Very friendly proprietor and staff. From the time I spent there, I figure it’s a local favourite. Coffee was superb. We didn’t try the menu this particular time but there is multiple things on it that I would choose - a point in my book.

If you want great coffee and amazing home made cakes, this little cafe is a must… blueberry scones and ginger cake are my weakness…. The lamb mince on toast is my favorite breakfast/lunch treat, and don’t get my started on their poke bowls, one word… yummy!

Best in Onehunga. Cute little cafe that serves excellent Allpress coffee, incredible poké bowls and tasty cafe fare. We had Mushrooms on toast with a poached egg and rocket with Parmesan sprinkle - really good and the egg was done perfectly. Also pictured is the poké bowl - so good I’ll definitely be back.

We were drawn to this place because they serve pokebowls - a popular Hawaiian cuisine, they do them well.
Coffee is good, not many places can do long blacks well.
Aside from pokebowls, they also have a brunch menu, and the french toast was really good. Although it's more like a dessert than a breakfast item, so it'll be a good one to share.

The BEST pancakes I have had so far in Auckland! My go-to spot to kill my pancake craving. Also funny watching cars trying to parallel park in front of the Cafe lol! Highly recommend!

Cute little place with great food. The Poke bowl was amazing!! The pastry as well as drinks also didn’t disappoint. Feel like I’ve found a little gem! Definitely coming back very soon to try something else out. Loving this place at first try!

A fantastic little cafe on onehanga mall. Good staff, fast service and food is very tasty and healthy. My favourite is their poke bowl, you can chose your base, protein, topping and sauce. They also have daily special. I once had their bacon soup and it was also delicious. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch

Just had a great breakfast hete - the Inidian Eggs & Vorn Beef Hash were so good.- very tasty. The cabinet food looked really good with lots of freshly baked options. Highly recommend Food-me-n-u Cafe!

Excellent café with great food. The corn beef hash browns with an egg on top were amazing. The scone was fluffy and heated through beautifully and coffee was great too. The service was natural, not forced or false, just good old fashion sincerely pleased to see you type service.

Food me-n-u is a tucked away little gem in Onehunga. We've sampled a few different things from the menu and they have all been delicious. Personal favourites are the North Indian Eggs and the Poke bowl which are super tasty alternatives to the regular café staples (which they also do exceedingly well). The baking is amazing and the cake/slice etc. portions are huge! I would also say that the Hot Cross buns I got from here are some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommended.

This use to be my go to place for salads and lunches however I'm now on a limited diet so could only eat certain bits of the salad so requested to the lady who served me to leave some bits out however I'm happy to pay the same and have a smaller salad. The lady said sorry we can't make that variation and that was it. So dissapointed you couldnt cater for a small change of menu. Won't be back as the lady was rude about it too.

Triple chocolate milk shake - donot order one from this place as it tasted like water & milo, paid $7.50 for it. Rang owners to give constructive feedback and unfortunately they were quite defensive & rude and not open to receive feedback. I order salmon poke from this place without fail and that has been never been a problem, always satisfying but they've lost a loyal customer today just from how they responded to my feedback.

Popped in here for lunch today. Friendly & quick service. I really enjoyed his seafood chowder & my wife enjoyed the cheese burger & fries, the highlight for my wife was the lovely strong Americano. It was a pleasant little surprise for us, as we’d been past quite a few times.

So love this use of a small space, Interior is tastefully done with original wood varnished floors, white wall and ceiling strip panels that draw your line of sight to the "air force" blue feature wall at the back. The floating wall shelves behind the counter provide depth. A great mix of old n new.<br/><br/>The owners have worked hard in taking this space from a ready roast palace to a hip cafe. Not bad as it's only opened 6 months. Chef n Front of house work well here. The girl (one half of the owners) behind the counter is a wonderful soul, just the right balance of social diplomacy even at 7am<br/><br/>I went for the ham omelette and a long black coffee. Coffee was good and hit the mark. The omelette had good amounts of filling, cheesy with generous amounts of ham, something else was in it I couldn't identify but it added more body to it. something like small amounts potato or cauliflower mash? It added texture and was simply wonderful

The gentrification of Onehunga has been interesting to observe because I have noticed the increase in hospitality establishments. Having been on my watchlists for awhile now was Food Menu, and I must say that Food Menu is a cool-chic space to grab a coffee or light brunch.<br/><br/>I loved how open and clean the place was it gives the feeling of comfort and relaxation. My friend and I opted to sit outside to enjoy some live Christian Rap music. I had the Strawberry on French Toast which was aesthetically stunning, I love it when people take pride and creativity into plating. <br/><br/>My friend ordered a potato hash with toast and egg? It probably had a sexier name but for the life of me, I just could not remember. He commented that the food tasty and he enjoyed his coffee.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Strawberries on French Toast? I don’t want to attempt to make up a name because I will probably butcher it, the dish is just aesthetically pleasing!<br/><br/>Overall Grade: A-

I wanted pancakes and I got my pancakes.. and brownies! Buttermilk pancakes with raspberry and all the dehydrated bits of fruit..It looked almost too pretty to eat..I over ordered but it was soo good. Might go again this weekend..or after pay day.. depending on the cravings<br/><br/>I tried their new menu..the pokè bowls.. I love the salmon bowl with half and half + everything on top! I tried the chicken but I prefer salmon...<br/><br/>#edit again.. went for brunch today and I saw they had their carrot cake... it is, the best carrot cake ever.. thick, moist and the frosting is not overly sweet. I wanted to have my cake to go but I ended up eating it at the cafe...Soo good 😍😍🥰
