Such a great vibe and awesome meeting place for friends and we love the indoor, plus outdoor option for seating. Very happy with how the manager engages with his patrons, awesome service! It's such a pity the new 3 story building next door has taken away the afternoon Sun. They do still have awesome food! Highly recommended. :-)

Went up on St Paddy's for a couple of pints and a meal with a mate and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were still friendly and efficient despite having a big rowdy crowd to deal with, and they had a live band playing proper old Irish classics. Food was excellent and priced like pub food should be - delicious simple fare done properly. First time we've seen real chips & curry sauce in NZ, about time too! The beer selection is the best for miles around!

Lovely atmosphere at this place. We often go there as a group after we have had our ukulele group play out. Sometimes we have had been offered the opportunity to play a few songs there for the patrons. Good menu and food.

The perfect local pub. Excellent food, wine and beer list is extensive for any picky drinker out there. Sports screens. And fantastic British atmosphere. Try the salt and pepper squid. They get it just right every time.

Some friends and my wife and I had dinner at your lovely pub last night (Friday 31st October). We all ordered the beef burgers, but my wife and I are on a Low Carb diet so asked if we can eliminate the buns and exchange the chips for a green salad. Well, what your chef did for us was remarkable. It was without doubt the best burger I have had in a long, long time. Just one small thing, if the salad dressing was sugar free it would have been perfect. Your staff are all extremely friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and it did not break the bank. Please convey our thanks and appreciation to your chef and all the staff. We will definitely be back. AB Electrical just had a social function at British Isles Inn - their snug room was the perfect size for our Poker/ Black Jack night. The food was delicious and the team were fantastic. Will definitely have more work functions here in the future. Ty so much Tish for your hospitality.

A group of us went for a meal and a few drinks, to watch the rugby. Luckily the game was great. I had The chicken curry with basmati rice and roti, which was a huge disappointment, the basmati rice was overcooked and tasteless, I don't think the chicken had been seasoned at all, but just cut up and added to the curry sauce, which was slightly hot but otherwise rather tastless. The roti was ordenary supermarket bought wrap bread, also the lid for the water bottle was green/black with mold. Sad, as the last time I had the chicken curry here it was really tasty. When I told one of the staff the reply was,"yeah I know" . Well, time to shape up I think.

A good old fashioned English pub. It was a cold night but super nice and toasty inside. The friendly staff looked to be enjoying the busy night as we all did. The pizza had plenty of content and did the trick. Worth checking out for sure

Had a meal with family here after reading reviews. Got to say we were not as impressed as other reviewers. Basic food and not really that British. Staff were friendly. Looks like a good local for those living in area.

Fab place to eat! Had no problems with anything and service is excellent. Avoid on Pub Quiz night unless you're quizzing as the tables are all booked up and you can't eat or have dessert. BTW the desserts are awesome! Either way you're going to get great food, great service and great atmosphere. Best local pub around I'd say. :)

Standard British Pub type menu where you get quality meals and decent sized portions. Excellent friendly staff and good vibes from other patrons. The beer is well priced at $7.50 a pint and is kept well. Interior a little dated but adds to the atmosphere. A good family pub.

Great place with friendly staff. Great food and is vegetarian friendly, the haloumi salad and vegetarian pizza are amazing! Was lovely and warm by the fire in winter and has a nice view of the beach in summer. Definitely recommended, will be going there again.

Have dined here twice with the wife and kids. I can't fault it. I had the pork ribs - falling off the bones goodness and shared with my son. The wife had the soup of the day which she enjoyed immensely. Good food! Great service.

My family and I had a delicious meal at the British Isles. We went for my father's birthday and it was a really lovely experience. Apart from the other patrons, but that is not the fault of the establishment at all. The food is really delicious and you get a lot for what you pay for. It isn't the cheapest pub/restaurant place we've been to but still very fairly priced for the amount of food you get. I had the Fish of the Day which was Orange roughy which was very nice, I don't normally order fish at a restaurant because we get fresh caught fish all the time but I was glad I did. The desserts were really yummy as well, they were very well priced and a bit more interesting than the usual three scoops of ice cream or chocolate brownie with cream. The staff were very friendly, particularly our young waitress who was very friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great night and would definitely go there again.

WOW just WOW, I had been told how great the British Isles was by numerous people and finally went and experienced just how Warm and Cozy the atmosphere really is. Food AMAZING and won't put a dent in your wallet either. They serve proper pints which arnt overpriced (excellent pricing) the list goes on please do yourselves all a favour and go experience this place for yourselves ASAP!!

Uwe and his team are always great hosts. Always good times to be had. Great bunch of people to have a beer with. Great value meals. Had an awesome scotch fillet steak recently with bacon, mash, mushrooms and an egg on top! Yes there was alcohol involved...Kid friendly too.

We live in the area and really enjoy the atmosphere of the British Isles, it's very family friendly for our preschooler. Uwe and his staff are always welcoming and the bar offers a wide selection of draught beers which sets me up well for one of the great steak meal options available.

The BI is a traditional pub, unlike many of the bars around Auckland. It has character, good bistro-style food and friendly and efficient staff. It's family-owned and run, and this makes a difference in the staff and service. The food is very good and there is a wide selection of beers. The Guinness is good, as it the Fickle Mistress Pinot Noir goes very well with the traditional-style schnitzel. There's a child-friendly dining area, covered patio and a terrace.
