I ordered a burrito for takeaway and they had run out of the tomatoes and the trizego sauce and without me asking the excellent staff on shift cut up a tomato for me and make their own sauce that tasted the exact same for my burrito. 10/10 delicious and the staff are always so friendly and wonderful.

Best burrito place in the country. Me and my family love Mexican food. We have been to a lot of Mexican places but Zambrero Albany is our all time favourite. I go there 2-3 times a week. Not to forget, we live in East Tamaki Heights and we drive all the way to the shore to eat at this restaurant. Friendly, polite and welcoming team. See you guys on the weekend. 😀🤤🌯🌮🥙

Tried this place and food first time yesterday. The staff was very friendly and patient. Explained the dishes and the ingredients patiently. The place was clean and hygienic. Very good customer service and the food was handled neatly. No filthy stuffing or overloading ingredients popping out of the shell/burrito. Will certainly visit again and recommend.

Popped in for Mexican. Didn't know the restaurant and the lady was very happy to ask me a few questions and help me chose the best meal. Good value for money. Burito- Portion perhaps even a bit too large, but thanks for a great meal, which I consumed in the restaurant.

Good priced Mexican food either available as takeaway or eat in. You can pick and choose what your meats,vegetables and sauces to give you what you want. Beer is also available to wash it down as well as the standard soft drinks and water options. Staff was friendly and ensured I was aware about any potential allergy issues which was appreciated. Well worth a stop by for a quick bite to eat.

Excellent for a takeaway Mexican. Love their philanthropic stance ( buy a meal donate a meal) . Being plant-based I am well-catered to and enjoy so much - our favs are soft tacos, with extra beans, vegan cheese and sour cream extra sauces, guac and salsa - two tacos give me two meals with some shared corn chips and dips. Love the powerbowl with black rice too. Recently ordered from a more expensive sit-down restaurant and did not enjoy it ( or the far more expensive price) as much as Zambreros - Just be nice to add some mushrooms + beans to the Quesadillas or powerbowl etc.

Rating- 2.5⭐️. We ordered the 2x classic burrito bowl, one with Spiced cauliflower and the other with chicken. $13.50 each. Unfortunately the portion sizes were very small. We got a 2 for 1 deal, however I would have been very upset if I had to pay $27 for these. We ordered online and were disappointed to find they had forgotten to add the jalapeños to both dishes and had also forgotten to leave out the sour cream at our request. In saying that, the staff were very friendly and the food was fresh.

Only reason I don’t give them a 5 star is because their online system isn’t good. Ordered online & when I got there it hadn’t gone through, so I had to wait a little longer for them to make it. <br/>Good value for the money - generous amounts even though I notice they give a LOT of sour cream not much other sauce but still good! 👏🏽

Favourite burrito joint. Staff are always friendly, and definitely aren't stingy with the servings of meat and salads. The rice is very soft and fragrant which is my favorite part. I always go for the classic chicken burrito with all the salads, verde and basilo sauces.

Had the IQ bowl. So fresh and full of flavour and nutritious ingredients! We were waiting for a little while because there were only 2 staff but food was worth the wait :)

Ordered online half an hour in advanced, when came to collect order the server rudely tells me to stand somewhere else because he hasn't started making my order yet- which I am on lunch break so do not have time to wait and there was no one else even in the store so clearly it wasn't busy. I am a loyal zambrero customer and enjoy the food but will not be coming back after this experience.

Food is nice but the place was dirty and containers holding ingredients very messy as well. The person at the counter didn't fold the burrito correctly so it went everywhere.

The food was quite nice, but some of the ingredients looked a little bit old and funky. The taste was quite delicious but the service was average. I understand that it was half an hour before closing but a smile or manners don't hurt. Was just very hyped up to try this place as I love my burritos, but was a little disappointed. Will definitely try again though :)

Love this place! My new favourite healthy place to go for sure. I had the classic bowl with chicken and it was do delicious. The girls working were super nice as well and gave us samples to try. Defiantly recommend coming here if you love Mexican food!
