I ordered countless times of their Box of Petite Four for friends and families. They taste exquisite and look so cute. Also perfect for birthday if you are only keen on blowing one candle and have a bit of everything. Chocolate twist is my daughter’s most requested item. My personal favourite are eclair and tuille. Everything is very well priced, a gem in Birkenhead village and a must try. Lots of things sell out very fast and they close early, so I found ordering online is the best way to make sure we don’t miss out :P

World famous but locally in Birkenhead. Special and unique food, good coffees. Very popular and has good range of selection to please everyone in the family. You get what you pay for and it's worth every penny of it. Plenty free parking in Highbury. During busy hours, it can get very cramp and squashy inside. I had a customer who literally walked into me as he was making space for another customer to get through. Nonetheless, definitely worth a try and highly recommended.

I ordered the high tea boxes for an afternoon tea - they were fantastic! All of the cakes were delicious, the sandwiches and scones were fresh, I can’t recommend this place enough!! Now I need to sample some of the other pastry delights I saw instore. Thank you Chris!

Very nice little patisserie. Their pastries are top notch. Very beautifully made yet not too sweet. Perfectly balanced, light texture and sweetness. Went in at the end of the day and the lady offered us free rolls. It’s not because of the freebies, but you can tell they value their customers. These little gestures go a long way and would definitely return for more yummy treats.

We are from out of town and were recommended this bakery from a local on a visit up. The baked goods here are so good and reasonably priced, we now make a bulk order and take it back for the freezer to enjoy over time. Of special note are their pretzels, cheese sticks and fitness loaf. Their customer service is also excellent- we were unable to collect our order over the state of emergency with Cyclone Gabrielle and they offered 50% off our next order. Thanks OTT :)

I recently discovered this bakery and now I’m addicted! They do delicious bread. Probably the best baguettes I’ve had in Auckland city. I love the fact they serve freshly baked bread and don’t hold second day stock 👏🏽👏🏽 The tarts and chicken pie is amazing too!

Must try the almond tuiles, they are thicker than usual which gives it abit more texture while biting into it. Not too sweet and very crispy. YUM!

As a European and a rather passionate cake and pastry lover, I am so happy to have a such high quality and authentic European patisserie in the area. Everything I have tried from here has been outstanding over the last couple years (cakes and pastries only as I never stop to sit down) and I look forward to one day saying I have sampled the entire cabinet! :D For now, I can highly recommend the rum balls (especially the latest iteration with the bits of biscuit in them, so good!!!), the lemon meringue (if only they were bigger so I wouldn’t need to get myltiples, I could eat that lemon curd and perfect meringue every day), Mille feuille, strudel and chocolate layer cakes (nothing like the sad bland New Zealand sponge cakes!). Enjoy!

Such Amazing goodies on display in the cabinet was really difficult to choose. Lots of European small cakes and fancies all made on the premises. Coffee was excellent and service very friendly. Really enjoyed the fruit tart.

I like this little place, I'm keen to try the bread and other baked goodies. Today I had a pie which was really good a lot of meat and no gravey just some natural juices from the meat and veges. The only down fall which is a big problem really is that they sit the pies in a tinfoil cup and the pastry goes all soggy! !!! But hey its a good pie brought with real local ingredients from the butchers just a couple of shops up the road!!!! Awesome to see the locals banding together to make great food. The service is friendly as well. I will be back!

Very good coffee, and nice English breakfast tea, the pork sausage rolls were really good, using Highbury butchers sausages. Will be going back again to try other fantastic looking desserts and pastries.

Outstanding German baking, light and delicate biscuits and cakes. They do lovely flavoured breadsticks and breads. Watch out for their special cakes and biscuits for Christmas, highly recommended

neat little place filled with delicious well thought out delights. The vegetarian bun with eggplant and sun dried tomato is such a treat and so are the cakes- tried quite a few which have never disappointed. If one loves chocolate, the trufflw cake would be a must try.

Love love love this little cafe. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the food mhh...their sweet pastries and cakes are scrumptuous and their their vegetarian rolls are always a delight with fresh ingredients. If you're out shopping in birkenhead stop by and grab a coffee or tea with one of their delightful cakes. You won't regret it :)

Hidden gem in Birkenhead! Beautiful fresh pastries that are well prices! Plenty of cabinet sweet cakes and desserts. I love how they sell small takeway brownies and treats. They have Kokako coffee which is my favourite coffee, smooth and tasty highly recommend

This place has fantastic treats and very well priced. Also love the festive treats they do in small packages at Xmas time. Make good pressies. Only downside is hard to get a seat if you want to stay.

These guys make divine baking products and desserts/cakes. The place is set up with a few cute little tables, so rather than just being a bakery, it also serves as a cafe, which is nice if you want to enjoy a coffee with the delicious cake on site.

I absolutely love Ott. Despite its minimalist decor, Ott offers the best in German patisserie; everything is bigger, tastier and less mainstream. Their apple strudel is the best; sized bigger than my own palm of hands, it's really crumbly, soft, chewy yet not too sweet and so well balanced. They do really good croissants too. I was shocked on my very first visit; I bought 4 pastry items for less than $12 and they're all really tasty, big and filling. Definitely a must when you visit Birkenhead; I live in the city and I find time to go when the craving strikes. Fun fact, the owner is an ex pastry chef de partie at The Langham Auckland--another proof of their quality!
