The venue is part of White and Wong, has separate entrance also. Attentive waiter and bar tender. He turned on another patio heater to keep us warm before we requested him to. It made a big impression on me for being mindful.

Absolutely loved this place. The bartender Emma made my night!! Came in for drinks with some friends and asked Emma to mix me up a few cocktails of her choice that she thought I might enjoy, and she did just that. 10/10 recommend !!

Small, but nice place, friendly staff. They could pay more attention to cleanliness of the bar top and the tables, especially when the bar isn't extremely busy. Little details go a long way! Also, lukewarm water in drinking water jars is quite off-putting guys! Especially when you have cold water at the tip of your finger, literally! I'm giving you 4 starts. You can do even better!

This place was the highlight of our afternoon. The barman, Benii, was super knowledgeable and friendly and really made the afternoon for us. He suggested drink after drink, that was perfectly on point for our afternoon on the waterfront. Good chat and good bevvies, what more could you want. Props to him and his excellent customer service 🙏🙌❤️

Such a great little spot if you're into top shelf. Our barman Benji was an absolute pleasure and if you're lucky enough to have him wait on you yourself then make sure to give him a tip. For a young feller he knows his stuff when it comes to gin which is what we were sessioning. Top notch work Benji keep up the good work and well see you next time!

First impressions at Sardine, what a fantastic bar layout and cosy vibe right on the water. Great cocktail choices from classics to new wave interpretations. "Portside sour" with Sipsmith plum vodka and plum powder was a class act. Thanks Gareth, will def be back.

If you have a waterfront bar, take some pride and deliver good service.<br/><br/>Ordered the same bottle of fizz we had 10mins earlier at ‘the Alice’. These guys are more expensive and the service is non existent.<br/><br/>Intended to order more and settle in for the evening but due to the lack of care and attention, we went elsewhere.<br/><br/>Could be a good bar under right management and staff.

Popped in here for a quick drink on a Saturday evening. Sadly the glass of white wine my husband ordered was off. We both know this wine as we drink it regularly. The barman was very accommodating and replaced it immediately. What great service we thought....but no, upon receiving the bill we were charged $15 for the wine that was discarded. It is a shame that places such as this employ such young managers who have no idea of good customer service.!!! After a lengthy debate we didn't have to pay for the tainted wine.......we won't be returning!

The middle sibling of popular Viaduct venue "White & Wongs" & baby brother "Burger Boy", this cozy little bar makes full advantage of it's little nook. Late summer sun on the water, upbeat tunes, a fun & quirky (but still chic) décor. More importantly, a delightful wine list, offering top end NZ & old world classics by the glass or bottle. Pushing their rating into 5 stars is the authentic customer care the staff offered, which extended past the punters & into the street to a fallen pedestrian; Service without the hubris or nonchalance we get in so many other Auckland establishments. Kudos to you Sardine- Will definitely be returning to try the cocktails...

Barman was totally rude to me. He threw the drinks I had just bought away when I popped to the ladies for two minutes. And was arrogant about it afterwards. <br/>Hang in to your drinks with caution people!

A Rose between two thorns. <br/>After having escaped from the chaos that was the opening of our friends new nightclub on the harbour we needed something more civilised. <br/>After a short walk along the waterfront we noticed many bars were pumping loud music and we worried we may have to call it a night - until we found Sardine. <br/>The best thing about this place is the service. Tom the duty manager saw us approaching and came out from the bar to open the door for us. <br/>We chose to sit at the bar and ordered 2 glasses of our favourites. <br/>Tom really made us feel comfortable. His wine knowledge is superb, his Margarita was excellent and he really made the effort to interact with us. P <br/>Though only thing idv changed would have been the wine selection. We would have certainly started with 2 champagnes if the glass pour was decent - Mumm isn't our thing and the selection felt more like a contractual obligation instead of something put together with the customer in mind. In my opinion, having a boutique wine selection would give this place a real edge over what else is in the area<br/>Other than that we really enjoyed our evening. The service was fantastic and the vibe really suits hard working corporates that need somewhere they can unwind. <br/>

Meeting friends for dinner at White & Wong, there was time to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail on what was a clear winters night. <br/>I'd been to White & Wong's before & seen the bar but had assumed it was all part of the restaurant - I think it may be the same owner as I was able to take my drink into the restaurant later, but it is definitely marketed separately. It's a relatively small space (hence the name) but it works well with the deck outside.<br/>I decided to order from the cocktail menu & there was a lot of choice - being Negroni week I decided to order one of them. Not cheap at $18, but considering the quality & location, it was not a total surprise. It was well made & presented. <br/>Service was great - friendly & helpful with the menu. I was told to take a seat outside & they would bring the cocktail to me, rather than waiting at the bar. Sitting on the deck outside was a fantastic view - this will be a popular spot anytime of the year, but particularly summer. <br/>Looking forward to visiting again & exploring more of the cocktail menu.<br/>

Great drinks list and amazing service from the team at Sardines. I've only been here a couple times but they make you feel welcome and they are always open to conversations. Will definitely be coming here more often. To top it off, the area is beautiful. Keep it up guys.

Awesome drink selection. Great service and some really good dumplings !<br/>I really love the char Sui pork. Not that the others were bad but hard to choose the best. Chefs are really talented and have great presentation skills .<br/>Will go for more soon
