The service is friendly. The owner and employees are absolutely delightful.
This food costs more than Pizza Hut and Domino's. It's worth it. It blows Sal's out of the water easily.
How good is it? My best friend and I plan her trips up from Wellington around getting pizza from here so she can also bring back frozen slices to eat later, when she goes home.

Couldnāt resist getting the 18-inch despite the fact that there were only two of us orderingā¦ YUM YUM YUM! šāØ Deliciously crispy base with a lovely savoury flavour, a couple of charred patches with gorgeous crunch, and of course that cheesy perfection. Highly recommend for those craving a NY pizza fix!

Such a wonderful night out. We were celebrating a friends farewell and Gab and Tash really looked after us. The live music was absolutely incredible and wow, the pizzas were the best Iāve ever eaten. Iāll even go as far to say BEST PIZZA IN AUCKLAND CITY. Thanks guys! Such an absolute vibe. Would absolutely recommend !! Oh, and the side salad !!!!!! Oh my gosh, itās a must.

Best pizza Iāve had in Auckland, excellent use of their ingredients and they create a well balanced pie to sort your night out! The service as well is incredible. I felt a little embarrassed when I ordered a pizza with no cheese but the staff here, especially the owners, were extremely accomodating to my friends dietary needs and made us feel very welcome and comfortable, with no judgement at all. A great selection of drinks as well, and the atmosphere makes you feel like youāre in a bustling borough. I highly recommend their On Madison or Rocco pizzas, the perfect amount of salty and savoury! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for authentic NY-style pizza, the price is so worth it!!!

Been in NZ for more than 20 years and was in the NY and Philly before that. Pizzas in AKL have mostly been disappointing until I randomly tried Epolitoās. The crust was perfect! The sausages bring back NYC memories! And the XL size was really XL! Iām even having leftovers for breakfast and Iām still very happy with it. Hope you stat true with proper pizza making!

Ah yummy pizzas. We ordered godfather and loved it. We especially enjoyed the meatballs and the next time we are here we might order the classic meatball pizza. Friendly staff. Lovely little place.

Yummy Pizza. My favourite is God Father - love the topping (meat lover) with jalopinos mmmm. They are supper popular so busy often. They do get busy around dinner time so sometimes it might take up to 30 min but worth waiting time for sure. Plenty of parking around makes easy pick it up.

My daughters and I shared a delicious margherita pizza here on a cold winter's night. The pizza was absolutely delicious - the base was perfection and the sauce was rich and wonderful. The room was warm and inviting and so were the staff. Highly recommended.

I have been a sporadic customer of Epolito's for almost 10 years.Ā I would love to eat there more often, it's just they've never been in my neighborhood.<br/><br/>The only way to explain why you should come here is the extremely obvious one - it's the best pizza in the city and surely the entire country. A superb base and crust. Perfect tomato sauce. Delicious cheese. The toppings are all heartily perfect without being excessive. A half and half between Pepperoni and Home-made fennel sausage is my go to, but I'd eat this stuff from a dumpster with nothing but the tomato sauce left on top. Hell it's probably the best in Australasia and the Pacific.Ā Service has always been notably friendly and inviting. If you get butthurt because your pizza doesn't arrive instantly - you're an idiot and don't deserve food this good. Making pizza the right way takes time.Ā <br/><br/>I'm just here to boost the ridiculous 3.7 start rating and negate the idiotic reviews which sound like straight up baloney to me, given I've been eating this stuff on and off for almost 10 years.

These guys serve a good size classic New York style pizza. We ordered by phone and were advised a 30 minute wait plus they don't take credit cards. We arrived just before that and the service was friendly. We were advised again about no credit cards and told there was a short wait until they were ready. I was offered a drink during this time which was a smart service to offer.<br/>Pizzas were ready on time as mentioned and very nice to eat. <br/>Overall nice service, great pizzas, friendly staff but a little expensive yet OK at the frequency I'd eat them.

I have tried their pizza twice in the last month. First time was the lemon and artichoke with extra garlic, the second time was the three cheese with extra sausage and garlic.<br/>The pizza's are huge and the crust is super nice. My favourite of the two was the artichoke and lemon - they actually use whole slices of lemon and it's such a nice flavour. The three cheese with the extra sausage and garlic was tasty too<br/> The sausage is very flavoursome with a hint of spice, my only criticism I have is that I think this pizza would be 10 times better with a more punchier cheese. Not as punchy as gorgonzola or blue but maybe feta to give it that hint of salt. It's not bad as it is but pizza cheese and ricotta are both quite bland cheeses. <br/>I will definitely order from here again and look forward to trying their other flavours!

First time coming here and it was decision I did not regret. With a couple of friends we ordered the Sausage Pizza (NY Classics) and that cheese though, so stringy in texture and rich in flavour once the first bite is taken. It was that good and the sausages I loved the spiciness and juice from it too. Once you start chewing you can you can taste all the fusion of flavours. <br/><br/>The service here was fantastic, the cooking time for the pizza is what I was expecting. A bit long but that didn't really matter. As long as has the pizza, then the world would be fine :) <br/><br/>It's quite organized once you enter the place. The chairs and tables are neatly in place, although there are some tables that are quite close to each other. So for a big person like myself to go through that space where people are sitting may be a challenge. But in overall, such a great place for some great pizza.

Possibly the best pizzas I have ver experienced. I've been o Italy, New York etc, and these are right up there. The lemon and artichoke is amazing. These feel like they have been made with care - please keep it up!

Sal's pizza was my favourite pizza. After eating Epolito's, Sal's pizza now feels very "manufactured" for the masses (Pizza Hut came to mind though still much better than Pizza Hut). The topping side of Epolito's is soft and gooey while the bottom side is crisp while still remaining flexible. The crust of the dough was crisp on the outside while still moist enough on the inside. The cheese used on the pizza was so soft it feels like it melts in your mouth like cotton candy. Can't remember the exact taste of the cheese but I remember that I liked it. I ordered a half and half pizza. Half meatball and half sausage with mushroom and tomatoes on both sides. Both the meatballs and sausage tasted good The meatballs was salted enough with hints of onions and garlic. The sausage while good would not be something I woild order again as it had fennel inside which gives it a herbal- E liquorice taste ( I don't like that taste though I'm sure others might). My only complain was the pizza was a little spicy, it might be the sausage itself that was spicy or that there was pepper sprinkled on top.

Went for dinner on a balmy summer evening, it wasn't busy there about 4 other tables occupied around 12 people. <br/>Service was very slow and the pizza even slower. Some takeaway pizzas were being processed but not enough to warrant our wait of approx 50 -60 minutes! Our bums are on the seats so we should have been served first. A pizza doesn't take long to cook, so by 9.15 we are ravenous. <br/>The pizza was tasty and quite good but at $43.00 for xlarge and slow service a very long wait for pizza, we weren't so happy.

We've been here a few times and it was great....but when they have no pizza ingredients (at all!) at 8.15pm on a Friday night, you wouldn't go out of your way to bother! There's a lot of "ingredients suppliers" nearby for those desperate times surely?!

Pizzas from Epolito's are outstanding. The lemon, artichoke and parmesan pizza is one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Give this Grey Lynn Pizzeria a go. You won't be disappointed. Two very large pizzas are enough for five people.

We took our kids for a pre-rugby bite to eat at Epolitos and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The pizzas are fantastic, some of the best I've tasted and the staff were friendly and efficient. A great find and awesome to know they do take out too. We'll be back.

Decided to try epolitos! Very excited! Call up and ask for a pizza delivered! Despite saying they deliver, turns out they don't deliver. Thats ok, i can drive. The guy mumbles down the phone do I still want the order. I say yes and how long will it be? "Mumble mumble 15 minutes" I get there. No pizza. Guy decided that I didn't want it. New pizza wait time:25 minutes. No thanks. Would love to try this place but will have to dine in with a sticker on my forehead requesting a pizza next time. Bad customer service. Went to hells pizza down the road wait time: 10 minutes. Dealing with good customer service: priceless.

We have been on epolitos twice, both for pick ups. This is a very small place but they do a nice job. They make pizza on the same style than Sals but In my opinion they are a bit better.

It's taken about a year (and feels much longer!) For Epolito's to move from Onehunga to their new Richmond Road location, and it has been worth the wait. They still serve up the most delicious New York style pizzas with incredible flavour combinations, everything from the standard pepperoni to an underrated artichoke and lemon combination (East Side) on the most authentic base. Bonus: it's not unusual to walk past and see the cook twirling pizza dough through the air as they make the bases.<br/>Still the best pizza in New Zealand, worth the drive and the cost.
