Took my man to celebrate his birthday here, and it was a great lunch experience with an American style theme. Good service - friendly people, good food although my chicken was a little dry. The hamburger or 'Elvis' burger was really juicy and yum! Will definitely come back for lunch.

Loved the burgers and fries! The burgers are MASSIVE, make sure to bring your appetite. I had the Southern Fried Chicken with curly fries and my partner had the Momma’s Burger with regular fries. The root beer float and chocolate milkshakes were great as well! Would definitely recommend for a fun weekend out. I had to purchase a takeaway container ($0.50) to take my burger home because the portions were so large. The diner is outrageously American in decor but really fun, not your typical cafe/ lunch spot.

We stumbled across this USA themed diner today and tucked in for a bite to eat. Burgers were on the more pricey side to what were used to but holy moly were they amazing! I had the Louisiana chicken and my partner had the mumma burger with the Elvis upgrade. The basket of chips were great for the kids. The ice cream sundaes looked epic too! The diner set up was so cool. The music was awesome. Many of us in the place were singing along. Staff were lovely and very helpful despite being slammed. Diets catered for to a point. Toilets were clean and tidy. Really enjoyed our visit

The team made my daughter’s 13th birthday while on a dessert progressive dinner! They swapped our booking to a booth (to add teenage “instagram appeal”) & quickly & efficiently made 5 freakshakes that were the birthday highlight! Thank you!

The service here is incredible!! The staff are all super friendly & welcoming. Not to mention how amazing the food was too! I had a lovely experience here 😊❤️

I had some fantastic service from the team down at mission bay !food was fantastic👍 if you like a rich blue cheese sauce with your buffalo wings you will love this place!Curly fries on point too!!

The staff on tonight were so friendly. Not just one but all of them. Every encounter, my friend and I were greeted with a warm smile. When I heard them greeting/helping other customers they shared the same warm greeting and were very inviting to everyone. It was super cold outside so they brought a gas heater to keep as warm. Such a great customer experience here. The place is buzzing, food is delicious and the staff are awesome! Great work!

Amazing American inspired restaurant. Even though the place has a somewhat smaller menu it makes up for the food it serves. We tried the Apple caramel waffle and spicy wings which were amazing, so we even went for second time which we had the Apple caramel waffle again with regular waffle with chocolate syrup which was subpar. But I’m giving this a 5 star as the atmosphere is so chic.

The food was very good, but the highlight was our server, nicknamed 'Beef'. He was legitimately the best server I've ever had. He was very polite and respectful to my family of different ages, very kind and well-mannered. Looking forward to coming back as a result!

There aren't a lot of restaurants like this in Auckland. The vibe and decor is pretty nice and does fit with the dinner aesthetic. The staff, despite being really busy, were really nice and helpful. The food was pretty good. I had a freakshake which was pretty awesome. The only issue was that a couple of the meals came out really late.

This was the best dining experience in Auckland! The food was awesome.......loved the look inside as it transports you to another space. The service from the staff was the best and will be back as this is my new go to spoil. Keep it up guys!

Had an absolute monster smash burger. Great flavours nice crunch. Cant wait to be on that side of town again for another round. Might have to do a special road trip. By far the best burger i've had in nz.

The place is right in the midst of mission bay for those would like to spend the day in the beach with a burger, chips and ice cream or juice for dessert. We ordered a fried chicken burger and the pulled pork which were Delicious, juicy and nicely flavoured. The only downfall is that there was only one option for chicken (if that’s what you prefer) but they have beef options too. Would recommend (:

So instead of personally messaging me and rectifying why they served me raw meat, they’ve deleted my first review so I will leave another one. Pictures of the big Hawaiian burger with raw beef and burnt bacon and majority of the burger being lettuce. Hot dog overfilling with mince, tiny sausage only. Chicken with buffalo sauce that tasted so bad of vinegar, awful meal. They also didn’t have any chicken so couldn’t order the chicken waffles like we wanted. Also had to wait 50 minutes for our food. Don’t go, you’ll be ripped off and served raw food. Maybe why they have a rating of 4 is the owners are deleting all the bad reviews. I will be going to the nz food safety commission if they delete my next review again. Own up to your mistake and apologize.

Ordered philly cheesesteak and bowl of fries. It was so good! Really wished I had extra cheese but it was sooo nice next time was come I will request extra cheese! This place is amazing!!!

The thing I most like about this place is that the chicken for the chicken waffle is flavoured in spices. So your not receiving plain chicken with waffles. Great flavours. One of the top places for me for chicken waffles. Could actually include a salad or some sort of mayo or sesame aioli to elevate the dish. But otherwise no complaints.

Service was amazing and the way the restaurant is set up (to each minor detail) reminds you of an American style diner. Reminded me of Riverdale lol! The interior is definitely unique and it’s awesome to see something like this in Auckland! Everything we ordered was wonderful - points of note are the burger bun was soft, fresh, and warm, the fried chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was not oily at all. Hands down one of the best fried chicken’s I have had! The buffalo sauce is insanely good!! Highly recommend! The salad also offered a decent portion for the price and had a range of colours. I would’ve loved to see the lettuce sliced and the salad tossed through with the dressing. Only thing I would say as a negative is that the amount of cheese sauce on the “loaded” fries is is quite low, especially for $13. I went and asked for more to be put on and luckily they obliged free of charge. Overall price is slightly high but you pay for the all American experience, quality ingredients, consistency of quality in the food, and an amazing view of the beach! 8.5/10

This was our first time experience here and we waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive and it wasn’t even that busy! Was it worth the wait? Absolutely not! The chicken and waffle looked like it was burnt and it was tasteless. The southern fried chicken burger was very average and was not worth $17 with no sides. Don’t even bother getting the side of fries either it didn’t come out fresh.

Delicious and awesome service

Hubby surprised me and the kids with a dinner out these ways. The restaurant is different from the “happy days” era aesthetic. Kids loved it. Had the American hotdogs and the waffle and ice cream the kids loved it. The staff were very lovely and attentive. The food was tasty but not knock your socks tasty. Pleasant experience may come back again.

Went to Bald Eagle with a friend for lunch and was definitely a Filling meal. Our meal came to 62 bucks but with the filling it was definitely worth it! One thing I’d have to say though, is that the pigeons also love this place, so if you’re afraid of birds, I would not recommend :)

Nothing special, average minus fast food. Staff at the front desk was nice but when I asked to add some vegetables, lettuce and tomato to an hamburger - they did not know what to do and finally decided to charge me extra 5 bucks for each ingredient. What ?!

The place has an inviting vibe so we decided to take a look on their menu. It has good reviews on Zomato so we gave this a chance. The staff are very nice, and the service is good. Loved their food as well. Ordered their mac n cheese, chicken tenders with blue cheese dip and apple pie ala mode. Enjoyed our lunch very well and we’re so full after.

This place has a very authentic American feel, from the decor, to the music, to the food. The burgers were delicious, well cooked and not dry, but nice and juicy, though also not soggy! But just right. One thing was disappointing though, that when the burgers arrived at the table they were served without fries, so we had to order them separately, a little annoying. But I guess maybe we should’ve asked before ordering... Just a little odd to order a $17 burger that doesn’t come with a side of fries. <br/>

Decor is brilliant, service is professional and friendly. The food is 100% genuine American cuisine. Having travelled extensively throughout the US and frequented many roadside diners this establishment personifies the classic Blue Plate Special experience.

The decor of the diner is quite impressive and looks like something you see on the TV. We grabbed a table and ordered at the counter but it did look like they did have table service. <br/><br/>Tried the chilli dog and it wasn't spicy at all. Hotdog was nice but thought the chilli was a bit bland. The root beer float was great. It was surprising that the chilli dog arrived before the root beer float though. <br/><br/>Quite a nice location on the main street in Mission Bay, beside the cinema. The dining area wasn't too packed with booths lining the sides.

Came in yesterday with friends after kayaking at the beach. Ordered some fries, burger and buffalo wings. Buffalo wings had a bit of spice to it but was really flavourful. Chicken was tender and sauce was delicious. Fries were average. Service was great.

Came here on a Friday evening, it was too packed. I loved the Americana decor but the first table got was wonky so we moved to different table. <br/><br/>The waitress was really friendly, I ordered a southern fried chicken burger and chips, which were both delicious but I thought range burger could be stacked a little bit tighter. <br/><br/>Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Vege burger/hot dog was a bit soggy with cooked eggplant? and onions, an actual vegetarian sausage/hot dog option would be great. There was also a big hair in our other hot dog which was really gross and disappointing. The chefs should be wearing hats or hairnets. Milkshake was also average, overall wouldn’t visit again and didn’t feel it was worth the price. Shame seeing as there are so many other great reviews.

Went today and service really let them down, food has definitely slipped very different to previous experiences. Meals took over 45min and not particularly busy and when food arrived it was well below average and chili fries were inedible and waffles doughy. When paying the bill the state of the kitchen was a bit horrifying there was food all over the floor and service area. Such a shame, previously loved it and great location.

Great ambiance and service, friendly staff and good food. We tried their Southern Fried Chicken waffles, Texan Dawg, Mac n Cheese, chocolate and cookies & cream ice creams. The Southern Fried Chicken was a little bland while the Mac n Cheese tasted like the microwaveable Mac n Cheese that you can buy from the supermarket.

The thick shakes were delicious, as was the breakfast burger. We were looking forward to the fried chicken however it seemed more oven baked than fried, as the coating was soft and soggy. There wasn't much flavour in the coating either. A bit on the pricey side too.

The Bald eagle dinner has a nice location and ambience. I love the booth seats and the jukebox playing. I ordered a hamburger which tasted nice. I thought the milkshakes were on the small side for what you pay for them. Staff weren’t overly friendly but pleasant enough.

I’m sad. I went in hoping to have a nice burger but what I had instead was a greasy sloppy mess. Every component was dripping in oil, even the fries. Didnt finish our meals- how could you when all the grease nauseates one. No flavour either. The meat in the deluxe cheeseburger was hard and bland. Never ever coming back <br/>

Food there was really good, it’s a classic American style diner. I got the chicken burger with a shake and some chicken wings and they were great. The interior is so cool and classic styled. I would go there again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food tastes very American. The chocolate milkshake was the biggest disappointment as it had no chocolate flavour at all. The fried chicken waffles were nice but the chicken was a bit burnt. Hot dog would have been delicious if the caramelised onions were actually caramelised!! 2.5* !

Very clean and comfortable place to dine in, nice talkative friendly staff. Food takes a while to cook but hey you get everything fresh.. approximately waited 15 mins but food was worth the price and wait👍❤️

Can I just say that previous comments kind of put off going to this place but I’m soooooo happy my bf and I went. He had a philly cheese steak w chips and I had the cheeseburger special with fries, we shared the chicken tenders (worth the money I promise ya) and mac&cheese which I would’ve gladly ate without sharing lol. Anyway the atmosphere was exactly how us kiwis imagine an American diner would be like.<br/>Staff were very friendly and food was so delicious, we’ve got left overs that I hope he forgets about. Sadly no mac&cheese lol. Will definitely make it the new go to spot.

Been here 3 times now, the last being last night ! Every time we go we’ve taken someone with us and they love it just as much as we do ! The decor is nostalgic but modern it takes you to diner on a desert road out in the middle of the US. Food is delicious ! Recommend highly !

Hubby was over the moon he was finally getting to try chicken & waffles which he loved, i got the Philly cheese steak and it was sooo good! Nacho cheese fries were delicious. Waiters are lovely. There were 6 of is and the food come out quite quickly. Not overly expensive either. Will definitely be back here!

Subpar meal tonight - ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken was slightly overcooked, and therefore somewhat dry, waffles were fairly cold too. $9 dollars for a banana thickshake that doesn't even contain any real banana is ridiculous. Also, your website pricing is inconsistent with in store pricing as we paid several dollars more than what was mentioned on your website, good job.

This is a well set up environment with awesome seating replicating an American diner. The staff are welcoming and attentive. <br/><br/>To be honest I’m a little baffled by the reviews. We can here prior to a movie at mission bay. The milkshakes are terribly over priced for the size. (Take away comes in a small paper cup. About a medium size McDonald cup for reference) nothing all that amazing about it. <br/><br/>We ordered off the lunch menu so the prices were ok for what we got. Two burgers and chips. A philly cheese steak hotdog and Mac n cheese off the kids menu. <br/><br/>I only ate the hotdog as such that’s all I’ll talk to. It was bland.. very very bland. Supposedly had pickles and caramelised onions but I was struggling to see or taste them. Steak was ok I guess and if you like cheese your in for a treat because it covered the entire hot dog! I couldn’t even see my steak. <br/><br/>It’s not that it was horrible or bad. It really just tasted like eating noting. Something to put in my stomach but nothing at all to rave about. <br/><br/>Judging from other reviews if your going to come here looks like the waffles are a better choice. First time eating here and it was everything you would expect great service good food I had to try the chicken and waffles and wasn't disappointed moist chicken nice waffles topped of with maple syrup you get a real American diner feel and the choc milkshake was good too just felt a bit cramped but I'm not the smallest person lol

If you haven’t tried chicken on waffles yet then you’re late to the party. <br/><br/>Months ago I saw someone Snapchat this place and I was intrigued, even baffled by the idea I made the visit and the first bite it tasted really average and I was annoyed it cost like $20 BUT WAIT I poured the syrup and that was it, suddenly it was exquisite! I crave these bad boys once a month! Obviously it’s not a balanced meal (especially not with cheese fries) but I low key wish they gave us 4 waffles instead of 3 as they give a whole lot of chicken not enough waffles. <br/><br/>It does feel like an American 90s diner! With the old jukebox and sitting in little booths. I always sit in the first booth facing the window, have a cute view of mission bay. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend to try at least once!

Came here on a Wednesday night and was quite busy, <br/>Sat in a booth with a group of friends. I ordered the deluxe hamburger and a bowl of fries which I throughly enjoyed and the quality and size was well worth what I paid for. I also ordered a cookie and cream milkshake but was slightly dissapointed as it came in a plastic cup with a lid which wast what I was expecting and didn't taste spectacular. I had a maple and walnut sundae for dessert which was really tasty and filling as well. Overall was a good experience, all the waitresses were friendly and helpful. The only con would be that it got very hot in the booth but that is to be expected on a hot summery night with a decent sized group sitting near the kitchen.

My partner and I decided to pop in for dinner one night with a friend. I loved the aesthetic of the place and I found the staff friendly and a pleasure to deal with. <br/><br/>I decided to try something new and went for the chicken and waffles.... two things I would not normally put together. I found it a strange combination but the waffles and chicken were cooked to perfection. My partner ordered the hotdog and we found that it was too overloaded with cheese and sauce. The burger was a standard burger...nothing exciting.<br/><br/>Overall it was a nice experience but not an outlet I would look to return to as the food is not something I usually go for.

Ate at Bold Eagle Diner on a Friday afternoon. I had ordered the cheeseburger with the fries and a Dr. Pepper and my sister had the philidelphia cheese steak sandwich with fries and a rootbeer. The burger and phili cheese steak are quite big and both were delicious. The decor of the restaurant is very nice - nice booth seats. The waiters were friendly and attentive. We received our food quite quick and there wasnt much customers when we were there. One little con would be the price of the Dr. Pepper and root beer cans, which are $5 for a can but other than that an enjoyable experience. Would go again if in the area.

This place is cute, has that real all American feel to it, nicely decorated as an old vintage American dinner. The service here is very prompt and friendly. Didn’t have to wait long for the food. My friend and I had chicken burgers and shared fries. The fries were generous and yummy (favourite part). The burgers however were average. Not much flavour to it, was hard to eat without making a mess and the chicken was a tad rubbery which is questionable. It cost $40, for just the two burgers and fries. Totally isn’t worth it, won’t be going back anytime soon. The rating is for the fries, service and atmosphere.

The hotdog was average.  <br/><br/>The deluxe cheeseburger was huge and tasted great with the deep fried pickle. The lime freak shake looked awesome, was decorated with whipped cream, green skittles, chocolate sauce and sprinkles. <br/><br/>The BBQ sauce chicken wings were undercooked and my partner found blood in one. He opened another one with his fingers and there was blood in that one too. We were lucky to find this before our 5 year old son started to eat one. The waitress came over to ask how our meal was. I showed her the blood in the chicken wings that we had found and was told that this was common and that it is completely safe to eat. I asked her if this happened often and she repeated that it was common. We did not eat the chicken wings, in fact this had put us off our meal and dining experience.<br/><br/>While paying the bill, the waitress again asked how our food was. I reminded her about the blood in our chicken wings. She said that she will get the manager. The manager asked what the problem was and I told him that there was blood in our chicken wings. One of the waiters went and got the evidence from our table and showed him. The manager continued to tell me that this is completely normal and that there are bloody veins in the chicken wings but it was safe to eat. He then offered to cook some more for us, to which I declined.<br/><br/>Our bill came to $68.50 and he offered me a discount of $6.20, so our bill was $62.30.<br/><br/>Really? We ordered cooked chicken wings and were served undercooked chicken wings and the manager thinks he is doing us a favour by giving us a $6.20 discount on $15.00 chicken wings that we could not eat? I was disappointed that we were even charged for the chicken wings at all considering that we did not get what we had ordered, however, I thought I’d just let this go.<br/><br/>The waitress was very friendly. The manager seemed friendly until he saw the undercooked chicken wings and got all defensive as if we had somehow caused this situation of being served undercooked chicken? <br/><br/>Had it not been for the way the manager handled the situation, I would have scored higher. I’m also glad we saw the blood before my son ate any chicken wings.<br/><br/>Cooked food and good customer service is really important in this industry. I think the manager could upskill and improve on the way he treats and handles situations like this.<br/><br/>IT IS NOT OK TO EAT CHICKEN BLOOD.

Southern chicken and Waffles - 4.5 stars. Waffles could be nicer. The chicken is amazing with the bacon and syrup.<br/><br/>The laua burger with chips - beef patty could have been more flavoursome. The chips were alright. But overall a nice meal.<br/><br/>Great service and love the American feel to the diner

Took the family out to lunch , we saw this place so we decided to try it out, we were served pretty much straight away, the staff here a very polite and helpful our order didn’t take to long to come out and the food was delicious!!! My chicken wings were a lil bit over cooked but still tasty other then that everything else was delicious, thank you

Was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Awesome service that made me feel like I was in a real Southern diner - Southern Hospitality! And the food was very good, especially the hot dogs which were generously portioned and worth the money. Good combinations of sauces and onions on the dogs, while the loaded fries were also very moreish.

Convenient location to the cinema and great vibrant atmosphere. It clearly caught our eyes.<br/><br/>We were seated straight away by a friend staff and the daily specials were introduced. We ordered the cheese burger , the southern fried chicken waffle and the root beer float.<br/><br/>Our food and drinks arrived quickly and are in good portion. The burger was yummy and the drink is what you expected. The chicken was cooked nicely but a bit lack of flavours. The waffles are a bit too thick and as a result of that it didn't go too well with the chicken.<br/><br/>Generally speaking it was a good dinning experience. It's a bit on the pricey side as do all of the Mission Bay diners. Would recommend it for a before and after movies meal option.

Came here after we took the dogs for a walk - had not actually seen this place before and it looked super neat so we thought we’d give it a go! The staff were super friendly - provided water for the dogs and were very friendly towards them and us! The food was also very good - I love mac and cheese, one of my favourite dishes! Came here for lunch with my friend. The people here were very friendly and attentive. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak hotdog and wow there was so much cheese! 🤤🤤🤤 it was very nice and super filling! Honestly didn’t even need to have dinner afterwards. And probably didn’t even need to order fries... but they were pretty good too.

Staff were so friendly and kind. The diner has an awesome location at an awesome price. The diner has an unique vibe and atmosphere with classic decor. The food came in large portions, the only thing I could suggest is maybe adding a little less sauce, to their food. Overall awesome experience.

Impeccable service!! Every single wait staff I encountered here was amazing! They're welcoming, accommodating and cheerful. The diner itself feels really American with lots of red, white and blue. The menu is quite basic with everything you would expect from an "American" diner. <br/><br/>My friend and I got the deluxe hamburger and chicken tenders. Unfortunately, both dishes were very average. The chicken wasn't seasoned enough for my liking and the burger also lacked flavour. I absolutely hated the fried pickle in the burger as it oozed oil - I had to take it out. <br/><br/>However, I don't think this will be my last visit. I'd definitely love to try their hotdogs and chilli fries.

Yum $15 chick waffle wednesdays. Went with partner and we loved it better than other places cooking trendy chicken and waffles. Solid portion just come through goodness. Crispy melt in mouth fried chicken pieces. Friendly people on service. Plan to visit again. Would suggest they dim the lights a little though as it's super bright in there and play some music so you're not getting your fries with a side of somebody else's business.

Ended up here for a dinner date while looking for something to eat in/near the city. Parking is available in the carpark by the beach or parallel parking.<br/><br/>Diner decor was blue and white booths and tables. Prompt service upon entering. Lots of different options for meals. We ordered a Philly cheese steak roll, Texas Chilli Fries and a Salted Caramel shake.<br/><br/>My partner and I went halves on it all. We loved the food. I particularly enjoyed the Texas Chilli Fries. The Salted Caramel milkshake was delicious but was served in a takeaway cup which was a bit of bummer. I would have appreciated a tall glass to keep with the American Diner theme. It was also pricey at $7.50.<br/><br/>Overall very impressed with the tasty offerings here. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Been to this place before and I loved it! Had the Texan Dawg first time absolutely delicious! Went back today, and wasn’t as enthusiastic about the food being served. I thought since there was a $13 Buffalo Wings and Chips deal that I would try it, however the wings were a let down. I would not recommend trying them. The smell and taste of the sauce smelt like soap and tasted like eating soap. I didn’t even eat it I just left it which wasted my money. 👎🏽 however, staff are friendly and they seemed to know the buffalo wings weren’t nice when I asked how popular they were as their answer was “they’re not too popular did you not enjoy them?”<br/>Anyway, I still would recommend coming here, just don’t buy the buffalo wings! 😁

Great place for spending time with friends and colleagues after work. Visited this place for a farewell. From outside this place appears to be a casual American diner but from inside this place provides awesome ambience, great music and overall great vibe. The staff was extremely friendly and knew exactly what to recommend. Great work team Bald Eagle Diner. I will surely recommend this place if you are at Mission Bay and want to enjoy finger food and shakes.

We love this place! Service is good and waiting time is not too long. The diner has a nice decor with a nice view and will give you a vibe of a confort food. The servings are generous and will actually make you full! Freak shakes are good not overly sweet! The fries are nice and crispy and definitely a cheese lover heaven! We will definitely comeback, the only downside is the spinach dip with artichokes needs more. Cream cheese as it taste more of a veggies not a dip. Cool place to hang out and catch up with family and friends. Friendly service.

Thanks Bald Eagle Diner for the fantastic Philli Dogs and Buffalo wings, chips and hotdogs. The food was soooo moist and delicious. It really kept us going for our 48 hour film on the weekend. Srumdiddlyumptious!

Worst chicken burger i have ever eaten in my life . Fries are nice and crispy along with  chicken/Coleslaw salads. Waiting time is way too much ( 15+ minutes ) though there was no customer during peak hour (12-2 PM). Staff is friendly and courteous

Came here with a groups of us and really enjoyed the food!!! The chicken waffles with bacon was HUGE, the chicken was juicy and bacon crispy! I'm very fussy when it comes to eating out as my dads a chef but I didn't have anything negative to say about this dish! Well worth the money! My friends got the cheeseburger and Elvis cheese burger which they all loved! Portions are huge so even tho it looks a bit pricey it's well worth it! Will definitely be coming back :) :) :)

Cute little 50's American style diner in mission bay with a great menu. I had the Chicken burger with southern fried chicken(added bacon), it was nice and big. Wish the lettuce was a bit smaller, other than that great burger! Also had very friendly and welcoming staff for newcomers.

Literally just finished dining here for the first time today with my partner. We came abit early and were the first customers there but got seated immediately. The waitresses were awesome! Loved the cute outfit that one of the waitresses was wearing. They were both very accommodating and friendly. The decor of the restaurant is so cute too!<br/><br/>We ordered the chicken and waffles, deluxe cheeseburger, macaroni and cheese and the cheese fries. Our drinks came out quickly. Then our food followed about 10 minutes later. The waffles were a bit too crisp for my liking but still delish. Cheeseburger came with a deep fried pickle which was the highlight for my boyfriend lol haven't found a place in Auckland that does that yet! I'm really picky with Mac and cheese because every cafe or restaurant I get it from is usually below average but BED's M&C tastes just like homemade M&C! The portions were large, I couldn't finish all of mine. We left very satisfied and very happy. Thanks guys for your great hospitality! Will definitely be back 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋✨✨✨✨✨

Got an order of fries only. Shoe string fries, nice hot and crispy, nice presentation , friendly staff and free ketchup! Unlike Burgerfuel that charge you for ketchup. I would definitely return to try thier burgers.

This place serves up some of the best American style food and dessert. Generous portion and friendly staff. They served up the wrong order and remedied it by giving it to us on the house and quickly made the correct order. Highly recommended.

Comfy seating, busy place, good service and a great spot in Mission bay, however I did not enjoy the Spicy Chicken Wings as much as I would have loved too. Felt that it was a bit undercooked. The serving though is huge. My friend had a chicken burger which she claimed was well made and delicious. So overall not a very bad experience.

Good service- we were served by a friendly waitress. <br/><br/>Maybe it was the choice of our order, they were very average, we took a bite of the hot dog and abandoned it. We had the Hamburger & chips, classic hot dog and the chicken waffle. <br/><br/>To improve: Meat quality

The staff were excellent. Great decor and good theme. Food was out in a timely manner and looked nice. However the buns were really soggy and quite dry and so the burger didn't taste very good it was better to take the stuff out of the burger and eat it. The Texas chilli fries were spicy and really yum I enjoyed those alot. I know alot of people are thinking a burgers a burger but if you go to Better Burger or Corner burger, Burger Burger everytime you go through experience is amazing the burgers are perfection and if your paying the same price some were even more expensive you expect quality.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated right away. Ordered the fried chicken burger which was really good! The chicken was cooked perfectly and came with fresh salad and sauce. I'd recommend this!

Can't fault this place at all. The decor is really cool, they have done a good job making it feel like an American diner and the service was also great. <br/><br/>The chicken and waffles were amazing!! Would highly recommend. My partner had a fried chicken burger and rated that very highly as well. The BBQ sauce on the wings is slightly sweet which isn't my personal preference but they were still tasty and cooked well. <br/><br/>We will definitely be going back!

The burger buns are not the best, I know they are brioche but they are a little too sweet. Also it would be nice if your website stated the specials were weekdays only because I couldn't find anywhere that said that, and I had to ask the waitress! Everything else is all good, would return :)

Friendly service, clean establishment and excellent food. Nice open spacing, and really enjoy the old school diner decor. Highely recommened the chicken and waffles! Can't wait to come back again and try the hotdogs this time around :D

Went down to BED today and had their special, the MESSY burger. Yummy will recommend it to everyone. Staff very helpful in explaining what the burger was and service great!

An awesome American-Diner themed place which truly freaky FreakShakes and American styled burgers!<br/><br/>I ordered the Cookies & Cream FreakShake with the Deluxe Cheeseburger & Fries. The bread might've been baked on-site as it was crumbling a bit too much but who cares, I was not disappointed and neither will my family when I bring them to this place in the weekend!<br/><br/>All in all a great location, ambience and helpful staff! You can't ask for more than that!

Really love the atmosphere here. It feels like a proper American diner and on point music. I should have gone for the chicken and waffles (two favourite foods in one!) but went for the chicken burger and partner had the cheese burger. We were both a bit underwhelmed by the burgers but the fries were nice. <br/><br/>Staff are very attentive with great sense of humour!

Enjoyed my experience here- nice to see a new American style diner on the scene. The atmosphere was fun but relaxed, however I found the waitresses to be quite annoying. We got asked 2 times by different staff members if we were ready to order when we had barely sat down and read the menu. We ordered desserts, I got the apple pie and my friend got the waffle. They came with lots of ice cream so we were happy. While we were eating, 3 staff members asked how our food was. The food was great, but asking once was enough! Made us feel a little rushed. Will definitely dine here again, but hopefully next time the staff will know who served who.

I actually really love some of the food at this place. Service is great. We brought our little 1.5 year old niece and she demolished an entire shake. Concerning that a little kids appetite is so huge, but i don't blame her it was delish.<br/><br/>The cheese loaded fries are my FAVOURITE. I do dream about them sometimes. The cheese is a good generous helping for a fellow cheese lover such as myself. It's almost got some kind of kick in it like a tabasco or something. Anyway they are 10/10 or more.<br/><br/>The fried chicken is good, not great. The coating is a bit too dense for my liking but that might just be the style. It is super crunchy chicken. The waffles were great with the chicken.<br/><br/>The chicken burger again was very good. Just the batter again on the chicken is a little bit too crunchy and dense. <br/><br/>Still a great place, and we'll be back again we've already been back thrice. Dem cheesey chips be mighty fine

Very nice authentic treat. Full of all the good and bad things. Really enjoyed. Great to share with the grand children. One of whom said, his expectations were high but he was still surprised at just how good it was.

Nice atmosphere and retro diner feel with the decor and music...classic menu with burgers and fries and crispy chicken... All good... And I should remind myself to order the classic dish when I eat in a place like this but unfortunately I went for the pulled pork burger with the coleslaw salad... Not a pleasant experience as the meat was mushy and the coleslaw did not really compliment it. I will give it one more go next time but only order hotdogs or the classic hamburger.

The place is new in have been only once.<br/>Decoration is nice and hygiene quite high as you would expect. <br/>Service was friendly but it dropped a bit when the place got busy.<br/>Food is weird.<br/><br/>Toasties are excellent. <br/>Salad was heavy must have to do with the sauce. <br/>Plain chips were tasty but the ones with the melted cheese total waste. <br/><br/>A bit dissapointed that there were no fresh juices options in the menu, only fat shakes.<br/><br/>Will be back to try the burgers and the coffee.<br/>

Great new addition to Mission Bay.    The kids love the american diner style booths and outfits.  The staff are friendly and attentive.<br/><br/>The chicken and waffles are addictive.. nuff said.

My friend and I had a nice time here for dessert last week. Both the Apple Pie and Waffles were a treat, and the staff were super friendly (although a bit too much, we got asked by 3 different staff members if we enjoyed the food, and were rushed into ordering). Will definitely come back to try a main!

A friend and I had lunch here on a scorching summers day.<br/><br/>The service was friendly and familiar with the menus. Their outfits are also match the american restaurant ambiance. <br/><br/>I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken and blue cheese burger which was recommended by the waitress. It was a reasonable size, but despite it's name it wasn't very spicy, and the blue cheese didn't stand out too much either. The chicken was nice and crispy, and I was satisfied with the burger once it went down. <br/>I ordered a side of chips which were very nice and well seasoned. <br/><br/>What stands out here is the menu; it's different and brave, beats going to a cafe any day.<br/><br/>I wasn't blown away here, but I'll likely come back to try a hot dog.

Came here for hot dogs and burgers. 2 out of the 3 hot dogs on the menu were not available for order that day. <br/><br/>The hotdog I ordered (Old School)was bland and was more of a $2.50 NY street hotdog than a $9 diner dog! Actually the $2.50 hot dogs in NYC tasted waaayy better.<br/><br/>The burger (Spicy Buffalo Chicken) was just as bland as the hotdog, had no taste of blue cheese mayo at all, and the chicken pieces in it were soggy like they were microwaved. At least the buffalo sauce gave it a bit of flavor!<br/><br/>Seriously B.E.D., i know you're going for the novelty factor of being an American diner but there's no excuse for lack of taste when you charge as much as you do! Especially with America Style food which should taste so much better!

The vege burger here is absolutely amazing - they used a zucchini party and grilled halloumi which is different and also delicious, even more so when I added some of my onions rings to it. The service is really friendly however I would have liked them to offer to fill our water glasses. Will definitely be coming back!

Really well seasoned chicken and a perfect match with the syrup and waffles! Highly recommend the chicken waffles! I'll definitely come back just for the chicken waffles! <br/><br/> The hot dog was in my opinion tasted okay, just a typical hot dog in my opinion so nothing you wouldn't expect out of a hot dog.<br/><br/> Plenty of staff but they took a while to give us some water until I asked, but hope they work on that. They're in a great location for foot traffic and that's how we're were enticed to dine in. I would want to come back and have the chicken waffles, maybe sample from the menu but nothing that would scream out "try me".

Came here and snagged a table outside - wasn't very busy which was nice! The service was friendly and prompt. We ordered a double cheeseburger and a Texan hot dog with a beer and a spider! The food came quickly and was good - good flavour for a simple meal! Nice addition to Misson Bay.

Came here on labour day for lunch (no surcharge) and the place was packed we sat outside as we had two dogs with us. Their Staff and (I think) the owner was very helpful and kind they even gave our dogs water and they were very accommodating. We ordered pulled pork burger which was lovely and bigger than expected, cheese burger, chicken tenders and fries. All were very yummy and good flavours. Generous serving with fries however not so much with chicken tenders. Price wise very affordable. Everything was really good but our table outside was very wobbly and we struggled to eat properly so perhaps new tables? Other than that we will be back!

LOVE the setup of this place! Clean, well presented and definitely stays true to the theme of the restaurant. Has very friendly and down to earth staff plus good music playing.<br/><br/>Food was good. My partner had their chicken waffles and he loved it!<br/><br/>I ordered their Mac n Cheese which tasted odd to me - in a good way! It's much tangier and fully packed with flavours than usual kiwi made Mac n cheese which is a lot creamier and smooth in taste. So it's something your palate needs a little bit of adjusting to.<br/><br/>We also ordered a side of fries with aioli and by far, their aioli is the best I've tried! It's so creamy and the flavours are perfectly balanced! So this for me was the star of the night haha<br/><br/>I'd definitely come back here again and try their burgers/hotdogs etc. :)<br/><br/>Overall we spent $40 for everything so I'd say the food is actually pretty cheap considering it's located in a fairly expensive area and it's a good price for the quality of food. :)

As an expat living in Auckland I was very excited for the Bald Eagle Diner to open. Overall the experience met my expectations, however several things were lacking. Service: Was very good and well above the average standard in Auckland. Texan Hot Dog with Fries: The chilli was very fancy chunky chilli which was nice. There was an American sized serving of cheese on the hot dog. The frankfurter was more like a boiled cheerio and was mushy in the middle. Would have loved to have had a higher quality grilled frankfurter. I feel the price of $16 was a little steep considering the quality of the frankfurter. Strawberry milkshake: Was pretty standard and served in a paper to-go cup with plastic lid. I would have loved to see it served in a milkshake glass with whipped cream and a cherry. Overall I would love to see a larger menu with more salads, soup (serve your yummy chilli!), breakfast all day, and some classic "diner" dessert pies! For now, I would classify this as a burger restaurant with a few extras rather than a "diner." I will be back to try other things.

Pretty good place to go if your feeling like a burger and their shakes are really nice, some improvements needed - the buffalo chicken burger I found was quite dry and didn't have much inside it apart from lettuce, The chicken and waffles were really nice
