Review Cafe Massimo - Auckland Central

Avocado mesh with additional salmon~ no merit but no merit. Salmon was quite salty, but coffee was good (foamy). Staff brought up sparkling water that he should have asked beforehand as some people didnt like it.

This is a very pretty cafe. We opted to sit inside because it was a cool day and rain was in the forecast. On a summer's day, the deck would be a fantastic place, with a view of the water. So, we were 4 of us and most of us chose from the All Day Breakfast menu. I had THE Grill (eggs, sausage, bacon..the works). My nieces had the folded eggs & eggs with grilled mushrooms. My sister chose to have a Waygu Beef burger. We enjoyed the food a lot. The Grill ended up being enormous. I could only manage to eat a small portion and had to doggie bag the leftovers. Definitely a hearty dish for a guy! Would recommend this cafe...good service: very friendly and efficient, great ambience and good food.

🅿️ There are numerous roadside parking lots nearby, but on holidays, they tend to get crowded, making it a bit challenging to find a parking spot! At the entrance, we noticed many customers and thought we would have to wait a long time for a table. However, it turned out that most of them were ordering for takeout, and the staff warmly greeted us and guided us to a seat for dining in! Their gelato is also highly renowned! 🍽️ We ordered the Beef Croissant, Potato Benedict with salmon, Long Black, and Mocha. The Potato Benedict with salmon was the most astonishing dish. It seemed to be pan-fried and then baked, resulting in a crispy exterior and a satisfying texture. Combined with the salmon, it was so delicious that it felt almost heavenly! Next to the restaurant is Takapuna Beach. After satisfying our appetites, we went for a stroll there, basking in the sunlight, enjoying the sandy beach, and admiring the picturesque ocean view. It was incredibly relaxing!

I feel there must have been a change in ownership if I read some of the bad reviews here. My experience was ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!! I'd give 10 Stars if I could. STAFF: Super friendly and professional. Amazing customer service - honestly. My glass of water was always filled up, no matter how busy it was! Very DOGFRIENDLY! You can bring your best mate - so cool! FOOD: The avocado toast was only 14$ not 35$like someone else here wrote. We got the Rosti Benedict with Salmon, and it was 100% delicious - great hash brown, fresh and grilled salmon, perfectly poached eggs and yum hollandaise (28$). Yes, the juices (10$) and ice cafe were a little bit more expensive than elsewhere but FRESH and made up perfectly, especially the iced coffee served in separate glasses (milk, coffee, ice cream etc) looked soooo fancy and was strong and delicious! So come one - you're RIGHT next to the beach and park and got an amazing view! It's so worth it, and we'll be back for sure. Just be aware: Parking is restricted & expensive, and this place is super busy - because it is so good :)

What a gorgeous spot to have a coffee & soak up the gorgeous beach views at the same time. Insanely busy spot for a week day but impeccable service all the same with sparkling water and the morning paper to boot! Pet friendly if you’re going for a walk & although I didn’t eat off the menu it looked amazing!!

Stayed at the campsite next to this cafe and popped in for a coffee and something to eat. The food was so good we ended up having dinner there. The oysters were the freshest, tastiest oysters I can remember having. The staff were great, and the view was impeccable. We came back through after heading north and stayed at the same accommodation in part to be able to be close to this cafe. Highly Recommend!!

Great indoor outdoor flow Impeccable service Wheelchair accessible with ramp however is quite challenging to navigate between the tables if notice was given to the Cafe I’m sure they would be more than happy to reconfigure for accessibility requirements Outdoor seating has warm heaters food arrives fast staff are very attentive For large groups bookings are recommended

A popular cafe, went in for early brunch on Saturday and waited no more than 10mins to get a table. We like it outside as we can get some fresh beach air and it can get a bit crowded inside. It's always a delight talking with the staff, orders are accurate and coffee is served quickly. I was craving something sweet and was recommended the filo. It was just what I wanted!

A great location, really nice indoor/outdoor setup. Always very busy, but also rarely a wait. The oat flat white is perfection, great food ( and consistently great ), awesome service. Our go-to on the north shore.

Run, don’t walk, and order the Filo from the latest brunch menu. It was the tastiest, richest, most sensational brunch I’ve ever had, and an excellent addition to the menu. Thank you for making my day! The sun shone, the view was gorgeous, and the coffee as always was perfect. Always feel like I’m over at a friends house when I come here because of how welcome you make your guests feel!. See you next time!

Lovely place for breakfast or brunch, close to the beach with warm and welcoming ambience. Eggs benedict was exceptional, well presented and delicious. Would definitely visit again!

Been here a couple of times for work lunch. Food is pretty average. Good service and nice spot in summer. So many cafe in Takapuna, this one is an average choice.
Lina K
Takapuna is a very busy place on a Sunday morning. It was hard to find a park. All of the cafes seemed to be busy. Massimo had some tables and the place is pleasant. We sat semi outside. It took a while to attract the attention of the wait staff to take our order but once taken the food and coffee came out in a timely manner. I had the creamy mushrooms and my friend had the Caesar salad. Good honest food. No complaints. It’s a relaxed friendly place. I’d go back.

Went for lunch on Sunday. We had Teriyaki Salmon on rhe menu and Chicken Liver special on the day.
Salmon is a good portion for lunch with rice, however the rice is a bit hard but my friend is ok with it; the Chicken Liver is nice with creamy sause, also cook with sliced pork sausage which made with pork belly meat (not minced) ... it taste different from normal sausage. ... my personal feeling it's like the chinese preserved dry pork and it taste good.
Reanin Hello
Beautiful location, pretty good service, decent coffee but the cabinet food is horrendous. Banana loaf was dry and stale, chicken wrap was soggy and full of old tomato and lettuce, scones are like rocks. Its a shame because the ordered food looks fresh and lovely. Definitely would pass them up for a quick lunch stop in favor of Zomer or Coffee Club which are both next door.

Came for lunch on a sunny day- was impressed with the size of portions and that the prices are not too high. You won’t find an outstanding dishes there I don’t think but if you are after a decent bite it’s a good place to visit. We had a chicken Caesar salad, vanilla waffles with a fresh fruit salad, and a savoury muffin. Good service-attentive and helpful and different seating areas to choose from. Overall, satisfied:)

Sat outside, nice decor and atmosphere. The smashed avocado was delicious and beautifully presented but wish the portion size was a bit bigger. Service was great, friendly waitresses and loved the lemon water. Would come back again.

This place has improved a lot since the last time I came (about a year ago). The presentation is stunning and aesthetic. The food is great. However not that big of a portion.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and nice outdoor seating. A great spot to eat and get drinks on a nice day. I️ ordered the Breakfast Salad with the Kumara Rosti instead of potatoes and with cured salmon and mushrooms. It was delicious! I️ really enjoyed my dish.
Helen Gyde
Lovely service, great atmosphere and great coffee. Prices are good and so is the selection, the food however lets it down. Both my friend and I didn’t enjoy our meals. I have never had a good meal here in fact and only went at a friends suggestion as it had been so long. Would definitely go back for the service and coffee/ drinks however.
MrGodHimself
My second visit here was much like the first, underwhelming. It's a nice location with a lot of space and the service was pretty good. The most important part however... the food... was well below par.

The grilled chicken had an absurdly small amount of chicken - about 4 mouthfuls - and what was there was very overcooked, dry and bland.

I will not be coming back. Prices are too high considering the food is at a really low standard. Takapuna has many other better options.
Angela (A Style Collector)
I've been here multiple times for brunch and it's a nice place. There are lots of tables and the outdoor area is great on a sunny day. The food is good but a bit on the pricey side. The service has always been good too.
Sam Page
Service and location are good, food is decidedly below average for the price. I had a falafel burger, soggy and flavorless with badly cooked chips. My partner had the fish and chips which was the same bad chips and what must have been a frozen fish fillet. Definitely would not recommend for food.

Went here today for a "freshly" squeezed juice what came, however did not appear to be fresh or squeezed a bit disappointing for $8.50........
Mel
Went here today for breakfast and found it very average. Waiting staff were good and we were served promptly but the good looked better than it was. My smashed avocado tasted odd. The poached egg on top was underdone. The big breakfast also had underdone poached eggs with lots of very watery egg white while the rest of it like bacon and hash brown were over, probably precooked. Overall underwhelming and would not return when there are so many other options nearby. The kids waffle looked ok although I didn't try it
Cookingkenny
Really good service from the entry, very happy with the ability to check for gluten free options. Well done to the staff.

My snapper was just short of spectacular, my ladies fish and chips were average only (but I think it's easier to make fish and chips bad than make them wonderful).

The coffee was nice but a bit weak and the staff didn't quite get the specifics right on request for very abnormal coffee.

Price was on the higher side of reasonable but we will probably be back next time we're over here
Had an Eggs Benedict - $18.50. It was half ciabata (top cut off),cut in half - so pieces of toasted bread, with 2 poached eggs. Each piece of bread had 1 piece of streaky bacon. Came with hollandaise & what looked like balsamic glaze. It looked nice when it arrived, but soon realised that it tasted pretty bland. There was not enough bacon at all - I felt overcharged. My girlfriend also ordered eggs benedict - the eggs were undercooked - lots of raw egg white. A very average eggs benedict. Don't think we will come here again.
Lom
The salad (rocket ) is not fresh, and the salmon is too oily... I am not happy with the first try. It is a little bit disappointed. Whatever, the customer is good, and the environment is enjoyable. I think I will not come the second times again.

I used to live on the North Shore & Massimo was one of my regulars because of it's consistently good coffee, food & service. I stopped in for a late breakfast today after a 20 month absence - I guess there's been a changing of the guard, as all the above goodness seems to have evaporated. I ordered a latte & eggs benedict with mushrooms. The staff seemed to be somewhat indirect & uncoordinated when serving me at the counter. When my latte arrived in a glass, it was to hot to hold &, by extension, too hot to drink - something I confirmed by nearly scalding my mouth. When I took it back, the barista seemed a little perplexed. A second arrived in due course that was fine temperature wise, however now that I could taste the coffee, it was rather bland. The Eggs Benedict arrived - 2 eggs, field mushrooms, wilted spinach & hollandaise sauce on a Kumara base, with 2 baby broccoli as accompaniment. The kumara base was dry and both the baby broccoli had been burned on one side. I called who I assumed was the Maître D' & showed him - he took the offending vegetables away with an unconvincing air of avoidance - no offer to re-supply the meal, no apology, no communication at all.
I have no idea what has happened over the last 20 months, but whoever is running this place now really isn't paying attention. I won't be returning, by myself or with friends, and definitely won't be making any recommendations. One to avoid until they clean up their act

I ordered the Acai Bowl for $12.90 was below average. To my disappointment I thought that I had gone to Mamossa Cafe which I had heard raving reviews about especially their Acai bowls.
Jessica
Love this place once they changed their menu to be more healthier. Cabinet food looks just as good as the menu options. Service was good, I would defiantly recommend coming here for lunch if you want something to eat that is guilt free but super tasty.

Absolutely shocking to find out their random business hours. One afternoon all my workmates wanted to have happy hours there. At 3 pm they were already closed! The staff advised that they had no chef. On another afternoon they said they couldn't serve alcohol. Don't bother going there again!
Greg Brown
Top score for taste. Both the coconut chicken and Moroccan lamb was absolutely delicious. The added bonus is an awesome atmosphere that gains live bands etc in summer. The only downside, the portion size is rather small.
Eden Wood
Lovely indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Good heating which is super important for those brisk early mornings. I was super impressed with the menu! Good to see some interesting flavours and different takes on all the classics. I ordered the vegetable Rosti with salmon, avocado and poached egg and my partner ordered the matcha waffles with green tea and almond. The matcha waffles were sensational! I had major food envy. My meal was good but the avocado was overpowering and the overall portion size was quite small for the price. Enjoyed the green smoothie though! Would definitely be back for the waffles and smoothie 👍

I was here a couple of weeks ago for lunch with a friend and was really impressed. They had a new menu starting that day, so there's always a risk when ordering something that's new. I wasn't disappointed! It was lovely, a good size (even though it seemed small), they were happy to accommodate my gluten-free requirements and the service was above average. They were fairly busy, but we placed our ordering relatively quickly, the drinks came quickly, then they came with the meals and they also came back to check everything was okay, but it was quite a while before our table was cleared/we were asked if we wanted anything else. I'll definitely be back!

Here was so nice place, that was quiet, and clean. We could eat without waiting for long time. But one of the staff was a bit unfriendly actually. But I like here.

Massimo is our favourite Takapuna restaurant. Today we had an early dinner choosing a mixture of small and larger plates from the menu. First time that we have had a meal there, other than brunch or afternoon tea and we were so blown away. Its been a while since I have gone to the kitchen to compliment the chefs but on this occasion it was warranted. The food was simple but very delicious, and different enough to make our choices intriguing. Each of our dishes melted in our mouths and we couldn't help but share each others meals. We were pleased on every count. Well priced for great food and atmosphere. Wonderful to have the outdoor seating, but with protection from the elements, and excellent waiting staff. Thank you for a very pleasurable visit all round.

This was a real shame. We came here for lunch with our children - 9 of us.
We ordered 4 children's meals as well as 3 mains all of which were over $22 a plate for lunch. Considering the quantity and quality of the food, this was a very cheeky price point.

I ordered the coconut Chicken which consisted of 3 pieces of chicken squashed on to a bed of brown, old ice berg lettuce, a dollop of hummus, 1 piece of soggy halloumi and a few pomegranate seeds for decor. It was an absolute insult, I couldn't eat it.

My friend ordered the prawn and chicken salad of which half the ingredients were forgotten in the salad and her lettuce was the same as mine, old and brown and soggy and all up, the size of what a 2 year old child would eat, tiny.

We sent everything back, including my other friend's paleo breakfast complete with bruised, brown avocado and over cooked, wrinkled potatoes which I didn't think were 'paleo' .

This was a real shame as we have had many great meals in the past at this place. It was not a good experience and we will never return.

Massimo Takapuna is a great place to just relax and enjoy the vide variety of foods they have to offer. Ali is a fantastic owner/ operator and always treats customers like his own. Would recommend.

I have been coming here a few times a year for the past five or more years and have always enjoyed the delicious food, but today I was disappointed with the salads ordered by my partner and I for my birthday lunch. The croutons on the Ceasar salad and noodles on the Prawn and Chicken salad were stale.
The staff were friendly and pleasant but felt they could have offered us something to redeem themselves. You will need to step up as there is so much competition in Takapuna.

Great place for a nice light atmosphere with great food especially if you just want appetisers. This place is best visited in summer as they have a great outdoor set up.

Great staff and nice open and calm environment, good snack menu too to accompany a late afternoon/ early evening drink. They do good breakfast food and I particularly enjoyed their eggs benedict #g1
Lily
The staff are really friendly. The place is close to the beach, and is really nice. I went there to have a margarita. I didn't like it much. So I almost had just a sip.

Since this is right by my work, I come here for coffee very regularly. I can always count on them for a good soy latte, although I'm not a fan of the fact they charge $1 for soy milk - seems excessive to me. I can't comment on the menu, as although I've had coffee and drinks here countless times I don't think I've ever eaten anything more than a scone or some fries. The staff are always really friendly.

Massimo has another outlet in Newmarket, which is one notch above this. Both the food and the ambience in this place were fair. Need to improve to get repeat patrons.

Went for breakfast at Massimo Takapuna today and it was lovely. Service was great and fast, food was absolutely delicious! I had the French Toast and my partner had the Bacon Hashbrowns. Only let down was the coffee was a bit burnt but other than that would defiantly go back!
Nick
Eggs on toast and a coffee. A classic breakfast done well. With grainy thick cut bread and poached eggs presented well with a small cube of butter and a cooked tomato. They put what I think is a thick shake mix into the top of their coffee, while it isn't bad I think some proper drinking chocolate would be better & taste a little less starchy.

I went here last week with a group of 10 from work for a lunch. The food was a bit hit and miss. I ordered a corm fritter stack, this turned up cold, dripping in grease, over fried and chewy.
Some of my collegue enjoyed there food, others the same as me.
The drinks too a long time to come after being ordered, I had finished my food before my coke turned up, it was ordered 5 minutes before the food arrived.
The cafe/bar is in a great location, the staff are friendly but this is let down by lazy cooking.
LucyGoosey
I had lunch with a friend here the other day and was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. After reading some reviews a while back about this place I was a bit apprehensive about coming here. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly waiter and offered to choose a seat. I ordered the calamari salad and my friend ordered the chicken nibbles and small plate of calamari. My salad was delicious. The green leaves and other salad ingredients were fresh and tasty. The calamari was under-cooked ever so slightly but not enough to make it an issue. The dressing on the salad was sweet and salty and was the perfect accompaniment to the salad. I had the fejioa and apple frappe to drink which was ice cold and very tasty. My friend and I shared the lemon tart (I honestly can not look past a lemon tart) and it was really good as well. The base was not too hard like some lemon tarts I have had recently. The lemon was perfectly tart. Not enough meringue though. After reading other reviews it may be that I got this place on a good day but based on my personal experience, I think this place is great!

Situated in Takapuna, near the beach; Massimo has been an old favourite. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant often busy.

Previously, my girlfriend and I have been to Massimo for breakfasts and brunch and found the food and coffee to be of a very good quality. I'd recommend the big breakfast, or the Paleo option, and the omelets.

We went there this weekend and ordered the Pancakes and King Prawns and Chicken salad, which were good. I found the Pancakes a bit heavy and dry, and preferred the older blueberry waffles the had on offer. Still, a filling meal.

I'd recommend Massimo to friends, followers, and followers.
Renee
I've been here a couple of times. First time, I ordered the burger & fries. It was OK. Really didn't like the gherkin/pickle taste in it. Second time I ordered the massimo big breakfast and it was pretty good! Loved the presentation and great table service. However, the food was quite cold and considering the small amount of people there at the time, you would expect it to be a bit hotter!
David Boshier
We were welcomed by friendly service and during the night they were attentive. The mains looked great, however both my small plates of Risotto Balls and Squid were under cooked. In an area full of dinning options I am not sure I will be back.
Ruben O'Connell
By far the best coffee around.
Many cafes do good coffee but this place does it all the time.
The seafood platter is great but still think the burger is the best thing on the menu.

Great food... Great staff..one of the best locations in takapuna serving freshly brewed coffee. Great place for a weekend family brunch. Wide selection of sweet nd savoury treats. @caffemassimo

Absolutely loving the new menu. Enjoyed a egg whit omelette made exactly how I wanted it with a nice green tea. Excellent service with the always smiling Ali taking care of our table.

It was the worst experience for me and my family. We arrived at Massimo at around 8pm, Wednesday 26th of March after we decided not to wait for half an hour in The Mexico Bar. The place looked empty, maybe just around 3 tables. One group of 8 were just drinking. We entered and no one received us from the front desk, then we were told to just sit anywhere. A staff approached us, didn't say anything other than a quick grunt of " Drinks", sliding the drink menu on the table. She looked very uninterested and her face was just miserable. Because of the time , we placed our order straight away, this was around 8:15pm. Again, no pleasantly from the miserable staff. Time passed and we didn't think there was an issue until we noticed there were no food being served and there's a lack of movement in the kitchen, 2 miserable staff just having a chit chat at the bar. By 9:10, I decided to approach the table and asked if there is a problem, to which this arrogant bar tender snapped at me and asked me why do I think there is a problem, I highlighted the fact that we've waited almost an hour, and he arrogantly replied, "well, there's no problem", and just looked other way. The other 2 miserable staff glared at me rudely, and so I decided to motion my family were leaving... There was no apologies nor effort to appease us, just looked at us rudely. I will never want to be subjected in such lack of manners and professionalism from that horrible place ever. I have passed on my experience to all my friends.

Mmm, not very good reviews below but anyway I'd like to thank the team on Tues 26 pm for great coffee, cake ...and conversation from the barman. I haven't had a meal there to judge, but one thing that defines the quality of an establishment is its people. After a really bad experience at another restaurant my party of 4 needed to find a place that was welcoming with good coffee and sweets and of coarse ambiance. Thanks, you saved the night!
Marcus
Just got back from Massimo Takapuna. I have been going to cafes at that location for about 15 years now. It used to be good but now it is crap!

Coffee was passable... When it arrived. Food was acceptable, but a 50 minute wait in a half empty cafe was just not acceptable. Hot waitresses could not even come close to making up for the atrocious service they grudgingly provided when they could be bothered.

I feel violated for having to pay for such abominable service and average food. One can only hope they go broke soon and a real cafe rises from the ashes. It goes without saying that I will not return. You however, should never go there in the first place!

Marcus

Went there yesterday for breakfast and didn't think much of it at all
We had French toast and venison sausages with baked beans and poached eggs. Had to ask for maple syrup for the French toast and it's very debatable the sausages were venison they looked and tasted like a kransky and and was one cut in half so sausages is a bit of a stretch the toast wasn't buttered either. Coffee was drinkable and our waitress was lovely. It's such a shame as it's a great location but I won't be back.
Olivia Farrar
I went there today, and as I can only eat fish I ordered the fish and chips as I did the the time before. Expecting the massive pieces of fish I got the first time was so surprised and mortified at what I received. For 19.50$ I got chips (which I could have got a bowl for 6.50$) some salad and the two smallest pieces of fish I have ever seen, they where the size of my finger. So really in the end I paid $13 for fish and salad. I am so disappointed and angry. Such a rip off!!
Adeline
Lovely food and place to hang out on a weekend. Our waiter was fairly new so he struggled a bit with our gluten-free questions. He bordered on impatience when our gluten intolerant friend was asking several questions. Tip: if you can't truthfully answer questions, offer to get the chef to answer them instead. But apart from that service was fair. We didn't order any coffee though so have no say on that Unfortunately (upon reading other reviews)...
Carolina De Biasio
Nice coffee, nice food, friendly staff, excellent location :)

Avoid at all costs.
As a paid reviewer of restaurants and cafes in NZ, this has now topped the list as the single most shocking venue in NZ.

The wine list is so incredibly bad, they have even produced their own. It follows their coffee blends, bitter, cheap and nasty. Niether I nor my guest could handle a small sip.

Forget paying the loans on the refurbishment.
Sell and move on! Take away the misery that infects us!

One positive, train yourself in patience and understanding that by 'experiencing (think surviving) this visually polished dump, that you can actually value somewhere decent.

It seems like they actually want to be there, true champs of the losers!
Cafe Puff
I like there service, they were friendly and nice. I visit Massimo on Saturday morning, I ordered Egg Benedict and Latte. Coffee was well made by experienced barista but it was not fresh as much as I expected. Because They had their own roaster, so they should have very fresh coffee bean but coffee was just average. If I was there without any expectation of coffee, I gave them over 3 stars out of five. However, I went there because of coffee.
Tina De Suza
I do like the new Massimo, but the old one was far better! However, the coffee here is still great, and the staff are really nice plus efficient. Their front of house manageress does an awesome job. Not sure if she is there during the week, but she seems to be there every weekend and she is so friendly and keeps everything running smoothly.

A couple of the meals I've had lately haven't been 100%, but the coffee is always awesome. They have a good selection of sweet treats in the cabinet too.

I plan to venture there one evening to try out their evening tapas menu - it sounds great. The location here is great and it's always buzzing.
Michelle Christini
Family lunch at Massimo was pleasant the service was very attentive but the food took a while coming. Great selection of children's options for 2 fidgety toddlers. They loved the boiled eggs with toast & the pancakes & fruit were a hit. Coffee hit the spot hubby had 2 & one takeaway. Great location so close to the beach for a leisurely walk after a yummy lunch.
Fiona Strange
I 100% agree with my friend Kylla, we always went to all Massimo branches and Takapuna has gone down since the new owner took over! They can't even make decent toast. Does anyone know where the old owner has gone? does he have another restaurant that I can go to? The new owner here is really up himself! Out of all the Caffe Massimo, the one in Albany is my fav.
Kylla Prasjati
I have been a regular customer of all the for years but I don't know what is happening with this Caffe Massimo, they have changed the menu about 4 times in the past 2 months it's confusing. The service use to be great but now it's very bad and their coffee does not taste that good either, I still like the other Caffe Massimo's but not Takapuna! In Albany there is a restaurant called Bolero who has the Massimo coffee beans and they make better coffee there than all the Caffe Massimos put together and their service is very good not to mention even better food. My friends and I now prefer Bolero to Massimo and we are now regulars there. I heard that Bolero is part of the Massimo chain.

This is truly a wonderful Cafe, with wonderful staff, making a place which has a special ambiance.

Renown not only for its coffee made from freshly cooked and ground coffee beans, but there is also a selection of teas from English Breakfast to Japanese Lime, along with freshly made cakes, slices and scones.

The main plus is that the food is delicious, I have never been disappointed.

The creative well thought out menu caters for all tastes, there is an all day breakfast menu which has some pleasant surprises; the lunch fare also has those usual Turkish dishes but with a creative twist.

The food always arrives nicely presented; obviously the chef takes proud in what he produces and wants to share his love of food.

Great location, with a cosy indoor and spacious outdoor area.

This Cafe has it many regulars and on Saturday morning you will see runners, bikers, paddlers and beach walkers, most it seems are well known to the jovial Manager; all enjoying their favourite cafe.
Marluxia
Dear Kathy;

You make the staff sound like trained animals, shame on you.

This place is indeed wonderful- the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful and the food selection is quaint and charming. Taking the review above into consideration, I was a tad disappointed that there were no dancing bears and poodles jumping through hoops, but you must take the bad with the good.
