The food from Thip Thai is always packed with flavour and utterly delicious. The portion sizes are generous. I have only ordered takeaways and the service was spot on with their timing. Looking forward to dining in one day!

Love the food, have been their customers for years. Takeaway orders served fast and always on time. Fabulous food, lovely staff. The parking for pick up is not the best, but pretty much always have a spot on Friday-Saturday nights. I have never stayed for dine-in but saw people quite frequently arranging big dinners with their BYO.

Booked for seven people at seven o'clock with short notice. Table was ready and well laid out. Service was efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and tasty, spicy was medium when ordered, but not much spice at all. Food was fairly quick, about 20 minute wait from order. Pricing was very reasonable and BYO as well. Will go back there again.

I've been to a few Thai places and I would have to say this is thee best... flavor, great quantity, nice service, gotta say this is my favorite Thai restaurant ☺️ This dish is called Medium(heat) Chicken Pad Ped with plain white rice.

Ordered beef yellow curry mild to medium spice. Totally delicious. Only complaint is small portion of rice. Had to add extra rice to order. If dining in, rice is bottomless. Would appreciate more rice but as I said. Really delicious.

Thip Thai food is absolutely divine, their curry’s are super flavourful and delicious at an affordable price. 100% would recommend giving Thip Thai a try as I’ve been here consistently for over 7 years and have never been disappointed! 100% would recommend

Had a beautiful takeaway meal tonight. Got the peanut stir fry with chicken, cooked perfectly with a great amount of peanuts and flavour. Have always loved Thip Thai!

Lovely food as always. We go here for a wedding anniversary, sometimes with friends. They always have nice food, well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately they rarely have the flaming whole fish anymore or dessert but we understand and don't hold that against them.

I go here all the time it's my one place that I go to for a Thai meal the friendly staff that serve you I always helpful and dressed in these very tight tight dresses I don't know how they walk but it's a great little place you can bring your family here and the food is good as well as a matter of fact that's what I'm getting from Uber tonight yummy

Nice food. Reasonable selection. We normally get takeaways. The menu says they charge for extra rice but this was not enforced, and it was also given to my daughter who was just having nibbles off other plates.

Quiet place, nice service. Decent food at reasonable prices. Thip Thai only offers an alcohol free beer alongside soft drinks but BYO is encouraged. 120 minutes parking is available outside.

Ordered on uber eats for this place. Quite expensive for a small portion. Small container was $17 and wasn’t the best pad Thai. Curry puffs were good but they were the highlight. Overall average and expensive.

Clean place and accommodating staff. If quite busy, food might take a while to come but is understandable. Flavoursome and delicious food however I find that it is a small portion. The stir fried vegetables with chicken does not contain a lot of vegetable in them for the price of $16. Overall, delicious food and will still come back or order takeaway. Thank you.

Been here once with my partner.. we are big Thai fans.. service was good and friendly.. we got takeaway.. didn’t have too long to wait for our food.. I got pad med ma muang (cashew stir fry) and my partner got gang penang.. both were delicious.. enjoyed the dishes very much.. would definitely be back..

We have only ever had Uber Eats delivery but every single time it has been delicious! Their curries are really nice and all meals are quite well priced. Good sized meals too! Would recommend eating here if you feel like some nice Thai food.

Great food and atmosphere and I am a Loyal customer. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family but I recommend coming on Tuesday-Friday if you want to eat there but if you want takeout come on Saturday-Sunday.

We've only ever had their curries and they are consistent in quality with each one we devour. So tasty and full of flavour, I love love loooove the strong taste of coconut milk and spices. The staff are really friendly and helpful too and always looking presentable in traditional Thai attire.

Was invited out to dinner to this restaurant last night. Have heard great reviews from family and was excited to try something new. The restaurant upstairs was cosy but had great ambience. As there was a group of us we got to try out a few different dishes. For appetizers we had Toong Toong (filled money bags) and Peek Gai Tord (deep fried marinated chicken). Great tasting starters. For mains we had Karw Pad Chicken, Pad Thai Pork and another dish I can't remember the name of. The Karw Pad Chicken was definitely my favourite. Overwell, extremely happy with the food and service. I look forward to eating here again. Great little local restaurant.

I went there with high hopes after reading such good reviews. Was really sad after the experience. Did take away of Pad Thai and spring rolls. The chicken was dry, the noodles flavorless. The only saving grace were the spring rolls which weren't the best either. Gonna stick to Tana Thai I suppose.

Another West Auckland-based restaurant my NZ family and I are fans of. They have great food and the taste is consistent, even when you choose the same item over and over again. The decor is unmistakably Thai, with patterned tablecloths in each table and wall frames depicting Thai elephants and other aspects of their unique culture. They change these tablecloths every time a guest dines in their restaurant, which is great. Mum and I had veggies, lamb, and oyster sauce on a sizzling plate, while Dad had seafood curry with veggies. I just forgot the exact names of these menu items. They serve rice with every main, and how they do it is that one of the ladies would walk around and ask diners if they want more rice. And it is as unlimited as you want at no extra cost. The lady servers are always friendly and they know exactly what you want, especially when you want to bring the rest of the food home as takeaway. They always add rice in the takeaway box, and that is a big plus for me. They also offer takeaway options, and I always see patrons coming in, waiting for their food items in one corner with a few chairs nearest the counter. We are always coming back here few times a year, and hopefully when you get a chance to dine here, you will feel as satisfied as we are every time.

TOTAL NOMS. These guys make a mean Thai green curry! Grea food, good service and REALLY accommodating for large groups. It's a small place though so would advise that you book ahead rather than just turn up, as chances are they will be full.

I can't understand the glowing reviews here. Auckland has dozens of great little suburban Thai restaurants, and this would surely rate among the poorest of them. It does have a nice family atmosphere among the staff and, while sterile, the restaurant itself is bright and clean (up a steep flight of stairs). But the food is quite poor. There were four of us in our party and just one dish reached a decent standard - the chicken larb. It was nice and tasty, with a gentle chilli edge. But the remainder - the least said about them the better. The curries (mussaman and Penang) were bland and tasteless. No zing whatsoever. Very insipid - like the two stir fries. We won't be back and people who think this place is outstanding need to get out a bit more!

Great food, well priced, seems authentic. We frequent this restaurant for takeaways on a frequent basis for the value and quality of the food. We have eaten at the restaurant on occasion. It's very clean and tidy but not quite an intimate dining experience. However it's not priced in that market so it's more than adequate. Very well heated though and they tend to cater very well for large groups

I love Thai food and this is the best Thai I have ever eaten! The atmosphere is simple and I wish the lighting was a bit more intimate but the food was exceptional. Their roti is crisp and light and melts in your mouth and the duck and cashew curry and green curry were extraordinarily good as was the chicken satay. I was blown away, and I am not exaggerating.

My partner & I have only eaten here once but are VERY keen to go back, we only discovered it 1 week ago and went due to the reviews on menu mania. They don't disappoint! I am gluten free and when I told them they understood and were able to tell me exactly what I could eat. For Thai this is very good, many places don't understand. Beyond that it was delicious! Had leftovers to take home as the portions are so generous! Book as it is small and popular! I'll be going back very soon!

I've been eating at Thip Thai for 6 months now. The food is delicious and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We have only got take aways but I wouldn't be opposed to eating in every now and again. Their prices are very reasonable. The decor is simple but clean. Would definitely recommend Thip Thai with confidence.

This is the real deal - by far the best Thai we've ever had in NZ. I've lost count of the number of times we've eaten at Thip Thai - we have never been disappointed. I've been going to Thip thai for 11 years and Im very selective about who I take there . . . . no one does a curry puff like theirs! the sauce is unique ,yellow curry amazing consistency over 11 years is unbelievable!!!!! supreme service ,gentle well mannered staff best thai in Auckland-if they were in central auckland it wold be the talk of the town!!!! bravo!! cant wait to eat their tonight!!

Sweet little BYO restaurant with a good selection of main dishes. We both had entrees, mains and a soft drink each - a total of $57. My thai green prawn curry was delicious, with a generous helping of succulent king prawns... would definitely re-visit.

Great Thai restaurant, my family and i have been coming here for many many years, and will do for years to come. Not much to look at but the food and service us awesome. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Place is compact and always quite busy. We also get takeaway from her often, which is affordable and tastes great.
