My partner and I came here for a game day on our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. We sat for hours playing all sorts of board games and had the best time. The staff were incredible, so funny and so helpful. The environment is lovely and the fire is so cosy. We will 10/10 be back, we had the best time!

Such a cool place with so much fun involved. The location is so accessible and that it doesnt get too rowdy - except for when you get too competitive with the games of course. The food is ok, not the best quality but why does it matter when you're too busy trying to win anyway. There's also drinks and happy hour roulette so that makes things even more fun. I highly recommend it the staff is great to play with as well.

We spent an awesome Saturday afternoon at the dice and fork. They have a huge variety of games available and staff are very helpful in recommending new games to try. We ordered a couple of dishes and drinks as well - the fried chicken (it was ok, not a lot of flavour) and the jalopeno poppers (these were very yummy). Both were decent portions Place was quite busy - had a fun atmosphere. We can’t wait to return and try some more games. Would def recommend as a couples / date / group or family activity

I've been here a few times recently. I'm not a board game aficionado, but there are a lot of different games you can choose from. I think it would take me a few years to play them all. The food is absolutely amazing. My most recent trip I had the friend chicken tacos and a mango smoothie. Loved the nice big piece of mango on the top. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I'll definitely be coming back here regularly.

We came on a Friday evening when this newly opened joint was buzzing and almost completely full. Given how busy it was, I was impressed by the staff, who were still able to deliver prompt and friendly service. Of the food, I tried the pork belly, which was very good and rivalled the same dish on many of Auckland's best menus. This is an awesome place to spend a couple of hours (or three or four) with friends and just chill and have some fun with their good selection of board and card games. I'll be back for another round soon.

Great board game cafe. Food was yummy and waitress was friendly. Such a large collection of board and card games for you to enjoy!! And the best part, the games are free as long as each person spends at least $20 on food and drinks. Awesome.

This was my first time ever going to a board game venue and wow! What a terrific place with a massive selection of games, amazing service, and lovely food. The staff were friendly and attentive, food and drinks arrived very quickly (even when it got busy later) and was of great quality, and they are passionate about board games and always happy to answer questions and give advice. I will definitely recommend this place and be returning very soon! (I was having such a great time that I only took one photo, and please note the game shown is one of our own we brought along).

Dice and Fork is such a great place to hang out with your friends and okay boardgames! The games are free, you just have to order food and drinks. They have a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - I recommend the sangria jug for sharing. The food was ok, the soft tacos were nicer than the rice bowls. The platter was pretty good. Next time we will try the burgers! Amazing range of board games, so much fun.

Such an awesome place to visit with a group of friends. The food and drink service is really fast - and delicious. They also have an awesome "roll the dice" shot menu, where you get a discount if you leave which shot you get to luck and a roll of a 20 sided die. The range of games to play is insane! Every popular card or board game I could think of was there, plus dozens and dozens more I'd never heard of. The staff are really helpful on explaining rules and game set up if you're not sure what you're doing.

We had a great time here. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, and the portions were excellent for the price. The game selection was fantastic. We got to play “Canvas” which has been on our radar for a while. Overall super fun place to spend an evening.

What an absolutely excellent experience! My partner and I came here on a date for some shoestring fries and drinks. James (AKA the rule guy) suggested, after hearing what we wanted to play, that we should try "Jaipur". He was super friendly and explained the game rules extremely clearly. The game was super fun and accompanied by the fries, we had such a wonderful time and I will absolutely be planning on bringing some other friends back. Thank you!

This is one of my favourite lunch spots. Always find a table, great service and menu. A good step up from burgers and fries with a good selection. And if you go with a group grab a board game off the shelves and have a bit of fun.

I tried this place because it sounded fun- and it was! The service was really friendly and the food tasted really good. My friend and I tried the chicken katsu bowl- it was really interesting with pickled carrots and something crunchy. Wish there was a bit more rice but the amount of chicken was generous. The portion size of the fries was small, but the jalapeno bites were very yummy! Best of all for me, they had a fabulous spicy Sriracha available! Will be back to try more- food and games!

Jack fruit bowl had hardly any jackfruit in it, didn’t taste like what I’ve had in the past, should have a pulled pork texture. Rice was stodgy not fluffy like you would expect in a bowl and the sauce was uninspiring, lacked any kind of flavour. The spicy chicken bites were average, definitely didn’t taste like the chicken was cooked on order, and had a squishy kinda texture like it was microwaved possibly. Can only comment on these two dishes as that’s what I ordered. Game and drink wise the place looked great maybe just don’t order these two dishes

Such an awesome place for playing board game with friends. Dice & Fork provides many types of board games and wonderful dishes, drinks as well. My friends and I spent the whole afternoon playing games with each other. We really like the good board game restaurant.

They have a great selection of board games to choose from. To be honest, we were a bit sceptical about the food as we came here to play board games. We were proven wrong, they serve delicious food. We ordered the Portebello Brioche Bun Baps (Mushroom burger) and Pan-Fried Fish Brioche Bun Baps (Fish burger) 🍄🐟 Both burgers came with shoestring fries 🍟 The burgers were absolutely delicious and moist, the sauce was practically dipping 💦 It is rare to find a restaurant that provide activities while you are dining. We would definitely come back for those burgers! 😋Delicious Tip - You must try the mushroom burger, it is the best vegetarian burger we have ever had. The atmosphere and the staff are both great. The games are reasonably plentiful (they do not have some classics like monopoly but have more than enough for you to have a good time). The drinks during happy hour were well-priced but the food, although well-portioned and fairly priced, was alright. (The lamb shank was very good though) Not the star of the show, but the staff are super friendly and the games are a great use of a couple hours whether one on one or with a group! Would recommend if you have an evening off and want to have some fun with friends.

An awesome addition to the culinary scene in Auckland. In my opinion we’ve been lacking restaurants that allow for an experience plus delicious meal. We came here primarily for board games (free of charge) and also grabbed a few small bites. The Cajun fried chicken was beautiful it had great crunch and the heat was awesome for the colder weather. The pulled pork was colorful and fresh tasting with heaps of color. Also one of the few places that does smores, the marshmallow was heated and melts in your mouth ( Sugary AF though ). They don’t have the largest range of games like Cakes and Ladders, but they more than make up for it with a great beer selection, tasty food and an awesome atmosphere. Showstopper: Board games with great food and beer what’s not to like? Overall Grade: A

Had lunch here today. Played some jenga while we wait for our food. We ordered tacos and fish & chips. The servings are pretty big so you get what you pay for. The food is very nice as well! Very impressed with what they had!

This is an incredible Auckland gem. The menu is small but the food is so good and there is still variety and something for everyone. I had the mushroom taco and it was so good. The baps look amazing too so I'm excited to taste that next time. The staff are so friendly but the best part is the extensive games you can play. It is such a cool experience. We went today when it was cold and rainy and it was such a good time. We got to play a mix of games and I can't wait to go back. Its a great place for friends and family to get together.

An excellent dining experience. The service we received was great! From walking through the door and being greeted by staff to being seated and ordering food. The staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating throughout. The food was divine, very tasty, full of flavour and fresh! I was pleasantly surprised by how much flavour was packed into the tacos! There was a wide variety of games to choose from both familiar and new. A great place for family and friends to have fun and enjoy amazing food! Would definitely recommend the crispy chicken, dessert taco and margarita!

First time at Dice and Fork yesterday and hands down it was an awesome experience. Amazing food (had pulled pork sliders, fried chicken, pork belly), drinks (best margaritas), and a gigantic library of games (all the major ones you've heard of plus plenty that you haven't). Booked in a decent sized group of 8 and they catered to us very well. Definitely would go again.

Love the idea of combining board games with food (& abit of liquor 😉 ) ambiance is inviting and cosy! We played 3 games and there are still so much more to explore! I expect the food to be average but I was wrong! Ordered fried chicken (boneless) k the poutine and both smashed my taste buds! Instead of sitting in a cafe looking at your own phone why not head to this place and start connecting with your f&f!
