Review Andiamo - Auckland Central

Had a great time celebrating a birthday here. Staff were professional and food was great. Special mentions are the Mac n cheese and rigatoni.

Such an amazing place to have a date, or dine in with friends or for special occasions. I surprised with their food, will go there again šŸ„°šŸ˜‹

Me and my friends came here recently. The food was really good and reasonably priced for a nice restaurant. I loved how the flavours in each dish complimented each other and they made the spice/heat in each dish really manageable (my friend that hates spice was able to try everything). Will be returning.

Amazing cozy atmosphere, very friendly waiter, great food. Separate kids menu. Will definitely come again!

This review is rather belated - but I wanted to let it reflect on Andiamo. We booked for a team farewell and received a wonderful experience. Not only was the food very satisfying, Benjamin went out of his way to accommodate our group and provided a genuinely hospitable service - topped with a special surprise I had not anticipated. Carbonara was authentic (have not had many better in Auckland), fish had great texture, entrees flavourful. A shame I didn't get to try the green clam spaghetti which seems to have been a seasonal menu and now a different variation - it looked too good on the neighbouring table. Overall proper, attentive dishes that justify eating out. Tasteful ambience. I feel this restaurant is managed by someone with a heart that wants to gift customers joy through what he has to offer - what hospitality is and should be all about. Definitely returning on visits home, and looking forward to more beautiful food.

Cheese lovers, go for the Bianca (pizzette)! Melting in the mouth with fresh truffle tastes. Truffle is at an affordable price and is upon request. Love the fish and crayfish meatballs, very unique creation. Medium rare Wagyu and burnt cauliflower is just another perfect dish. Staff are always available even theyā€™re so busy! on a Tuesday night!

Food was absolutely amazing and the service was even better. Didnā€™t catch the waiters name but was one of the best serviced dining experiences we have had. He had great recommendations and was attentive throughout the evening. The cod meat balls and bistecca steak were divine! Would recommend to anyone seeking a fine dining experience with quality and comfort. šŸ˜Š

Each one of the six dishes we shared on our table was absolutely divine and the service is wonderful. Cocktails are also exquisite. Highly recommend this restaurant for a gourmet dining experience. Ample parking around the streets (on a weekday).

We popped in yesterday (Saturday lunchtime) when our other usual spots were busy. We were seated immediately inside by the maitre d', who was friendly and efficient without being gushy. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing and very helpful. We ordered drinks which came quickly and were well presented. We ordered the fish, the crayfish and cod meatballs, and the clams with pasta. They had no issue providing a gluten free option for my husband. There was wait for our meals but not ridiculously long and the delicious food was worth it. Everything we ordered was perfect for lunch. The restaurant itself had a minimalist comfortable feel. My only criticism would be we requested an inside table because I get cold easily and we were seated next to the bi fold doors which were opened part way through our visit meaning I could feel the wind but not the sun. However this was easily resolved by borrowing a few blankets from the outside tables. We found the food and service excellent and will be back

Excellent food and expert guest service. Every dish is packed with amazing flavours. My favourite was the Burrata from the new menu. The Cod and Crayfish balls were a table favourite too. Definitely going back for more and telling everyone about it. Ps. Remember, the Tiramisu is a must!

Andiamo used to be one of my favourite eateries so I was really glad that it re-opened! The menu was of course different to the previous one but it was just as good. There are a range of Italian inspired dishes that were fantastic. Try the Gnocchi or the octopus dish - you won't be disappointed. Great cocktails too!

Delicious. For 2 we ordered the bruschetta (3 stars), small macaroni (yummy, but too cheesy) and pizette bianca (amazing. The best). We took home half the pizette, thanks to waitress for recommending the small size macaroni. The ambience was nice, cosy and elegant but tables were too close together. Cocktail was so good too. Definitely recommend the pizette bianca, ot has truffle and potatoes

Went for a casual lunch date with the wife. Really nice food and great service. Highly recommend.

Great Italian place with delicious food! The starters were great, although the bruschetta wasnā€™t really what I expected but still tasted good. Cacio e pepe and it was super yum! I think theyā€™re more for sharing as the portions were pretty huge! Fairly reasonably priced considering the portion size.

First thing I noticed was the lovely, minimalistic decor and warm interior! Came in on a Friday around 2pm and it was fairly busy but I was seated promptly. We ordered one piece of focaccia, small serving of macaroni cheese and the butternut risotto. Im a sucker for bread so the focaccia was great! The smell of the macaroni and risotto were divine. Both were delicious but I did find them to taste quite rich after a few bites and were super filling with the amount of cheese. Overall the meal was good, but definitely needed a small fresh salad on the side to balance out the heavy richness.
Food
My partner and I came here on a Friday night with no reservation. The place was busy but there was one table left and manager was very accommodating. Our food all came very quickly! We shared the bruschetta, which was tasty. The Mac n cheese was a delicious cheesy dream and the fries were heavenly. Crispy, salty, and completed with truffle oil and parmasean. Itā€™s definitely not a cheap eat, but we didnā€™t find it overpriced for the amount of dishes we ordered for two people. 10/10 will be returning. Worth the amount of calories that were consumed šŸ˜‚

Wow. What an amazing night. The hubby and I were recommended to come here. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We started with calamari and the smoked fish balls and shared. Delicious. Mains were the creamiest macaroni with cheeses Iā€™ve ever had and the king prawns. Fries with truffle oil and cheese. Had the tiramisu for dessert. All matched with a lovely fruity Pino Gris. Will definitely be back.

Waited for 40 mins for average food with tiny portions. Overpriced at $110 for two people.

we had a memorial family dinner here last night, and felt compelled to share our great experience. Food was great, clams especially awesome, service spot on, definitely recommend, will be back soon.

Loved our evening here. The calamari was perfect, great meatballs! Favorite by far was the gnocchi. Great place for a date night, the atmosphere is buzzing but you can still hear each other.

Was a fan of Andiamo when it was open a while back, sadly disappointing experience when going back for the first time since today... My chai latte was basically frothy milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon. And the coconut yoghurt bowl I ordered was all of 2 spoonfuls and barely touched the sides for $16. The rest of our table's hot breakfasts came out cold. Won't be coming back any time soon.

Worst experience Iā€™ve ever had in Auckland. The food was terrible and overpriced. The waiter was incredibly rude and unprofessional. $80 bottle of red wine was served cold like it came out of the fridge.

Andiamo is damn good hun let me tell you. Came here with the family for dinner last night and had a pleasant time. We ordered the Bruschetta and Toasted Sourdough and they were fairly tasty. For a drink I got the Berry Berry Bosco mocktail and it was so fresh and super sour I loved it!! For my main I got the Spaghetti ā€˜alla chitarraā€™ (carbonara) and woah woah woah it was the best carbonara iā€™ve ever had, it was super creamy and rich and full of flavour mwah, not to mention I bloody love the spaghetti they use itā€™s sort of thick and itā€™s just perfecto. But we did have to wait a little too long for our meals considering there was only 1 other table waiting for food so kinda weird but like was worth it I guess. When we finished our meals our dirty plates stayed on the table for ages and we wanted to look at the dessert and coffee menu but none of the staff were attending us. We ended up paying and leaving and getting a coffee from somewhere else because well we didnā€™t really get the option to get it at Andiamo :(( apart from that the experience was very good and would love to come back. x

Stopped by to grab something to drink before dinner. All their tables were full so we were just at the bar. They have beer, wine and cocktails as well as bar nibbles. I had a Te Karaka Iced Tea and a bowl of the fries. There wasn't much truffle flavour in the fires. The iced tea was nice. It was a nice place for a quick drink but the menu looked interesting so would be keen to try the food here. It did look like there were more people drinking and snacking here rather than having a meal, especially in the outside area.

Popped into Andiamo for some lunch with the fam one weekend. In a good location and easy to find. Ordered a berry berry bosco mocktail which I really liked as it was fresh and tangy. However I was not impressed with my meal. I ordered the ' spaghetti alla chittara' which is a carbonara and the sauce was so salty it was unbearable. The pasta however was really good as I think they make it there, it was thick and really tasty. We ordered a pizza to share aswell which took so long to come out we were all done with our meals and were waiting, once it came out we didn't want it anymore and had to get it takeaway. Want to go back and try a different pasta maybe but keen to give it another try.

It was an institution, then it morphed orange briefly and now it is an institution again. Andiamo is back! The muted green colour and sensational service is pleasing everyone. Our sharing plates couldn't be faulted and we commend the new owners on the successful transformation! So now we have a casual beer place on one side of the road and this stylish hangout for those wanting something more and who like to see and be seen... The great thing about walking in here as a local is that you will always recognise someone so a great time is always to be had....! šŸ»šŸ»šŸ»

We came here for breakfast ... lovely service we chose to sit inside.
Not a big menu selection but does have everything you need for breakfast.
We just shared (as planning to eat all day) and got the eggs (scrambled) on toasted focaccia -yum- with sausage and bacon and avocado... the sausage was nice as from Westmere Butchery and the bacon was thick and just delicious. Nice freshly squeezed orange juice too.
