Review Lord Of The Fries - Auckland Central

I tried Lord of the Fries for the first time around 3 months ago. Late review!!! I was actually surprised that it was a vegan and plant based food outlet. Actually that day coincidentally I was looking for something vegetarian or vegan to eat and surprisingly found this. I tried the Chick’n burger as a takeaway and it was nice. Didn’t try anything else from there so cannot comment on other items.

One of the best vegan burgers I've ever eaten ! Every day a different promo ! Is a must if you are vegan

This is our favorite vegan carry out in Auckland! They have a large variety of options on their menu including burgers, hot dogs, tacos, corn dogs, breakfast sandwiches and hash browns, vegan ice cream and shakes, vegan chicken and fish, and, of course, four options for fries (including sweet potato fries) and their multiple famous sauces. There are 3 sizes available for fries, too, depending on how hungry you are. We loved our shoestring fries with the French Canadian sauce! It was like a vegan poutine! I had a Chicago hot dog, that was very delicious, and my wife had the vegan fish sandwich, which was crispy and tasty. The service was prompt and friendly. Everything is made to order, so we had to wait about 10 minutes for our meal, but it was worth it since everything was hot and delicious! They have very reasonable prices, too. They have a few outdoor seats on the sidewalk, but plenty of covered indoor seating in the adjacent Snickel Lane food court area. Just be sure not to miss a great vegan meal at this place when you are in downtown Auckland!

Excellent, love that the food is all vegetarian. Staff had quick and friendly service. Had both a hotdog and a Burger. They were cooked and seasoned very well. Place was super busy however there is lots of seating if you do intend to have a sit down meal. Presentation slightly lacking but the taste made up for it. Would definitely go again.

This is a good vegan restaurant. It has a diverse menu with many unusual items. We also had a meal delivered. The delivery was quick and efficient.

I'm torn between one of those ratings where it was as decent as expected, but not one that made me fully satisfied. I liked the menu look of the chicken nuggets and mainly wanted fries, however for the classic fries I was hoping for ones that still tasted a little more natural (in texture and in look). More so I was disappointed to find out that BBQ sauce costs $1.50. There's also not even a stool inside to sit so you have to wait around for your order and go find a bench down the street if you want to eat right away.

Yes its vegan! Yes its fast food. Yes its delicious. The customer service is great. The food is often great too. My only problem with Lord of the Fries are the prices, they are quite expensive. I do enjoy the mini burgers though and I think that's a good option. However, the fries are not the best in town. For an establishment called Lord of the Fries, you would expect amazing fries. The portions for fries are large so that's nice, a kid size is probably sufficient for one serving. LOTFNZ could improve by reducing the total price of a product if youre out of stock of something. I think it'd be a great addition and I don't see why customers should have to pay full price if they're not getting the full product. The best items at LOTF that I would recommend are; the milk shakes (they are amazing) and the double chocolate cookies (these are also amazing). My favourite burger is the mini phish burger, and my favourite muffin the bacon and egg muffin. I think Lord of the Fries is a good fast food place for hungry vegans that are craving junk food, or carnists that want to try meat alternatives. 💜

Fantastic good for vegan. I am a meat lover and I can say this satisfied my meat feeling. The flavours are great. Got the hotdog and chickn loaded fries...

Stoked to discover another location! The same great fries & burgers as other lord of the fries locations. As always, excellent vegan food and fast service. Always a fan of the classic or chunky fries here. Burgers are out of this world. Open for business during covid alert level 3 to my delight.

An amazing vegan restaurant. Great options at fairly affordable prices for the quality. Not a lot of seating as it shares seats with a lot of neighbouring restaurants in Snickel Lane, but there's usually a table or two free

Great food at really reasonable prices. The double choc chunk cookie was rather lacking in choc chunks, but it was still tasty. Staff are always friendly. Limited seating during busy periods which is unfortunate for those who want to stay. Huge range of vegan choices.

Everything I tried was amazing. From the chicken parm to the tijuana hotdog to the chips and a special appearance by moustache double choc cookie. So good. Worth visiting if you're in the area. Perfect snack food and was ready so quickly. So much choice. Good value for money.

So nice to go somewhere and the entire menu is vegan friendly. Food was really good and non greasy. Good portion sizes and friendly staff as well. Favourite was the sweet potato fries! Eat out front or inside Snickel Lane.

Most amazing vegan food ever!!!! Delicious vegan alternative to traditional fast food. Staff were friendly and well mannered. If I lived in Auckland I would be here every day. 10/10.

I was really looking forward to try Lord of the Fries. However, I was really disappointed with the texture of the classic burger's patty. It was so soft, soggy and mushy. The staff were nice though and the fries were good. I might go back and try their kumara chips but not sure about their other burgers.

I tried the 📝 Original Burger (mini - $6.50) 🍔, Shoestring Fried (regular- $6) 🍟 and Peanut Butter Choc Bliss Ice Cream Shakes ($8)🥤... I could’ve saved and ordered a combo upgrade with the burger (reg fries, classic sauce and drink - $9), but I wanted to try the ice cream shakes 🤷🏻‍♀️<br/><br/>🍔 Original Burger - mini is the size of my hand and that’s pretty small... the beef patty tasted like frozen food 🤔 lettuce is pretty fresh and I like the mustard sauce 😂<br/><br/>🍟 Shoestring Fries - regular is actually quite filling, like they gave you a lot of fries! Tasted just like any other shoestring fries... and the sauces cost $1.50 - $3?!<br/><br/>🥤 Peanut Butter Choc Bliss Ice Cream Shakes - is delicious, it looks watery, but the consistency is not too thick and I like that, I love peanut butter 🥜

I ordered the shoe string fries and sweet potato fries. The shoe string were fine, slightly crisp and soft on the inside. However can't say the same about the sweet potato fries they were well undercooked no wonder it only took a few minutes. The fries itself was hot but so soggy 😫

The chicken sandwich was simple but on point. No fancy dishes or pretentious. Go there for lots of veg options.

A must when I am in the city. Expensive but 100% worth it as a treat. Best Vegan Fast Food joint hands down. Friendly staff and service is good. You can also order online which is handy.

Good menu but a bit pricey for a takeaway burger joint. Had the 'beef' burger and it was pretty good, strong seasoning but needed a bit more moisture somewhere in the burger as with the bread it became overwhelmingly bready and stodgey. Will try the 'chicken' next time.

First time I tried Lord o fries was quite a few years back in Melbourne and loved it. <br/><br/>Got the regular kumera fries for take away today and was totally disappointed. It's soggy and portion just feel a bit small for $7.50 + $1.50 Aioli dip.<br/><br/>Good variety of vegetarian burgers but again it was a bit average. <br/><br/>I really want Lord of fries to do well, but what I had was just disappointing.

I was super satisfied about the meal I had here! We ordered the new premium original burgers with Beyond Meat, different types of fries, an Oreo shake and double chocolate cookie. I’ve been wanting to try the Beyond Meat plant based patties for some time and I was not disappointed! Their burger, I felt like I was eating a traditional cheeseburger. It’s like I was eating beef I swear, but without the guilt or cruelty! The fries were fresh, crisp and delicious. The vegan cookie, nice and moist. The shake wasn’t too thick or sweet and went down a treat. I will definitely be coming back here one day!

Great quality vegan food, good music. Gives you the opportunity to sit in fort lane which is fun at all times of the day! Amazing chips! Large is the best deal for your money and you could definitely share it with others.

Ok. So I was very late to know that EVERYTHING on the menu of the lord of the fries is vegan. Late enough to go and ask the very friendly man behind the counter “heyyy so what’s vegan around here” to which he replied uh. Everything! <br/>But that’s besides the point. Everything they have on the menu tastes like actual meat so you don’t have fomo at all. They do mini burgers too which is awesome if you have a small appetite like mine. Good price point too!

Always love supporting places with a message for reduced meat consumption. I dont often order the burgers from here, however because i find i can make better ones myself (or grab a salad burger from bk). i LOVE the nuggets and have a new found love for the hashbrown and sausage patty, could not recommend enough. the chicken and waffles here are probably one of my least favourite foods ever but having never tried a real one when i ate meat i dont know if its just not my taste. The service at this branch is relatively fast (im always at off peak times) but the staff arent the friendliest

SO. YUMMY. <br/>How is that place entirely vegan?! I got the sweet potatoes with the aioli and chick’n nuggets! Oh my sweet heavenly lord it was BEYOND beautiful!

Not worth the price “sensational chicken” on Hobson street is better. Fries are undercooked. Chicken over cook can hardly bite into it. Rather eat kfc then this piece of garbage

Not a Vegan person myself but the food was Great. I had the Spicy Burger and the Onions rings and Fries side and they were also good. Will definitely try a few different burgers next time :)<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but recently have started to try and cut down on amount of meat in my diet and become more sustainably aware. So I was eager to try this place out. I wasn't disappointed but then I wasn't impressed. I got the poutine burger and fries. The fries are really good, the veg beef patty was ok but the fake ham was not good. If that was real ham it would be thrown out for tasting like it had "gone off". I will definitely come back to try other veg burgers, and it has at least inspired me to try and create a simple tasty veg burger I can make at home. Price point is ok although the "big" is a bit misleading. Service was good and snickel lane is a cool little eating place.

Such an amazing concept and the food is SO DELICIOUS!!! Best place to eat for vegetarians and vegans! Love love love! Great service as well, definetly our go to place every weekend

2 sizes for their burgers- mini & big. Big=medium @other burger chains, I reckon. Pictured is the big phish burger. Average tasting- I think it Could do with more sauce. On another occasion, I've tried the Parma burger. Defs a treat. Very tasty, the "bacon" really did taste like smoked bacon & the sauces complimented it well. Big portion of fries. Shared dining space in Snickel Lane.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but Lord of the Fries does some seriously good food!, the texture of their "chicken" is very similar to real chicken, although the flavour is slightly different (but thats okay). Their fries are hot, crunch and yummy and if you're a VIP with them you get a free classic sauce on the house!

I just love that there is an option for vegetarian takeaway/fast food that's more than just chips (although the chips are good too). (It's vegan though but it's so yum either way)<br/>There are so many yum options for people to try. I've tried various things off the menu - and I've not been disappointed yet. The burgers are so good and the hot dogs are good too.<br/>I love that this is so close to my work for my lazy dinners - although might be my undoing.<br/>

Average burger. Not much to it, I got the chicken one and it tasted more closer to tuna or maybe it was a really minced chicken. Either way,I couldn't tell it was chicken... they have really good fries and dip though! But it's sad how you have to pay extra for sauce that should already come with fries

Considering it is a new branch, I’d say it’s doing reasonably well. The burgers are always bomb, so are the fries and chicken nuggets. My all-time favourites are the Phish and Chick’n burgers. Tried the breakfast patty+egg and it was actually awful- strangely bitter? The regular “beef” patties are also pretty grim. I would 100% recommend everything else though!!
