This Nepalese/Indian family-run restaurant is a real gem. We ordered two mango lassi, plain and garlic naans, lamb rogan josh and chicken sagwala which came with rice. The portions were abundant and the dishes were so tasty we were obliged to take the leftovers away. The staff and owner were very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Best Indian restaurant at Highbrook. The curries are just amazing. Have tried many dishes here and never regretted. They have lunch combos which is totally worth the money. Highly recommend this restaurant for team lunch's. Also, you can phone order them in case you want them to prepare your food prior to your arrival at the restaurant. (to save time). Great curries! Although we didn't get any liquor here, the service and the food was great! The curries were delicious and the freshly made naan was really really good. Definitely a great local sport to grab a bite! Nice seating for hanging our with friends or catching up.

This place used to be our go to for Indian food. Unfortunately it is not very good now.Even terrible. I had a Lamb Vindalo hot. It didn't just have no spice hot but the food was cold . Cheese garlic naans from packetsnd done in a microwave. Just awful

UBER EATS ORDER: Everything tasted good Butter chicken med had good flavors with correct heat, naan was yum, tikka was ok butttt the Mango lassi drink was a huge let down as this was the only thing I was looking forward to it tasted like off yogurt & upon close inspection u could clearly see the small curdled yogurt chunks throughout. Disappointed this was a deserved 5stars but the drink wasn’t up to par maybe next time ae.

Grabbed some takeaway lunch for $11.99 and it was good!! The service was nice and friendly. The place was clean. The food came out really quickly and taste pretty good. Will definitely go back again.

Have been to this place a few times now because there are not many Indian places around Highbrook. The food quality is average but pricing is good with lunch specials. My friend ordered a hot curry and got served with one that was red and so spicy he could not eat it. I ordered a naan and chicken curry. Food was heavy in oil and cream so not an ideal place if you are mindful about your wasitline. The naan was super delicious though. The ambience is good and waiters are friendly.

Our local Indian restraint with one of the best lunch deals around in Highbrook. $11 you get your choice of curry on rice + naan. Great ambiance as well, clean and open and an awesome casual setting. My team and I are regulars to this spot because of how awesome the quality is. The curries are thick and creamy. Full of flavor and the chicken which we always get in terms of meat choice are grilled before being coated with curry. I always leave satisfied and the owner is a great host in terms of explaining what they have on offer, the specials and ‘authenticity in terms of spice’. Showstopper: Lunch time combo. Overall Grade: A-

We work locally & this is our go to curry place. It's pretty good. Glad they got rid of the salads they use to give with every meal lol. Friendly stuff also. Be better if you offered delivery from lunch time onwards & put your lunch menu on menulog.

Enjoyed the food here, I would say it was average not something that would make me come back specifically. At the time we were the only people eating in and it felt like the waiter was just listening to our conversation. We would probably take away in the future if we visited again.

I am very critical about food I takeaway. So tried this for first time and Food Quality, Quantity, Service-All 5 STARS. Ordered chicken handi-Order was per instruction to make it medium. They don't use stale chicken-its fresh. No ARTIFICIAL COLORS added which is gr8. They do charge premium but the food is upto tht standard. Will try Butter Chicken next time. Recommend to good food lovers. And yes feedback for owners-Please keep your chef happy and people will find you no matter what your location is... and if you continue with this food standard you will soon have orders pouring... Impressed!!! See you again.

We are regular customer but recently we had such a bad experience. We bought Lamb Masala the regular thing that we purchase but it tasted awful.....Lamb was not cooked properly......after advising the owner, he only defended it instead of looking into it......we won't think of ordering again.

Authentic, high quality Asian food with a subtle touch of soul. I travel to East Tamaki each week on business and I occasionally stop-off at Namaste. I rarely give reviews but this warm and welcoming restaurant is served by a friendly team and they take great care and pride in every dish they present - and is worth a mention. One year in and I'm slowly working my way through the menu. You won't be disappointed. Recommend the Black Pepper Chicken Curry.

Stayed in Quest on a Saturday night with few options available so gave Namaste a try. Absolutely stunning and cannot recommend highly enough. Lovely service, attentive and nice manner. Had Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Handi and child had Butter Chicken. Also had roti, poppadoms and pickle, all had beautiful tender meat and flavoursome sauce with real veggies, not what we have been used to after ten years here without a really great curry. Great choice.

I went with a group of 9 on a Friday lunch hour. We booked on Wednesday and asked to pre-order which was fine. Friday 12:30 came around and the place was packed, they didn't reserve enough seats for our group even though we told them in advance, they ended up asking the table of people to move so they could accommodate our group. The whole situation was handled poorly, however the food was great (even though they came out one plate at a time) and the price was great too.

I have been enjoying the food here for over a year now and never had better food any where else. Always great service! As well as nice conversation from the staff if it's not on the weekend and super busy anyway. I've tried about 40% of the menu so far as i find it hard to pass on the butter chicken spicy. Yum. Hard to find curry this great at this price. Go in at lunch and get a even better lunch deal. The Tikka masala is also choice, i love the capsicum in this dish always fresh ingredients and you can taste the care that goes into every dish. So stop reading this and go there now you won't be disappointed.

I started a 'Curry Friday' with a workmate and it's good that there's Namaste about 5 minutes drive away from the office. We normally do takeaway but the restaurant is lively and buzzing we agreed we should dine in (it's Friday anyway). Service is relatively quick considering how busy the restaurant is. I ordered chicken tikka masala and we went for 'hot' this time. Curry is good but it doesn't seem to be 'hot' but rather 'medium'. It doesn't really matter as we still enjoyed the food.

Dined here one sat night a few weeks back, we were the only ones in the place and it had me worried we were about to be disappointed. I've had lunch here numerous times and it has been good value for money Started with the Gujarati Thali platter which was wonderful followed by the Samala & Melu Kofta. All very nice. The food was very good although the service was very slow for a party of three. I enjoyed our dining experience and I complimented the staff on how good the meal was. I boasted that I would blog on Zomato about our dining experience. I thought I was doing him a favour. What I didn't like was his badgering me to log on and write a favorable review for him write then and there before we left. I hate pushy sales people and he come so close to getting a "Tikka nose bleed"

Just been to this place. It took more than 30 minutes for our order to come. We inquired twice and was told order is just on the way. Moreover one dish was so rush through that red chilly powder could been seen floating on top. There menu say Namaste uses 100% Halal meat, when I asked for the certificate I was told the certificate is in the other branch-what a Bullshit!!! Same reason was given to me last year... My advice any person having Halal requirement should not eat meat dishes, and go only when you have nothing better to do...

Tried Namaste Express today. Highbrook Branch. Being Saturday they had Gujarati Thali option for Lunch ($16.50) along with the usual 10.99 (curry+nan+rice+papad) offer. Surprised see that Shahi Paneer was part of Gujarati Thali. Probably a Delhi based Gujju :). So ordered veg. Jalfreize....looks and tastes good. Worth coming again. Very polite service. Give a try. Realised at payment counter changing Naan to Butter Naan is additional $2.00. Was politely pointed to the prinouts which clearly mentioned the $10.99 offer was with plain Naan. (The difference between plain and butter Naan on menu though is not $2 neither is the portion served a full one...but I guess I should have read more carefully before changing. Doesnt change my opinion about food and service though)

What an awful experience... Went with 5 other people for lunch we all ordered butter chicken all at the same time, everybody else got their food on time but mine took an extra 15mins to come out even though it was the same thing. Very disappointing and we never received our side salads. I had to take my food away as we were due back at work when I finally got to eat it, it was spicy and I had asked for mild! The naan was covered in corriander which I cannot stand. Will not be going back there EVER, worst dining experience I have ever had!!!!

My team and I at OfficeMax highly recommend Namaste at the new branch in Highbrook. We have become regulars for their wonderful lunchtime special which is not only great value for money but is extremely tasty and comes with a curry, rice and naan bread. Their menu is varied and interesting and they will make it as mild or as hot as you can handle. Ingredients are fresh, the ambience is great and the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Make sure that you book on a Friday for the lunchtime session though, it is so popular you may not get a table.

Just opened. A little bit hidden around the corner of the new development in Highbrook but what a find! FANTASTIC - great value for money; the lemon chicken was divine with great flavour. The complimentary salad was totally unexpected and gave the meal that healthy kick (well, it makes you feel better anyway). Will definitely be returning - this is the best Indian I have tasted for ages.
