The two of us only had a savoury muffin each. They were really crumbly and tasteless. We couldn't finish them. Maybe the worst muffins we have ever had.

Looking to try something different my partner and I dined in for lunch at this cute French café.

The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome as we walked it. Surprisingly the cafe wasn’t very busy, so we were lucky to sit out back in the sun-lit room with city views.

Starting with drinks we ordered a flat white and a iced coffee. If you like your coffee strong then you’ll love it here. The iced coffee was a bit strong and bitter for my tasting but nothing a little sugar wouldn’t fix. We weren’t very hungry so we ordered the Lucia’s salad to share. The salad wasn’t a big portion but it was presented well and I liked that the beetroot wasn’t too overpowering and was sliced into small sticks – making it so much easier to eat. The combination of caramelised beetroot, pear, mesclun, baby spinach and blue cheese worked well together but I would have loved more cheese 😊

If we were to visit again we’d definitely try out their crepes and galettes as I think these are there signature dishes.

Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 4.5/5
Service: 5/5

Came for a late lunch therefore the cafe is fairly empty. We sat at the back by the massive windows looking at the back of Kingsland, i would say they did the place very neatly, however a little cold.

Ordered mushroom on toast with a side of scrambled eggs. Might say one of the best mushroom on toast i've ever tried! It was creamy, cheesy but still a bit firm.. such a ++

Bonus, the owner/chef was super friendly (considering it was the end of brunch service when we came, he must be exhausted!) and made us feel welcome.. let us stay for a little longer to admire the view :)

Will definitely recommend to others

A cute little french cafe in Kingsland with a well-lit sun room at the back with a view over Sandringham Road..

I loved the eggs benedict - perfectly poached eggs and delicious Hollandaise sauce.
The Galettes was an interesting twist on a conventional breakfast and was a generously sized meal!
We had a french pudding too made of blended croissants served with a dollop of cream. It was quite an understated dessert but nice.

A cool spot to hang out.. :)

Went yesterday and was very surprised at how good the food was, so delicious and flavorsome. Was so good that I took my granddaughter and daughter today, they really enjoyed the food too. Looking forward to going again.
