Fokker Bros and if you’re in a spot to down some pre-drinks I would highly recommend this place.<br/><br/>We also ordered some poutine curly fries, they were fabulous. Couldn't have asked for a better pairing with our drinks than poutine fries.<br/><br/>Service was cheerful and attentive.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Happy Hour drinks and poutines fries.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B+

Service was fast and friendly. Food came out quickly despite it being quite busy (12:30pm on a Friday). Portions were very filling and good ratio of meat/salad/bun. Curly fries were very crispy! <br/>Would definitely come back

I haven't actually been to Fokker bros but I have ordered off uber a few times so I can't comment on service. The food is great. the sweet as burger is to die for as well as the chicken littles, the chips are pretty good considering they sit out for a bit while being delivered. The only issue I had was I tried one of the hot dogs which was good but was drenched in sauce to the point where I couldn't see the toppings or any sign of the sausage, as a sauce lover it's not the biggest issue and it may have been a one-off issue after reading other reviews. Will definitely order again and hopefully make it in store.

The most disappointing meal I’ve had in a very long time, and if anyone knows me well, they know that shitty food upsets me to the core. <br/>Ordered the Club Sandwich with the buttermilk chicken and got the grilled. Told the waiter (who might I add was really nice and accommodating and tried his best) he apologised and sent it back - no big deal right?<br/>Wrong. Kitchen kept making him send it back proclaiming I was wrong and I had ordered wrong and it was the right meal. Sent it back again and they realised that indeed it was wrong. They tried to amend it so I will give them that, but ridiculously, they tried to pull a fast one over me and took the same bits of grilled chicken out of the already made sandwich and attempted to deep fry it and claim that it was the buttermilk chicken. <br/>It was dry and still unsure due to the extra cooking how it still managed to be bone cold. <br/>Pretty sad and disappointing considering I used to rave on and on about Fokker Bros. It was one of my favourites and I even managed to get all my friends on to it. Will not be coming back for another round.

Visited Fokker Bros this evening with quite high hopes, and ended up leaving unsatisfied. The food itself was pretty good, however the poutine and the beef burger were a little overcooked, no biggie however. What left me annoyed was the poor service. From the male waiter choosing to remain seated at the bar on his phone rather than seating us upon arrival, to him taking his break inside the restaurant with his feet up on the seats while his colleague hustled around during peak dinner service trying to serve the rest of the tables. We saw 2 groups come and go during our dinner as they sat for 10 minutes without a basic greeting. I'm sure the staff there are a lot better and we may have caught them on an off night, but it was seriously poor tonight.
