I love this place - if you want wholesome food full of flavour this is the place to go. Every meal that I have had is so tasty and the frozen meals and soup are great for nights that you can't be bothered cooking. Would recommend to anyone who wants a yummy meal healthy meal and great value for money.

My new favourite cafe! Every day the menu is different depending on what’s in season and what people have brought in! If you have surplus in your garden or trees bring it in. You will get free coffee or free meal. The food is made with love, and the staff are so friendly. One can also get fresh meals to take away for dinner or frozen meals. ��

By far the best place to pick up a healthy but delicious lunch or breakfast in the area. When you think about the options around for lunch, healthy isn't exactly an adjective that springs to mind... However Hammer & Tongs have well and truly changed that. Not only are the meals healthy but they are very tasty and gluten free. Every day you'll find something different on the menu and your tastebuds will be delighted. Keep up the amazing work guys, you deserve all the praise you are getting and more!

Hammer & Tongs have great food- so tasty, so healthy! Such a nice alternative to take-aways, and such an easy meal when you can’t manage to face cooking dinner. I love grabbing some of their pre packaged frozen meals for those busy evenings. They reheat well and are super tasty. I 100% recommend you try it! It’s my new fave!

Found this place when looking for some lunch in Silverdale. I was curious about the row of crockpots on the counter and the small, handwritten menu. It was quite simple really; choose one of the protein dishes and choose all or some of the 4 salads to go with it. You can have two sizes, medium or large. The dishes change each day. You can take away or eat in the bright, cosy dining room. On the day we went the choices were corned beef, or pork/kumara hot pot. We chose one of each and both were delicious. The salads were amazing, really fresh and tasty gourmet combos, and made me want to come back again to see what healthy, yummy fare will be on offer next time.
