We were a group of 17 people and we asked for a special breakfast spread at a private table set for us only. The food and coffe was awesome, the service very friendly and catering to all our whims. While this is part of a chain, this particular location is amazing due to the great staff; especially the manager Uddhav. Each morning (for four mornings), Uddav has aided us in starting off our day with healthy food that tastes scrumptious. (My wife & I are staying at a nearby hotel.) Even when it gets busy, the food arrived promptly & our orders were always perfectly handled. A great start to our very first ever days in New Zealand! Thank you Uddhav for creating a top rate breakfast cafe!

My husband and I are visiting from Vancouver Canada and we have had our flat whites at the Coffee Club on Wyndham every day because of the very friendly service by the staff and owner Uddhav. The menu is varied and we really enjoyed the superb breakfast.

Great little cafe with smoked salmon eggs Benedict and spinach. Also loved the little hash browns bacon poached egg and guacamole McMuffin thing. Forget about the sausage links unless you want an overpriced hot dog.

I feel so bad for these guys. They make the most amazing coffee for me every day. They make awesome food every time I go. But they’re under new management, and are plagued by the bad reviews the old management received. They are honestly so amazing, so polite and kind. The bad reviews aren’t relevant anymore but still affect them. If anyone could help them out, give them a try. And if you like them, give them a good review because they deserve it. I go there most mornings and they are wonderful every time. Know my order as soon as I walk through the door. Have nice friendly conversation with me. I really feel looked after and to me, that’s excellent management. Big props to them

Awesome! Just had an Angus Burger, it was absolutely delicious. Coffee clubs are usually holding the mark, but this is definitely my favorite now. Especially, since the management has changed, the new guys are very friendly and helpful, perfect location for a quiet lunch in a bussing city center. Recommend!

Popped in for a spot of lunch while visiting Auckland, ordered the fish and chips and it was the best fish and chips I've ever eaten! The portion sizes were fab and well worth paying for! Great service and friendly staff!

Not at all impressed - we came for brunch before heading off shopping for the day and I ordered the French Toast with Banana from the blackboard menu outside. Unfortunately the cashier struggled significantly with the English language and did not understand my request for a side of bacon AND the banana as per the menu - my toast came to the table without any banana on it at all, and it was just slightly stale toasted bread smothered in butter and maple syrup - definitely not any resemblance to French toast! Given the language barrier I decided not to bother complaining and ended up leaving half of my meal. It was below average to say the least. My friend had asked for no butter on her bread and got it smothered in butter too so she couldn't eat it at all. Really disappointed with the food quality and the fact that we couldn't make ourselves understood which affected our order. Won't be back. There are other Coffee Clubs offering much nicer, fresher food than this one.

Visited this morning as we were staying in the city, kids pancakes for Miss 7 and eggs plus coffee for me. Food & coffee nice with staff friendly enough but need to have more on as very busy being a public holiday. Staff looking rushed & lots of yelling over an extremely loud frappe machine/blender ! This is more of a observation than a complaint but if you are going to add a holiday surcharge then you should advertise the fact & train staff to give the itemised receipt back to the customer. Also please stop playing Christmas songs �

My partner and I are very regular coffee club patrons. We popped in to this one for a coffee and we were highly very disappointed.. worst worst coffee club experience and remember to check your change as we were ripped off by the Indian girl who served us and refused to give us our correct change back. Coffee was awful and the place was completely empty which suggests our experience was not dissimilar to others �

My first and last time coming here. There was only two staff members working. The food was cold, my steak sandwich was mainly fat which meant i wasn't able to eat half of my meal. None of the tables were cleared & it was messy. There was Definitely a lack of staff which is why everything was so slow & bad. Better fix this asap, because there was 3 complaints in the 40 minutes we were here.

Food was very good. Staff however, rude! Not to me or guests but in their manners toward each other around guests... shouting back and forth through place to each other in a different language, spent most of the time on their phones... we sat for 15 mins before I had to ask if they took our orders or we went to counter to order, as the last time I visted coffee club they brought me a menu and took my order. Seemed very disorganised considering there was actually about 5 staff members and only 3 customers!! Yes the Barusta didn't seem to know what she was doing so possibly New but nobody helped her out. The thick shake was as runny as water not great taste. As a visitor to the country After such good previous experiences at other coffee clubs this 1 let the team down.

Bacon, egg, tomato and toast breakfast is usually good, while the medium long black taste pretty well to start your day with. Staff is quite polite, never have to wait long to get your breakfast. Two stars rating is based on the atmosphere. Music should drastically improve! Once I've been listening for two hours to Adele, while today ALL AND ONLY I hear is Taylor Swift, with songs on repeat. Are you playing a YouTube playlist incl. some video clips or so? The staff are probably big fans of Adele and Taylor Swift but think about your guests enjoying their coffee and trying to get some work done! It would be a reason for me not to come back. Fix your music playlist/variety and I would probably give you 3 or 4 stars.

Here for breakfast because coffee club is always usually amazing and consistent but today I was disappointed. Firstly, you have no way near enough staff. The barista was trying to make coffees whilst serving customers and running food (I think she's relatively new as well because she didn't know the menu to good) I ordered the light breakfast without cheese and fresh tomato instead of grilled and my friend ordered the calamari which they came out to tell us there was none left so we changed to the parmigiana and I asked the man if I could have my eggs scrambled which he said they couldn't? Don't understand that When my meal came out I still hadn't gotten my coffee but I had both cheese and grilled tomato so they took it back and my friend had finished his meal before I even got mine back again. The food was very sloppy as well. Won't be back.

We came in and there was about two clean tables in the first half of the cafe. Couldn't see down the back. There were two guys working in the front of house & I saw one chef. We ordered our breakfast & coffee which was fast service. BUT ... what a mess. The tables that had been used were still sitting with dirty dishes coffee cups and just messy. It was so hot in here - as the air con was turned off. Been an hour and nothing has changed. What a waste of a really nice coffee house.

Stopped in because we were in a hurry ordered BLT and nachos takeaway. The BLT wasn't toasted properly and bacon wasn't cooked, asked for no chilli jam but they put it on anyway and they forgot the side of chips it's meant to come with. Nachos takeaway were the smallest serving I've ever seen. Never again.

Mango frappe = watery slight fruit tasting disappointment; Espresso coffee was drinkable. Edit: Gotta give the staff credit they tried to rectify the situation, talked to the manager about a change to the recipe of the frappe. Have to say I can't fault the customer service.

The hot mocha was not hot...also the nachos we ordered was half burnt.. Looked like they had just mixed avo and cream on top without any good taste n didn't look fresh.. We had d same dish at the coffee club on Victoria street and it was soo good.. Would definitely not recommend this place

Cheap breakfast! we went in for breakfast as they had $10 breakfast specials on the board. We ordered the big breakfast and bacon & eggs on toast. The big breakfast is a bargain for sure, not so much the bacon & eggs dish. Presentation is like a home meal. Their music was interesting but it got annoying when we found out that it's just one song playing on repeat. Service was good. The place is located next to ibis accommodation on Wyndham st, or you can even enter through one end of Durham lane.

I ordered one flat white with almond milk but It tastes rubber and was so expensive... i wondered why i should pay 6 dollar for one medium size of coffee... I wouldn’t recommend this cafe for almond milk coffee at least

Usually, The coffee club is where i would have my brunch. But on rainy day in Auckland all you want is food delivered. Got these pancakes and some sides, well does not looking appealing but you cant expect a beautifully plated meal in a takeaway box. But the taste of the pancakes just made me gag with just one or two bites down my first pancake. All I am left with is some edible hash browns, and buttered toasts. Really unhappy.

I always try to be positive when I do reviews but there was actually not one thing positive about this place! The food here is ridiculously bad, and the service is even worse. The eggs Benedict was the worst I’ve ever had. The weird thing is the hollandise sauce tasted like curry.. Whatever you do, just don’t order this. The club sandwich was terrible as well.. the bread was so stale. The people who work here make you feel so uncomfortable and are so rude and slack. They didn’t offer knives or folks.. and when I asked for water they bought one glass even though there were a number of us. The place was also dark and dirty.. Also other customers were complaining and when we were there, so this is obviously a very common experience here. I seriously don’t know how they are still open. Sorry to be super negative but my experience was super negative sooo..

Very slow service. Not enough staff working. How can there be only one person in the kitche for breakfast? Took so long for my order to come... I ordered their special $10 french toast. Very sad looking. Thin slices of bread and banana drizzled with maple syrup. I could definirely spend $10 on something better.

So a lazy Sunday I ordered my favoast Eggs Benedict. I was really looking forward to eat it in one go. I go down pick up the order,come back home keep it on table with mouth full of water and big eyes ready to eat it. A soon as I opened it looked like disaster. The eggs were over cooked. The main thing of bene was not done the way it should be. There was no oozing yolk. What a sad waste of my money and joy. Called the manager and the lady was so good in not listening, I literally dropped the call. Anyways, really sad and waste of time money and emotional. Refer to pictures please.

3 stars for drink alone. Good soy mocha. Sweet & fluffy. A little on the warm side rather than hot. not impressed with service. Thought staff were quite rude, talking very loudly across the cafe to one another, watching/ laughing at videos on her phone (with no headphones) in the main dining area.

I had an extremely horrible and insulted experience in this store today. Nightmare. I visited the store to use a restroom but on my way out a lady employee who acted like a manager refused to let me out. She demanded to make a purchase. I agreed. During the payment her tone was hostile, unfriendly and insulting. She told me that she “knew” that I was trying to “trick” her. I asked her to stop insulting me and in response she started shouting at me. She told me that she can do (acting like) this because that store is her property. During all that time few customers that were in the shop stoped talking and looked at us stunned. This was a terrible service. I know that they only have a franchise and their actions damage the brand. However, to tolerate such actions of a manager of one of your stores means that it’s a normal behaviour for you. I am generally satisfied with the other shops but this one. I normally will not give a bad review to anyone since I know it’s important to them, but I really want to tell other customers: check out other reviews before you chose this store! I don’t even want to pass that street anymore. Take a look of the cake they forced me to buy, dry and tough. It seems like it was sitting there for several days already. Not fresh at all!!

Really unfriendly staff ,was not greeted with a smile or a simple “hi” but the staff members just stood there. I ordered a red velvet cake and hot chocolate to have there and the waiter asked if it’s takeaway and I said to have here . I sat down by a dirty table , and my food and drink arrived and the drink was in a takeaway cup ? The cake was very dry and was super dissatisfied, the staff didn’t even bother to take away the dirty dishes off my table

I ordered a Lemon Pepper Calamari, the salad covered half the plate, the calamari a handful n chips. The calamari tasted rubbery as compared to the Lemon Pepper Calamari at the Coffee Club,Albany or Browns Bay. Really disappointed....

Just bang next to Ibis, so we were so hungry that we had to hit the closest place. Manned by well mannered girls, efficient and ready to help. Fish and chips: The chips were really good but the fish was dripping oil. Nice dish. The chicken burger was pretty huge but nice and juicy. Scored higher than the former. Hot chocolate was served luke warm but great on taste.

The customer service here is pathetic. The walnut hot chocolate was disgusting. It just had a lot of sugar, couldnt drink it beyond two sips...plus i never asked for it to be served in takeaway cups, i guess the staff are too lazy to wash their dishes, considering that there is 0 number of customers in this cafe. Horrible. Not surprised that i was the only customer there. Never coming back here again. The only ones who are bound to like this place are the owner and the staff. The guy with the slight beard at the counter has no clue about basic cafe etiquettes... Any one can open a franchise but if you have pathetic people who run it, its a terrible loss to the business. Very disappointed with todays experience.

The calamari looks like a wet soggy mess, it's as if after they deep fried it they dunked it in oil 10 times. They also got my friend's hot chocolate order wrong the first time but at least they replaced it. I will never come back to this particular coffee club again.

Usually big chains have deals keeping good service and food. That's not the case of The Coffee Club, at least at Wyndham Street branch. Besides the good variety of options for breakfast, lunch and snacks, they have a great customer service. I had a caramel cheesecake there. Was not the best one I've ever had, but it was quite good, and the price was really fair.

If I am in no mood to experiment with my coffee and I am looking for some nice food with good ambiance, I know I just need to find a Coffee Club in close proximity. The place is one of my favorites. The ambiance is always good, with fresh aroma of coffee. They stock a wide range of beverage options alongside some alcohol options too. As soon as you seat yourself, you will spend some time with the menu as they have so much to offer in food. I always end up ordering more than what I want. The food doesn't take time to come to your table. The staff is always friendly and they come back every now and then to seek your feedback on the meal and if we need anything. The presentation of the food is above average, but the portion size is overwhelming. They have good sandwich options, open grills, pizzas etc. Wedges with sour creme, fish and chips are my personal favorite here. I believe Coffee Club scores more than any other coffee joint on my list. I will any day choose Coffee Club over any other, if given an option.
