Went here for with friends for the bottomless brunch, was not disappointed at all. Great service even though only 2 waitresses on and they were flat out busy they didn't stop smiling and were very polite and looked after us amazingly, thankyou. Great drink options very generous compared to other establishments bottomless brunch deals. Food was fairly average but hey we weren't really there for food 🀣 . Would recommend anytime. Great value for $. πŸ‘πŸ‘

The free WiFi and parking are such a blessing. The staff is quite pleasant, and the coffee is always great and fresh. Anyone looking for a fantastic cup of coffee and a welcoming environment should definitely check out this cafe, in my opinion!!

I adore this cafe so much! They have fantastic WiFi and make parking very simple. The coffee is also consistently good. Anyone searching for a fantastic spot to unwind and work would do well to check out this cafe, in my opinion!!!

One of the greatest in town is this cafe and bar. The setting is excellent and cozy. They offer a wide variety of delicious foods, beverages, desserts, and more. We all enjoyed their food a lot!!!!

I adore this cafe so much! They provide free WiFi and parking, which is really useful for me. Here, I don't have to worry about anything and may work or study for hours. The cost of the meals and beverages is likewise fair!!!!

Only stopped for coffee, so couldn't rate food. Only a block away from great north road, but felt quiet & relaxing. Would be a cool spot for a drink in the evening.

This was the best cafe! We are traveling to NZ from the states, and they were so friendly. We had to use their phone to make a reservation and the staff or owner was so kind. Wish I lived in the area, because this would definitely be a staple stop for us ❀️

Now under new management .... and they’ve done a great job The staff are excellent .... I didn’t think the food could get better, but it has ...and they’ve updated the place with new chairs .... and the new copper cutlery is cool .... well done! The food and the coffee are great ..... this is my regular ... I come here most Saturday's before I take the dog to the Dod Park (Western Park) up the road .... they are so dog friendly, they even cut his sausage up and serve it in a little container .... recommend this place .... try it .... you'll like it

I tried the bottomless brunch, I thought it was more about the food, but it's more about the drinks, you only get 2 hours and you can keep drinking but only order food once. Overall it was good, the Farmer breakfast was kind of disappointing but the Moroccan chicken was good. The place was crowded when I went, so the food took almost 1hour. It's a good experience overall

Was there for a birthday party. The food was nice and so was the atmosphere. The food was quite fancy and I'm sure some people such as kids wouldn't like a lot of the menu.

Wonderful cafe, staff are friendly and attentive, cosy deco, relaxing environment, good to have coffee catch up with friends or coffee meeting with clients. Food is wonderful, nicely present, quality is great, I had creamy mushroom add chorizo, very yummy, creamy just right, good warm food for winter

We came for bottomless dinner it was awesome nice place nice and cozy but the food id rate it out of 10 probably a 2 but still loved the place the drinks were very strong but did the job just a little advice use need to equal out the alcohol and the mix so the alcohol isn't to over powering and makes the drinks taste a bit 🀒 we like to drink to enjoy our drinks not want to spew the drinks hahahha but overall loved the place tho πŸ₯° thank u for having us and giving a good experience πŸ’ž wouldn't come back but nice cozy place

The cocktails were fantastic, and the bartenders were incredibly pleasant. I'll surely return here in the future!!!

Their eggs bene is famous, and with good reason! The mushroom bene was awesome! And the service was fantastic. Can't wait to go back and try the garden breakfast. So good to have decent vegetarian options at a good price.

We visited this cute cafe couple of weeks ago located in Grey Lynn, super close to Ponsonby Road. @ohsocafe has really cute interior and their staff is super friendly. We got their🍞 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝑻𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕 with bacon and π‘¬π’ˆπ’ˆπ’” π‘©π’†π’π’†π’…π’Šπ’„π’• with πŸ„mushrooms. My ice coffee came in a wine glass

𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝑻𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕 was soft and great with the🍌 banana. Perfect sweetness not too overwhelming. π‘¬π’ˆπ’ˆπ’” π‘©π’†π’π’†π’…π’Šπ’„π’• came with πŸ₯”mashed potatoes as a base which was a bit odd for me. Personally not a big fan off mashed potatoes and this one was a bit dry unfortunately

I recently had the pleasure of co-hosting a birthday party at this fantastic venue. The staff were kind and helpful throughout the night, which helped in making it a night to remember. I would highly recommend this cozy little place to family and friends

OhSo cafe tucked away in one of the inner streets is a must visit hidden gem of Grey Lynn. I've had coffee and brownie from this cafe in the past (great coffee btw), but decided to hop in for a sit down meal. Ordered two of our favorites - steak and squid. Both dishes were well presented and great value for money. The steak was juicy and the squid was fried to the right level - an important factor of both the dishes. I'll definitely come again to try other lunch options.
Great ambience for a quick after work drinks or two too. They serve beer on tap and stock up good collection of NZ wines too.
Give it a try you will not be disappointed with the food, ambience and the hospitality on offer here.

So impressed by the top quality of hospitality by the team at ohSO. A fantastic venue for all events we will definitely be recommending ohSO over and over again πŸ™‚.

This place used to be good. If their pumpkin soup is anything to go by, I won’t be going back.
Waited for ages, pumpkin soup was basic, not the way kiwis make it and the toast was stale, all for $12. Sorry lovely Indian owners I wish you all the best...

I went there Saturday and... I loved the coffee from that place , one of the best in the city, specially from Ponsonby area , it is a very friendly environment and the customer service is as nice as the coffee quality is. I highly recommend this place.

I work across the road so visit often, am usually quite impressed with the food but on Monday I bought a mince and cheese pie (which is usually so yum) but this time was so dry and seemed to have no cheese πŸ˜”, on tuesday (today) i got a date scone takeaway which completely crumbled when I tried to cut it in half, ended up eating it with a spoon...
Hope this was just a blip because this cafe is so convenient for me!

Friendly staff and has a great vibe to it. hidden gem in Ponsonby. Food is amazing. Definitely try the Chicken Fetticcune dish also the cabinet selection is full of flavours.
Bridget Alcock
Initial service was alright, staff were friendly, then it all went wrong, 1 of us was informed they had gotten the order wrong when the food arrived, order took ages to arrive, then we were told it would be another 10 mins to make the correct thing, something ordered from the counter cabinet took even longer than a salad to arrive, food is very overpriced, the vegetables in my salad were undercooked and a bit old tasting, staff took coffee order from 2 out of 3 of us and forgot to ask the 3rd person if they wanted anything, coffee was bitter & horrible....not many positives really!! cant understand why this place is always busy! is it one of those things where trendy people say its good but it actually isnt so everyone just follows suit and goes??

Superbly located with plenty of off street parking. The barista was warm and friendly with great food to accompany the entire CAFE & DINING experience that we had over the weekend.
The place is a old villa which has been refurbished into a neighborhood cafe serving great food and warm service.
Highly recommended while visiting Ponsonby and worth waiting for the ALLPRESS cafe being served by the friendly staff.
Loved the building and neighborhood and will be back soon.

Great menu, coffee and staff! Nipped in this morning for a light brekie and chose from the build your own part of the menu. Nice strong coffee!
Lana Maria Lazarevich
Cute little joint tucked away from busy Ponsonby with a great range of cabinet foods, friendly service and good quality coffee and hot chocolate :-) it's a little pricey but definitely worth it!
Steph
We will go back to this place. We liked the coffee and the location. Friendly staff. One good thing about the breakfast menu is that you can build your own from a list of stuff so I just went for avocado on multigrain. It would be nice if they used a different brand of bread apart from this one that all the cafes seem to use (Loaf? I could be wrong). It doesn't have much flavour and the texture is always so woolley. Better off with a supermarket brand I reckon.

Personally i really like the cozy environment here. They actually have a small car park behind the cafe but it's a bit tricky to get into. The staff were friendly and coffee was great too.

This cafe is just Devine, we have been a few times and always just gets better and better. Definitely recommend this place to you all, head down and check it out

This is not our first time in this place, we actually come here quite often on the weekends.Β

One reason we quite like this place is because it's situated in a location that is not busy all the time, so car parking is not a big deal. Also, despite the fact there's always people on this place, it's not crowded like most of the cafes here in Auckland (we like quite places when having lunch).

This time, we had scrambled eggs, toasts, mushrooms, long black, flat white, smoked salmon and potatoes. In general, the meal was not bad but they could have done a better job on the presentation. The ciabatta was quite small as well, I think they could be more generous on that.

There was one think that quite bother us, is that there were a lot of flies on the establishment. I don't know if this is because of the weather, of something else but the fact is there were flies and they were quite annoying.

People are quite nice, friendly and service is fast, hence, nothing to say on this matter.

Here are my 0.50 cents, if you are close to Ponsonby looking for a more reserved place to have quick bites or even grab a coffee to take way, this might be the right one for you.
Danny
A must try for lovely coffee and great service.

If your hungry you shouldn't go past the German Farmers breakfast. Lovely eggs with capsicum, bacon and gorgeous little potatoes. It's Friday treat for me that makes me want to come back for more on Saturday.

Give it a go and I am sure you will want more.

A local for us so we decided to give it a go!

Ordered the French toast and I made my own, ciabatta, poached eggs, bacon and hollandaise (aka deconstructed eggs benedict - I hate spinach).

Boyfriend enjoyed his French toast. He was super full afterwards (surprise for us!)! I even had a taste and it was pretty yum. Mine was standard as you would expect.

Coffee was delicious!! Would totally come here for coffee on its own.

Good service; staff were friendly.

No negatives really, except in the words of my BF "it feels very staged here like a grandparents cafe" and possible this has effected my rating. You know those places were coffee and food were good but you wouldn't come back and you don't know why..? Yeah one of those places.

Good if you're in the area :)

Best coffee and brunch in Auckland! Hidden away off ponsonby rd but worth stopping in, consistently good!! Highly recommend. Big servings with quality ingredients. Nice strong coffee.

When changing job's one of the challengers is finding a good local cafe. Should not have worried, this is a great one. Very high quality ingredients cooked with detail. It was hard to go past the Eggs Benedict with fresh salmon. Great coffee.

Kid friendly. Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere - the perfect spot for a rainy Sunday afternoon. On street car parks are pretty easy to come by on the weekend.

Excellent coffee, great food ( Mushrooms are a must have ) and friendly staff.
They also have parking down the back which is a bonus along with the back area which is handy for meetings.
Have also opened in Drake st, no doubt it too will do well.

I recently discovered this cafe and think it's great. It's not easy to find as it's away from the main Ponsonby shops but that's a bonus. The best coffee I've had in years and the food is scrumptious! Staff are really friendly and efficient I'll definitely be returning here sometime soon.

I have been here a few times on a recommendation from a friend and have enjoyed it every time! The food is great and the coffee like the service is excellent! I highly recommend the big vege breakfast!
Adrian
I have eaten here on many occasions when I'm in Auckland and have enjoyed the food and service! The coffee is outstanding and i bring guest here without hesitation.
