First time in a Carl's Jr. and it was great. The service was good and the burgers tasted great. The patties were angus and tasted much better the the Mcdonalds angus burgers. Very clean and you you have free refils. Pleasently surprised! The burgers were served quick and were nicely made!

This place is just incredible! The service is pretty great, although I wish they had the specials written out somewhere instead of just reading them out. Sometimes the servers' accents are hard to understand and you miss out on the items. They should also have a system for keeping the door closed as it usually flies open - in windy North Beach, this can be annoying for diners. The small plates and specials are usually pretty great. I loved the scallops, mussel broth, and poke bowl. The chicken, curry noodles, and wasabi noodles were also amazing! Overall, I really like this place.

It's one of the biggest Carl's Jr. Branches here in New Zealand. The place is cool but the lights are a bit dim which makes it sleepy for people eating alone but not that it really matters. I ordered their combos and although it's taste are generic fast food burger taste, it's still good.

Had All Star Meal 2, famous star, value chicken, small fries and drink. Famous star was tasty but the chicken burger lacked some flavour. Fries were not crispy and very soggy.

There are many choices, but I found myself getting a Classic Carl meal and Chicken Tenders. The burger was full of flavour, and had a lovely meat patty, as always. The fries were delicious, and the chicken tenders were AMAZING!!! I recommend that each time you come here, you get the Chicken Tenders because they are a wonderful side! 🍔🍟

Ordered online the Classic Carl and criss cut fries. Very easy to order and can pay in advance. Can be made ready to pick up from 10mins. Classic Carl's patty is surprisingly juicy and the burger is nice and saucey, the criss cut fries are delicious and goes well with the burger. Such a cheap deal. You can get a cheaper value meal if you want. Service was friendly, efficient and quick.

This is a busy branch at the corner of IMAX building by the main entrance (previously Borders book shop). Love their Classic Burger and fries with the skin on. Also love The Big Carl when I am really hungry. A nice place to grab a bite to eat when you're in a hurry.

Went To this outlet on Monday 12th after the Def Leppard concert. There were a few people in there, and the place was awful. The staff kept messing up orders, one of which was mine. There were not enough staff to cope with the customers. One Lady got into a shouting match with the "manager" after her order was messed up a few times. I heard another bloke ask for his money back because it had been so long in coming. Our order was only for 2 burgers, The mini Halloween burger, which was absolutely dripping with fat, and the other was the Bacon Swiss Big Chicken. I asked for No onions on the chicken burger and the cashier said to me there is no onions on it. when it finally arrived it was loaded with onions, I took it back and they said they would fix it. 20 mins later I had had enough and just asked for my money back, to which they said it is ready now and that the cook had given me the wrong burger the first time. Also the toilets were locked and people could not use them as the staff would not open them. Would definitely not use this place again.

Came here yesterday morning for a healthy breakfast. Burger was thicc (Memphis bbq), raspberry-coke was good however the chips...were reheated from the day prior for sure. Been here a few times before and the chips taste more like deep fried salt with the aroma of potato. My blood pressure is quaking. Fix the chips and this place would be bomb 😁.

I love carls jnr but this branch disgusted me a little. I was at the counter and I saw a cockroach and I kinda got a little shocked that the cashier saw it too so he squashed it with those number cards you get given when you place an order. After we placed our order he gave us the same card he used to squash the cockroach.

This branch is ok at best. Got nothing to say about the place, it’s quiet, clean, and service was ok. The food though, was not. One of my orders of onion rings was kinda burnt which left a bitter taste at the end. Still quite a good place for me. 😁

The worst of all Carl's Jr outlet. Staff were not paying attention, not customer focused and unaccomodating. It was quiet but tables and chairs were not as sharp. Service took about 5-7 minutes of wait. Never ever go back...would pick some other cafes.

Carls Jr has nice options for combo and meals. The burgers are fresh and tasty as always. Fast service with cool music playing in background and plenty of space to hang out with friends. The place becomes noisy and sometimes dirty, however, $5(Now, $5.40) combo can have a favorable taste when you are hungry. Recommendation: French fries with Mayo.

Just got a take away for the All Star Meal; the chicken burger bum (bottom) had something powdery stuck to it (photo attached). Not something one can wipe off, but engrained inside. Had to throw away the whole sandwich, lucky for me didn't take a bite. For an international chain, it's completely outrageous and shocking to have such low quality standards. Never coming back.

You can say I wasn’t disappointed with the food what so ever! I loved the freshness of the buns on the burgers and the crispiness of the crisscut fries! But the waiting time for the food was appalling! We waited 25 mins for our meal and when we were going to get our order the table number given to us was absolutely useless as they just shouted it from the front of the room expecting us to cut through the line of people waiting for their food also!

on the better side of cheap fast food burger joints. what really sets Carl's jr apart from other surrounding cheap burger places is the refillable soft drink station - definitely not watered down soft drinks The burgers have a great flavour to them and recently this branch has implemented a student deals situation which is ideal for broke students the day before pay day has a tendency to get kinda dirty but only due to the huge amount of people coming in and out I do find that it pays to look out for particular deals as some burger + side add ons can become quite expensive. I try to stick to the advertised deals Love this branch, spacious for a place in town and close to lots of things

best carls jnr outlet in auckland. maybe the original location in south auckland is just as good, friendly staff quality food even though they are always packed. always get the lo carb version and lettuce leaves around the patties are always big fresh and juicy. the skin on fries have a unique texture and flavor, maybe different strain of potato.

Such a disappointing chicken burger. There was ONE piece of a small lettuce drenched in sauce and ONE TINY slice of tomato, which all practically didn't exist in the burger and all you could taste was a giant chicken patty. Is that what you guys call a burger? McDonalds even does better than you guys. I usually love Carl's jr burgers but this time, truly disappointing. Definitely would've complained but was in a rush so grabbed it to go.

Portabello Mushroom Burger: MOUTHWATERING. I couldnt say the best Burger in town but the burgers here are phenomenal. Some though have overwhelming flavors that you couldnt appreciate the patty anymore. But overall, loved their selection of burgers. The staff are okay. Fast but not very friendly. The burger place is big and shiny and clean. But the part is always full and crowded. May be thats because inly one guy behind the cash counter and so many people to give order. I didnot try majority of things for being NOT a beef eater. The chicken burger was too bland and was bot with best taste. The store is dirty, tables need a good sanitize and wipedown. There is also a funky wet smell (no not because of the rain.) Today of all days, it appears that the store has run out of fries and we were offered onion rings instead. We left quick smart. I wonder why my husband insists on eating at CJ's, that's two stores in Auckland with truly terrible service. I think we need to stick to CJ's Otahuhu only!!

Carl's Jr in Queen Street is average. Their food is made so quickly that it is not even good quality anymore. Sometimes too many people in the queue and only one cashier is operating. There is quite a lot of seats, although a lot of people just sit there to hang out and not order. They also have free wifi which is good, they should focus more on their food than making the food too quickly that sometimes the either forget an ingredient or it is not cooked too well.

Carl's junior burgers are definitely better than Burger King or McDonald's ones. Yes it is a bit pricey but everything is fresh and cooked carefully. The lettuce is fresh and the beef is genuine and big. Definitely try their milkshakes as they make those on the spot and they are delicious. My personal favourite is the Memphis burger but I wouldn't recommend the fries as those are not as crispy as those you would get at McDonald's.

The burgers here are overpriced and not great in taste. When I went there, the drinks tasted flat i.e. no flavour. The staff blamed it on the machines and offered no refund. The appropriate thing would be to refund me and apologise. But they didn't. Their service was average and nothing to rave on about. I'd prefer McDonalds over this.

There might be rumors about too much oil, too much fat or too much meat, but one thing for sure about Carl's Jr is that their burgers are tasty! Having been fed with mixed reviews about this popular American burger joint, I finally succumbed to their fried goodness by trying the Memphis BBQ thick burger today. Oh my it's MASSIVE! However the charbroiled beef patty was grilled near perfection-juicy and tender at the same time while the crispy onion strings and pulled pork just brought the burger to a new level! It was actually scrumptious although I have to admit it gets a bit sickening halfway as there is a lack of fresh vegetables that usually appear in burgers. The waiting time was also quite long when there weren't a lot of customers in store. Overall I would rate it 3.5 and probably will go back to try a different burger next time. 😊

Taste and portion sizes are definitely better than BK and Maccas but then again youre paying more bucks for it. I like their specialty burgers and I usually like to go for their Teriyaki or Chicken&Bacon burgers and shakes. I brought my brother here today and a few times before that coz he looves Carls and we usually like to come here together. But its only been 2 or 3 times or so in the past coz although their menu is tasty, its also jam packed full of fat and calories and youre likely to feel a little groggy afterwards.. The staff have always been really lovely! I haven't been to any of the other branches but the cleanliness and maintenance of the Queen St joint could be a loot better!! I reckon the portion sizes used to be quite a bit more upsized as well but hmmm..Overall its good for big appetites n for something different from your average burger.

I came here at 7pm and wasn't very impressed with the cleanliness of the whole establishment. Almost every table that wasn't occupied by people was covered in rubbish from previous diners. While I do believe it is common courtesy for diners to dispose of their own rubbish at takeaway joints, it should also be the responsibility of staff to make sure tables are cleared as soon as possible, if diners happen to leave without clearing their own mess. The quality of food was consistent with other Carl's Jr branches, however I don't think the store tidiness was up to standard. I did not see any bussers on the floor which could have been part of the issue.

Only ever tried Carl's Jnr once because of the hype from friends (again we don't have them over in west Aussie). Got a cheeseburger, good but not amazing. Would try their dessert items not sure if I would go back for the main menu. Better than BK in my opinion for fast food.

I absolutely love their criss cut nachos!! They are not always advertised but I 10/10 recommend you to ask for it and try it! Its like nachos with criss cut fries and jalapeños. So irresistible! Went to Carls Jr for the first time last night. Food was quite tasty (as fast food goes) - the chips were actually really good. The staff were friendly. But unfortunately the restaurant wasn't overly clean - the tables and seats were a bit sticky and the toilets were pretty nasty.

I can only rate this place in comparison to other fast food chains. Talking strictly fast food, Carls Jr is by far my favourite within the Auckland City area. The staff are friendly, the store is generally pretty clean and you don't need to wait long for your food to be ready. The fact that the food is brought to you at your table is a nice touch that isn't often seen in most fast food chains. As far as the food goes, I have eaten here a handful of times and can say it has always been tasty and enjoyable. The presentation of the food can sometimes be sloppy but again I don't expect much from a fast food chain. Over all enjoy eating here and will continue to go back.

I have been to a couple of other branches in Auckland and they were rather disappointing. However I wanted to give the Queen St branch ago and to my surprise it was ok. Spotlessly clean, very friendly service and while it did take for my burger to arrive. It was fresh, tasty and worth the wait. Won't rush back but I also won't avoid if caught short for a burger.

I had read a review of Carl's Jr. in the past but just having spent Easter weekend in Auckland decided to visit after a movie at the Queen St branch and yes it was absolutely rubbish, the burger was cool, tables not cleared and no toilet paper in toilets. The experience was terrible to the extent of walking out without finishing my meal, will stay with Burger King.

Yes it had that calorie-bomb of satisfaction. Yes the staff were friendly. But ethically it is horrible. None of the packaging seems to be from recycled materials - even mcdonalds does that. You see plastic straws and plasticated cups lying around the streets. Ick. Big ups to the staff who all have a great energy, and it's cool that you've got work, and I'm sure they treat you alright. Honestly what a joke. I went there for the first time with kids after a movie just to try it, and after a 25 minute wait for our order of take out kids meals we left,minus our food or money, along with a fair few customers not bothering to wait around for who knows how much longer for fast food! Went to the Queen Street branch for the second time today hungry paid for a COMBO and got coke drink and it was awful, tried fanta same. I brought it to the attention of the staff member. I spent half an hour before leaving the restaurant I tried to get a drink again. It was awful, informed the staff. Paid for a combo. In spite of informing the staff just got a burger and chips. They got the money I did not get the deal.

Was reading GILES C.'s review and really wanted to give my opinion also. I have tried Carl's Jr multiple times in the past few years, and have tried the queen st store 5 times since it has opened last month. Let's start from the walk-in feel of the store, it is correct the line is long, however the staff do process orders quite fast. It is a newly open store and does attract a large crowd. Giles C. did mention the burgers do taste like burger king, I do agree with this, however the burgers definitely are not dry. The only burgers that do taste like BK are the plain standard burgers. If you are more adventurous with your burger choosing you will not have this BK dilemma. I do recommended ordering the more unique flavors, and the thick burgers especially if you are a person with a large appetite. Overall, it is my favorite fastfood store on Queen St, followed by White Lady. Service: 4/5 Wait time: 5/5 Environment: 5/5 Food Quality and taste: 4/5 Price range: $10+ pp

Carls Jr is a litle bit different from your typical fast food burger joint. The prices are a bit higher, the wait is a bit longer, but the portions are much larger. This particular Carls Jr is always busy and is open till late which makes it a great place for the drunken snack. However, since it does get a lot of people it typically isn't very clean meaning you are probably going to have to clear up the mess on the table yourself before you can eat at it. Other than that it is a decent place to eat at, especially if you're getting bored of the usual maccas or BK burgers.
